What a day!

Yesterday's duty was one of the slackest I have so far.. but quite shiong in the beginning, becos I performed duty non-stop from 0900-1900!! Then its rest/sleep for me from 1900-0500! So you can say I have at least 8 hrs sleep =), and this is so so rare lah!.. All thanx to the sgt who planned the detailing, whom I think is 3SG Yifu! =).. Thanx ah if you are reading this blog of mine =)

Anyway, my first duty started with me and my other shift mate guarding a gate and there is nothing to look forward to, except tat the daily free lunch tat the uncle provides complimentry from his company! =).. and guess wat! I was actually waiting earnestly lah, but it didnt happen! No one gave us lunch.. so were thinking its either the uncle forgot all abt it, or the uncle didnt come yesterday to work.. so ya.. But thank goodness we were off duty at 1300, therefore, I went back to guardroom to eat my lunch lah! So ya..

Then its consecutive duty for 6 hrs until 1900. Then its staff parade and off I slept for the nite.. As I was abt to sleep, I had a slight "blanket party" frm my shift mates, becos they told me tat I was one of the lucky 3 fellows who most probably do not need to do SAF Day Parade Rehearsal!! But I was in a half sleepy mode, so I was like didnt care abt them and juz sleep loh! =)

Then this morning came, and its me waking up at 0440 (to get ready for my 0500 duty!), and I was actually perspiring, becos my friend had actually face the fan somewhere else.. haix.. but I woke up liaox.. wat to do?

Went over to do my dismounting table from 0500-0900. Felt very tired.. think becos I like sleep too much until shiok liaox.. I almost wanted to give in to the ZZZ monster but I didnt la! Eevrytime I wanted to sleep, I juz kept doing things, until abt an hour later, I started to feel awake lah!

The morning was usual lah.. do all those clearing up stuff as well as also make sure everything is in order and stuff.. and then I did some admin things for my shift (practically I have to make sure almost every single detail tat deals with my duty at table is done properly lah.. for example, make sure the books are closed at 2359, the boards are updated and clean, etc..)

So the day pass by until one difficult female 2WO came to change pass.. here is the scenerio!..

This 2WO was suppose to go into my base and she has alias with some of the ppl in my base of her presence today.. She was suppose to go collect some stores (dun koe for wat lah!..).. then this is how I started the conversation..

The 2WO passes me her 11B and her book in slip.

Me: "Hi."
2WO: *no reaction.*

Me: "May I know where u are going mad'm?"
2WO: "I'm going to Place A."

Me: *thinks where is Place A (this is becos different places in my base wld need a different pass!)*
2WO: *stares at me*

Me: *further clarify the place by giving her more options*
2WO: *gives me alternative names for Place A, until she settled for one alternative name (let's juz say this Place A.1).*
"you mean you don't know where is Place A.1?"

Me: *thinks for a while, and trying at the same time to mouth some other names for the place tat I know.*
"Izzit Place B?"
2WO: "Yaya.. Place B."

Me: "Mad'm, you got any escort or any clearance as in email to prove ur presence? Becos our base policy is tat if you do not have the above 2 things, I'm afraid we can't let you into the base."
2WO: *showing signs on her face of being fed up*
"I'm in army leh. If I'm a civilian, you can have the right to question me and stuff. But I'm in army leh. Why you can't let me in?"

Me: *dun koe wat to say, and therefore, I pyed to my PC and ask him his decision on the situation and at some point, I ask back the qns tat my officer called me to ask her!*
2WO: *she repeats herself*
"Hello! (in a very pissed off manner) You know or not? I'm in army leh. If I'm a civilian, you can have the right to question me and stuff. But I'm in army leh. Why you can't let me in?"

Me: *my PC pyed back his decision, and I told him all the answers tat the 2WO had told me. No clearance, no escort. And he then ask me to call Place B to check of her presence, but I rejected tat order from my PC to call Place B, becos at tat time, it was 0730 and Place B doesnt open till 0800. I then cannot take anymore of this 2WO nonsense becos if I do so, I wld juz explode lah! So I immediately ask him to come to talk to the 2WO instead*
"Sorry mdm, my officer wld speak to you instead.."
2WO: *gives me tat kind of pissed off look again!*

Then I actually held quite a long queue becos of this matter, becos I was all alone at table and tat time is quite peak hour liaox, so quite a lot of ppl.. Though I try my best to hasten the speed, however, I wld try to do everything in order and not haphazardly!

Anyway, I then ask the person whether he is going to restricted places of the base, which again requires a different pass. And juz as I finish my sentence, the person told me, "I Sembawang ppl".. I was then thinking to myself.. "of course I koe lah! I can see ok..".. and he not saying the 3 words, "I sembawang ppl!" in a nice and polite way loh! He speaks as if he was pissed off! I was then thinking to myseld, "Well, I can do nothing! I'm the only one in there and you juz happen to be so unfortunate to be behind tat problematic 2WO! and you are blaming me for being too particular and stuff or holding uo your time? I dun care lah! You have to wait!"

But of course, I didnt keep him waiting.. I was juz thinking abt tat myself lah at tat pt of time! =)
Then as if its not over, the 2nd person after him also told me he is sembawang ppl.. and I tell you.. I juz somewhat brush him off after he finish saying his 3 words, "I sembawang ppl", and then I replied, "i koe i koe".. fwah! tat 3 words juz irritates me lah! arghh!!

After talking abt 5 minutes to the 2WO, my officer came in and he actually called the pt of contact tat the 2WO provided him, and he told me to issue the 2WO her pass.. And after giving her the pass, she did not thank me.. she thank my PC instead! I was like "ok.. what a difficult 2WO to please! and she didnt even showed her gratitude to me! arghh!".. I wondered what am I going to do to her if she comes for her nxt trip to my base.. she better hope I forget who she is due to her STM or else.. *evil grin*.. I dun koe lah! Who koes.. I may not remember her at all.. whahaha..

Thru tis 2WO thing, I then start to realise how difficult the world is, esp. in the working world! I'm sure if I meet customers, ppl are gonna get more nasty than this lah! So haix.. juz take it as a lesson lah!

Dismounted duty and got news frm my bunk mates and stuff tat the news of me not going to SAF Day Rehearsals was true lah!! My friend then ask me whether I want to go.. and I paused for a moment to choose my answer..

I then asked boon sen, "all of our bunk mates going?"
Boon sen then replied, "ya.. all going"..
I then replied, "ok loh! Go for SAF Day loh!"..

They thought I was joking initially, but after much probing, they confirm tat I going lah! Even the 18 yr old guy, called Randy, actually ask me whether i was shack? I then replied "no lah.. why?".. he then said, "you sure u want to give up ur exemption frm SAF Day? you shack until you dun koe what u toking rite?".. I then gave a firm "no!" lah!

You all muz be thinking, wah! Abriel so garang.. want to wayang.. but actually no loh! This is becos I dun really koe how to explain, but the gist of my stand to go to SAF Day Rehearsal is simple.. its simply like I feel its not very nice for me to like juz sit down and see my friends suffer in the sun whilst on parade, whilst I'm either slacking away or sleep in bunk.. its juz not rite lah I feel! My motto is simple.. one for all and all for one! Moreover, my bunk ppl are my good and closest friends becos we all came from paya lebar fdc course and also been thru thick and thin together.. so naturally, I wld feel tat strong friendship bond with them lah! Moreover, been thru with them GOH last yr too and in the same bunk for abt a yr liaox, so ya.. naturally, we all bond together lah =).. so ya.. so to put it simply, its juz a word to make me give up the exemption of going for SAF Day, "FRIENDSHIP".

Then bathe and came home by cab (share with boon sen of course) to have lunch.. then its me proceeding to UOB @ Toa Payoh to check my Visa Debit Mini linkage of account status, becos apparently I had a 10 min duration call with the UOB Customer Officer yesterday and what she told me was quite redundant! She actually said my card was not linked yet, though its already 1.5 wks liaox since I sent the acknowledgement slip (and on the paper, they said tat it needs up to 7 days!).. blah blah blah.. then finally, she told me tat the have an immediate linkage, I shld proceed down to the bank instead.. and then I ask her the final qn.. "if I dun go down to UOB and wait for my card to be activated via the acknowledgement slip, wld you all like send me a letter to notify me tat my card is linked?"
She then replied, "no sir."
I was like "ok.. then how do I koe whether it is successfully linked or by when do I know?"
She then said, "you can juz do transactions with ur card and see whether it goes thru loh, or you can go down to the bank to check but before proceeding down, you can call us to check the linkage status!"..
I was like "duh.." then said thank you and I put down my phone..

So thinking of its juz yesterday my card has not been linked yet, therefore, I made a trip down to UOB @ Toa Payoh loh! And when I went to the teller, she checked my card and after tat, she said its linked liaox! I was like "WTH! Made a wasted trip liaox.."

But it didnt appear so.. manage to buy toa payoh rojak for lunch to share with my mum lah =).. yummy..

Came back home and on this blog liaox loh!

k lah.. I dun think I will come online or blog tml, becos I dun think I have the time to come home lah!.. SAF Day rehearsals are whole day, so therefore, by the time I'm back frm SAFTI to my base and then home, dun koe wat time liaox, and by time, I still have to be in camp by 2300, becos the nxt day (thurs) have NDP rehearsals. so ya.. this wk is gonna be a busy wk becos its rehearsals, rehearsals and more rehearsals.. haix..

Oh.. I'm gonna watch Spore Idol tml (now becoming a fan of it liaox loh!).. becos the 2 contestants of Singapore Idol I know them lah.. here are their profiles on Singapore Idol webbie.. *Click on their names to access*

(a) Randy Chua - who is my secondary sch mate and we were in the same CCA in sec 1. I then found him on friendster thru my friend's profile, and added him.. and said hi and stuff! In fact, I even saw him dancing with SAF MDC (Singapore Armed Forces Music & Drama Company)last yr at my airbase's anniversary celebrations, and he claimed tat he saw me too! Man! What a small world!

(b) Terence Tay - who is my godbrother's (derek) friend lah! Juz saw him on Randy's friendster, and then juz surf and explore and then I saw him lah! And I was so surprised to see him being associated with derek! Best loh! man.. so no harm of geting more friends in friendster, I added him into friendster, and surprisingly, he added me too =)..

Oh.. so can't wait for terence's performance tml (wed - 31/5) and randy's performance (wed - 14/6) both on Singapore Idol! =)

A new look!

Hey ppl! Surprised? This is my NEW outfit for my blog!

Actually I like wanted to release this new look like in the nxt few days, but I realised I did not have the time to do so becos of my packed schedules.. wld tok abt it later lah =)..

Anyway, I didnt really go out today lohx.. stayed within the 4 walls of my home.. haix.. sianx =(.. So to spend my time constructively, I decided to do up my blog and give it a new look lah.. So I spend 4 hrs on this lah! Long rite? I also think so! Oh.. I wld like to give credit to my bro, Sidney, for giving me an opinion as to which choice of blog shld I go for =).. Thanx bro!

You wld have realised tat once I change the look of the blog, I wld also change the music on this blog! U all like the music? I think its quite cool lah, becos its like retro and at the same time, its jazz.. 2 into 1.. how nice of Kenny G to play such a nice piece =)..

And ok.. if you have any comments for my blog, pls. feel free to say it in my Shoutbox! so ya.. looking forward for your comments but no guarantee tat I'll be able to follow lah! =).. juz give me ur comments (if any) and I'll see wat I can do ya =)

Ok.. shall blog abt my usual events..

Yesterday was NDP rehearsal and it was like a bit slack.. becos the time slot for us is 9 hrs, but out of this 9 hrs, we rested for 4 hrs (2 hrs lunch break and 2 hrs for the rain to stop!).. so ya.. but the rehearsal was shiong nevertheless!

During the breaks, I saw Ryan in his army uniform with his LTA rank and then as he turned over to my direction, he saw me and he told me he was finding me actually.. I then chatted with him loh, and at the same time, I need to get use to his look like tat in army uniform, becos usually when I see him, he wld be in his tshirt and jeans loh.. and this is actually the FIRST time I've seen him in army uniform =).. (FYI: Ryan was there to help marshall the ppl traffic for the supporting army contingent!.. so ya..) and then at the side of my eye, I can see my friends are like looking over my direction as to how come a LTA come and talk to me.. but after quite long, I think they have more or less figured out tat he (ie, Ryan) was my friend lah =)

Then its back at camp.. send arms (which lasted like 20 mins instead of the normal 5 mins, becos yesterday's duty officer which was in charge of our sending our rifles during the weekends, was super particular! haix..) and ate McDelivery for dinner.. Ate McSpicy Meal (with curly fries) upsize! but then again, the curly fries i dun like lah.. so ya.. i prefer the normal fries..

Then its sleep for the nite and then woke up this morning, send arms and bk out lah..

Came home and then on my computer and started my blog designing.. so ya.. spend 4 hrs on this blog design lah! then, later in the evening, proceed over to HMV Citylink to collect my Hong Junyang's CD..

Came home and join my parents for dinner at Kovan.. ate teochew porridge for dinner.. not bad! Its been a while since I eat teochew porridge loh!

Then came home and watched my taped Hong Junyang's new music video, Sha Sha De Shui.. but then I realised tat as I watched halfway, the video suddenly cut.. I was wondering why.. but then again, I think its becos the timing I cut was too early and they showed the music video late.. haix..

Then I went to my computer and listen to Hong Junyang's CD.. My verdict was ok lah.. not bad loh.. though some songs really needs a little bit more listening to, and then I wld start to fall in love with the song.. so ya.. some songs are juz like tat lah! But 3 tracks of the album (LOVE, Liu Shui Nian Hua & Sha Sha De Shui) really makes me feel very good, as in these 3 songs I think are the best in the album.. if u are interested, go get urs at all good music stores yah! HMV sure have one =)

Ok lah.. before I go off, here is my schedule for this wk:

Mon (29/5) - Mount duty

Tues (30/5) - Dismount but be back at camp before 2300

Wed (31/5) - SAF Rehearsal @ SAFTI MI(frm 0900-1700), if not P1, can bk out but be back at camp before 2300.

Thurs (1/6) - NDP Rehearsal @ Nee Soon Camp (from 0900-1200), if not P1, can bk out but be back at camp before 2300.

Fri (2/6) - SAF Rehearsal @ SAFTI MI(frm 0900-1700), if not P1, can bk out but be back at camp before 2300.

Sat (3/6) - NDP Rehearsal @ National Stadium (from 0900-1900).

Sun (4/6) - Off.

Mon (5/6) - Mount duty.

So you see whether this yr's GOH shiong or not loh! Go and judge urself =)

Oh.. one more thing before I go.. I actually saw my sec sch (saint andrew's) mate on Singapore Idol juz now.. He is none other than Randy Chua!

I first saw him dancing as part of the Music & Drama Company (MDC) during my airbase anniversary celebrations last yr.. Initially, I was surprised as to why was he in MDC and not at OCS, becos last time he is one of the fittest guy I koe lah.. and then dun koe wat happen.. becos for a fact, I koe MDC ppl only take in ppl who are like have some physical problems and then downgraded.. or maybe he is really tat good tat MDC has no qualms of taking him as their NSF artiste.. Anyway, then this yr I saw him on TV juz now in Singapore Idol.. Gosh! How small can the world be rite..

Another contestant is somehow related to me too.. The contestant is Terence Tay.. he is actually my kor's (derek) friend on Friendster.. dun koe how they are linked.. so yeh!

So Randy & Terence, you'll get my vote =).. Jiayou.. As for the gals, I dun koe any of them, but dun fret gals! I'll support u too.. some of them really have really good voices (not to mention tat they are pretty and cute too!).. if you are interested, go to the following webbie to have a look:

2LT Zhang is a joker thru and thru lah! When u chat with him, then u koe! Its always nice to have someone to chat with u jokingly, so it can always make ur day =)

LTA Ivan (my former shift PC) is going to ORD soon liaox, but he still so humble.. haix.. he still dun want to tell me when he is ORDing.. I think he scared we strip him again.. ha.. =P.. And its always a pleasure to chat with him too, becos he wld like counsel me and advice me on things lah.. whenever I need a listening ear and rant abt my problems in camp regarding my schedules, he never fails to like provide a listening ear, advice me on things and help me put back things in perspective loh! Thank you ah, Sir =) you earn my respect!

ok lah.. I better go to sleep liaox.. my sgt wenjie is online and he is bugging me to go sleep.. and also I'm sleepy liaox lah.. so I shall go into dreamland and I'll cya ppl real soon ya.. FDS 1st Roadshow a success!

Well.. never in my whole life I felt so shacked lah! And there are surprises too happening today.. so read on..

Today is THE day! It started bright and early this morning.. I was out downstairs doing some of the last minute fatigue work for the roadshow happening at 1330 this afternooon! So I went to do some of the poster boards with some of the specs.. and during the process, had fun with 3SG Wenjie lah! Haix.. too bad he's going to FDC liaox in June 2006.. like tat no one play with me liaox.. haix.. so sadx.. =(.. I tried to persuade him to not go for FDC, but he said tat its not possible, becos shortage of specs for the FDC.. haix..

Oh well.. I think 3SG Wenjie and me make a great team lah! We both are hardworking sia! All the little bit of details we actually bao ge liao!.. believe he and me is abt the same character lah, therefore, we can click lah =)..

Anyway, did finish all the boards at abt 11+am, and then bring up to the roadshow site to put up the boards and stuff.. I tell you.. it was humid lah! Then suddenly after tat, we rest for a while, before I was called down to empty sandbags! I was like initially said to myself, "ok lah.. a bit only"..

Then after we did the emptying of sandbags halfway, my sgt called me and my P1 group, to go up change into long 4, becos we wld be presenting the stuff tat are at the booths..

After lunch at cookhouse, went up to the roadshow site and then I like practically read the boards and try to digest as much of the info as possible, so juz in case if questions were being "shot" to me by the spectators of the roadshow, I wld be able to answer!!

My officer then made us choose our own booths, and I chose the M16 & SAR21 rifles booth, becos I'm familiar with them mah! But never did I expect, tat my booth is one of the most frequently visited by the spectators. I had actually said the whole thing like 4-5 times to different sets of ppl.. and each of the batch ask me roughly the same questions.. so I had to like kept repeating and repeating lah! Becos my sgts predicted tat the SAR21 wld be one of the most enquired weapon for me to show to them, therefore, my sgts told me wat additional information I needed to koe abt the SAR21 weapon lah! Moreover, my officer was also there to help explain the SAR21 weapon to the speactators, so its like I heard at the same time and absorb in wat he said.. so when the nxt batch of ppl come, I wld be able to tell the additional info lah.. machiam like give them tat I'm professional in my job.. ha =P..

I really felt tat I was like the salesperson for the SAR21 rifle lah!! I jokingly told my sgt after tat if I ever run out of job, I can go apply for OSIM salesperson.. ha..

We slack for close to 30 mins, becos the spectators went for some meeting.. After the break, they went in for another session.. and once they went in, the whole site was being pulled down IMMEDIATELY! In like an hour, the whole place was emptied lah.. except the dog sect's tentage.. my officer called the person in charge and told him to ask his men to come and help to tear down their tentage.. apparently, its like own shift tear down their OWN tentage.. initially my PC didnt want to help the dog sect to pull down their tentage, but the mounting shift PC (2LT Huijie) helped to do it lah.. so its like he and his men only.. so seeing them like in pain, I went to help.. and soon, 2-3 ppl frm my shift also helped to tear down the tentage.. when my officer saw this, he like complain a bit and I think he felt bad lah! Haix..

And like within an hour after we tear down, the sandbags were at downstairs of my bunk block.. Other ppl (other than my shift mates) that u see actually come and help in the carrying and/or emptying of the sandbags which muz be completed today, and mind you, its not like 50-100 sandbags! Its like close to a thousand sandbags lah! Man.. appreciate their help man! Thanx ppl if you are reading this..
Oh.. forgot to mention who are the ppl who helped.. here they are.. its a tribute to them lah =)

(a) Sidney (who actually is not obliged to help becos he is COPA, and he got office work to do rather than helping us, but its so sweet of him to help us lah =).. thanx bro! )

(b) Samuel Tan (he is the OCPA in our squadron.. another helpful guy.. he can juz stay at one side and jzu tell us wat to do whilst he slack in his office.. but he didnt do it lah.. instead he help loh!)

(c) 2LT Zhang Jiachuan (who is actually dismounting frm duty today, but he stayed till 6pm to help us and then he leave!)

(d) Timothy Chek (who is also actually dismounting frm duty today, but he stayed till 6pm to help us and then he leave!)

(e) 3SG Vicknesh (who only work frm 0800-1700 today becos he was on half day yesterday!)

(f) SSG Lim

(g) SSG Poh (who was our additional driver for our sandbags)

(h) 2SG Chiu Tze On (who was also our additional driver for our sandbags)

(i) 3SG Wee Ying Qing (who is also actually dismounting frm duty today, but he stayed till abt 5pm to help us and then he leave!)

Oh.. today is actually the first time I've seen Sidney in vest slack lah.. dun koe wat's got into him loh.. maybe he want to help lah.. so ya.. Anyway, then he was like being lame and stuff.. and we actually saw each other 10 times whilst he was in vest slack.. so if u want to count like tat, I already saw him in vest slack for 10 times lah =).. super lame rite? =P

Ha.. ok lah.. now super shack liaox.. think my right bicep is getting larger than the other loh! ha.. =P.. wonder whether tml I'll be able to tong the NDP rehearsal at Khatib Camp frm 1000-2100.. haix.. =(

Ok lah.. gtg and sleep liaox.. Tml I'll be P1, so the nxt time I come in wld be on Sunday loh! =).. but b4 tat, I will make a trip to HMV Citylink for the collection of my Hong Junyang CD, becos today a bit late liaox (tat is bk out frm camp), therefore didnt want to make a trip down to Citylink or else I wld be late for cell at my house.. haix.. can't wait to have his album at hand loh =)

Surprises..

First things first, this is the request of 3SG Neo Wenjie (one of my shift sgts).. He asked me to do the following for him in this blog..

"At 11.12am, I saw a pimple on his face and when I saw it, I wanted to burst it lah! But he got out in time, so didnt get to do it!"

3SG Wenjie muz be very happy to see this.. ha..

Anyway, according to my other sgt in my shift, 3SG Yifu, he said tat my blog has been widely read by my camp ppl.. Oh well.. maybe its the history of websites have not been deleted yet ba.. so dun think tat my viewership of my blog is tat high yet! But, if it really happens, then, thank you all readers for your continuous support! Currently, I'm in the works of revamping this blog of mine, but I need time.. so appreciate all of ur patience ya =)

Ok.. let me get on with the blogging..

This morning got some fatigue work becos its like my CO want to vet the whole thing before tml's actual event.. so ya.. thank goodness tat my CO never said anything and I assume he was quite happy with wat we all do for the roadshow?

But the morning part, my shift personally witness a heated quarrel between my PC/officer and the Dog Section IC (who is on his way to become a 2WO), all becos of the dog section IC has used our tentage without my officer permission and he dun care abt whose tentage is tat.. as long as its in his position and there is a tentage, he juz dun care and use it loh! Even though we have built a spare tentage for him, he didnt use it lah.. but anyway, to solve the quarrel, my PC actually suggested tat we move the tentage to somewhere else and let them use the tentage we built for them.. they both agreed in the end lah.. then the dog section 2IC have like being a mediator, suggest tat they (the dog sect ppl) help us to move the tentage along with us, and after which, we help them in the tentage.. so ya.. then its all solved loh!

When my CO came, all of us were told to hide lah.. so a grp of us went to sit in the dining room and juz relax and chat a bit.. then we chat abt Da Vinci Code and then, we talk abt Christianity stuff.. so at the same time, I spread bits and pieces of the Gospel lah =).. and when I told tat I gave tithing every mth (ie, 10% of my gross salary, so as to show my appreciation to God for wat he done so far in my life, and this money wld then go to the church and help in watever financial needs the church has lah), they got shocked lah! But oh well.. =)

Then we bk out in the evening loh.. and as we bk out and when almost we are reaching near the Main Gate, a technician stop by with his Toyota Wish Car and asked us (6 of us) whether we wanted a lift down to Toranto Gate.. We were so happy lah, becos its like its seldom we get such lobang!

Then its me taking a train down frm Yishun to City Hall to collect my Hong Junyang CD frm HMV Citylink (I pre-ordered last wk and on the slip, it is suppose to come today lah!).. But to my horror, I've been told by the staff over there tat the CD has not come into the stores yet due to the supplier's delay! I was like quite furious lah! I came all the way frm Yishun and now they told me tat I have to come back tml instead.. arghh... But wat to do? I can't do anything..

After which, I went to Carrefour supermarket to buy some of my toiletries and run round Suntec City to do some errands lah, before reaching home at abt 8pm after 1 hr of bus ride!

So I guess I have to make a trip down to HMV Citylink again tml.. juz hope tat the CD wld have come by then lah! =)

ok lah.. gtg and sleep liaox.. Tml got roadshow.. hope I dun mess up the whole thing tml lah! I think I wld be like the salesperson tml loh! Hahax..

Shack till the core!

Man! For once I felt so shacked lah! This morning it was seeing my officer's "colour".. apparently I think he is showing his dismay in terms of like becos we didnt want the shift outing, he like tok to us in a very bad manner and machiam like going to eat us anytime.. Frankly speaking, I was quite pissed off with him this morning lah!

Then its brunch.. then fall in and the whole day it was fatigue work.. firstly, my part was to fill sandbags (1500 to be exact and ALL muz be done today!), but after tat, they need help in setting up tentages/shelter at another place lah! So there I went loh..

Initially, I didnt koe how to set up a tentage and tie the ropes and stuff.. but becos I did it the WHOLE day, and I help to set up to abt 5-7 tentages, I now koe how to set up the tentages right at the back of my hand! So now more professional liaox!

Today bk out at 6pm loh, becos tml my CO want to vet wat we did tml afternoon, so need to rush lah! Then last min my OC came and vet, and u koe wat he told us? He told us to do another tentage for the dog section ppl.. I was thinking to myself.. we are abt to bk out liaox, and like tat still need to do for the dog section ppl? Can't they do themselves? Are they tat slack? Aiya.. I dun koe lah! OC call us to do, we can dun do meh?

Oh.. tml NDP rehearsal is CANCELLED, so its booking in tml morning but as usual, tml still have fatigue work.. haix.. and I think I'm going to see my church friend, Ryan, who is a LTA in RSAF (ADSD) who wld be doing a bit of traffic marshalling and stuff at Khatib Camp this Saturday, which I'm attending it lah.. so I think most prob I wld be able to see him loh =)

A close shave with death!

Yes! The title says it all!

Well.. on Sunday when I was serving my P1 in camp, it was like I have to walk down to guardroom to put my rifles.. and its not only me loh.. its my friends as well..

Anyway, the story goes tat we were walking and then suddenly at the side of my eye, I saw a black thing.. and to my horror, I saw the black cobra with its head poised up and facing the opposite direction tat we are walking.. and no.. its not like a metre off or sumthing.. its like I was only abt 30cm away frm the black cobra! Juz speaking of which, gives me the creeps lah! At tat moment, my heart is like juz jumped out frm my mouth lah, and at tat moment, I juz realised how precious life can be loh! And I also realised tat I did not want to die so young! =)

Then the rest of the day its helping the sgts doing the roadshow stuff.. pasting and stuff.. tedious lah.. and it doesnt help tat I did not have enuf sleep the previous day loh!

Then yesterday's duty was not as bad as last wk.. but then I volunteered for extra 2 hours duty (table lah!).. becos I need to do impt stuff at Table.. its the normal admin stuff.. help to settle all those "shit" tat ppl left behind.. in other words, I help to clear up the mess tat ppl left behind, so to put everything in order lah! So helpful rite.. ha =P

And yes.. thank God tat the shift outing was cancelled due to popular requests lah!.. imagine I attended the shift outing? I'm gonna die, esp. after mounting 24 hrs loh! sure die one!

Anyway, after tat, came home and slept for a while, before going back to The Cathay to watch "The Da Vinci Code" alone loh, becos its either movie kakkis not free or they last minute back out.. haix.. sad rite?
Anyway, my critic of the movie? Well.. I wld think the show really deserves a 2 out of 5 stars rating.. Apparently, the movie was a bit draggy (running time is 149 mins) and the gospel part of the show was totally ATROCIOUS! It is simply fake doctrine lah! Man.. Dan Brown can make up such a story? I applause him lah! He actually distort the Truth.. haix.. real sad! But wat kept me watching is not the gospel part, but instead, its the mystery tat goes on how Tom Hanks (who was the lead actor in this show) solved the mystery! So ya.. but other than tat, its boring! Oh man! I shld not have watch this show in the beginning lah! It was such a hige disappointment! Haix..
Hope nxt time not as bad! Nxt wk watching XMen 3! Any takers? SMS me ya if u are interested =)

ok lah! gtg liaox.. tired after duty today.. tml go back camp for standby.. haix.. tml sure have lots of fatigue work waiting for my shift! SIANX ah!!

Combine rehearsals..

Hey ppl! It's jazzkool here again!! =)

Today went back to camp as usual but half asleep lah.. slept late yesterday nite lah.. so ya.. I practically slept like for abt 1.5-2 hrs lah.. then went to cookhouse for lunch..

After lunch, I came back and then as I was abt to leave for the bus, I got bored, so I like play play with my friend lah..

Then dun koe wats wrong with him.. he suddenly rush to me and wanted to like take off my pants in front of the public lah (pervertic rite?).. Of course (any normal person wld too) wld like resist lah!! Then I cldnt take it liaox.. He also like force me down lohz, with the help of 2 guys.. but in the end, I got so angry tat I like resisted my best and I actually like beat him back and showed him my angry look, but he refused to let go.. I then like start to fight back, until one of the person holding me called me to stop and asked me to relax..

Later did I koe tat one of the buttons came off and one of the buttons hole tore lah! I was then very angry lah until once rehearsal started, I cooled off loh! =)
People kept asking me whether I was ok, and I replied "ok lah".. then at least the person who did the thing to me, actually came and said sorry to me lah!.. so ya. at least all is forgiven! =)

NDP rehearsal started at abt 1400 at Khatib Camp.. this time with all the supporting contingents (eg: sec sch uniform grps and various organizations such as NTUC Club)..

During the breaks, I didnt see my friend, Zijing, during rehearsal.. tot he absent or sumthing.. but actually, he is at the back row, due to his space problem in the contingent.. so anyway, at breaks, I manage to catch up with him lah.. Quite enjoyable talking to him actually =).. oh.. I also manage to talk abt duties and other stuff with another Paya Lebar Airbase guy (whom I only see him during my stay at Paya Lebar Airbase for my FDC Course, but did not koe him personally).. So ya.. so the breaks are helpful in catching up with old times (with Zijing) and talking and comparing duties between various airbases! =)

Rehearsal ended at abt 1830 and by the time we leave Khatib Camp, its abt 2000 liaox.. and boon sen and I bk cab and cabbed home lahz.. =)

Oh.. anyway, this post is also a tribute for my sgt, becos they actually stayed over at my officer's hse for doing my squadron's upcoming roadshow stuff! Apparently, its finished liaox, becos its like I did most of the pasting and stuff.. so its left with being approved by my biggest boss.. but to my sgt dismay, it has ALL been rejected.. and he only gave us till mon to do it and being approved it once more! My biggest boss certainly has high expectations! Was angry at first, but then again, wat can I do? Then the other day my officer got angry, so tats why he did a standby bunk at 1715.. I wld think he kenna scolded by my biggest boss lah! Haix.. the woes of being an NSF.. but wat to do? Juz serve and leave SAF lah, until ur next reservist loh!

Ok lah.. gtg and sleep liaox.. gtg back camp tml for P1 and susequently, mon got duty.. Tues is my shift outing and my officer made it compulsory for us to attend, and he actually settled it for Sentosa (which we actually objected lah! It was initially movie and lunch, but dun koe how come like tat loh!).. and I actually brought all my things to camp (both Sentosa and movie things).. so juz in case loh there is a change of mind, I got at least some contingency plans lah! =) see how lah!

Also gonna watch Da Vinci Code with another friend of mine! Can't wait for it lah! =).. So I'll cya soon ya..

The change..

Well.. there are certainly a lot of changes today lah..

First things first, this blogger screen (when start to write a blog onscreen) is blue in colour.. so not bad for a refreshing start lah..

Today's life run led by CO was surprisingly ok.. think becos quite a lot of weak commanders are running, after much feedback tat the last time he run, it was super fast.. so ya.. running in step and shouting out the timing simply made the run much easier and faster..

Then after which, went to the I-Net room to check my email, but then soon, my sgts came in and then they saw me and immediately, they call me to do the roadshow stuff lah.. So I had no choice but to do it lah.. did it for like 1 hr + and then went back bunk.. Had a short nap before I was awoken myself becos cant sleep anymore liaox..

Then at abt 1630, before we wanted to bathe, suddenly instructions has been past down tat we are to only book out at 1730! Usually its 1700! I dun koe why the sudden instructions frm my sgt lah.. reason is becos my officer want to conduct a stand-by cupboard to see whether we got any contraband items.. then by the end of the stand by bunk, it is already 1730 liaox..

Then Boon Sen like psycho me to take cab, but I didnt becos I wanted to buy Hong Junyang new CD lah.. his pre-order for the new cd is coming out frm today (19/5) to wed (24/5).. so I initially went to Jubilee's Centre CD Rama, one person say dun have and another told me say tml.. so anyway, I said ok and left.. then on the bus home frm AMK, I had another idea.. I called up HMV Citylink to see whether they got stock and surprisingly, they got stock.. so since I was on bus 133, I decide to sit until Suntec loh... but then felt too long.. therefore, I took the NEL instead! Reach Citylink quite fast.. After buying the CD, I rushed back home for cell group la!

Whilst on the way to the bus-stop, guess who I saw! I saw a massive traffic build-up near the junction of Suntec Cityy & Raffles City.. and I tot sure traffic light spoil.. But never did I imagine tat actually our dear Senior Minister (SM) Goh Chok Tong, and Minister for Defence, Mr Teo Chee Hean, was present at Suntec City, and all those traffic police I saw was actually part of their escorts lah! Dun koe exactly why they were there, but ya.. finally see SM and one minister up close liaox.. I tot I wld only see them on TV.. ha..

Didnt eat my dinner until abt 10+pm.. best rite.. ha! Becos hving cell mahx, so not nice to eat in front of other ppl loh! =)

Then after cell, I started to on the computer and blog liaox.. at the same time, on MSN chattng with friends too loh.. And at the same time, listening to Hong Junyang's single, "Sha Sha De Shui".. I tell you.. this is such a touching song, tat everytime I hear it, I wld like shed a tear or sumthing lah.. becos this songs speaks of the sound of the leaves being sweep away, and whenever u hear the leaves sound being sweep away, you wld think of tat special someone.. so ya.. this song is juz so touching lah! I'm an emotional person lah, so cannot blame =)

Ok lah.. I got rehearsals tml.. so I have to sleep now.. waking up in 4 hrs time to go back to camp and then I guess have to have more sleep b4 rehearsals start at 1400-1900! So ya.. A bit sianx lah.. haix..

Updates..

Yesterday was P1 in camp, but it was tiring, becos the whole day was doing fatigue work (to be exact, its preparation for my squadron's upcoming roadshow.. and wats worse is tat for this particular fatigue work on this day, my shift have to fill 280 sandbags and each sandbag weights close to 5-10 kg of sand! Shiong rite?

I tell you.. all of us after doing it, was totally shacked out lah! Not to mention tat we had a run the same morning.. so naturally was super tired..

But thank goodness, I was P1 yesterday, so had a lot of time to like sleep loh.. I actually wanted to sleep at 2230 after watching Incredible Tales 2, but then, at 2130, whilst watching the Mandarin show on Channel 8, my eyes started to get heavy, and soon, I fell asleep lah! Then decided tat I cannot watch liaox, so went to my bed and in a split second, I was fast asleep!

Then Incredible Tales 2 started at 2200, but then again, when I want to watch, I wore my specs and watch but on my bed.. but within 1 min, my eyes close again.. so no pt.. decide to shut off frm the world and enter dreamland..

And surprisingly, ususlly I wld like wake up in the nites to see the time lah, but yesterday nite was quite cool.. I didnt wake up until my watch alarm rang! Cool rite.. =)

Then this morning got NDP GOH rehearsal at Nee Soon Camp.. rehearsals was usual; boring and tiring.. warm-ups were inevitable and speaking of which, the reserve parade RSM (if I'm not wrong) dun really koe how to conduct the warm-ups.. I tot the parade RSM was worse liaox.. but the reserve parade RSM was worst! Oh man! I better appreciate the parade RSM's commands man! =)

My base RSM (who is also the RSM in charge of Airforce GOH this yr) was very angry with my base's GOH attendance, as a lot of ppl didnt attend the rehearsal.. reasons behind it was tat most of them were on MC status.. so ya.. my RSM then threaten us tat if we kept missing rehearsals, we are deemed unfit, and therefore, he wld not hesitate to change them to put into shifts, and frm the shifts, he wld swop 1-1 loh!

But I dun think my RSM get the msg across.. We men was like saying, even if he swop no use, becos no one in the shift wants to be in GOH.. but I dun koe.. if he does carry out wat he says, then we shall see lah! And the sgts and us men was also saying tat the problem why so many ppl were falling sick, is becos of the shiong schedule we have lah.. we GOH shift have to mount duty and on top of tat, do fatigue work and then have rehearsals.. so you can see.. if ppl dun start to fall sick becos of this hectic schedule, then the fellow is considered real fit and a superman lah..

But I think my bunk mates (including me of course) are some of the few who really are tat fit or shld I say garang.. but if this really goes on, I wld think tat they (including me) wld start to fall sick lohz..

And wats worse.. the shifts and some of the HQ personnel have seen our rehearsal and mounting schedules for the moth of June, and they all agree tat its shiong lah.. So you see.. even other ppl outside of GOH shift say this yr is tough (have to mount duty and as well do rehearsals).. Apparently, our schedules for June is really packed.. 1 wk, we can have at least 4 drills (mon, wed, fri, sat) and sometimes the day after rehearsals, is our mounting.. so you see whether is this shiong or not?

No doubt tat we only mount 4 duties for the mth of june, but these 4 mountings makes all the difference between our physical and tiredness levels lah.. tat time I wld think more ppl frm my base wld fall out, and let's juz see whether my RSM wld do anything..

Anyway, today after our lesson with my PC, he asked ard whether got any heart-boiling issues loh.. Initially, I didnt want to do so lah, but then, I feel tat if I dun speak up, then I wld be letting myself down.. Anyway, I then raise up the issue of the mounting dates, and explain to him tat the SAF day rehearsals are not as easy as it seems! According to him, he promised tat he wld speak to the person who planned the mounting schedules and plead for us to like reduce the amount of mountings.. Initially he wanted to like help us cancel all our mountings for June, but he gave second tots and did not decide to do so.. haix.. see how things are nxt time loh..

Then came home and ate dinner and my sis was like watching this stupid, "Da Chang Jin" show on VCD somemore (sianz!).. (FYI: I boycott Jap & Korean dramas!)..

I got so fed up tat I went to the computer and start to on the computer and here am I blogging loh!

Then juz now, my dear bro in camp, Sidney, called me and rant.. Initially, I tot wat happen.. after speaking on the phone with him for so long, then he told me tat its his hair! Man oh man.. think he is a metrosexual thru and thru lah!.. but oh well.. ranting to someone is good.. not good to keep too many things within urself =)

And I think I'm a fashion consultant or sumthing lah.. ppl (including sidney) has been asking me for *ahem* fashion advice lah.. man.. do I have a good sense of fashion or wat.. ha.. =P.. but anyway, I'm glad to offer my fashion service to greta buddies of mine! So if I give u fashion advice, then u are considered as one of my great buddy lah =).. so Sidney, u shld be very honoured =)

Oh.. Juz realised why Sidney and I can click so well liaox.. becos he and me have similar characters in terms of behaviour and stuff (lazy to describe.. but he and me koe can liaox).. =)

Ok lah.. gtg liaox and bathe! Had not bathe since I was back in the evening =).. Think gonna sleep soon, becos tml got Life run led by my CO.. he run super fast lah!! Tml I think I'm gonna die liaox! Btw, as I finish writing this blogpost, its already 2350 and I have not bathe! I stink man!! haix... ok .. gtg liaox..

Oh.. congrats me somebody! Today is EXACTLY 5 mths to ORD.. I can for once use 5 fingers to count my ORD date liaox.. =) yeh! so cheers to me ya =)

Totally shacked out!

Well.. yesterday was duty in camp.. This is one duty which I felt totally shacked out lah..

Initially, my duty was quite relaxed as compared to last wk.. here is the schedule:

0900-1100: Main Gate
1300-1700: X Ray
1700-1900: Toranto Marshalling
2100-2300: Main Gate
0000-0100: Foot Prowl
0500-0900: Main Table

But becos of like suddenly one of my shift mates need to take IPPT, therefore, my duty became more shiong.. here it is.. you all compare the difference and tell me whether shiong or not loh..

0900-1100: Main Gate
1300-1700: X Ray
1700-1900: Toranto Marshalling
0000-0100: Foot Prowl
0300-0500: Main Gate
0500-0900: Main Table

So if you see above properly, though I had a long rest from 1900-0000, however, I cld not sleep peacefully until 2100 becos got staff parade.. Staff Parade started at 2000, so I find it strange liaox.. how come suddenly staff parade is 2000? Totally weird lah.. and true enuf, got contingency drill at 2115.. I was somewhat angry and pissed off lah, becos its like I was sleeping peacefully liaox and then activate drill.. haix..

The picture you all see on the left is Mount Mirapi in Indonesia.. This is the event which makes my shift all worried for yesterday and today.. Becos instructions has been passed down tat in the event tat the eruption has become bigger and more severe, we all wld be activated to marshall traffic.. Becos once eruption becomes bigger and more severe, the pilots in my airbase wld fly IMMEDIATELY to the site and before they fly off, their family members wld come to my airbase and see them off.. So ya.. tats why we all wld be activated and marshall traffic loh!

But thank God nothing happen lah, or else I die liaox loh.. Sure not enuf sleep! =)

Then morning I woke up at 0300, and I didnt sleep after tat loh.. becos continuous duty from 0300 loh.. My sgt suggested to me tat he will take over duty from 0500-0700, and then he let me sleep during this period.. I insisted tat I dun want to do so, or else I wld be more tired lah!

At Main Table duty, I was very tempted to like put my head down on the table and fall asleep, BUT thank God, I've got 1001 things to settle whenever I'm doing dismounting table (frm 0500-0900).. Got to do a lot of admin stuff and settle watever stuff tat the table personnels (in my shift, but they do table before I took over Table duty at 0500) did not do lah, for eg, updating the board and close bk.. So practically, u can say I'm more like those person who makes everything from untidy/missing to everything in order.. So ya.. I'm the type of person who cannot stand slipshot work and I'm a perfectionist lah! So to make sure everything is in order, I wld rather do it myself whenever I can, rather than complain to sgt and stuff and in the end, not only the person got scolded, but also, things dun get done.. so ya..

Samuel like asked me whether I was bored at Main Table at 0500.. I said I won't get bored becos I have 1001 things to do loh.. it keeps me busy and awake! so tats why I like dismounting table =)

Then during dismounting, there was a bit of misunderstanding of me not returning my stores etc (if found guilty, I wld sign extra duties).. but then after much investigation, they found me innocent, becos the person actually sign in 2 signatures! so ya.. not my fault mahx! gave me a fright of my life loh..

Then when I was busy at Main Table, Jingxian (my sec sch best friend) called and jio me out.. I asked him to call me back when I was not so busy and he did lah.. and we discuss wat we want to do loh..

So we decided to watch "Poseidon" at The Cathay lah.. actually can sense he dun want to watch "Poseidon" but I think he juz obliged lah, becos he want someone to accompany him loh, and he never see me for a long time liaox, so tats why he agreed loh!

Then I did the stupidest thing of my life lah! I wanted to check and see how the seats are, so to determine whether I shld like not bk online and go there and bk instead.. But I never see the "select seats" choice and I click "purchase now".. and they require me to like write in my details and once I click "purchase now", my tix were bought liaox.. Then I was like shocked lah!

Immediately I called up to try to cancel my purchase, but then cannot get hold of them loh.. so no choice.. Jingxian and I have to meet the timing of 1835 at The Cathay Cinema to watch "Poseidon"..

Before meeting Jingxian, I made a stopover at Yes! Eyewear to buy my contact lens. The reason I go there to buy my contact lens is becos I koe one person there and she is my neighbour in my block lah.. she gave me discount lah! (how much I can't say lah!).. But I bought Focus Dailes (All Day Comfort) due to budget lah.. and becos she is a staff there, therefore she gave me 5 pairs of 1 Day Acuvue Moist as trial pairs under my request lah.. Thank God for her lah! =)

Jingxian rushed frm camp to The Cathay via cab loh, but in the end, after we buy popcorn and stuff, just as we went in, juz nice.. the opening credits of the show.. we were juz 10 mins late frm the time of the show on the tix and it has already started! Gosh!! But at least we didnt miss any part of the show! =)

Initially when we went in, Jingxian was like asking me wats different from The Cathay & Cathay Cineleisure Orchard cinemas? After he sat the seats, then he knew the difference.. and we both agree tat the cinema is better than GV Plaza lah becos he initially swear by GV Plaza tat its better than any other cinemas!

My shift mates have given me mixed opinions as to whether "Poseidon" is nice.. I wld have more or less expected the plot liaox, but then wats makes me give this movie 3.5 out of 5 stars, is the way of how the movie gives u the thrills.. At certain parts of the show, the thrills make u tense up so much tat you wld want to be curious as to what will happen next! =).. So for those of you who like these kind of movie thrills, then this is the movie for you!

Then after the show, we went to Times Bookshop, becos Jingxian want to buy books mahx.. After tat, we went to Burger King for dinner at 2130! I had Mushroom Swiss becos if I eat my usual BBQ Turkey Bacon, I wld be fat in no time lah.. so ya.. tats why I decided to change taste.. but I regretted in the end lahx, becos it has become so salty loh! haix..

Then came home by NEL and now on computer blogging loh! Totally shacked! Soon, need to wake up and go back to camp.. Sianx..

What a feast!

Well.. had a great feast lah!! Its Mother's Day so wat do you exepct =)..

Anyway, first and foremost, I agreed u all tat I'll will blog abt my new outfit right? Here it is loh.. I handsome rite =P



Anyway, thank goodness I reserve the place for like 3 wks ago lah or else no place liaox.. =)

Was suppose to buy contact lens too, but then again, the rest of my family didnt want to follow, so tats why.. So didnt buy lah..

Then when we reached there, I request for a change of table, becos its like near the entrance and then its very hot, so therefore I suggest a change of table lah.. After much discussion among themselves, we finally got a seat.. Oh.. just to recap ur memory.. the dinner was held at Modesto's Restaurant at Orchard Parade Hotel.. So as usual, this blog is gonna be filled with food pics.. so here they are and their description is as follows:

(Tomato, cheese, Italian pork parma ham and Spicy Pork Salami)

This is under special request lah! I request for half of the ingredients (half pizza is parma ham and half is salami) on each side of the pizza.

Modesto's Special Pasta: Tagliatelle Nere Con Cappesante E Gamberi In Salsa Di Crostacei
(Home-made black ink pasta served with pan-fried scallops, prawns and diced tomatoes in a shrimp bisque sauce.)

Modesto's Special Pasta: Linguine Alla Modesto
(Flat spaghetti with fresh prawns, squid, clams, musseld, whole crab, anchocies, capers, black kalamata olives, dried chilli, garlic, white wine sauce, cooked in taditional Italian Cartoccio style.)

Again this is under special request. I request for white wine sauce rather than tomato sauce!

Dessert: Stravaganza Al Cioccolato
(Home-made Italian choicolate brownie with vanilla gelato ice cream)

Not too sweet.. Juz the way I like it.. Chocolatty and soft! =)

(The original version of mascarpone cheese, espresso, savoiardi fingers and coffee liqueur.)

(Lemon sorbet with a touch of white wine and vodka)

This dessert is superbly refreshing! The combination of sweetness and sourness just blends in so well together! Before the dessert is served, a wedge of freshly cut lemon would be served and you are suppose to squeeze the lemon juice. The alcohols (vodka & white wine) was quite tasteless, as in can't really taste them, but its good lah! =)

After the dinner, we went to Starbucks Coffee juz 2 doors away.. There, I got myself a Java Chip Frappucino.. Not bad lah! So at last I manage to try wat I wanted loh =)

Came home and settle some stuff for Sidney (juz in case u forgot who is he, he is my good bro in camp lah).. Chatted with him a bit loh, before I was back to my blogging.. but then, seeing the time was late, therefore, I juz upload the photos into this blogpost and sleep liaox.. so ya.. so I thought another day then type in the text loh.. so ya..

So ya.. I'm doing it now in fact.. ha.. ok.. I dun koe wat I'm toking liaox.. so guess I gtg =)..

A mad mad rush!

Yesterday nite at camp was quite a relaxed one.. Went back to camp after seeing my grandma at NUH.. the trip from NUH to Buona Vista MRT was quite interesting.. I actually for the first time in my life, actually go round asking ppl for directions as to which way to take bus 95 which will take me to the MRT station? And the best thing is tat I didnt felt embarrassed or shy or anything like tat..

Anyway, was totally shacked out in camp lah.. after bathing and on the bed, I totally slept lah..

Woke up to arrange my bed for 15 mins becos I was figuring out how come my blanket has "shrunk" (as in not able to cover my whole bed and not like last time..).. after 10 mins of figuring out, I realised tat the blanket was at the wrong side (tat is I lay the blanket horizontal rather than vertical).. so ya.. stupid me..

Then ate breakfast and then went for rehearsal.. and the rehearsal lasted half a day loh.. and of course, I felt tired lahz but still endure loh!

Rehearsal thank goodness ended like at 1220.. but then, dun koe who came up with the suggestion of like muz let the supporting contingent to go home first before the GOH start to make a move.. I mean.. wat kind of rule is tat?

Anyway, it juz takes like 10 mins to reach camp frm the rehearsal place (ie, at Khatib Camp), and we reached camp like at 1330.. and the worse thing is tat we called the duty officer to come and give us keys to armoury and stuff in order to send our rifles.. but then this duty officer dun koe wat take him so long, tat he took 30 mins to come.. so by the time I bk out, it was like 1420 liaox..

Then I cldnt wait liaox.. Boon Sen & I call and bk cab and though the fare was a bit expensive, but then no choice.. so ya....

Then it was a mad rush at home lah!! Came home, do the necessary things and like within 30 mins, I bathe and packed and ready to go to church again in cab.. this time with my sis lah..

Reached church like at abt 1545.. And at 1600, church service started.. and then I realised tat I had not have lunch, but the most funny thing is tat I dun feel hungry at all loh..

Service was ok lah.. playing for worship wise is quite ok too.. I think they purposely make my keyboard louder than the main piano.. I dun koe why.. but anyway, did play a few wrong notes becos the keys were too soft lah.. so ya..

Was surprised tat Wendy, Huimin & Derek came to church today.. then after service, went to Coca Restaurant @ International Building.. Had eat-all-you-can buffet dinner.. Dinner was not too bad loh.. Becos dun forget I have lunch & dinner together loh..

There you shld have see me eat.. I was like eating lots of stuff.. but my main dishes are jellyfish, cuttlefish, fish glue (which is actually some sort of fishcake), and beef tendon.. so ya.. not bad ya =)..

Ate my fill loh.. and oh.. juz to say tat huimin ALONE ate 5 plates of "tang o" vegetables.. isnt she a rabbit/horse or sumthing.. haha.. =P..

Carlise gave my family a ride in her new car, Toyota RAV 4 loh! Quite comfortable I muz say.. And in the car, I was talking abt some basic car terms with Carlise regarding her car.. and betcha my mum and my dad (probably) half the time dun koe wat I'm talking abt!

Anyway, came home and viewed some past publicity videos done up by Wendy last time in HCC.. Brought back a lot of memories.. then blogged loh..

Tired.. need to sleep liaox.. tml is another day.. in fact another dinner! Oh.. I manage to buy 2 shirts liaox.. tml then I blogged abt it ok.. now too tired liaox.. And also, I'm gonna to like wear my new wardrobe wear tml lah juz b4 the dinner starts.. so ya.. I take photo then let u all see.. =)

Garang..

Hey.. this is a tribute post to Samuel Lim Wee How of GOH Shift in FDSF SBAB.. he got a bee sting in his neck whilst falling in for GOH NDP Rehearsal at Nee Soon Camp on 11/05/06 (Thurs).. He actually insisted to ask the medic to take out the sting and then fall back in for the rehearsal, but the medic advised him not too.. so in the end, he was on drip and brought to Nee Soon Medical HQ for medical advice and subsequenly the sting was being brought out..

He was on drip from like 0900-1700, becos the MO there didnt want to give him an MC for it *poor thing*.. but wats so garang abt him is tat despite his stay at Nee Soon, even though we have enuf ppl for P1 yesterday, but he still drew arms at 1700 and stayed with us overnight in camp and performed P1 duty!!

And I agreed to write this tribute post for him! So here it is! Samuel muz be darn happy to see this! =)

Ok.. enuf abt me.. now its my daily post..

Well, yesterday was NDP rehearsal at Nee Soon lah.. dun koe why yesterday was really tired in doing the drills.. was not really concentrating.. its either I'm tired or the weather is too simply hot loh.. And then the Parade RSM was like siao or sumthing lah.. always forgot to clear arms before carrying on with other drills.. haix.. then its so freaking hot lah and he is like kept going on and on.. until ppl fall out becos of the hotness lah! haix..

Went back to camp and tot can like have an afternoon nap after putting our rifles at guardroom (a normal routine lah for P1!).. then went back to bunk and bathe b4 proceeding to canteen for lunch (becos cookhouse at tat time no food liaox).. then, my sgt called all to fall in for fatigue work.. I got so fed up tat we have not eaten and yet we still have to do fatigue work.. thank goodness my sgt say dun need..

Then when we almost finished our lunch, my sgt called us to fall in vest slack and help in fatigue work..

But juz as we are abt to fall in, the work is done liaox loh.. but then after tat, we got a word from someone tat we have to take down the stuff tat was built after like 45 mins later.. and then we went to the I-Net room to surf net and stuff.. then suddenly my OC came in and look at us.. then, I wa stunned for a moment.. he said my officer has been looking for us, and I told him tat my officer did not call or anything.. I told him wat we are suppose to do.. Then he said ok, can take down..

So initially, my sgt called for reinforcements.. but no one came down.. so my P1 group did everything lohz! So ya..

Then we bathe and go eat dinner at Cookhouse.. then at 2200, we cannot take it liaox.. all of us juz sleep lah! Too tired..

Woke up at 0700, went down guardroom to sent our rifles (the duty officer is one of my fave. duty officers lah!).. and by 0800, we left camp.. Took cab home and ate breakfast.. was craving for wonton mee and soyamilk, and tats wat my dad bought for me as my breakfast (I told my dad wat to buy lah.. u think he is God meh? haha)..

Then on computer.. do this blog and chat with various ppl lah!

Going to my pastor's hse for worship practice (for tml's service) and then go visit my grandma at NUH before I bked in camp tonite becos tml go NDP rehearsal at Khatib Camp.. totally sianx! =(.. but wat to do? haix..

Oh.. I'm going to try sumthing new in my dressing for the Mother's Day dinner at Modesto's Restaurant at Orchard Parade Hotel.. so ya.. gonna take a photo and then u all see how lah! =)..

Ok.. gtg liaox.. need to bathe and get out of the hse loh! Cya ppl soon as I cya ok =)..

Updates..

Today was quite ok in camp, except tat quite tired..

Slept at abt 0130 last nite.. woke up at 0530 to go back camp and by 0630, I was in cab and abt to go to camp liaox.. Was suppose to share cab with Boon Sen @ YCK MRT but then he overslept.. so in the end, I took cab myself to camp =(.. cab fare $8.40 loh!

Then had the CO Parade.. quite boring but its a monthly affair lah, so wat to do? Then its the officer same old "nagging" lah.. kept bringing up the past and they make GOH shift (which is my shift) look so downright unworthy and like we are the condemned shift or sumthing lah! Its quite saddening to hear these being repeated again.. but wat my CO said this morning at the parade was of some comfort.. he actually asked us "NOT TO COMPARE AS LIFE IS NEVER FAIR! Each of us (no matter whether its in the GOH contingent or in the mounting shift duty) have a part to play; each of us are just playing different roles."

Had brunch at canteen then went back bunk and sleep loh! Damn shacked lah! Then at abt 1340, my sgt called me to go down and do stuff for the FDS Roadshow coming up at my base nxt mth!.. did until like close to 5pm.. went up to bunk and then bk out lah!

Going back tonite as tml have rehearsal for NDP.. haix.. anyway, have to reach camp at 2300 and worst still, have a water parade.. I find it quite stupid loh!! You koe my bunk ppl like to sleep early, then becos of this, we have to water parade at 2300.. so we have to like either sleep later or sleep then wake up again! Sianx ah..

Anyway, I'm bkin in camp soon liaox, becos I wanna reach camp in time to watch Incredible Tales 2 at 2200 on Channel 5..

Ok ppl.. Will be on P1 tml, so cant chat with u guys/blog until probably fri afternoon.. so u all take care ya.. =)

MI:3 Fantastic!

Bought this pkt of chips to eat lah! Not bad, but a bit plain! But this is super healthy!! No trans-fats, no MSG, cooked with monounsaturated oil, etc.. I only give this chips rating in terms of taste, 60%.

Well.. after I logged off frm the net, I slept for 2 hrs, becos cldnt take it liaox..

Woke up, bathe and met Mingjun.. Mingjun was late, so I walked round PS for a while.. we agreed to met at PS Starbucks.. so ya..

It was raining, and fortunately I brought my umbrella along la, or else, both of us will get wet!!

Anyway, we went to go searching for the cinema, "The Cathay".. I koe roughly where is the location, but dun koe where izzit lah! So ya.. we manage to search it and when we start in there, I was filled with awe! The place is so so nice lah! Like the lift setting.. u all go there then u koe lah!

When I went there to collect the tix by my debit card, I was told tat the show I bked for (MI: 3 in digital format- apparently, it shld have a better sound and picture) has actually a technical fault, therefore, they shifted my timeslots to a later timing and a non-digital format.. I was shocked lah! And actually wanted to like ask them to give me discount or sumthing becos its appraently their fault, but didnt lah.. Anyway, Mingjun & I was a bit saddened by it lah, becos originally if it was in a digital format, we wld watch it in the biggest cinema and I heard tat its very good.. so ya.. nxt time perhaps..

Anyway, MI:3 is quite cool! For me, I wld give the movie 4 out of 5 stars! The action is really saturated and tats the way I like! And if you have watched it, u wld realise tat the 2 things tat is the most looked forward to in the movie, is the lamo car and Maggie Q. Maggie Q is hot sia in one scene of the show.. oops.. being carried away.. =).. Anyway, u all go watch then u koe wat I'm talking abt! =)..

Some ppl say MI:3 not nice to watch, which I dun koe why lah.. but Mingjun and I gave it our thumbs up!.. Anyway, after today, Mingjun & I are impressed with "The Cathay" cinema and decides to like if possible, go there to watch movie, instead of GV Plaza lah!..

Anyway, Mingjun and I made a deal.. its definately both of us catching movies at "The Cathay" in the mth of May.. anyway, the following movies are wat we plan to catch:

(1) "Poseidon" - Watching on Tues - 16 May (Movie opening on Thurs - 11 May)
(2) "Da Vinci Code" - Watching on Tues - 23 May (Movie opening on Thurs - 18 May)
(3) "X Men 3: The Last Stand" - Watching on Tues - 30 May (Movie opening on Thurs - 25 May)

I told Tjow abt this, and he called me siao, becos its like movie marathon or sumthing.. but I dun care.. I happy can liaox =)

Updates..

Yesterday's duty at camp was not too bad though shacked though.. This is becos though my duty looked slack to you, however, it was not so lah!

My duty started at 1300, and initially, it was just unarmed duty and checking cars. Howeverm my friend, somewhat psycho me to change duty becos at the later part of the day, I got Table duty and he is doing gate. So since I thought this is true, therefore, I agreed to the arranegment lah! *see.. I so good rite?*

But never did I knew tat it wld e more shacked than my duty. Not tat I'm complaining abt my duty being assigned, but I have been "jia gao gao" (which means been taken advantage of in terms of time in Hokkien). The first was I've been eaten for 30 minutes (becos according to the duty personnel, he said tat it was a last minute then he knew abt the arrangement.. I simply dun koe how much truth is in there.. so ya.. but anyway, tat was after my 4 hr straight Main Gate duty and since I've been taken advantage of 30 mins, therefore, you can say tat I did 4.5 hrs of duty!

As if its not enuf, in the evening, I was further eaten another 15-20 mins.. It was supposed to be my rest time but then the only driver in our shift has been tasked to do Main Gate frm 1700-2100, and he is also tasked at the same time to drive back the guys from another duty gate at 1900. So my sgt pyed over to the restroom and asked who is free.. And it seems tat I had the most rest time at tat time, so no one like want to go, therefore, I was like a bit pissed off liaox lah, therefore, I went out.
When I went out, I saw one of the specs there doing duty. I was a bit puzzled as to why he was there doing duty instead of the driver. But anyway, after much discussion, I found out tat he was planning to do the duty liax but when I came out, he gave the job to me.. so ya.. haix..

So in total, have done abt 50 mins of extra duty on top of my 12 hr duty! Shiong rite? Haix..

Anyway, all is not lost though.. I'm watching MI:3 with Mingjun later in the evening.. He also never watch before, and juz so happen I asked him whether he has watched the show, he said no.. so ya.. at last after so long, I found a movie kakki =).. We plan to go to the New Cathay Cinema to watch, and I'm pleased to announce tat it is confirmed liaox.. I bk the tix online! =).. Also watched the show is digital format, which is supposedly have better sound and picture (tats wat my sgt say!.. so ya.. see how later in the cinema lah!).. =)


Ok lah.. gtg liaox.. I shall blog tonite abt my moive outing ya =)..

The weekend is here!!

I had a lot of fun this weekend! I really let my hair down lah! Of course not literally lah (anyway, I got hair meh?.. ha.. If so ah, then I wld be a freak liaox! Ha..)

Church was a bit boring becos half the time I didnt koe what the speaker is talking abt. He has a very strong Indian accent.. and it doesnt help tat I'm quite sleepy though! So ya.. Tjow was like commenting to me midway tat the speaker recycles his sermons and stuff.. so ya.. But wat was surprising tat even though half the time people dun understand wat the speaker is preaching, but when it was time for altar call, ppl juz went up to be prayed and to be ministered! Well.. the power of God I guess! =)

After service ended, I suddenly felt very lethargic and restless.. Every youth tat I saw is like machiam juz had their energy drain to the max and they were not like the usual self I saw them during Youth service last wk! I think this cld probably be so becos of exam stress lah! So ya.. Examination woes! Nat was also not his usual lame-ing self.. think he's tired lah..

Then its time for dinner.. went to Meridian to have dinner lah.. Maybe I felt lethargic is becos I didnt had lunch. I juz had 5 chunk cubes of organic dark chocolate (leftovers from Friday's cell) for lunch and I ate it juz b4 I left for church.. So I think I was hungry lah.. so ya..

Anyway, I wanted to eat Wanton Mee for dinner, however, I was too hungry tat I forgot all abt it, and therefore, I ordered Basil Chicken for dinner.. I tell you.. the soup was though like tom yam, but it had coconut in it.. as if its not bad enuf, the basil chicken is really horrible! Man! I'll boycott that stall frm now on lah! Then I was not full enuf, therefore, I went to order Carrot Cake.. and then as a result, was too full.. haix..

After which, I stoned for a while in space lah.. suddenly felt real tired.. But I decide tat since this is a long weekend for me and I probably wld not have such long wkends until I ORD in Oct, therefore, I shall enjoy myself this wkend loh! So I persevere on and juz follow tjow and ryan whenever they go.. They usually have nite activities after dinner.. =)

They went up to play pool! Josh Gouw followed.. played 1 game with Josh but I lost though, becos I didnt played pool for like close to 6 mths liaox.. anyway, didnt really have the mood to play too lah.. guess I was too tired..

But whilst they play, there got TV, so I caught the live coverage of the voting results.. and its weird lah.. each time the result for each GRC/constituency were announced, the pool place wld suddenly be so quiet.. then when the result screen were gone, ppl start playing again and the noise level start up again.. then this cycle continues lah.. weird rite??

So they played until like abt 2330, then we (Ryan, Cat, Tjow, Mok, Esther & me) decide to go to KTV.. So we went to Mandarin Hotel's newly open KTV lounge, The One. Well, heard frm tjow tat the KTV lounge is opened by Lee Nanxing.. dun koe how true lah. but oh well..

Service was not up to standard, and the room acoustics actually sux lah.. not very good.. Things were quite ex too.. do you all believe it: Mineral water is more expensive than alcoholic drinks? 1 bottle of Mineral Water (choice of Evian, Ice Mountain & Perrier) costs $7 whilst beer/liquors costs like $9-$12 a glass.. When we see the drink menu, we got shocked lah! FYI: Ice Mountain in supermarkets the most is $0.50-$0.70 (cost price is only $0.40), and they are selling it at $7! This is super overpriced lah!

Anyway, I didnt drink alcohol for so long liaox.. so I drank the following during my 3 hr stay at The One KTV:

(1) 1 glass of Barcari Rum with Lime.
(** This is the second glass they change for me.. becos the first one they gave me is machiam like lime juice.. no rum taste at all.. I let they all try and they all agreed.. Tjow changed for me at the counter and all thanx to him, I got a new cup.. this time, its potent! They tried loh and they agreed too.. so ya..)

So ya.. we ordered for 3 hrs KTV and the medium room which can sit 6 ppl.. its a cosy environment for me lah, but the room was a bit too small and congested.. so ya.. but the package for the room is one of the most reasonable (for me only lah! Think regular KTV-ers sure koe of better lobang!).. anyway, if you interested, u can go down and take a look loh! But dun set too high expectations lah!

Oh.. we also eat quite a lot of finger food (which we regretably say we spend abt $80 on finger food.. juz seaweed chicken and teriyaki chicken wings).. seaweed chicken we eat like nobody's business.. we actually ordered 5 plates of it lah and each plate is abt 10-15 pcs and it cost $10 per plate lah! Expensive rite? I can actually go outside and buy 1 frozen pack and juz fry loh! And it dun need to cost $50 loh! But oh well..

Anyway, yesterday's KTV tab was picked up by Ryan & Tjow! So here's frm me to them.. THANK YOU! You both had made my weekend extra extra happy!

Oh.. I also sang my quota liaox lah.. becos I choose a lot of JJ Lin songs, and some other songs which were sang in competitions like Project Superstar and Campus Superstar.. sang my fill lah! We also sang some retro songs loh.. ha..

Ya.. so we ended our singing session at 0300 (becos its time up liaox.. the system auto shutdown!).. so ya.. then surprisingly, cab were plentiful lining outside Cineleisure.. so I hop into a cab and came home loh! Surprisingly, I was not really drunk becos quite a lot of alcohol I drank yesterday nite.. but when I initially started to walk, I walked sideways lah.. so ya..

Came home and bathe and by the time I sleep, its 0330.. but dun koe how come woke up 0930 this morning.. juz auto wake up like tat loh!

My parents went out to see my grandma and stuff, but I didnt followed them lah.. too lazy and tired to go out.. tml mounting duty also, so therefore, need to recuperate.. tml weekday duty leh! so ya..

So now, I'm at home in front of my computer and typing this blogpost lah! Think will do other stuff later lah!

Now my sis also went to chalet, so its me all alone at home.. which means I have the freedom of TV also! Yeh!! =)..

So sad.. no movie kakki to watch MI3 with me on Tuesday.. haix.. its either they busy or they watching another day.. haix.. see how lah.. worse come to worst, I watched the movie myself loh, since this is the one movie tat I want to watch.. however, if you read this blog and you want to join me, juz SMS me ya.. then we can plan and watch.. but pls. do so before tues.. preferbly mon lah.. so I got time to plan.. so ya.. =).. Thanx..

A Proud Moment!

Hey ppl! Good morning! U remember in my yesterday's blog I mention abt me being featured in April 2006 Pioneer issue? Yes! I've got it all scanned up (thanx to Alvin! Hey bro! U're the best!) and then edit it a bit (as in insert the red circle lah) and then save it as a .jpg file, and tata.. u have it.. a scanned picture of me loh! =)

So ya.. the face inside the circled part of the photo is me loh! (duh!).. I look quite shuai rite =P.. haha.. how thick skin can I be rite? =).. Anyway, I was so surprised when I saw my face loh!

Now this is called publicity! Any takers for a shuai guy like me? Ha.. FYI: This PIONEER Magazine is like widely circulated among the SAF members (be it NSFs or regulars!.. so you can imagine how much publicity I had!).. haha.. so any takers? =P.. I'll be waiting =).. kidding lah! =P



The above is a dilemma as to whether which contacts lens shld I buy (my supplies running low liaox).. the acuvue brand is $90 for 30 pairs (but if I wanna get the 'moist' version of it, its $110 for 30 pairs).. but if I get the Focus Daililes (with the 'moist') function, it only cost me $78. I want to try acuvue but its too expensive due to the added function of the only contact lens which has UV rays blocking function.. so ya.. I dun koe which one to buy lah.. Now at a dilemma.. any suggestions to which shld I buy? Acuvue or focus dailies? Suggestions at my Shoutbox pls! =).. Thanx in advance ah..

Ok lah.. Gonna go church later in the day, then its chilling out with Tjow and the rest in a lounge or sumthing (I hope!).. but no matter wat, I'm gonna enjoy myself tonite, becos its seldom I can like chiong or at least have a free weekend loh =).. so ya.. Will blog abt it tml if I go lah =)

Updates..

Hi all.. have not blog for quite a while.. this is becos I was either busy or not at home becos in camp performing P1.. so ya.. hope u all dun mind ya =)

Actually I have a lot to blog.. but then, you all koe me lah.. I have STM, so cant really remember every single detail lah!.. so I will try to give u all a gist of it ya..

Tuesday (02/05/06)

P1 duty on this day.. As usual, becos its not a rehearsal day, therefore we need to do duty.. However, my P1 grp was quite fortunate in a sense tat we dun need to do the usual 1100-1900 duty.. instead, our duty spans at different periods of the day.. so for me and another friend, we do duty at another gate frm 0830-1400.. Quite torturing though, becos the place there is super hot and moreover, tat place is boring lah! haix.. but wat to do..

Then after finish duty, went back to bunk and then sleep loh till dinner time.. ate dinner.. watched a bit of TV and then sleep liaox.. totally shacked out lah!

Wednesday (03/05/06)

As usual.. despite the P1 duty tat I did in the morning, still did fatigue work loh! Super sianx.. The fatigue work involves my P1 group to like fill up water barricades till its 3/4 full, and to fill up 1 barricade, it needs at least 16-20 jerry cans (22 litres of water per jerry can)!! Super sianx rite.. I was sweaty and stuff.. and moreover, very tired, so you can imagine how tired I was when doing the fatigue work..

Went home this day becos need to give laundry to mum and stuff.. Took cab back frm camp and I rushed to UOB @ Toa Payoh to run some errands.. waited abt 30 mins for my turn to be served by the counter..

Bought the famous rojak for dinner (treat my sis and my mum) and then went to Popular to shop for ballpoint pens!!

Then I went home, but the bus came super late.. so by the time I reached home, its like 1930 liaox.. Had dinner cooked by my mum and the rojak I bought loh.. Then its me without bathing, rushed back to camp (by bus!) and trying to reach my bunk before 2200, becos I wanna catch Incredible Tales 2 on Channel 5 tat nite..

On the bus, I read this mth's issue of PIONEER Magazine.. the editorial session was very apt, becos this mth's issue is talking abt Navy RPs.. so naturally, it wld talk abt RPs in general.. anyway, here is an excerpt of it which I find it very apt.. here is it..

"It's always a challenge to correct misconceptions, especially those deeply rooted ones.
The Regimental Policeman is one of those minunderstood vocations. Sure, it's not as physically challenging as other more 'glamorous' vocations, but it is nowhere as 'cushy' as some people feel.
For a start, it is a challenge to be awake, alert and all alone while the rest of the world is asleep, doing either sentry duty or 24-hour foot and mobile patrols.
And on a quiet day, things can get pretty mundane.
It doesn't help that some people have an impression that RPs either have an easy life (all they seem to do is stand next to the scanners and metal detectors and check bags and passes, then they go home), or are nasty people out to ruin your day.
Wrong. Besides acting as the first line of defence by performing the usual base security duties, they are also the first faces visitors see. They have to be friendly and yet serve as a form of deterence. It's definitely not easy to be two-faced!
Combat-fit RPs double up as base defenders, trained to protect key installations... trained to fire weapons and other operational skills - just like any other soldier...."

When I reached there, I was surprised tat another 2 fellows (who usually come later than other few guys in the bunk) actually reached bunk before them.. so its like the usually late guys are the earliest tat day! Guess all of us wanna watch Incredible Tales though..

So fortunately I reached bunk juz in time to like bathe and then watch Incredible Tales on TV..

After the show ended, went to bed and sleep loh!

Thursday (04/05/06)

Had NDP Rehearsal.. Dun koe why.. felt shacked while performing the drills/rehearsals.. no energy lah.. Zijing then suddenly came into the parade (after like a 30 min break lah!), becos he had ATP (it simply is a abbrevation for advance stage of firing in range) the day before, and his whole Tengnah platoon did not like attend the earlier part of the rehearsal too, becos the day before they had range too mah.. and the first thing I asked Zijing whether he got Marksmanship.. and to my surprise, he said "yes"..

Initially, I was a little sad/jealous lah, becos its like his No. 1 uniform got 1 more thing more than me loh! haix.. but wat to do? Ppl better than me mah.. haix.. nothing to be sad abt lah! Guess ppl differs in different ways though! =)

Then went back to camp, only to know tat Yizhou and me was to replace 2 persons for P1 duty again, due to the shortage of ppl.. my sgt gave us a very good deal abt our P1 choice (very lazy to elaborate! if you want to koe, msg me or sumthing ok..).. so ya.. so its Yizhou and me performing duty after the rehearsal from 1500-1900. After the duty ended, I was super shacked liaox..

Went back to bunk.. bathe and then watched a bit of TV.. then I got like so tired tat I lie on my friend's bed which he bk out liaox.. and becos the fan was directly blowing at me and moreover I was shacked, therefore, whilst watching TV, I fell asleep! Even my friend tried to wake me up (becos he want to sleep liaox.. so he wanted to off the light and the TV).. but he said he called me up but I didnt answer! Even when he nudged me, I didnt wake up.. so he off the lights and TV.. immediately after he do so, I woke up and asked him why he did it and he told me the reason.. Then I told him I didnt want to sleep yet, becos my clothing was drying in the dryer and I need the clothing the nxt day (ie, fri - 5/6).. so ya.. at 2200 sharp, I went to the dryer and took out my clothing frm the dryer and then put my RP band and stuff (get ready for the nxt day P1 duty mah!), and by 2110, I was on my bed and get ready to sleep.. I slept at an instance once on the bed lah!

Friday (05/05/06)

But at 0235, Yizhou (my bunk mate) was sleep talking.. he was like sighing in his sleep lah! and then also.. another bunk mate (frm the shift tat mount duty the nxt day) also came back and sleep.. and I thought who sia.. almost gave me a fright! so ya.. Anyway, to solve the mosquitoe issue, I cover my whole body with the blanket..

At 0415, I woke up again.. this time, I broke up in sweat and therefore I took out the blanket and sleep loh!

At 0545, woke up and wash up and stuff and get ready to leave bunk for guardroom (for P1 duty)..

Then did duty frm 0700-0800.. came back to bunk.. had brunch or shld I say early lunch at canteen.. then sleep until 1 of my shift mates gave me a paper (which I requested) which states the various schedules for my shift lah! Then frm there, I went down to S1 office and photocopy and distribute to the rest of the shift.. muz photocopy for them, so they wont bug the sgt lah! and moreover, can help save conflicts loh =)

After distributing, I tried to go back to sleep, but cant loh! Haix.. so didnt sleep until someone came in and told us tat we have admin fatigue work (for our FDS Roadshow in base at the end of May) to do.. so as usual, we went down to the I-Net room and do the necessary stuff.. and becos my sgt say I was hardworking, therefore, he asked me to help him to summarise and do some copy and pasting work into Wordpad loh!.. Wordpad sux I tell you! I prefer Microsoft Word loh.. but the worst thing is tat there is no Microsoft Word installed in the I-Net room computers loh! So guess I have to make do.. so ya.. so the helpful me actually help my sgt to do lah (see.. I so good!.. hahax..).. help him for abt an hour.. and I tell you.. I was freezing inside.. the air con is super cold lah! Dun koe why they need to make the air con so cold for wat.. scared computer explode? I dun koe.. maybe..

Then after finish it, I went up to bathe and got ready to bk out.. but last min, got somemore fatigue work.. but this time, my sgt called the P1 to do it lah.. so ya.. so I got to bk out instead of doing the fatigue work =)

Went to have my hair cut for CO Parade on wednesday before I come back home loh.. had fellowship meal at cell rather than study.. then blogging now on computer lah! Not bad huh.. I've got a lot to do tonite on the computer =).. so ya..

Oh.. the carpark lots opposite my house are so full! Think its becos of the election rally near my hse! Tml is Polling Day leh.. wonder whether PAP will win? Hmm.. but I dun need to vote loh! Yeh! My place here is walkover.. FYI: My place here under Marine Parade GRC! But actually, it wld be interesting if I need to vote, becos I never done one before.. becos I juz turned 21 last yr mah.. but oh well.. =)

1 more thing b4 I go! Finally.. I this week can get my long deserved long weekend! I get my sat and sun finally!! So I'm gonna enjoy myself this wkend loh! =)..
