*bang* *bang* u die!!

Well.. u all may wonder y the weird title!! its actually like a phrase which the instructors always say when they can't shoot a blank bullet becos' its too near, etc.. but then, its nothing concern this blogpost.. its juz some interesting title which i think of!!

anyway, from tml to wed, we are going to Tekong to dig, dig, dig (x1000000)trenches and shellscrapes for 3D2N (which we can't sleep for the whole duration).. moreover, we are route-marching 5km to the campsite then we start digging.. imagine how tired we will be.. Moreover, I'm the section commander for the section, so lots of resposiblities..

so wat u can pray for me is the following:

(1) covering and protection against the evil one (apparently, there are some unclean spirits there).

(2) strength and perserverance to continue digging and do the other essential stuff regarding to the exercise.

(3) have a sound mind to control watever i think its correct (for eg, NOT to misfire, etc..)<-- this is prayed as extreme exhausation wld cause you to like brain dead or sumthing..

after the exercise at Tekong, going to POP (pass out)..which means have to do duty and wkends may be burned.. so ya.. dun be sad ya.. but anyway, passing out is like a big thing.. so ya.. shld be happy..

but the best is coming back on Friday nite this week again (becos' after POP mah..).. but dun koe when bk in.. haiz..

Foodie critic time!!

anyway, today for lunch, went to Thai Express at Paragon.. ate the chiangmai style mango salad ($5.90)(mango salad with toasted coconut flakes and minced chicken) and pineapple rice ($7.90)..
The mango salad was not very nice as the coconut taste is quite strong.. but wanted to try sumthing different mah.. the pineapple rice was quite good becos' the prawns is really fresh, juicy and big!! yum yum!!

tried a bit of the Tom Yum Soup (clear chicken broth with Tom Yum taste but NO red chilli paste in soup!! they use chilli padi!).. not a bad soup after all.. still has the taste of tom yum.. sour and hot.. but then, the one at Lemongrass Restaurant is better.. nothing beats Lemongrass restaurant!!
*i see already some ppl drooling, esp. ppl like Marcus, 3notes and sarah*

well.. did i also mention tat this meal was free?? ha.. yes!! the tab was picked up by one of our church members!! cool huh.. =)

anyway, FYI.. i bk out friday last week.. dun koe y.. probably give us enuf time to rest for our exercise tml..

ok.. gtg and bathe and later going back to camp.. haiz..

so i shall blog again when i POP and shall tell u al abt the digging exercise (which we call it Exercise Earthworm.. not u koe y huh.. suggestive name for an exercise isn't it!.. ha..)

What a week!

Man.. a week sure zoom past quickly.. here am i getting ready to bk in but b4 that, its the usual blogging..

anyway, wat happen last fri-sat was FIBUA (Fighting In Build Up Areas) fighting.. it was fun lah.. except tat it was hot.. but one thing good is tat i did NOT get mosquito bites for the first time in my whole outfield life!! the mosquitoes seem to attack me always at outfield at nite!! not too sure y.. another good thing is that i had more than enuf sleep (except at times for the occasional snoring of my section mate.. which i think he snore the whole nite, becos' everytime i wake up to adjust, i can always hear him snoring.. not to mention tat its loud too loh!! even the rooms beside can also hear his snoring.. tat's how loud!).. thank goodness that there is no turnout or anything like tat.. or else, i wld die man..

bk out quite late yesterday (compared to the previous weeks).. bk out at abt 3.30pm.. our usual bk-out timing on sat wld be about 1.30pm.. so its considered late liaoz.. so to rush home yesterday to come back home and rest, as usual, i bk for a cab and the entire fare cost me $8.30!! ex huh.. but it cld be $8.50, becos' my bking fee is only $3 instead of the usual $3.20, becos' i took Silvercab and NOT comfort/citycab.. so ya.. now u koe the lobang huh.. =)

today is even better at church!! had a fun time becos' u koe why?? My kor (my godbrother tat is), Derek, came to my church to help in some sound stuff as well as be a guest bassist and a some sort of teacher to our drummer.. but can feel tat today's worship is different loh.. got bass.. got drums.. got a full band.. got some power songs (led by Carlise).. Carlise if u reading this, i wld like to say GOOD JOB on today's songs!! like the transition of songs and good choice of songs too!! like the last part whereby after high praise, then we go to a fast song to end the service!! nice one!!

then after the service, a few of us (including derek) went to Suntec City for lunch at the foodcourt! I ate beef noodles (to specify, it is the beef tendon noodles!! yummp!!) loh.. after a while, we went to shop.. I went Carrefour to buy Michael Buble's NEW CD "it's time".. listening to it now while im writing this blog!! not a bad cd.. i didn't regret it!! =)
Derek of course tagged along and on the way, we had some laughter and fun together becos' huimin and derek were like cracking jokes all along.. so ya..
wish cld have more of these times together!! huimin and derek, do u see this?? haha.. *hint!! hint!!*

then came back home and now writing this blog loh!!

wats happening this week as i bk in to camp you may ask..

well.. we are suppose to bk-in tml (ie, Mon) but then, our superiors decide to call in for the late bk-in and go for a Lion's Trail instead tml.. haiz.. so ya.. will b spending Valentine's day in camp.. haiz..

then i think wed, we have platoon firing.. so ya.. pls. pray for safety, protection, drills remembered, NOT to misfire, etc.. thanx!

think tat shld all for this week.. the last week of our course wld be shiong sia!! but then, tat's another blogpost for another week..

Gong Xi Fa Cai !!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!! well.. this wk can say to be a slack week at camp and busy week for me at home..

slack week becos' only 1 major exercise (ie, FIBUA- Fighting In Build Up Areas).. this major exercise looks quite fun.. ma-chiam like some special operations forces (SOF) in the making.. serious.. no kidding.. we do those stuff tml.. which reminds me tat I have to bk in tonite at camp at 8pm.. haiz..
so wat u can do for me is to pray for protection and other stuff ya.. will stay at the FIBUA place overnite and then cont. fighting.. so ya..

busy week at home becos' have to go for visiting.. tiring but fun and most of all, collecting angbaos!! $$$$.. haha..

well.. looks like i have to end this blog here..

A slack week...

Well.. its me again.. sitting in front of the computer and writing my reflections for the past week b4 bking in for a new week ahead..
So here goes..

Last week was indeed a slack week.. a week filled with lots of not-so-critical stuff to do and yet, they call it admin time.. We, as soldiers, consider it NOT an admin time becos' our definition of admin time is simply letting us so-call "rot in bunk" and letting us do our own stuff like sleeping or reading newspapers and stuff!!
So it was not so free after all huh..

But last thurs was so cool.. we watch movie indoors!! and wat else.. but army movies like "Black Hawk Down" and 2 episodes of "Band Of Brothers".. and guess wat!! I fell asleep while watching both of them.. I was actually not very tired.. but then, whenever I watch these kind of movies, my natural tendency of my body wld juz simply let my eyes to be "eyes wide SHUT!!".. haha..

Then last fri, we went to the NEWater plant (nxt to Singapore Expo).. it was like reliving a primary sch dream, whereby all of us sat in air-con buses and go for excursions!! well.. in my camp, they call this visitation to the NEWater plant as National Education!! Oh watever..
The tour guides were like so professional.. they koe when to touch the plasma screen and without looking at the screen, they koe when exactly the next sentence wld show on the screen and stuff.. Juz by listening to them, it seem like I'm in some Chemistry lession in my poly lecture.. it juz brings back fond memories!!

But a good thing happen last fri.. in a sense tat we bk out on fri nite at 10.30pm.. i think it was quite a last minute thing.. but who cares!! as long as can bk out on fri nite, I happy already!! so wat i did was to bk a cab and come home loh!! no pt taking bus becos by the time i reach home, i think it wld be close to midnite or sumthing.. moreover, i was tired.. so ya.. money well spent lahz..

before our bk-out last fri, we got a Course Nite.. as usual, I sang.. I sang "Friends" by Michael W. Smith!! I muz say it go on very smoothly.. machiam like singing in a concert!! the "sei" is there!! chey!! oops.. am i boosting?? but nvm.. I like attention on stage tat is!! haha..
however, we cut our performance as it was too long.. audience are getting rowdy and impatient as they are waiting for bk-out lohz!! so ya..

Tat was my week last week.. well.. how was it?? shiong?? i dun think so, except for the IPPT test I did last fri.. as usual, I failed but then, i improve in every station.. so I consider it satisfactory!!

This coming week wld be a week of bking in and bking out frequently.. our first bk-out wld be this tues afternoon..
however, the next bk-in wld be on thurs nite (YES!! 2nd day of CNY!! becos' nxt day, we got FIBUA.. which is like another exercise.. so tats y we need to bk in on thurs.. haiz..)
then we will bk out on sat afternoon for our wkends and bk-in wld either be on sun nite or mon nite [the mon thing not too sure whether its still on.. it wld need to be judged from our performance.. juz hope the mon thing is real lohz.. =)]
See wat i told you.. a lot of bk-in and bk-out rite.. but the sian-est thing is tat have to bk-in on thurs nite.. becos' thurs is the day of CNY which i will enjoy most of every CNY.. becos' its my dad site.. and this is the time where i can visit quite a no. of ppl's hse to munch on goodies and as well as collecting ang-baos.. well.. seem like this yr, this is not possible.. haiz.. =(

well.. i think i shld end my blogpost here.. oh.. see the photo galleries links on my mum's birthday celebrations and as well as the CNY celebrations in Chinatown!! Visited Chinatown yesterday with family.. it was crowded but then, the CNY mood was there.. I lurrvvee it.. can't bear to leave that place yesterday.. haiz..
