IPT Completed!!

Well ppl.. I have successfully completed my IPT.. very shiok lah.. No more big bags to office.. no more leaving early from work.. no more spending more money on transport! =) Yeh!!

Yesterday was my last phase of my IPT programme, which is my Annual IPPT Test.. this test is like whether you fail or pass, also doesn't matter, becos I have been attending this IPT programme for 7 sessions (each session lasting 3 hrs!).. And the results of my IPPT is that.. I FAILED! haha.. so happy rite? Yah.. I'm happy becos NO RT mahx.. I don't care about the money.. I just want my freedom! =).. But though I've failed, but my timings for my IPPT (before and after IPT) were totally different! All (except Shuttle Run.. sad).. showed an improvments in timings.. Here is the breakdown:

BEFORE IPT:

Sit Up: 41 (5 pts)
Standing Broad Jump: 198 cm (0 pts)
Chin-Ups: 0 (0 pts)
Shuttle Run: 10.7 sec (2 pts)
2.4km: 14.50 mins (0 pts)

AFTER IPT:

Sit Up: 41 (5 pts)
Standing Broad Jump: 207 cm (1 pts)
Chin-Ups: 2 (0 pts)
Shuttle Run: 10.8 sec (1 pts)
2.4km: 13.29 mins (0 pts)

So you see.. IPT helps.. hahax =).. Though fail, but I'm happy that I've made an improvement! =) So thank God for it.. =)

My 2.4km almost killed me.. After my first round, I was like "die.. I can't breathe..".. but I've realised that my mind is at work.. so I've been telling myself to go on.. so ya..
My motivation factor to run finish was actually the Four Seasons durian pancake at AMK Hub.. I actually treated myself & my family to the Four Seasons durian pancake.. It was yummy lah! =)

Anyway, though this IPT has stopped, but I will still do some physical activities on my own.. On Saturdays/Sundays, I will continue my weekly joy around my neighbourhood.. as well as join my company colleagues in Badminton sessions on Wednesday nites =).. so ya.. That would be my keep fit regime lah =).. But wonder how long will I keep this regime? I don't know.. but we'll see how! =)

Ok lah.. just bathe and thought of whilst waiting for my hair to dry, I blogged this blogpost.. so ya.. going to sleep now.. and yeh! Tommorow holiday! =)

Meeting up with old friends...

Well.. its indeed great to meet up old friends, esp. the ones that you click well with.. and today, was no exception..

Had dinner together and many laughs as well.. So ya.. the old times (being in NS that is) certainly bring back lotsa memories and laughs..

We had dinner at Pearl River Palace (under my great recommendation of course), and then we went over to the Esplanade beach to enjoy the sea breeze as well as just chat.. and of course, some photo-taking to capture the memory! =).. so that explains why there were photos lah! *duh*

In fact, 3 of us are already in the talks of organising a trip overseas already sometime this year.. Nothing has been confirmed! Just talk only.. but who koes.. it maybe a reality in time soon =).. so I'm awaiting anxiously lah!
The last time we were overseas together was in September 2006, whereas we went to KL for our pre-ORD trip overseas.. it was fun lah! =)

Anyway, after the whole nite of food, fun and laughs, we went on our separate ways and then now back to briefly blog about this post, before I turn in for the nite.. super tired.. tml need to work.. haix.. =(

An eventful Saturday!

Today was ok.. Saturday is like always a sleep-in day for me.. Have been working very hard over the past 2 days.. so Saturday sleeping in is just perfect.. However, though I always have a tendency to like sleep late on Fridays (abt 0100 hrs - 0200 hrs), I would always wake up like at about 0800 hrs - 0900 hrs.

You then may wonder why do I always sleep so late on Fridays.. becos this is after my cell group at church mah.. and it always like end at about 2200 hrs.. so by the time I get home, and all thanks to the stupid roadworks always at the Boon Keng/Potong Pasir area (and they ALWAYS do it on Friday or Saturday nites where there are the most cars!), I always reach home at about 2315 hrs to 2330 hrs!... so by the time I settle down, bathe and let my hair dry before sleeping, its always about 0100 hrs.. so tats why..

Today after church, went to Marina Square foodcourt (with some of the youths).. had my usual.. Curry mee, popiah, BBQ tau pok and my yam paste. =).. of course, I didn't eat all.. my main dish was the curry mee and yam paste.. the rest were all shared =)

Was taking the MRT train with Christina.. and then we walked via CityLink to Marina Square.. and then as I was walking, I saw this guy which was like super familiar.. he looks like one of my bunkmates during BMT, and he was actually looking at me.. so I was like walk away and then take a second look.. then suddenly both of us recognised each other and then we move aside to talk.. and that actually took us like 10-15 mins.. hahax.. we have not met each other for like about 3 yrs already.. so naturally a lot to catch up.. oh.. btw, his name is called Dennis.. so ya.. it was indeed great catching up.. =)

Then after which, Christina & I decided to go home, and I actually hinted to her that I wanted to go drink coffee, becos the crowd was like super crowded.. so we proceeded to Starbucks for my weekly cuppa.. ha.. it was good.. I had the Caramel Frap with an extra shot of expresso! =)..

Then it was time for us to go home.. Sat on bus to go home from Suntec.. was chatting very happily with Christina.. and then this incident (photo on left) had to happen!

This whole matter happened becos apparently 2 fellows were like jaywalking very near to the curb and the bus almost hit onto them.. so the bus driver horn.. then the 2 fellows were not happy.. kept hitting the bus door, and then this bus driver so stupid.. go near him and then stop, then from there, they quarrel.. Vulgarities flew of course!

Then this bus driver got so worked up, he actually challenged them to fight, and then this bus driver fought with the 2 fellows.. this bus driver even pushed both of them down, and one of them even got a cut on his face, and was bleeding..

Then of course, passengers came to mediate the session, and the other passengers, just sit there and look, and then discuss among themselves this and that.. ppl were complaining as well..

This whole thing took place for about 15 mins before the police arrived (becos one of the passengers called the police to mediate the situation).. then you start seeing passengers just board off the bus and they didnt even tap their ez-link card.. Of course, I didnt tap as well..

Just then, another bus appeared, and Christina and I took the bus home lah.. haix.. waste my time lah.. no jam but this stupid incident.. Christina and I assessed and discussed the situation that the bus driver is so stupid lah.. he could have just driven off, instead of pursing the matter.. haix.. so you see.. now tio police case liaox.. this bus driver may as well be charged in court or lose his job lahx..

By the way, I took the picture whilst I was waiting in the bus and nothing to do.. ha.. =)

Freaking weird!

Today's work was ok.. got to know a new colleague (who was actually away on business trip when I just joined my new company)..

Man.. the world is definately so small.. Afternoon, I was like sending out emails to suppliers to source for a certain item.. and of all suppliers, this suppliers has added me in MSN.. and this supplier is NOT a local.. Very scary..

I tot who the person was initially.. After talking, the person then told me that she is the supplier whom she has sent back a reply email to me.. my goodness.. now, I would think she would have known that I got a blog, becos she apparently googled my name, and then my blog must have appeared.. very scary sia! I've got like someone stalking me.. oh man.. God, pls help!!!

The week so far..

Well.. I must say that I have learnt a LOT of new things so far.. I'm only 1 week old in the company, and I have like learnt a trillion stuff liaox (ok.. I'm exaggerating!)..

Ok.. just an update.. my weekend was ok.. Saturday church was ok.. after church, went to eat at Food Republic, Suntec.. man.. it was so bad! If you think Vivocity is bad enough, Suntec is WORST! not worth the money! If you really have to eat Food Republic, go to the one at Wisma! The food there is much much better and nicer! =)

Sunday was practically going to church for church camp mtg, then meet my aunties, uncles and cousins for dinner.. Had zhi-char.. nothing fanciful.. but had a good time having each other's company! =)
Before the dinner, my aunties and 2 of my cousins (melodi & natalie) went with my family and accompany me to go to G2000 to buy somemore office wear.. Wanted to use up the 20% discount coupon that I still have (and its expiring like end April).. so ya.. I must say the clothings I bought was nice =).. but the damage was $168 (AFTER 20% discount of course!) =(
Before the shopping at G2000, I was shopping with my dad for a Crumpler bag.. apparently, my working bag like cannot make it, becos it can't withstand heavy stuff (which I always tend to have), so tot of getting another bag.. but then there is no suitable size that I want.. so ya.. gave up the idea.. but at the same time, whilst I was shopping, I actually saw one of my previous company intern (who is also now my good friend), Seng Guan.. so ya.. waved "hi" to him only, becos its like I was on the phone.. so ya.. and he was outside.. we both had a second look at each other to confirm that it's the person we are looking for.. haha.. So ya.. we are going to meet up soon again.. so ya.. =).. so happy!

Then today, I tell you.. I practically became the BREAD man! I had bread for ALL 3 meals today.. here is my menu for the day:

Breakfast:Sausage with pork floss bread (1 pc)

Lunch: 1 pc of Chicken + bacon club sandwich (on wholemeal bread) + a small Americano (had lunch MYSELF at Spinelli Cafe - located just downstairs my office!)

Dinner: 1 pc Black Pepper Bo Lo Bun (from Crystal Jade Bakery) + 1 pc Pork Floss Bun (from Crystal Jade Bakery) + 1 Carman museli bar..

Actually ah.. I don't eat dinner also can one, becos I was still so full during dinner time (due to my sandwich in the afternoon!).. The sandwich you should have seen it.. super big.. wholemeal bread somemore!.. My lunch was like at 1310 hrs, and my dinner was like at 1715 hrs.. and you see.. usually 2 hrs later I would be hungry.. but not for the case for today.. My goodness!! I can't believe I ate so much bread today!
The reason why I ate my lunch so late is becos I had a system training session at Main Office, and they finished like close to 1300 hrs.. My boss went for lunch already, so no kakki.. Hence, I ate alone loh.. A bit boring but oh well.. I still survived!

After lunch, I went to Cold Storage (another floor downstairs) to get some grocery stuff for my personal "pantry". Apparently, all the stuff at the pantry is like I so paiseh to eat or not nice.. so ya.. rather buy myself some stuff =)
Just as I was able to go down to the escalator, someone called me and guess who I saw! I saw one of my mission trip mates and we have not met since the mission trip ended (and that was in 2004!).. and surprisingly, he still can remember my name! My goodness.. Had a brief chat and oh ya.. his name is Jason (so you see.. I also remember =P)

Then went back to Science Park after that (brought back a whole lot of stuff becos my boss not going back to Science Park, as she has to attend mtgs the whole day!).. so ya..

Got my business cards as well (2 boxes to be precise!).. haha.. I wonder when I would use it.. hmm..

Then its work at Science Park immediately (becos my boss gave me some task to complete before I can leave office for my IPT session).. and becos of this work, I actually was almost late, and had to take a cab to complete the last part of the journey, becos I missed the bus.. haix.. =(.. but still managed to be on time lah..

Ok lah.. gtg and sleep liaox.. very tired!.. waking up 6 hrs later.. haix..

My paintball experience!

Fwah! I tell you.. I have never seen in my whole working life, actually seeing ppl (and I do mean upper and middle management) play until like crazy! It was great fun I tell you!

Well.. what do you expect when I can't really shoot! I admit that when I first got the marker (ie, the paintball gun.. they call it a marker), I was quite scared till the point actually I shivered.. but after a while, it was okay! =)

Saw how funny my boss was yesterday (she actually didnt really brought another change of clothing, and someone actually got to lent her a disposable poncho!)..

It was indeed great fun.. though I never shot anything (I tried to but miss!), but I had so much fun.. shooting from the marker is definately easier than what I shot during NS... hahax.. duh!..

Anyway, I got splattered at, becos my team-mate kenna shot and I happened to be beside her, so the impact of the paint, actually dropped onto my head as well.. hahax.. the paint smell quite sweet actually.. hahax.. machiam like lemon oil like that! But its water-soluble, so washing it off is easy lah! =)

After the whole thing, a few of us went to nearby coffeeshop to have dinner.. Got to know better a few colleagues (from Main Office though) and had a great time too! =).

So looks like in the whole company (both Main Office & my lab), I think I'm the youngest!.. Apparently all of them were shocked at how young I was! Ha.. so I guess they have to call me "xiao di di" from now on! Hahax.. =P

I really had a great time (not only fun but also BONDING!!).. Indeed, its really a great bonding affair! =)

Terms & more terms!

My goodness.. today is more terms and I'm afraid that I can't meet deadlines and all.. The deadlines are drawing nearer each day and I have not really started! My goodness..

Now, its like I have not even done anything yet.. and today, my boss gave me an orientation of the machines in the lab and its like so sophisticated! Everything I dun koe man.. I just wonder how I'm going to do the product without me knowing anything.. oh man..
But Cheong was so cool.. he actually emailed and ask me how I'm coping and all.. so seeing his email was definately a surprise and an encouragement to me =)

But wat's cool is that I got my own computer and cubicle at my office.. My cubicle even got my name on it already.. super cool lah =)
Oh.. I also know my email address in the company liaox.. and guess wat! I'm abbreviated as well (I have been reduced to AGCB)! hahax.. And apparently, I just type AGCB in the email, and immediately, the computer would then auto-generate my name..

Ok.. gtg liaox.. have to go and work a little more (gulp!) and then turn in for the day.. I'm feeling very drained already.. almost restless.. haix..

My first day @ work!

Ok.. a lot of ppl have been asking how is my first day of work.. so here goes.. a short one though, becos I'm super tired now..

My day started like at 0730 hrs where I left house for work.. The NEL train was super packed (now I koe what is "office crowd").. hahax..

Reached office.. spend like 10 mins in the toilet putting my tie on as well as buttoning my shirt and all.. then went up to office..

Had a 3 hour induction to follow (of course, go round the whole office to meet ppl!.. and of course, met my ex-colleague which is also my good friend, Cheong!.. and the HR was like quite surprised how we knew each other!.. hahax..) and then I was "handed over" to my boss..

And soon, it was time for lunch.. My boss gave me a welcome treat at Sushi Tei.. so ya.. really appreciate that lunch..

After which, everything seems to be like a bombshell just drop on me.. I was actually tasked my first project, and all I can say is that this project of mine is very challenging, becos having no prior background, I have to learnt everything from scratch.

This project will SOLELY be managed by me, and I'm in charge of it (had my FIRST meeting today already!).. and becos of this, I reckon that soon (not too sure how long, but estimated to be in abt 6 mths time.. maybe more or less) I may have to travel to a country but for what, I can't say due to confidentiality issues.. but it would probably be quicker than I thought!
And during the meeting, it was terms, terms and more terms! I have absolutely NO idea what they are talking.. they machiam like talking french!.. but I'm willing to learn, and guess I got a LOT of stuff to catch up on! =)

And my company has a very common practice.. EVERYTHING is abbreviated.. even to the extent of names of personnel (shown on the contact list), dept names and product names!

Oh.. This Thursday (17/4), I'm going for a Paintball activity organised by my company.. its like a work-life balance event and moreover, by attending, company donates a certain sum of money to their adopted charity.. So ya.. why not? Enjoy myself and at the same time, doing something charitable! =)

Then left office for my IPT session.. Today IPT session was quite shiong, becos I ran 4km and do 3 sets of my 50% of my max chin-ups!.. so now, everywhere ache..

Ok lah.. I gtg and sleep liaox.. Too tired.. tml morning need to go down to main office again, before proceeding to Science Park.. haix.. The office crowd again =(

Baptism Service was cool!

Ok.. today's baptism is way too cool!

Though it was hymns all the way, but the drummer for the service was way way too cool! He actually can make a hymn sound so different (by the playing of the drums).. man.. he is good..

Anyway, being very sociable me, I have actually his contacts liaox.. so I guess soon, I will be contacting him [in fact, I have been SMS-ing him.. and maybe will invite him to OCC someday to teach or sumthing =)..]

Oh.. btw, his name is Jonathan, and he is a son of the pastor of the chinese congregation in my main church..

He has big dreams.. He is actually also from Temasek Polytechnic (which is my poly as well) and I asked him whether he plans to further his course @ Temasek Polytechnic, and he said not really.. he plans to pursue a degree in Theology. so ya.. big dreams for this guy.. makes me feel ashamed.. but I guess different ppl have different passions, and probably this is not my calling.. my calling is in the food business.. hahax.. oh well..

God spoke to me..

Well yes.. During cell yesterday, we were discussing on the topic, "Created to fellowship with God".. and thank God, He spoke to me..

Whilst Tjow was praying, the song, "As the Deer" came to mind, and I don't know why that the song suddenly make a lot of sense to me yesterday..

Anyway, after cell, the tot just didn't fade away.. I actually felt the prompting by my Spirit to like msg Tjow & PK abt it.. I at first tot it was an emotion on my part, but the feeling just got stronger and stronger, and I decided to obey, by SMS-ing them about the lyrics of the song, and the reason for the SMS.. so ya..

After SMS-ing them, I felt so much better and at peace. Until now, I don't know why this happened to me.. so ya.. anyway, here are the lyrics of the song. Hope you would be blessed as well =)

Recee trip no. 2

Yes ppl.. I spend more time on public transport (and more money too!).. haix..

Did a recee of my second route to office @ Singapore Science Park and thereafter, trying to time my journey taken to Khatib Camp (for my IPT mahx)..

There was supposed to be an off-peak shuttle bus from Harbourfront MRT for me to take to Singapore Science Park.. but guess wat! It was supposed to come in 30 mins block, but I waited like for 45 mins and there was NOT a shuttle bus in sight! I got fed up, so what I did was I took SBS instead (becos yesterday, I was surfing the net, and I managed to chance upon an article regarding my new office.. so ya..).. and ya.. Thanks God.. I was able to reach there in abt the same time, and I was shocked at how many SBS buses can reached my workplace.. it just requires only abt 5 mins of walking.. so ya..

Oh.. my future boss has just emailed me saying that there is a project waiting for me already.. and of course, just being courteous, I replied, "Sure. bring it on! I'm game for it anytime =)".. sounds confident? I must mah.. or else, they may think I'm so so only.. must show I'm enthusiastic abt my job, and frankly speaking, I'm really looking forward for my first project =).. I just like that sense of satisfaction when a product is out selling in the market.. so ya.. that I would think is the best thing that could happen to me when im in my new job!

Other than that, nothing really much happened! Ok.. gtg and bathe, and then go church for cell =)

Recee.. Presents.. Grocery Shopping!!

Ok ppl.. had like a super long day today.. not that I was studying or sumthing.. but its just that I had travelled on public transport for like almost half a day!

Of course me being very precise in not being late for my future job, and since I'm free, I would then do a recee trip down to my new workplace to see see look look.. but what I didn't know that it would take me like almost 2 hours to reach my working place.. but thank God that this was only one of the two transport routes that I would be taking..

Tml I would be going another route (which would more or less be my confirmed route).. so you see.. People may then ask me, "since go today, why go tml again? Bus fare free is it?". ha.. you are all wrong to think like that.. becos what happens is that tml I would be recee-ing my new route, as well as my route and timing from my new workplace to Khatib Camp (becos I need to attend IPT sessions from work next week..)

Which reminds me I have not settled for what should I wear for my first day of work this coming Monday (14/4).. ha.. Man.. the tie, long sleeve shirt, leather shoes, business pants.. can't imagine myself wearing all that!

Guess tomorrow would be another long day again..

Ok.. I really must thank Tjow for giving me this birthday present.. becos the other time at sermon, Ps. David Leong has challenged me to write a song for Church Camp 2008. I was like hmm.. I actually wanted to try to attempt that..

Then I was praying to God that if its really His Will, then give me ideas/tunes for me to start with.. and just last Sat (5/4), I really didn't expect that God actually answered my prayer.. He send Tjow to give me this DVD.. well.. bro.. thanks ya.. Wonder whether its coincidence or God's intervention? hmm.. but ya.. Thanks bro! =)

Then after my workplace recee-ing (which is actually quite a torture! Long journey leh!!), went down to Church office to like meet Tjow, Jaslyn & Nicholas to go down for a short recee trip @ MOE Dairy Farm Adventure Centre..

Ha.. it was quite ulu actually! I think that we need to charter a bus for the youths to get there, becos its not at all accessible!

And the route to the adventure centre, machiam like going to a SAF live firing range (as in the words of Tjow).. hahax..
Not only the location of the place reminds me of going for a live firing range session, the dormitories, layout and feel of the area is also exactly like an army camp (particularly Pasir Laba camp!).. hahax.. Well.. the youths are so gonna be "into" the army lifestyle once we set into the campsite! =)

After the recee, all 4 of us went to Bukit Timah Plaza to eat our lunch, and Tjow brought us to eat some Nonya food from this stall at Basement 1 (it doesn't look very impressive actually.. I tot it would all be just so so food only! But I was wrong !!).. The shop name is called "Nonya Deli".. Apparently, this is not exactly a stall or sumthing.. its is actually a kiosk, so there is no like proper seats and all..

Had a mee siam and mee rebus.. both nicholas and I shared the food together.. But I had most of the mee siam and nicholas had the mee rebus.. but my verdict is that the mee siam was the best! I had a second helping of the mee rebus (ie, order another bowl lah!), but it was not as good as the mee siam!

The mee siam was fantastic! Truly authentic! It is almost exactly like my grandma's and mum's recipe! Love it to the max.. My only complaint is that it is NOT sour enough! but other than that, it is fantastic! There is a whole egg and 2 prawns to compliment the dish, which actually adds up to a total of $3.80 per bowl.. but its worth EVERY cent!
Best thing is that there is NOT much MSG, becos I didn't felt thirsty after eating.. so ya.. =).. the mee siam was totally delicious! =) Saying of which, I'm craving for some rite now! =)

After that, what happened was Tjow actually wanted to go to "Fairprice Finest" to get something, but in the end, its me who got the most things.. hahax.. spend $52.15 in there lahx.. hahax.. but dun worry.. I did not spend all the $52.15.. I only spend like $12.65..

You see the photo on the left right? This is the muesli bar that my church friend, Carlise, loves and she buys 8 boxes of those at one time (so you say good or not lah ?!?)..
Today, it managed to catch my attention whilst I was browsing the shelves, and to my surprise, it was on offer.. If I still remember the offer tag correctly, its like today was the last day of offer and they are selling it at $3.95 per box, instead of the normal $5.05 per box.. so ya..
I called Carlise and asked her whether she want some (since I knew that she was an avid fan of this muesli bar).. so she said, "yes", and she asked me to get for her 8 boxes.. =)

Taking chance at the offer, I also got myself one box and got my mum 2 boxes..

Then becos I'm doing my IPT programme these few times as well as also doing my weekly jogs, I'm now starting to take isotonic drinks to replenish my lost minerals during running.. hence, I've sourced out all the isotonic drinks, and decide that the best was Pocari Sweat (had this during my NS days as well! - See picture above!).. so I had decided to buy 2 cartons (since I'll be using it quite often!).. thank goodness, they were on offer.. a carton of 6 cans only costs $4.35.. its cheap lah.. outside, 1 can is about $0.80 - $0.90.. so ya..

Then after which, Tjow sent me over to Orchard to take a bus home (thanks bro!!).. my stuff super heavy lah..

Then had my dinner, watched TV and now on this blogpost loh..

That practically ends my day.. and I actually felt sleepy already.. oh man.. I'm tired..

An emotional goodbye..

Well.. sorry ppl for not blogging over the weekends.. I was totally busy.. hardly could have time to breathe..

Anyway, I got my dream phone (the Sony Ericsson W890i of course!) over the weekend, and it cost me $298 instead of the expected $398.. long story of why I got the discount, but let's just say that M1 had a special plan promotion and I agreed to it.. so ya..

Felt so happy lah.. its so slim.. and it doubles as a mp3 player for me.. =).. Mocha brown is the nicest between all the 3 colours lah.. the black looks good, but then becos its like metallic colour, not very nice.. so I decided for Mocha Brown! =)

Then came Monday (7/4) where it was my last day @ MDI.. The day went on just fine, until where it was time for me to say my last goodbyes..
(During the morning, I had sent a "goodbye" email to all the ppl that I know in office).

I tell you.. the last person whom I've gave the last handshake at Production floor, was my buddy operator.. he was the last one whom I've shake hands with.. and apparently, he was also the longest that I've shaked my hands with.. I can see that he is trying his best to hold back his tears, and he successfully did.. I told him that he must be strong.. becos its not as if I'm not in Singapore.. its just that I'm going elsewhere to work.. Having dinner with him is not a problem (as long as he don't go back to China!).. At that time he was still trying his best to hold his tears! I on the other hand, did not really felt teary and all, becos I was well-prepared!! =)
Then today (Tues - 8/4), I actually SMSed him whether he did tear after I left.. and he admitted to it.. so ya..
It was really an emotional goodbye!

Today (8/4), I've spent the whole day doing up my church camp publicity videos.. and I'm proud to say that I've finished it! =).. but I still got tons to achieve during this week (before I start working in my new company!).. here is a lowdown:

(a) Re-study my poly stuff for my new job (the reason being why I need to re-study, is becos it won't be nice to like go there and just expect to be spoon-fed!)

(b) Recee my Youth Camp 2008 venue @ Dairy Farm Adventure Centre (happening on Thurs - 10/4)

(c) Recee my transport routes and estimated timing for my new company (plan it to be on Fri - 11/4)

So you see.. I got so much to achieve.. so many things but so little time! 24 hrs don't seemed to be enough! =).. haix.. how I wish life could just be a computer game.. got time extension and all.. hahax.. =P..

Ok lah.. enough of my crapping.. got to run..

Thursday (3/4)

This is the day where I practiced my "taiji" skills.. ha.. not those qigong kind and all, but its like passing my knowledge to my boss, whom he will pass it to my future successor..

Currently, he is still in the midst of interviewing, hence, I simply do not have the chance to teach.. so what I teach is confirm correct, but whether my boss teach the correct thing to my successor is another matter.. hahax.. so all the best! =)

But then still, he hinted with me the same comment.. "aiya.. everytime you say to me like that, I heart-ache".. I just smiled, and then I carry on..

Then don't know what made him said that my big boss actually commented to him before that I was a very detailed and thorough guy.. everything also do very detailed.. so if my boss could get a replacement (referring to my successor of course!) just like me, it would be good.
Of course, upon hearing that, I felt good.. but after thinking it through, it may seemed that he may be saying it himself and don't really meant it !!.. but who am I to doubt anyway! haix..
I was then thinking to myself, if really they think so highly of me, why would they wait until now to like until I want to quit and then say promotion or good comments of me? I don't know lah.. but all I know is that I'm done with MDI and its time for me to move on!

Friday (4/4)

Ok.. today at work was ok.. the interesting part came when I picked up and opened my M1 bill today after I came home from work!

I was actually shocked to see that they are actually giving me a plan of 100 mins free instead of the 300 mins which I've requested earlier last mth!.. so naturally, the subscription plan is lower cost, which really made me wonder why this mth I only pay $24+ instead of my expected $80 to $90+ due to my new plans being pro-rated and all, and discounted the next mth!
So I called up M1 Customer Service and they told me that it was their mistake.. so they are gonna change for me.. then I asked them what abt my extra calls and all (becos 100 mins outgoing for me is quite little, and I'm afraid that I have chalked up the 100 mins already!), would they be able to waive off for me? They actually said no, but they gave me an alternative! They are actually giving me a waiver of my caller-id subcription for 9 mths which actually gives me a savings of $45! so ya.. at least better than nothing rite =).. so after which, I actually asked for the staff name, so just in case I got charged, I can state this person's name and he would solve for me =)

Then after which, went to church for cell.. whilst coming home, Alex (my bro @ office) called me and just chatted with me.. Haiyoh.. we chatted machiam we would not see each other for long, and its true wat.. We both actually develop brotherhood friendships already, so to just leave it all like that, its a bit hard.. so that also explains why my nick in MSN is "Goodbyes are hard.."

Well.. I'm starting to feel emotional already.. I tot I would not feel this way.. but I do already.. not for my company, but its more for genuine friendships (be it production floor or office).. haix.. just hope my last day, I don't cry lah =(

It's been a long time!

Yes ppl.. its been a long time since I've blogged! Look at all the dust that has covered my blog already.. hahax =P

Anyway, here's what up and coming during the weekend! =)

Saturday (29/3):

Went to church.. Worship lead as usual.. the normal stuff.. The speaker for the service was Loke Chi Shyan (my main church Youth pastor).. I've seen him when I was just a little kid, so that's why I called him Uncle Chi Shyan.. After the service, I then told him why I called him that.. ha.. and then he remembered.. hahax.. =)

After church, Ryan, Cat, Tjow and family, Christina and myself went over to Pearl River Palace to celebrate Tjow's bithday, but sadly, the food was not up to standard on that day.. due to I think a wedding and a lot of patrons! And as usual, being the usual Tjow, he complained.. hahax.. felt so embarassed.. hahax.. =)

Then after which, went to Starbucks to chill..

After which, came home and then slept like at 12 midnight, though I didn't drink coffee..

Sunday (30/3):

Early in the morning, woke up and then meet Nicholas & Christina @ AMK Hub interchange to go together to Josh's hse for Church Camp meeting.. and its near my IPT place as well as my NS camp.. super sianx lah.. imagine in abt a week's time, i have to go to that place again for IPT.. sianx.. =(

Meeting was ok.. was in charge of publicity this year again for Church Camp 2008.. so ya..

After the meeting ended, my dad (who also went for the meeting), Christina & I went to meet my mum @ AMK Hub.. and whilst waiting for her, I actually queued up at the Four Seasons stall to prepare for a durian fiesta.. I bought the following:

(i) 6 durian Pancakes @ $1.50 each
(ii) 4 durian mochis @ $3.50
(iii) 1 durian milkshake @ $3.00
(iv) 1 durian crepe @ $2.80

My verdict? It was fabu-licious!! Really had a great time sharing the above stuff with my family.. the durian flesh was like bitter ones lah.. super nice =)
The durian crepe is good, but not as good and value for money as Angie-The-Choice.. but the best durian crepe has got to be the one from Goodwood Park Hotel =).. they were really yummy lah =)

Monday (1/4):

Work loh.. Monday blues as usual..

Then came home to e-file my income tax.. It was really easy and fast! Did it for my dad as well.. my parents were really impressed to see how e-filing is so so easy, compared to the traditional method! =)

However, I did a mistake and actually email the IRAS ppl abt it.. but after surfing for more, I realised that I can re-e-file again.. so did just that..

In the end, I still sleep at like 12 midnight.. haix..

Tuesday (2/4):

Today at work was ok.. Production not much problems.. but then a funny thing happened..

My boss actually suggested to me that I should work one or a few more days after 7/4/08, as he still have not found the right person yet.. I rejected the offer, becos I need the 1 week break not only to settle my church camp publicity stuff, but also to re-study some of my poly knowledge.. I won't want to go to my new office to appear as a blur boy who don't know anything.. so ya.. wanna be fully prepared! =)

Then today during lunch, my poly classmate's boyfriend, Alvin, (they broke up already, but this guy and me still keep in contact! You may ask how I get to know him? This is becos last time during my clique's chalets/gatherings, she would always bring this guy along.. so that's how we know each other lah!) actually SMS me and ask me to go out with him for dinner or sumthing becos I start work on his birthday.. ha.. then I answered him tat my birthday was like 2 wks ago.. so he paiseh, and said that we treat each other.. but date not firmed up yet.. still waiting his reply.. hahax.. =)

Came home after working some overtime.. and then ate dinner.. bathe and now on this blogpost lah.. =)

Ok lah.. gtg and sleep liaox.. have not had a good sleep the past few days.. very tired liaox.. gd night world! =)
