Well.. wat I can say is tat yesterday's munting was juz another mounting loh.. woke up super early yesterday morning becos there was an event tat happened in my squadron and so everyone in my shift muz go down and help..
So becos I was in my admin attire (I'm still on status mah! Yesterday was my last day), therefore I was being placed at the Main Guardroom for table duty.. duty was still 18hrs, except tat in the afternoon, I slept like for abt 2 hrs.. actually can be more than tat, but then sumthing crop up in the end, which therefore makes the person who is taking over my duty slightly late (actually not as slightly as u tot! Its abt 30 mins!!).. so ya..
Then slept for a while, but not to mention the occasional wake-ups by wither my shift mates or the other shiftP1 ppl.. either they are making a lot of noise, or they wake me up to ask me sumthing.. of course, I felt vexed when sumone woke me up during my sleep! Arghh..
Once I started my duty again at the Main Guardroom table, I have been feeling sumtimes rather fustrated with the ppl who are changing passes and stuff.. some ppl are juz too hard to handle! But thank godoness tat this is only the minority! So ya.. guess tat this is wat wld be happening in the working world nxt time ya.. haiz..
Nothing really much to update.. exceptt to say tat during my P1 day in camp 2 days back (ie, Monday - which explains why I didn't update my blog!), I got to koe one of my P1 mate even better! We talk personal stuff.. it was quite an enjoyable chat! Anyway, we are able to do so becos its only the both of us in the bunk, so actually we can chat till our hearts content lah.. but then, the 'Zzzz' monster got a hold of me.. and within an hour of our chat, I was fast asleep! Tired sia!!
Oh.. forgot to tell you all sumthing.. remember the horrible BDO tat I've mentioned in my blogpost a few days back?Yes.. he is BACK again as the BDO for the shift today.. oh man.. the mounting shift today is gonna hurt real bad! Ha.. they are going to experience wat I've experienced a few days ago! All I can say is tat good luck to the mounting shift today! Wohohoo..
Oh.. one more thing.. My status ends today.. so tat means I'm considered as fighting fit again.. however, my condition has not fully recovered yet.. so gonna see the MO tml and see whether he will give me an extension of my status or sumthing.. so ya.. not trying to 'chao keng', but I feel tat I shld be fully recovered frm my condition before I mount back the normal duties again, as once there is a reoccurance, the sight wld not be nice! So ya.. =)

So "SWAY" lah!

Yesterday duty was in an air-con environment (which is at Main Guardroom).. thank God for tat lah.. However, it has its disadvantages too! Will elaborate more later in my blogpost.. so stay peeled!!
Duty yesterday was not totally 24 hrs.. thank godness my sgt gave me rest in between.. total did 18hrs out of the 24hrs duty lah.. see.. my sgt so good.. ha.. =)
Anyway, yesterday was a bit of a mental torture in my place of duty, becos apparently the Base Duty Officer (BDO) is one of the most particular and fussy Warrant Officer tat I have seen/met so far! Not to mention tat he is the BDO of the day! He first came to my duty place and then started to bombard me with questions tat either I dun koe how to answer them, or never heard before. I tried my very best to answer him, and sometimes where I did not koe the answer, I wld juz try to bluff my way thru by making out stuff, hoping tat he wld believe it.. but eventually, I got "caught in my own act" becos I cld not answer some of the questions tat he posed to me.. man.. I was stupid enuf to 'smoke' a story lah.. haiz.. The whole time he was in my duty place talking to me, I was very scared lah.. becos' I'm afraid tat if I say anything wrong, either my sgt or myself will get into trouble.. so muz be very careful when talking to this kind of particular people, for you dun koe wat they may interpret ur speech into.. so ya.. I guess tat the best strategy to tackle these kind of ppl is to be tactful! So ya..
Then this BDO very weird lah.. becos when he almost wanting to leave my place of duty, he asked whether my officer was in the other room.. I answered yes.. and he was like hurriedly wanting to go off and not wanting to speak to my officer.. dun koe why lah.. maybe he dun want to get into any further trouble or sumthing.. After he left, I informed all the various stations of his presence (juz in case he stunt!).. In the afternoon, one of my shift mates warn me of this BDO for he also kenna scolded the other time by this BDO also becos of a trival matter.. so he warned me tat I muz be very tactful in my speech and try to make no loopholes in my speech.. so ya..
After the BDO left my place of duty, I immediately went to the room where my officer was in, and told him all abt this matter.. my officer was so good.. he said tat if he comes to talk to me again, entertain him for a while and then say tat if he wants to koe anything further than wat I tell him, or I dun koe how to answer him, then call for him and he wld be there to help me answer my questions.. My officer tat good rite? He was also quite mad with the BDO as he "bully" me lah..
Then my friend took over duty frm 1500-1700 and then I slept lah.. then I thought my duty is frm 1700-1900 before taking a break again.. but then, there was some miscommunication in the duty schedule.. so I therefore so call kenna 'jia' lah.. but nevermind.. at least I got my 2 hr rest frm 1500-1700.. so after which, at 1700, I sign out the handing over book and then, went back to restroom and rest frm like 1700-2100.. so ya..
Dinner sux as usual.. becos lunch was not bad (fried rice with chicken wing and sambal fishcake) and therefore dinner sux lah.. but still have to eat wat.. or else I die of hunger!
Currently in my shift, there are like 3 ppl having flu and all 3 of them dun want to go see MO.. one of them (which is Samuel) got his flu so bad tat he lost his appetite.. my goodness.. after probing much, then he told me tat he had not eaten his lunch and dinner.. so practically he felt weak after eating nightsnack (which was apple pie and sugar coated donuts).. I think this time he got serious flu liaoz! If I use my mum's curing method on him, sure he confirm ok one.. but this kind of thing very sensitive.. so better not do it.. Then another one of them was also the youngest in my shift (which is Randy).. he has a runny nose.. poor thing.. Guess he did not have enuf sleep.. becos he kept 'chiong-ing' game and he has been sleeping late nites.. so ya.. this kind of lifestyle sure sick one loh..
Suddenly seeing all these 3 ppl so sick, I felt so bad and pitiful for them.. so sick still muz do duty.. call them to see MO, but then they dun want, becos they dun want to burden other ppl of their duty! So when I felt so pitiful for them, my "fatherly figure nature" starts to exuberate out of me, and machiam I like their parents sia.. At one stage, I asked Randy to come over and I felt his forehead to see whether he got fever.. thankfully no lah.. aiyoh.. of course, I muz care for my younger peers.. they are only like 17-19 yrs old, so I'm like 21 yrs old.. so its like an elder brother looking after the younger ones mah.. so tats wat friends is all abt rite =)
Then slack for a while in the restroom before I got bored and thereby went into the control room to read newspaper.. Just then, my sgt got sumthing to attend to, so he told me to stay inside the control room to mend the systems, whilst he went to do his stuff..
Just then after 10 mins of reading newspapers, there was a knock on the door (and this was unusual, becos usually no one wld knock lah, unless the door is locked.. but the problem is tat the door was not locked! and we all, even other ppl wld juz bash in like tat!!).. anyway, when the door opens, guess who I saw.. the BDO! I got a shock of my life lah, until I almost dropped off my chair and my heart really sank (I really mean literally sank!).. seeing him for the second time in the day! Seeing his face is machiam like seeing a ghost lah! I'm really serious! I'm very horrified to see him lah! Anyway, as usual, he has tat stern look on his face and I asked him whether he is there to do the routine BDO checks.. and he said yes.. so juz then, my sgt came in and then he entertained the BDO.. I actually tot of juz sit down there and carry on reading my newspaper, but then I decide to excuse myself, juz in case he ask me another set of questions which I dun koe how to answer them.. *yeeks!*
Then once back at restroom, I told my friend abt it, and concluded tat in literally terms, tat I'm not so lucky so as to strike 4D or Toto! And I think tat this BDO only aims those ppl who are alone at duty in a place where there are no superiors (be it officers or sgt).. becos I called and asked all stations, and they said tat the BDO never make things difficult for them, neither did he asked them questions (juz like how he asked me).. so ya.. I wld think tat he is aiming me lah (becos I was the only one left who did not have any superior in my place of duty!).. its tat bad lah.. tats why my title in this blogpost is 'sway'.. haiz..
Chatted with Joyce over sms yesterday and found out tat the clique which I always go with, are going to Brewerkz after their pool game.. man.. I juz love Brewerkz.. the drinks and the company.. tat is so great lah! But too bad.. can't attend the party session, becos I do duty at camp mah.. u tell me like tat how to go? And its such a pity lah.. tat I can't join them at Brewerkz yesterday nite, becos Rachel was there too (she delayed her China trip), and I've got so much to catch up with her.. As mentioned last wk, its like a yr since we've met each other, so naturally a lot of things to talk.. with me being the "social butterfly", it sure helps ppl to talk.. ha.. so ya.. such a pity.. hope she enjoyed herself yesterday nite as much as I did the other time where Brewerkz was my first pub experience! =(.. haiz.. I'm now starting to appreciate the outside world when I started NS, especially after I start my shift duty! I'm now taking everything NOT for granted loh!.. everything is so precious.. friends, family, places of interest and even food! Yes food! You wld be surprised at how bad the food is served in army.. its nothing compared to the outside world. haiz.. =(
When dismounting, news has it and its confirmed tat the two 2SG in our shift wld become ASLC (Advanced Section Leader Course) instructors (which is for the sgts-to- be in SBAB, and they are coming for training tml.. ).. so for this, my two 2SG wld be excused for 10 wks.. so today as a farewell present, we did something cruel to both of them lah.. let ur imagination run wild and u koe wat we did to them!.. will not state in this blog lah.. its all up to your imagination =P..
Dismounted duty and then came home.. parents on mission trip.. wont be back until at nite.. so its left my sis and me at home.. dun koe whether will go out or not lah.. see whether I'm lazy or tired loh.. so ya..

What A Day!
This morning went to camp in like my half-dinner attire.. then becos' last minute dun koe whether to come home first and change before going for my grandma's birthday dinner or wat, then I made a decision there and then to go straight frm camp lah..
So tat decision making process takes quite a while! but the time I bathe finished and stuff, it was a rushing time for me to go down and take bus!.. however, juz as I was abt to reach the bus-stop, I missed the bus.. so I juz have to wait for the nxt one..
By the time I reached AMK, its like 0650 liaoz.. and if I continue to take and wait for bus, I sure late one! So decide to take a cab instead.. and becos of the morning traffic, the cab fare costs me $6.50! A normal cab fare for me at nite is $5.30-$5.70! so ya..
Then in the bunk today.. actually got stand-by area by my new OC, but then I wait and wait and wait, dun have leh! Chey!! Made me clean up the bunk (ALL BY MYSELF!) for nothing! Its so clean tat when the dismounting shift personnel came in, they almost cldn't recognise the bunk! ya.. its tat clean lah!
Then, wanted to like sleep lah.. becos too tired.. but then I kept tossing and turning.. juz was I was abt to sleep, it was time for lunch.. so I had to drag myself to the cookhouse and eat lunch! Thankfully lunch was not bad.. it was western.. but the mashed potatoes were to die for! Its so nice lah! Imagine hot mashed potatoes coupled with gravy and its flowing seamlessly on the pile of mashed potatoes! Yummy! =)
Then went back to bunk and sleep.. but this time, can't sleep! Until like close to 4pm, my sgt came in and call us change to our PT Kit and thereby asking us to go for a short run as a shift! I think this is my PC's initiative lah.. so ya.. so there I did.. then after which, they played soccer whilst I train for my pull-up and standing broad jump (which are my IPPT stations)..
Speaking of IPPT, today I got a shock lah.. so embarassing.. I saw my name so big on the notice board for those personnels who failed their IPPT.. and my name is the FIRST somemore.. becos I'm the only CPL in Shift 1 who failed IPPT! So naturally, becos the name list wld always be in terms of rank first, therefore, my name is up there.. my goodness.. when I saw it, I almost fainted.. almost died of embarassment! Cannot! I muz make a pt to pass my IPPT test.. or else, I dun koe where to put my face! God, pls. help!! =(
At close to 5pm, I like hint to my officer to see whether can let me go early, becos' its like one of my friends left liaoz to go to hospital and see his dad.. so my sgt was so kind.. he said since I got sumthing on, he let me go and ask my friend for a car-pool to the main road (My friend drives.. tats y)..
So I quickly changed and bathe.. put my contact lens on and spray cologne and stuff.. and soon, I was ready to go..
Waited the bus very long to go to Yishun MRT.. but the weird thing is tat I was like on the bus complaining tat my legs were soft and stuff, due to the running.. then suddenly I at Yishun MRT, someone gave free samples of chinese handiplast (commonly known as ko-yok).. man.. God works sia! ha..
Reached Jurong East MRT and whip out my bus guide (initially went to internet and found out wat bus goes to the restaurant where I ate my dinner, and my uncle applauded me for tat, becos he never tot tat internet have such thing! ha.. the powers of internet!)
Then I was like ok.. take bus 51 then at the 6th bus stop, must alight! Then at one pt, I almost miscounted the bus stop.. so I prayed and trust my instinct.. and thank goodness, I stop at the correct stop!
Another hurdle to cross is to find the restaurant! The restaurant is located in International Business Park, and as you koe, the place is so so big.. so finding one restaurant in the whole place is like looking for a needle in a haystack! But anyway, thanx 2 my brains (haha!), I called up the restaurant with my phone (my dad SMS me the address of the restaurant earlier in the week) and ask for directions.. in the end, I had to walk back quite a distance to get to the place.. I totally trust my instinct for this loh! After like 5-10 mins of frantically searching, manage to find it lah! Then my uncle and aunties were there liaoz.. Went to the gents to freshen up.. and then came out, more ppl came.. so I was like eating first lah.. quite hungry due to the run!
Oh.. speaking so much.. forgot to tell you wat is the name of the restaurant.. it is "Penang Place Restaurant" (something like tat lah!).. it is open by a Christian owner, so they dun open on Sun.. which explains why we have to go on a Friday nite instead of a wkend!
The food was ok only lah.. but the fellowship between the memebers of the family was great! Initially, it was a bit "cold".. but then towards the end, ppl start talking to each other and stuff! I as usual try my very best to make some ppl talk, but they juz refuse to open their mouth! ha..
Chatted with my eldest cousin, Shannon, abt his job and stuff.. and also chatted with him abt his NSF days and other stuff.. we had a good time chatting lah..
My other cousin, Sherwyn, I think he is having his combat shoot.. so therefore can't attend the dinner! so ya.. or else, I wld have chatted more loh! =).. with me such a chatterbox, anything is possible! ha.

So ya.. my officer allowed me to book in tml for my duty becos' of this birthday dinner tat I have to attend.. so ya.. Thank you Sir!

Then went back to bunk and sleep.. but this time, can't sleep! Until like close to 4pm, my sgt came in and call us change to our PT Kit and thereby asking us to go for a short run as a shift! I think this is my PC's initiative lah.. so ya.. so there I did.. then after which, they played soccer whilst I train for my pull-up and standing broad jump (which are my IPPT stations)..
Speaking of IPPT, today I got a shock lah.. so embarassing.. I saw my name so big on the notice board for those personnels who failed their IPPT.. and my name is the FIRST somemore.. becos I'm the only CPL in Shift 1 who failed IPPT! So naturally, becos the name list wld always be in terms of rank first, therefore, my name is up there.. my goodness.. when I saw it, I almost fainted.. almost died of embarassment! Cannot! I muz make a pt to pass my IPPT test.. or else, I dun koe where to put my face! God, pls. help!! =(
At close to 5pm, I like hint to my officer to see whether can let me go early, becos' its like one of my friends left liaoz to go to hospital and see his dad.. so my sgt was so kind.. he said since I got sumthing on, he let me go and ask my friend for a car-pool to the main road (My friend drives.. tats y)..
So I quickly changed and bathe.. put my contact lens on and spray cologne and stuff.. and soon, I was ready to go..
Waited the bus very long to go to Yishun MRT.. but the weird thing is tat I was like on the bus complaining tat my legs were soft and stuff, due to the running.. then suddenly I at Yishun MRT, someone gave free samples of chinese handiplast (commonly known as ko-yok).. man.. God works sia! ha..
Reached Jurong East MRT and whip out my bus guide (initially went to internet and found out wat bus goes to the restaurant where I ate my dinner, and my uncle applauded me for tat, becos he never tot tat internet have such thing! ha.. the powers of internet!)
Then I was like ok.. take bus 51 then at the 6th bus stop, must alight! Then at one pt, I almost miscounted the bus stop.. so I prayed and trust my instinct.. and thank goodness, I stop at the correct stop!
Another hurdle to cross is to find the restaurant! The restaurant is located in International Business Park, and as you koe, the place is so so big.. so finding one restaurant in the whole place is like looking for a needle in a haystack! But anyway, thanx 2 my brains (haha!), I called up the restaurant with my phone (my dad SMS me the address of the restaurant earlier in the week) and ask for directions.. in the end, I had to walk back quite a distance to get to the place.. I totally trust my instinct for this loh! After like 5-10 mins of frantically searching, manage to find it lah! Then my uncle and aunties were there liaoz.. Went to the gents to freshen up.. and then came out, more ppl came.. so I was like eating first lah.. quite hungry due to the run!
Oh.. speaking so much.. forgot to tell you wat is the name of the restaurant.. it is "Penang Place Restaurant" (something like tat lah!).. it is open by a Christian owner, so they dun open on Sun.. which explains why we have to go on a Friday nite instead of a wkend!
The food was ok only lah.. but the fellowship between the memebers of the family was great! Initially, it was a bit "cold".. but then towards the end, ppl start talking to each other and stuff! I as usual try my very best to make some ppl talk, but they juz refuse to open their mouth! ha..
Chatted with my eldest cousin, Shannon, abt his job and stuff.. and also chatted with him abt his NSF days and other stuff.. we had a good time chatting lah..
My other cousin, Sherwyn, I think he is having his combat shoot.. so therefore can't attend the dinner! so ya.. or else, I wld have chatted more loh! =).. with me such a chatterbox, anything is possible! ha.

Now very tired liaoz.. a whole day of activities and also this blogpost.. time for me to sleep and wake up at 0530 tml to go to camp.. sianz ah.. but wat to do? haiz..

Thank You People!!
First and foremost, I wanna thank all those ppl who have given me encouragement on my IPPT issue.. You koe who you are.. so ya.. Anyway, have told my officer abt it, becos he has not update me as yet lah.. haiz.. he actually asked me to take my IPPT either this week or nxt week! I told him tat this kind of thing needs mental as well as physical preparation.. cannot anyhoe say take must take one.. haiz.. dun tok abt this issue further, or else I wld be once again depressed!
Let me update you abt yesterday's mounting! So here goes..
Was supposed to be in an air-con environment doing my duty yesterday, but then the other 2 personnels (who were also in admin attire) went to the MO for various reasons! So in the end, I have no choice but to volunteer myself to go to Eastern (which has no air-con).. The reason why I chose air-con places is so as not to aggrevate my rash further lah.. Anyway, no one go Eastern, so I have to go right? Or else you tell me who will do Eastern duty? see.. I so da4 fang1.. =)
Anyway, the ppl who are mounting with me are quite fun lah.. at least we joke around and talk rubbish and other stuff.. so all these factors actually spice up my Eastern duty!! hahaz..
Eastern duty for me is not as shiong as Main Guardroom, becos in Main Guardroom, my duty only allows me to sleep the most 3 hrs our of the 24 hr duty.. so its quite torturing lah.. but though I had lesser sleep at Main Guardroom, I wld still prefer Main Guardroom becos somehow it is more interesting there! Probably its becos of the ppl there.. I juz love entertaining ppl.. machiam like Public Relations (PR).. tats what I like best!

When I saw more details in today's edition of the Straits Times, true enuf tat they didnt participate! And one more thing.. the operator guy @ Canon was like super indecisive lah.. first he told me tat Canon is participating.. then after probing, he told me tat CANON not participating! haiyoh.. this guy make customers go nuts only! If I'm those very calculative type, I think this fellow wld have been reprimanded by his boss already! so ya.. so since no Canon deals, wat for go? I shall wait for Comex 2006 or sumthing lah, where they offer trade-in cameras for new cameras! So anyone of you who have/know any lobang (as in trade-in lah!) in the meantime, pls. feel free to either text in my Shoutbox! or SMS me ya =)

In a state of shock..
Will elaborate more in the blogpost.. so read on ya =)
Today quite slack at camp.. My officer went for his combat shoot, so no morning exercise of those sorts!
So the first thing in the morning I went to go and see the MO! When I first went there at the Medical Centre registration counter, I think I saw one of my ex-Sec 1 school mate if I'm not wrong lah.. wanted to call him but I dun think he recognise me and stuff.. so ya..
Anyway, saw the MO today and he gave me some medication for my rash.. and he said tat if it does not get any better by Friday or it gets worse, he will refer me to National Skin Centre.. so ya.. Quite frightening huh =)
Then its back to bunk and sleep for almost the whole day! The weather was so shock to sleep in lah! Machiam like there is air-conditioning in my bunk! Of course, I woke up for lunch and stuff lah.. then went back to sleep againz..
Booked out of camp and came home.. ate my medicine (antibiotics) and I tell you.. in my whole life, I HATED antibiotics! ewww.. it really sux lah!
Then went online and chatted with Sidney.. ask him abt my IPPT stuff.. and then he concluded after consulting his brother (who is the PTI of our base) tat even though I pass all the stations, but then the total pts for all station does not tally up to 15! I only got 13!! haiz..
I'm currently super depressed, demoralised and in a state of shock lah.. becos' wat happen was like last time immediately after the test, I was told tat I pass by the PTI lah.. but then, they didnt really count the points lah.. so after so long (like after 3 mths), they then tell me tat the sytem put me as fail! When I heard this, you can see me tat I almost cried at tat moment lah!! After my hard work put in the last time, my efforts have gone to naught.. and now, most probably I have to retake everything.. becos its quite impossible for me to have 4 pts for shuttle run (mind you.. tat is like 10.2-10.3 loh!).. haiz.. =(
I really tot I can 1 time pass everything liaoz lah the last time I took and therefore I felt so blessed.. but then, now here like tat.. aiyoh.. dun talk anymore.. anymore, I think I will evolve into an Incredible Hulk and mouth words tat I never mouthed before! arrgghhh...
ok lah.. will stop ranting.. going back to camp soon, and tml will have air-con duty again becos' I requested to my sgt tat I dun want to aggrevate my rash situation.. so ya..

The outing..
Well.. after writing the blogpost earlier, went to have a short nap, but not before discussing with my officer abt something..
Having my grandma birthday dinner this fri at some rest. in International Business Park.. so I was like pleading and asking my officer as to wat arrangements he can plan for me (so tat I dun need to take off and stuff).. and after I gave him a proposal and after a long thought, he agreed! So ya.. =).. so happy!!
Then woke up like 2pm.. and get changed and stuff.. and off I went out of the house and head for PS.. Met Weiliang on the NEL train before we both went to PS together..
Oh.. forgot to tell you all wat movie we've watched! I've watched the latest installment of Harry Potter! On the scale of 5, I give it 3.5 stars! It was quite entertaining actually.. with more laughters being injected in this movie by the various characters.. some of the young actresses were also very pretty! If you catch the show, you wld koe wat I'm toking abt lah.. dun want to be a movie spoiler, juz in case u want to watch.. so ya
I was like bk the tix for this show like a wk back, becos' I predicted the tix wld b sold like hot cakes when nearer the date!.. so ya.. When I reached PS GV box office, ppl were like queueing up! Man.. the queue was reasonably long lah! But ya.. thank goodness for my internet bking, my friends and I secured a good seat! =)
Well.. the next movie which I wld think I want to watch and most likely wld do an internet bking, is the show, "Chronicles Of Nardia : The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe" which is opening on 22 Dec 2005.. so ya.. see how lah.. so any takers/movie kakkis? Plan early so can bk early.. if you want, juz leave a msg in Shoutbox! ya =)
Last minute the trip to Carl Jr was cancelled, due to the poor attendance lah.. so ya.. went home to eat dinner whilst the rest of my friends ate at PS Foodcourt!! Of course, I recommend the Yong Tau Foo there lah!

My First...
Fwah! My weekend this wk was happening lah..
First, it was the Squadron Happy Hour happening in my squadron on Friday, which was relfected in my previous blogpost.
Then, it came to Sat (19/11)! Here's a brief (I hope!) account of my happenings.. so sit tight and get ready for a roller coaster ride (Am I exaggerating? I dun koe..) so here goes..
Woke up like 8.30am despite my late nite sleep on Friday.. suddenly juz woke up.. I think it got sumthing to do with my biological clock lah.. anyway, after waking up, was having my breakfast and at the same time, watching my tape programs of past shows.. quite enjoyable actually.. a change of activities rather than always facing the computer! So ya..
Abt 2 hrs later, the taped shows ended.. so as usual, I went back to on the computer lah.. was working on an upcoming project (can't tell u all wat lah.. when the time comes, you all wld koe lah), but then the project was quite long.. only manage to do a draft.
Then went downstairs to buy lunch for my mum and myself.. then watched somemore TV.. TV programs were boring (Sat wat do u expect?), so decide to off the TV and played some worship songs on my piano, since I've not done it for a long time liaoz! Was quite enjoyable..
Then went to bathe and get ready to go to church.. was apparently late for church music practice becos there was some miscommunication.. Did some last min practice at the school canteen.. so ya.. Then when I reached there, I saw Joshua Gouw studying for his History paper.. haiz.. poor thing! =(
Anyway, the worship went on juz fine lah.. no problem for me to play on the spot becos tat was wat I did in the past.. and fortunately the songs were easy to learn, so playing it was a breeze.. so ya..
After practice, went back to main hall.. and guess who I saw? I saw a former church mate, Rachel Lee.. Before she left for Sydney to study, she was the keyboardist in the Youth service.. so after she went, there were no more keyboardists ard.. so ya.. until I came after the integration, then they now have a keyboardist.. so I was lik chatting with her for a while b4 I relaise tat I need to excuse myself frm the conversation and get myself up to the main hall for getting ready the music instruments and other stuff for the service (which was startiung in abt 20 mins time).. so ya..
Sermon at church yesterday was slightly boring.. and it deosn't really help tat I was tired (in a sense tat I was yawning half the time, and my eyes were getting to be slightly heavy.. so ya.. but then, thankfully I didn't fall asleep lah!).. Matt Yap was sitting beside me and can see tat he is super tired becos of his body language! His body language tells all loh! =)
Then closing song came and service ended.. As usual, had my usual dose of fighting (ya.. I koe I'm childish.. but wat to do? I'm cute and adorable! YOu muz be exclaiming, "oh pls! how thick-skin can abriel be?".. but wat to do? Its my nature! ha.. with Joshua Gouw.. he apparently sytart it first with his pervert-ish nature (ask him urslef and u wld koe!!! If you want to koe, ask me personally and I wld be most gladly to tell you, in the name of self-protection and bewareness! ha..)
The thought of being a worship leader in OCC then suddenly came to mind.. I was thinking tat this is the best time for me to start serving in the Music Ministry again, since I'm like more involved in the Music Ministry nowadays (due to the usage of the main hall for our Youth service, which means I can play the keyboard).. so I was thinking to myseld as to why dun I take a step further, instead of juz playing the leyboard, I do worship leading.. at least I can inject some "HCC worship leading flavour" into the current Youth and at the same time, lighten Matt Mok's load of being a worship elader, becos he leads worship like almost every wk.. so at least the Youths of OCC wld not be bored by the style of worship/songs which were always sung every wk.
I must make this clear to the OCC Youth who are readin this! Pls do NOT get me wrong in a sense tat I want to change the worship system or sumthing.. its juz tat its good to have variety at times; the way I lead worship and you all are lead into Worship at OCC is slightly different (in terms of songs and style of worship).. so I guess tat at least the congregation wld not be like bored or sumthing like tat lah.. pls do NOT get the wron gidea hor! Thanx =).. but this worshi pleading thing of mine is not confirmed yet lah.. it needs to go thru my pastor and all.. so ya.. keep on praying for me ya.. If its God's Will, let this be a smooth process with no hiccups and stuff! I dun want to end up with some unhappiness thing again lah =).. some of the ppl whom are very close to me in OCC shld koe wat happen the last time round.. =)
Then my rash is getting no better, but its not getting worst too (al;l thanks to constant application of the caramine lotion).. so ya.. so I'm abstaining frm seafood such as prawns and other stuff.. haiz.. so in the afternoon, I was thinking of like if go to meridian Hotel & eat, wat shld I eat? True enuf, they said go to Meridian Hotel for dinner.. so ya.. then, my headache starts lah.. but I put tat thought aside for a while (becos find it not impt at tat moment).. so I was walking towards Meridian Hotel for dinner with Ash, Alvin, Andrew, Nat & Joshua Gouw and a bunch of other ppl who were either trailing behind or they car pool!
Anyway, whilst alking towards Meridian Hotel, I saw my uncle and his family! Said hi to them.. think they didn't recognise me lah.. becos I was in my contacts and they have not seen me in my contacts before.. so ya.. then I carreid on my stroll to Meridian.. then suddenly, Nat came out and his lame jokes and his 'aura' is once again present! Almost died of lameless yesterday.. ha..
Was alking with Andrew lah.. and then as we reached the entrance of the Meridian Foodcourt, I suddenly juz jokingly told him tat I was thinkinwhether the china gal at the dessert store wld be there.. and true enuf, the china gal was there.. I told Andrew tat she is qutie cute and stuff lah.. then Andrew was like telling Hannah (who somehow walked at the side of us) tat I was interested in the china gfal.. then she gave me tat look and I tired very hard to clear off my name lah.. but I htink she koes its a joke lah..
Then they went to buy food whilst I was sitting down quietly and looking after their belongings.. After they came back, I went to buy my share of food.. I practically walk the whole food court twice lah! Then after much hesitation and chatting with my church friends along the way (hoping to get some inspiration of wat to eat), I finally settle my dinner with my vegetable soup dish, "Pork Ribs with Watercress Soup" (on eo fmy all time favourite soup).. then when I had 2 mouthfuls of my dinner, my best pal, Marcus came and tap me on the shoulder and he said "hi".. I was like so surprised lah.. said a few words of 'hi' and then he called me over to accompany him to the nearest ATM and draw money! I was like "what?!?".. anyway, I was thinking since we had not chatted for quite a while, I decide to acoompany him to the nearest ATM (which was at Centerpoint btw) and withdraw money.. Along the way, we chatted loh! =)
The he asked me to accompany him to walk round the foodcourt to buy his dinner.. I was like pleading him to let me go back and eat my dinner lah, for I was extremely hungry loh.. Thank goodness he allowed me to do so.. So back at the table, I continued eating, and by then, I saw Andrew & Nat already eating their dessert.. So i jokingly asked them whether the china gal smiled at them or serve them with a smile on the face.. but apparently, Nat said 'no'. Anyway, when I first went there, and when the china gal saw me, she immediately smiled loh.. then Andrew was like say, 'see.. she smiled at you!..'. then i answered him, 'wat to do? I have a very memesrizing and charming face.. so every gal which looks at me will smile!..'.. so ya.. then the best thing is tat Andrew ordered the same, so she had to make the same thing twice.. then Jonathan (Josh Gouw younger bro) came over whilst we were still there, and he said he wanted the same thing.. so then the china dessert gal replied in mandarin, 'why dun you order 3 bowls of the same thing at the same time? make me walk so much..'.. so ya.. then I dun koe wat esle to reply. then I cheekily told Andrew is tat so tat we can see her more! ha..
Then when we went back to the table to have our dessert, Andrew then retold the whole story to Nat & Ash.. and as usual, they was like "woooo...".. was uite embarassed when they said tat lah.. and then Nat made a whole lot of crap lah.. practiaclly when he talk crap.. and when u ask him the reason, he wld always say the same reason, which is "my O leveles are over!".. it gets irritating at times lah.. but its the nature of Nat! cannot blame! ha =P
Andrew then started to make fun of my dessert which muz be "exceptionally" sweet.. then suddenly I realise tat my dessert is realy sweet loh (at least sweeter than Andrew's and Jonathan's dessert).. maybe wat Andrew said is true or it cld be juz pure coincidence? Find tat out urself and use ur imagination! ha..
Then its time for post-dinner activities.. the other younger teens went to play Counterstrike (I explained to them why I didn't play, becos its like I get killed within 5 secs.. ha..).. whilst the rest of us went to Party World KTV (below hello! Singetel shop near Heeren).. Actually wanted to go home, but becos of Rachel (which I wil not see her till nxt yr.. and its like the first time where I've 'partied' with her and the rest..), therefore I obliged lah.. before tat, rhe invitation by Nat asking me whether I was going KTV and he did a certain action which made everyone laugh lah.. Then Ryan started t use on Joyce.. and then it linked to me.. so practically the whole nite, Joyce & me were linked together becos of the joke tat Ryan cracked, on the invite action to KTV! So cheeky rite =P
So Tjow booked a VIP room, which comes with 1 very big room, 2 set of fruits and snacks and 14 free drinks! So it was my FIRST time where I started singing KTV (I think I'm starting to get hooked!) and of course, I chose JJ Lin Junjie songs.. my fav chinese artiste.. apparently I almost lost my voice when singing his songs becos its so high pitch! I'm like screeching away lah.. ha.. then before I started singing, I munch on the snacks lah.. but then after like 15 mins of snacking and by then I have ate tons of snacks, I juz realised tat I'm eating prawn stuff.. and I was 'stunned' for the moment, as ppl with rashes can't eat any prawny stuff! so ya.. no wonder I had an occasionally itchy spot whilst eating! After discovering so, I decided to stop munching away and drown myself with the Honey Jasmine Tea which I ordered, hoping tat the itch will dissipate off.. and thank God, it did after a while!
Then halfway the session, I had a wild idea.. and tat is to take scandalous shots!. Cornelius and I were so good at taking scandalous shots, tat ppl start following.. so those of us who were not sining, actually toook those shots lah.. and the shots juz get hotter and hotter each time.. due to the nature of the photos, I will NOT be posting them online.. but dun worry.. there are no 'self-exposure' shots or stuff.. all in the name of fun! but I will keep it in my computer, becos it wld be very good to have a memory of them sia! Most of us were like camera crazy lah, esp. Joyce.. she was like 'I want to take!".. man.. how vain can she be? ha..
*PS: The NORMAL photos will be out at the end of yr, becos' its taken with Rachel's camera.. so ya.. she wld be more convenient to send at the end of the yr, compared to now.. os ya.. so guess u ppl who are eager to see the photos juz have to wait?
I hate to leave tat place lah, becos the company was so good to be missed (I dun koe why everytime I'm with the youth ppl like Tjow and the rest, I feel so happy.. weird rite?).. Anyway, I have to go after tat lah, becos its like being late and all, and I promise my mum tat I wld leave tat place at 2300.. mroeover, I have to bk in the next day (Sun) at 0745, therefore can't stay out too late..
Walked to Thai Embassy & took bus 105, instead of walking back to Plaza Singapura and take NEL and then walk home (becos a bit lazy, thereofre never take the PS option).. anyway, bus 105 came a little bit late.. so by the time I reached home, its like 12.05am liaoz.. slept until 0530, wok eup and ate breakfast (surprisingly my mum was up and early and making breakfast!).. bathe and then get to camp with my new Vertikal Outbound bag! So happy!
When I reached camp, I got a shock of my life lah.. my bag stripe juz dropped out lah.. but thankfully, I knew how to repair it so its not so bad.. for a moment, I thought my $31 juz gone down the drain like tat..
So ya.. my duty in admin attire (becos of my status) juz get more shiong by the day! Now, I start to do a 24 hr table duty.. so I will stay in the duty room frm my mounting time to dismounting time! So prractically its my home yesterday at camp lah! I requested to my sgt the day before to let me stay in an air-con environment for my duty, as I did not want to aggrevate my rash condition further lah.. will go to the Medical Centre on tues to check it out with the MO in camp to see wats wrong.. izzit poison or sumthing which spark this rash reaction or wat? I seriously dun koe loh.. have to see the MO for this! so ya..
ok.. gtg liaoz.. got to have a light nap before I go out with my other friends to watch movie at PS.. so ya.. so exciting.. then at nite, we go and eat Carl's Jr.. so ya.. yummy.. will try to take photos lah! =).. Ciaoz!

First, it was the Squadron Happy Hour happening in my squadron on Friday, which was relfected in my previous blogpost.
Then, it came to Sat (19/11)! Here's a brief (I hope!) account of my happenings.. so sit tight and get ready for a roller coaster ride (Am I exaggerating? I dun koe..) so here goes..
Woke up like 8.30am despite my late nite sleep on Friday.. suddenly juz woke up.. I think it got sumthing to do with my biological clock lah.. anyway, after waking up, was having my breakfast and at the same time, watching my tape programs of past shows.. quite enjoyable actually.. a change of activities rather than always facing the computer! So ya..
Abt 2 hrs later, the taped shows ended.. so as usual, I went back to on the computer lah.. was working on an upcoming project (can't tell u all wat lah.. when the time comes, you all wld koe lah), but then the project was quite long.. only manage to do a draft.
Then went downstairs to buy lunch for my mum and myself.. then watched somemore TV.. TV programs were boring (Sat wat do u expect?), so decide to off the TV and played some worship songs on my piano, since I've not done it for a long time liaoz! Was quite enjoyable..
Then went to bathe and get ready to go to church.. was apparently late for church music practice becos there was some miscommunication.. Did some last min practice at the school canteen.. so ya.. Then when I reached there, I saw Joshua Gouw studying for his History paper.. haiz.. poor thing! =(
Anyway, the worship went on juz fine lah.. no problem for me to play on the spot becos tat was wat I did in the past.. and fortunately the songs were easy to learn, so playing it was a breeze.. so ya..
After practice, went back to main hall.. and guess who I saw? I saw a former church mate, Rachel Lee.. Before she left for Sydney to study, she was the keyboardist in the Youth service.. so after she went, there were no more keyboardists ard.. so ya.. until I came after the integration, then they now have a keyboardist.. so I was lik chatting with her for a while b4 I relaise tat I need to excuse myself frm the conversation and get myself up to the main hall for getting ready the music instruments and other stuff for the service (which was startiung in abt 20 mins time).. so ya..
Sermon at church yesterday was slightly boring.. and it deosn't really help tat I was tired (in a sense tat I was yawning half the time, and my eyes were getting to be slightly heavy.. so ya.. but then, thankfully I didn't fall asleep lah!).. Matt Yap was sitting beside me and can see tat he is super tired becos of his body language! His body language tells all loh! =)
Then closing song came and service ended.. As usual, had my usual dose of fighting (ya.. I koe I'm childish.. but wat to do? I'm cute and adorable! YOu muz be exclaiming, "oh pls! how thick-skin can abriel be?".. but wat to do? Its my nature! ha.. with Joshua Gouw.. he apparently sytart it first with his pervert-ish nature (ask him urslef and u wld koe!!! If you want to koe, ask me personally and I wld be most gladly to tell you, in the name of self-protection and bewareness! ha..)
The thought of being a worship leader in OCC then suddenly came to mind.. I was thinking tat this is the best time for me to start serving in the Music Ministry again, since I'm like more involved in the Music Ministry nowadays (due to the usage of the main hall for our Youth service, which means I can play the keyboard).. so I was thinking to myseld as to why dun I take a step further, instead of juz playing the leyboard, I do worship leading.. at least I can inject some "HCC worship leading flavour" into the current Youth and at the same time, lighten Matt Mok's load of being a worship elader, becos he leads worship like almost every wk.. so at least the Youths of OCC wld not be bored by the style of worship/songs which were always sung every wk.
I must make this clear to the OCC Youth who are readin this! Pls do NOT get me wrong in a sense tat I want to change the worship system or sumthing.. its juz tat its good to have variety at times; the way I lead worship and you all are lead into Worship at OCC is slightly different (in terms of songs and style of worship).. so I guess tat at least the congregation wld not be like bored or sumthing like tat lah.. pls do NOT get the wron gidea hor! Thanx =).. but this worshi pleading thing of mine is not confirmed yet lah.. it needs to go thru my pastor and all.. so ya.. keep on praying for me ya.. If its God's Will, let this be a smooth process with no hiccups and stuff! I dun want to end up with some unhappiness thing again lah =).. some of the ppl whom are very close to me in OCC shld koe wat happen the last time round.. =)
Then my rash is getting no better, but its not getting worst too (al;l thanks to constant application of the caramine lotion).. so ya.. so I'm abstaining frm seafood such as prawns and other stuff.. haiz.. so in the afternoon, I was thinking of like if go to meridian Hotel & eat, wat shld I eat? True enuf, they said go to Meridian Hotel for dinner.. so ya.. then, my headache starts lah.. but I put tat thought aside for a while (becos find it not impt at tat moment).. so I was walking towards Meridian Hotel for dinner with Ash, Alvin, Andrew, Nat & Joshua Gouw and a bunch of other ppl who were either trailing behind or they car pool!
Anyway, whilst alking towards Meridian Hotel, I saw my uncle and his family! Said hi to them.. think they didn't recognise me lah.. becos I was in my contacts and they have not seen me in my contacts before.. so ya.. then I carreid on my stroll to Meridian.. then suddenly, Nat came out and his lame jokes and his 'aura' is once again present! Almost died of lameless yesterday.. ha..
Was alking with Andrew lah.. and then as we reached the entrance of the Meridian Foodcourt, I suddenly juz jokingly told him tat I was thinkinwhether the china gal at the dessert store wld be there.. and true enuf, the china gal was there.. I told Andrew tat she is qutie cute and stuff lah.. then Andrew was like telling Hannah (who somehow walked at the side of us) tat I was interested in the china gfal.. then she gave me tat look and I tired very hard to clear off my name lah.. but I htink she koes its a joke lah..
Then they went to buy food whilst I was sitting down quietly and looking after their belongings.. After they came back, I went to buy my share of food.. I practically walk the whole food court twice lah! Then after much hesitation and chatting with my church friends along the way (hoping to get some inspiration of wat to eat), I finally settle my dinner with my vegetable soup dish, "Pork Ribs with Watercress Soup" (on eo fmy all time favourite soup).. then when I had 2 mouthfuls of my dinner, my best pal, Marcus came and tap me on the shoulder and he said "hi".. I was like so surprised lah.. said a few words of 'hi' and then he called me over to accompany him to the nearest ATM and draw money! I was like "what?!?".. anyway, I was thinking since we had not chatted for quite a while, I decide to acoompany him to the nearest ATM (which was at Centerpoint btw) and withdraw money.. Along the way, we chatted loh! =)
The he asked me to accompany him to walk round the foodcourt to buy his dinner.. I was like pleading him to let me go back and eat my dinner lah, for I was extremely hungry loh.. The long-awaited...
Well.. here's my blogpost for today.. so sit tight and juz read abt my day yaz =)
Dismounted duty this morning, but did not go home becos' no pt, becos' at nite, we got a squadron happy hr thing and all must attend.. details later in the blogpost..
So some of you all may be curious how's my first duty as a PIKACHU (pai2 ka1 pai2 chiu4)? Well.. its been fine but quite torturing.. read on to koe the reason..
The first thing in the morning when ppl saw me in my admin attire (where all status personnels wear for duty), ppl start asking me why and wat happen.. so I told them my status and the duration of it and other stuff.. They were quite shocked and as usual, they say be chao4 keng1 etc.. aiyah.. I koe they say this juz for fun lah =)
And then, I went to mounting on the rover vehicle while the rest were marching down lah.. it was drizzling so sitting in the rover was so sort of a comfort lah.. then its time to us to unload the stuff.. but then I was like doing all the job loh.. the other guy juz like sit there and help to push the stuff in front.. haiz.. as if its not enuf, I was detailed to Eastern Gate to do duty.. It was quite boring lah.. becos' I thought I can stay in Main Guardroom and do my duty.. at least got air-con and a change of environment, becos' I've been doing Eastern duty like for the past 4 duties! And this time my duty at Eastern has been a record breaking for me.. 18 hrs @ only 1 location of duty.. and tat is way super boring lah.. but no choice.. I have to do it! =(
Then after which, I spend like 2 hrs studying almost 3/4 of my advance theory bk becos' nothing to do at Eastern mah.. so its like I finish reading 3/4 of it, and its still afternoon.. so I was a bit sianz lah in studying, so I decided to go out in the x-ray and talk to the other guys (who mounted duty with me at Eastern) for a while.. and soon, I felt something was on my body, and guess wat? I found out tat I've got an unknown species of caterpillar (its those black one with yellow spots on top of it.. and immediately, I was paranoid.. thinking whether it cld be poisonous!!) on me and I was like in a state of shock lah.. becos' I felt this sharp bite pain on my hand lah.. and I told my sgt abt it, and he said if the swell or redness gets bigger, then go see MO..
but then nothing really happen (I think so!).. except tat near the region where the caterpillar bite, there was a stretch of red mark.. not sure wat it is lah, but can feel tat it has a prickly heat feeling!
So soon, I began to visit the toilet very often and put water on the red mark.. but then it felt itchy after a while and I began to scratch! After a few hrs of scratching, the red spot goes into a bigger region and now, my whole bicep has red spots.. (see pic on the left!)
Soon this red spots spread to my armpit region (it spread over the nite when I slept on the bed).. Apparently tat bed dun koe whether its clean enuf, becos' there was a small pc of lizard dropping.. so wat I did was to use an un-use blanket and cover the spot, whilst I use another blanket to cover myself.. so ya.. but I dun think its the blanket fault, becos' the blanket was juz changed the previous day! Moreover, I've also bathed before I slept! So ya.. it shld be the rash juz keeps spreading lah.. which I wld think most probably its heat rash/prickly heat!
And then, dun koe whether wearing an admin attire for duty is cursed at Eastern or not.. becos' I kept getting mosquito bites! In the morning, when I first stepped into my duty place, I got like 8-9 mosquitoe bites.. and then at afternoon and nite, it somehow didn't have! Then when come to the wee hrs duty, I was again 'greeted' by 3-4 mosquito bites.. stupid mosquitoes!! arghh!!
However, I still carry on my duty lah until dismounting loh! Then I went to bathe and then decide not to go home, becos' have to come back to camp in the evening for the squadron happy hr.. haiz.. quite sianz lah..
Anyway, a grp of us went to Causeway Point to juz have lunch and juz walk walk loh.. at first, some of them suggested to go to Orchard Road to have lunch and walk.. but then I was thinking tat no pt going to Orchard becos its like having only 3 hrs left before we have to rush back camp.. so ya.. no pt lah.. but thank God we went to Causeway, becos' I did some shopping today!
Remember the bag I told you last time tat I wanted to get but out of stock? (see pic on left!) I'm pleased to announce tat I've bought the bag (Vertikal Outbound) today liaoz at Sports Connection @ Causeway Point! I was elated lah! Usual price was $51, but now its $31.. wanted a further discount, but the person said cannot.. anyway, I was like contemplating whether to buy or not, but then after considering, I decide to get it since I've been wanting to have this bag for very long liaoz and $31 is a reasonable price lah! I've got the one on black and grey! Looks quite cool.. can't find the color online.. so guess tat this is good enuf? Then in the evening, there is this squadron happy hour where we had some fun games and food and beer, but the main objective is tat they want the whole of FDS to witness the presentation of GOH certificates to the GOH contingent for we had made SBAB proud, by sacrificing our time and effort.. so ya..
Food was indian cuisine (hmm.. I wonder why.. FDS personnel, tell me why pls ?!?.. ha..) and I actually made up my mind not to drink beer.. but then, occasion comes mah and ppl are like drinking.. so I drink 1 can of Tiger Beer lah.. it was not so bad lah.. can fill the effect of the beer after 1 can loh! Man.. I'm more sensitive to alcohol now! Anyway, then I saw Sidney.. and I playfully ask him to drink lah.. and u koe wat he answered me? He said, "once bitten, twice shy!".. ppl of SBAB shld koe wat happen to our dear COPA, Sidney Wong, during the base anniversary celebrations.. ha.. =)
My friends were like advising me not to drink beer becos of my rash.. but I dun care.. I still drink loh =P
Oh.. then during the dinner, my staff sgt told my officier tat I did NOT pass my IPPT! But I quickly told him tat I pass according to my results tat I've achieved.. and he said he will check it out, becos the computer system put me as FAIL (*gulp*).. how can this be? Thanx bro in advance! You're the best!!.. If I pass becos of a typo error, I owe you one man =).. meanwhile, I'm crossing my fingers! =)
Before the presentation of the certs, there was games lah.. the games seems harmless, but the participants and the audience were getting a lot of fun!! At one pt of the game, I almost laughed till my tears juz flow out lah (SBAB personnels, I'm referring to the game where Chan (frm my shift) did something to tat orange balloon of his! ha.. LOL!!).. it was so much fun and laughter!
Then after everything was done, it was time for us to go home.. so I hurriedly pack my stuff and make my way out of camp.. Then as we are abt to walk out after a while, an ST Log van offered to give us a lift.. so a load of us were like boarding the van lah.. free transport! ha..
Came home and showed my parents the bag I bought, and they said I've bought the right choice of bag! So happy =) ha.. Also showed them my rash, and my mum advised me to go and see MO.. but I told her tat I will go if it does not get any better in a few days time.. so ya.. =).. I'm thinking of my shift here hello =)
Oh.. one more thing.. I'm bkin in on Sun morning, as a form of compensation for my dismounting off kenna 'jia' last time!!.. my officer approve this loh.. so ya.. so tat means I can chill out more time with my church mates tml! Yeh!! =)

Dismounted duty this morning, but did not go home becos' no pt, becos' at nite, we got a squadron happy hr thing and all must attend.. details later in the blogpost..
So some of you all may be curious how's my first duty as a PIKACHU (pai2 ka1 pai2 chiu4)? Well.. its been fine but quite torturing.. read on to koe the reason..
The first thing in the morning when ppl saw me in my admin attire (where all status personnels wear for duty), ppl start asking me why and wat happen.. so I told them my status and the duration of it and other stuff.. They were quite shocked and as usual, they say be chao4 keng1 etc.. aiyah.. I koe they say this juz for fun lah =)
And then, I went to mounting on the rover vehicle while the rest were marching down lah.. it was drizzling so sitting in the rover was so sort of a comfort lah.. then its time to us to unload the stuff.. but then I was like doing all the job loh.. the other guy juz like sit there and help to push the stuff in front.. haiz.. as if its not enuf, I was detailed to Eastern Gate to do duty.. It was quite boring lah.. becos' I thought I can stay in Main Guardroom and do my duty.. at least got air-con and a change of environment, becos' I've been doing Eastern duty like for the past 4 duties! And this time my duty at Eastern has been a record breaking for me.. 18 hrs @ only 1 location of duty.. and tat is way super boring lah.. but no choice.. I have to do it! =(
Then after which, I spend like 2 hrs studying almost 3/4 of my advance theory bk becos' nothing to do at Eastern mah.. so its like I finish reading 3/4 of it, and its still afternoon.. so I was a bit sianz lah in studying, so I decided to go out in the x-ray and talk to the other guys (who mounted duty with me at Eastern) for a while.. and soon, I felt something was on my body, and guess wat? I found out tat I've got an unknown species of caterpillar (its those black one with yellow spots on top of it.. and immediately, I was paranoid.. thinking whether it cld be poisonous!!) on me and I was like in a state of shock lah.. becos' I felt this sharp bite pain on my hand lah.. and I told my sgt abt it, and he said if the swell or redness gets bigger, then go see MO..
but then nothing really happen (I think so!).. except tat near the region where the caterpillar bite, there was a stretch of red mark.. not sure wat it is lah, but can feel tat it has a prickly heat feeling! So soon, I began to visit the toilet very often and put water on the red mark.. but then it felt itchy after a while and I began to scratch! After a few hrs of scratching, the red spot goes into a bigger region and now, my whole bicep has red spots.. (see pic on the left!)
Soon this red spots spread to my armpit region (it spread over the nite when I slept on the bed).. Apparently tat bed dun koe whether its clean enuf, becos' there was a small pc of lizard dropping.. so wat I did was to use an un-use blanket and cover the spot, whilst I use another blanket to cover myself.. so ya.. but I dun think its the blanket fault, becos' the blanket was juz changed the previous day! Moreover, I've also bathed before I slept! So ya.. it shld be the rash juz keeps spreading lah.. which I wld think most probably its heat rash/prickly heat!
And then, dun koe whether wearing an admin attire for duty is cursed at Eastern or not.. becos' I kept getting mosquito bites! In the morning, when I first stepped into my duty place, I got like 8-9 mosquitoe bites.. and then at afternoon and nite, it somehow didn't have! Then when come to the wee hrs duty, I was again 'greeted' by 3-4 mosquito bites.. stupid mosquitoes!! arghh!!
However, I still carry on my duty lah until dismounting loh! Then I went to bathe and then decide not to go home, becos' have to come back to camp in the evening for the squadron happy hr.. haiz.. quite sianz lah..
Anyway, a grp of us went to Causeway Point to juz have lunch and juz walk walk loh.. at first, some of them suggested to go to Orchard Road to have lunch and walk.. but then I was thinking tat no pt going to Orchard becos its like having only 3 hrs left before we have to rush back camp.. so ya.. no pt lah.. but thank God we went to Causeway, becos' I did some shopping today!
Remember the bag I told you last time tat I wanted to get but out of stock? (see pic on left!) I'm pleased to announce tat I've bought the bag (Vertikal Outbound) today liaoz at Sports Connection @ Causeway Point! I was elated lah! Usual price was $51, but now its $31.. wanted a further discount, but the person said cannot.. anyway, I was like contemplating whether to buy or not, but then after considering, I decide to get it since I've been wanting to have this bag for very long liaoz and $31 is a reasonable price lah! I've got the one on black and grey! Looks quite cool.. can't find the color online.. so guess tat this is good enuf? Then in the evening, there is this squadron happy hour where we had some fun games and food and beer, but the main objective is tat they want the whole of FDS to witness the presentation of GOH certificates to the GOH contingent for we had made SBAB proud, by sacrificing our time and effort.. so ya..
Food was indian cuisine (hmm.. I wonder why.. FDS personnel, tell me why pls ?!?.. ha..) and I actually made up my mind not to drink beer.. but then, occasion comes mah and ppl are like drinking.. so I drink 1 can of Tiger Beer lah.. it was not so bad lah.. can fill the effect of the beer after 1 can loh! Man.. I'm more sensitive to alcohol now! Anyway, then I saw Sidney.. and I playfully ask him to drink lah.. and u koe wat he answered me? He said, "once bitten, twice shy!".. ppl of SBAB shld koe wat happen to our dear COPA, Sidney Wong, during the base anniversary celebrations.. ha.. =)My friends were like advising me not to drink beer becos of my rash.. but I dun care.. I still drink loh =P
Oh.. then during the dinner, my staff sgt told my officier tat I did NOT pass my IPPT! But I quickly told him tat I pass according to my results tat I've achieved.. and he said he will check it out, becos the computer system put me as FAIL (*gulp*).. how can this be? A series of unfortunate events
This morning when I first step out of my hse and get ready to go back camp, I knew I forgot to take sumthing.. but then I thought tat I was thinking too much!.. so didn't really cared!
Went down and as I'm waiting to cross the road, saw bus 135 juz came and like so few ppl taking the bus.. so I guess as much tat I'll give it a miss.. so I went to go and buy newspaper and take an alternative bus instead!
Everything went on smoothly until I reach my bunk.. and I juz realise tat I forgot to bring my key! Man! So tat was wat I forgot this morning!! My friend tried to help me break the lock, but then it was too hard for him.. so instead, he use another method.. he use his key and juz twist and turn and ta-ta.. it opened!! Thank God!
Then I was like franctically looking for a spare lock frm my friend.. and thank goodness he has loh!
Then got changed into PT kit and went for a shift run.. came back, bathe.. and juz as I was about to sleep, my sgt came to our bunk and ask us to fall in our admin attire.. I thought it was one of his ploys for us to fatigue work, but then, its actually going to the Medical Squadron and go for a urine test to see whether we've been diagonosed with diabetes, as recent cases of ants being found in our toilet near the urinals! I was like telling my officer it may not be us becos' it may come out frm the pipes! anyway, my officer said to play safe.. so ya..
Then once in the Medical Squadron, I thought of reporting sick for a health problem tat has been bugging me for abt a mth or two (I actually manage to maintain a clean slate of record by not going to report sick, but then I tot since I'm here, why not on the way? I admit tat I did not want to report sick is becos' I was lazy to walk to the Medical Squadron)..
At first, I raise this thing to the medic there.. he said since not serious, nvm.. but then I insisted tat its really an unbearable problem liaoz.. so he no choice but to ask me either come back at 1330 or tml! Later did I raise this issue to my officer and he said tat go and report sick at 1330 instead of tml, becos they may need my manpower for duty tml.. so if I'm not present, then they will short of 1 manpower! so ya.. Anyway, I was like telling my officer whether he cld let me report sick tml, but then he told me the reason and he somewat "force" me to report sick today..
So there I went at 1330.. and when I reached there, I was quite surprised to see a no. of ppl there.. There were the following ppl:
(a) some private/recruits who got some health problem and they want to see the MO becos' they've got a letter stating their health problem frm doctors in hospitals such as Tan Tock Seng Hospital..
(b) some NS-men who did their yearly FFI.
(c) and when I reached there, the only MO there was attending to an emergency case, whereby this technician got a severe migrane and they were all attending to him.. so in the end, this technician got sent to a hospital in an ambulance and the MO followed..
So becos of this emergency case, the only MO is gone and they have to ask the MO frm another nearby airbase (ADSD - Air Defence System Division) to come and help to see the patients..
So I was like waiting and waiting and waiting.. finally after 2 hrs of waiting (*gulp*), I got to see the MO.. In 5 mins, I was done and he saw another patient.. waited 10 mins for my medication.. and I'm done! haiz..
Then becos of this health problem, I got like 2 wks excuse uniform during duty and stand-by days! This means tat my shift got 1 less fighting fit guy to do duty.. haiz.. really pity them but wat to do? I can't control this health problem anymore! so ya.. so here's hoping tat they will cope well lah! =)
Then came home.. thank goodness once I stepped into the bus, then it rained cats and dogs! But then the changing of bus frm AMK interchange to reach home was so long! I took bus 133 instead of 135, becos' 133 came first! Anyway, the bus was travelling so slow tat the normal journey takes 30 mins instead of the normal 15 mins! The traffic jam was killing me.. it also doesn't help tat I almost developed gastric pains though I ate lunch! man.. tat was the most horrible thing tat happen sia!

Mounting.. No sweat lah!
Yesterday's mounting went to Eastern again.. but dun get the wrong idea.. I'm not complaining.. But yesterday's duty is one tat is quite shiong but at the same time, quite relaxing. "Shiong" in a sense tat its a 10 hr straight duty (never in my duties did I meant a straight 10 hr! The most is 6 hr!!).. "Relaxing" becos its under air-con for the duration of my 10 hr duty.. but its no joke lah.. Imagine standing with my rifle for 10 hrs! =\.. Quite shiong leh.. but 10 hrs pass by quite fast lah..
Then yesterday during my duty, we were discussing something; MINDEF is actually giving us something for our continuous learning in NS life.. So I was like thinking of wat course/e-module to take thru'out the whole day , and also prepare my Christmas shopping list during my 10 hr duty.. These are things tat help me pass the time loh..
The last news I've juz heard, is tat the Sentosa shift thingy on Friday is cancelled =( due to my squadron family day happy hour (which is happening on the same day).. so tat means more beer *sic* (dun think I will drink, becos' I personally dun quite like Tiger Beer.. and I'm also watching my calorie intake!) and dun koe watever other stuff tat is gonna to happen!
So its like Friday, my shift dismounting off kenna 'jia' loh, becos hv to come back at night, becos' this is compulosry.. Fwah!! This is so unfair lah.. haiz.. wat to do? Since when anything in Army is optional? [becos' if its optional, then no one wld attend! So they have to resort to such means.. argh.. =( ]

This blogpost is short becos I've got lots of things to do! I'm a busy man.. Am now uploading photos and writing this blog, etc..
At the same time, I'm chatting over MSN with my pal, Andrew over some personal matters [thanx to Andrew who made my day lah.. was feeling sad becos of a particular issue.. but he and his jokes juz made me laugh my sorrows away!.. set man.. we go and drink someday! think u shld be of right age liaoz hor? ha.. hope I'm not teaching you the wrong thing! ha.. as wat my army friend (who is 19 btw) told me when I asked him to do a naughty deed (dun think otherwise!) after dismounting today!]
Then juz now, juz came back frm Comfort Driving Centre (Ubi Branch).. I was there to book for my Final Theory Test.. and if you guys want to koe, its on 21 Dec 2005, 3.15pm.
And I muz say tat this bking thingy at Ubi was an experience lah! I last went to tat place and bk for a test (Basic Theory) is like 2 yrs back (14 May 2003 to be exact), and I've never been to there since (becos' I pass the test at my first time..).. Anyway, it also doesn't help tat I've not taken buses to anywhere near Temasek Polytechnic as I've graduated like abt a year back.. so as to wat buses to take frm Ubi to the driving centre was like a bit strange! But thank God for my mouth and a little memory of the bus no. tat goes to the driving centre.. I manage to find my way (I was like lazy to wait for the bus.. so its like I try my luck of every bus tat comes my way to see whether they stop near the driving centre.. since its like 2 stops away!).. Anyway, when I went there, I was like suddenly a stranger to tat place.. I roughly koe where to go (becos' I've talk to an operator before I left home), and I so stupid go and take a no.. I think everyone who wants to book the driving test (if they never been there before) actually took a number.. but then actually, the number is for students who want to enrol in the school and learn and take the test at school level! So ya.. After like 15-20 mins of observing the queues and heard the counters telling them tat they've got on the wrong queue, then I decide to join another queue.. waited for close to another 15 mins for my turn in the queue.. got the stuff settled.. but then this is one test tat I've paid so much.. becos Comfort Drving Centre juz came up with a new policy tat I muz open an account (which costs $5.25, and this account is for bking purposes like re-test theory bking and practical lessons bking.. but the downside of it, is tat it only valid for 6 mths! So after 6 mths, this account wld be cancelled loh!), and I agreed for a e-trial test (which is questions frm the test, but taken an hr earlier before the main test) which again costs me another $5.25, and the actual test itself costs me $6! So in total, it costs me $16.50! Man.. these ppl at Comfort simply koe how to earn money frm consumers! =
Regarding the E-prep thingy by MINDEF, I've decided NOT to take any courses, as nothing really interests me (except maybe learning how to work Adobe Photoshop 6.0.. but wat I have on com now is version 7.0.. so no pt).. Moreover, its not tat SAF is gonna pay the full 100% of the fees.. its only 90% of it.. and the rationale of us paying the 10%? It's so tat we wld take responsibility and ownership in our study! So ya.. nothing nice so wat for waste money? I decide to return these credits to SAF lah =)

I think everyone who wants to book the driving test (if they never been there before) actually took a number.. but then actually, the number is for students who want to enrol in the school and learn and take the test at school level! So ya.. After like 15-20 mins of observing the queues and heard the counters telling them tat they've got on the wrong queue, then I decide to join another queue.. waited for close to another 15 mins for my turn in the queue.. got the stuff settled.. but then this is one test tat I've paid so much.. becos Comfort Drving Centre juz came up with a new policy tat I muz open an account (which costs $5.25, and this account is for bking purposes like re-test theory bking and practical lessons bking.. but the downside of it, is tat it only valid for 6 mths! So after 6 mths, this account wld be cancelled loh!), and I agreed for a e-trial test (which is questions frm the test, but taken an hr earlier before the main test) which again costs me another $5.25, and the actual test itself costs me $6! So in total, it costs me $16.50! Man.. these ppl at Comfort simply koe how to earn money frm consumers! =
Regarding the E-prep thingy by MINDEF, I've decided NOT to take any courses, as nothing really interests me (except maybe learning how to work Adobe Photoshop 6.0.. but wat I have on com now is version 7.0.. so no pt).. Moreover, its not tat SAF is gonna pay the full 100% of the fees.. its only 90% of it.. and the rationale of us paying the 10%? It's so tat we wld take responsibility and ownership in our study! So ya.. nothing nice so wat for waste money? I decide to return these credits to SAF lah =)

Makansutra!

Well well.. ppl.. Good Evening! Its time for the food guru to blog abt his day! ha.. had loads of food and taken a lot of photos today, courtesy of my sis Canon 5 megapixel camera!
Well.. below are the pix of food tat we've eaten today at 2 different places.. read more to find out (btw, the photos are taken by ME! So my photography skills are not bad huh!)..
This was the pipping hot pig trotters we've ate for lunch! It is fabulicous, despite the amt of fat and cholesterol tat is found in it! We had lunch at the coffee shop (named, Hands Food Garden), located juz opposite the Changi Village Hawker Centre!
Was having our afternoon tea at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Cafe at Takashimaya.. then my sis was like reading the menu, and she came across this green tea named, "Heavenly Gunpowder".. its weird isn't it? So I ask my sis to take a pic and therefore, wat u see now is the result of the photo! I've of course edited the pic lah (ie, put the box tat is!)
This was my dinner @ Sakae Sushi Restaurant, Wheelock Place.. this dish is called Teriyaki Chicken Don.

What a difference a day makes...
Yesterday mounting went to Eastern.. Duty was ok lah.. but then again, lack of sleep lah.. so ya.. Got a chance to speak to Ming Jun abt Christ during our mounting lah, which makes our 2 hr mounting look like 1 hr.. becos' by talking to sumone, time actually pass faster.. =).. actually frankly speaking, did not want to speak to him abt it initially, becos' he actually asked wat I do today after dismounting.. I told him church.. actually, I was a bit lazy to call him to come to my evangelistic service today, but then I think the Holy Spirit prompted me to do so lah.. so I obeyed loh.. so ya..
After we sent our arms, we've got our usual debrief.. and my officier was a bit longwinded.. It was 0930 before he started.. I told my friend.. tat this debrief wld NOT end until 1000.. true enuf, it is loh! During tat time, we also discuss tat we want to have our shift outing next Fri @ Sentosa! Power sia! Can get tan! I'm looking like a white chicken now! Ha.. but more than tat, want to spend more cohesion time with my shift lah! =).. looking forward to it loh! =)
Came home today.. did some errands before coming home.. then on my computer, check email and after which, off com.. bathe and rush to church for music practice (becos I'm playing and singing backup for the evangelistic service today mah!.. fwah! That nostalgic feeling of playing and singing juz remind me the old times in HCC!.. anyway, as usual, help the worship leader a bit in terms of timing and stuff, becos he is not so musically incline.. so muz help mah in order to get things rite!.. so ya.. helpful rite.. ha).. then by abt 4pm, we are done.. and I'm like an hour away before meeting Ming Jun lah.. so I followed Ashley, Nat, Matt Yap and Andrew to 7-11 @ Centrepoint to get a drink.. On the way, I asked them some LAME jokes and I suddenly told them a lame thing which I've juz thought of myself.. Nat then commented tat when he is around, the LAME aura is ard him and those ppl ard him will get affected.. ha..
Then when we are back at church compound, Matt Yap, Ash and I went to the TOILET (*gulp*) to have our drinks, becos tat is the only place where there is fan, becos its super hot outside lah.. soon, receive a msg frm Ming Jun tat he's reach the agreed mtg place.. so went down to fetch him lah.. then went with Ming Jun to the canteen to sit loh and chatted with him a while, becos' not so nice to let guest come and sit in the toilet.. ha..
So the church service went on.. the speaker was good! He put his points across very well.. Just chatted with Alvin (one of my best pals in church) over this speaker, and I understand tat he is a Youth For Christ head leader and a former Chemistry teacher in Victoria Junior College! No wonder tat explains the excellent rapport and chemistry he had with us as Youths! Man.. he shld be invited more to our church to give sermons! Tjow, if u see this, u koe wat to do lah hor.. ha.. *hint hint*..
Then, had dinner... but the decision for dinner was tough.. becos' apparently 2 grps of ppl want to have dinner with me.. (ha.. see.. I'm so popular! *chey*).. anyway, decide to choose the Meridian grp, becos' the other grp is goin all the way to chua cho kang for some other activities.. too far.. moreover too tired.. so coming back frm chua cho kang a bit of problem if take public transport! (see.. though I'm tired, still can think!.. ha..).. once at meridien, had a craving for char siew.. so at first, was at a dilemma of eating wontan mee or char siew rice.. in the end, I ate char siew rice and regretted.. next time, i shall eat wonton mee instead!
Then Esther and some others went to Eski Bar @ Holland Village for a drink.. wanted to follow, but then, the cash flow is the problem and also my tiredness lah.. so ya.. decide to go home..
In the end, becos' ppl like Alvin, Josh Gouw and Ash wanted to play Time Crisis 3, so Ash was like kept asking me to go play lah.. I told him I was tired.. and he cont toask me a lot of times but I just reject lah..
Then when I was abt to separate ways frm them to take MRT, Alvin & Josh Gouw was like grabbing and locking my arms on each side and pull me into PS and into the lift and up to the arcade! (their acting is superb lah! they initially said bye to me lah.. after which, they juz grab.. it was tat natural lah..) I was like wat the.... tried to struggle and break free, but cldn't! Instead, I gave up and I followed! Then had to make 2 phone calls frm my hp.. they were inside initially.. but then dun koe how come they turn back, and all of them were like waiting for me and standing beside me to make sure I didn't run.. fwah! I was like a treasure or sumthing loh!
So I was like staring in space in the arcade and see them play loh.. Almost felt asleep when Ash said he got to go.. so I followed.. I then gave Alvin a peace of my mind by juz asking him who was the mastermind.. So Alvin said it was not him.. he said tat it was Ash instead! When I heard tat, I cldn't believe my ears; Ash WAS the MASTERMIND of this!! He apparently called Alvin to do it.. Joshua Gouw happen to be at his side.. so tst makes Alvin & Josh his accompalices.. and the mastermind himself was staying right far behind.. Ash if you are reading this, clever move! You wait.. one day you will get a taste of ur own medicine! ha! =P
Then came home half dead.. and bathe and now on this com and write this blogpost! Super tired liaoz.. so its like tml another day out with family.. so ya.. and bk in tml nite for mon duty.. sianz =(

Shack cannot think!
Hey ppl! Its time for daily updates again!
Yesterday's duty was totally shack out lah, even though I had one of the slackest duty shcedule for the day.. but its becos the lack of manpower, tat I had to help my friend to go and take lunch ration and my sgt this morning "arrow" me to take breakfast this morning.. which is like ya.. its not my duty but then I still have to go loh.. anyway, juz help lah.. becos' my shift is seriously lacking of manpower, till the point tat my shift need to activate the P1 personnels to help us do duty frm 8am-5pm and personnels serving their extra duties to carry on for the nite!.. so ya..
I was like having intervals of 2-3 hrs sleep for the nite.. and as you koe, this is really tiring lah.. have woke up since 3am this morning and have only like catch up on my sleep at 5.20am (becos' the persons taking over my duty took over late!) for abt 30 mins, then its me collecting breakfast and have not slept since! I'm shacked lah! =(
Then we dismount actually quite early.. and it was quite a happy dismount.. but then something chose to happen at camp and we were reprimanded and nagged a bit by a soon-to-be flight sgt major..
And after tat session of reprimanding, it was like 11.30am liaoz.. so for the whole period of bking out (frm camp to walk down to the main gate to walk down toranto road), I felt very sianz lah.. probably frm the tiredness tat I've acquired frm the duty I did last nite!.. my friend ask me why am I feeling so sad and so sianz and not my usual self.. they thought I was angry over the reprimanding issue.. I admit tat I was a bit angry and sad.. but mainly is becos of my tiredness lah..
Then went to AMK and had a haircut becos' tml got CO Parade.. which means tat tonite have to bk in camp, and tat my dismounting day kenna 'jia' 1/2 day loh and this is not fair.. hope tat there is some compensation or sumthing loh! *humph*..
haiz.. now my hair is short.. and I'm satisfied lah! =).. but now feeling eyes very heavy and need to take a short nap..
For those online, will be online again tonite until abt 2200.. so its sleep for me now.. too tired liaoz.. I frankly dun koe wat I talking right now.. ZzzzzZzzzz..

A Day In Bunk..
Well.. today practically slack in bunk loh! but of course, did a little fatigue work this morning, becos we on standby mah.. and I was shocked this morning lah.. out of like 20+ men, only like less than 10 men were at camp today, becos the rest were on off! So besides the P1 group, its like only 3 men (including me) doing the really 8-5 job loh.. haiz..
Tried to sleep in the morning in the bunk, but I could not loh.. becos I think I slept too much at home liaoz.. so I was like tossing and turning on my bed lah..
Then went to lunch at Cookhouse.. today lunch at Cookhouse was power loh! It was really tat power! Lunch was served on a banana leaf and of course with Indian dishes! then there is a never-seen-before dessert in camp (which is juz syrup with agar agar and longan) and a thai coconut dessert.. this is so cool lah.. how nice this cld be served everyday in camp! Man.. if I have a camera phone or sumthing, I wld definately take a photo loh.. but a pity I dun! =(
Then after which, went back to bunk.. but still cannot sleep.. so in the end, I studied my Advance Theory and I finish the bk liaoz.. now only left the questions part! so ya.. quite happy with my progress lah!
Then its time to bk out when Sidney called my phone! Man.. he chatted with me for so long.. rite frm the pt of my bunk to AMK interchange.. if my mum had not called me, he wld have continue to chat with me further! I chatted with him until my ears are red sia! But nevermind, my phone is incoming free! So ya.. I dun mind talking to him loh =).. Well.. as usual, we chatted a lot of things lah (i even comforted him with words at some point lah!).. Its seriosuly a fun chat loh! Sidney, if you are reading this, pls. do this more often! The chat session tat u had with me earlier is so so fun.. wish we cld have more of these sessions *hint hint*.. Its a battle of wits and speech against each other.. ha =)
Then came home, had dinner then watch the 7pm show on Channel 8, "Tong Xin Yuan".. then now on this blogpost and again, chat with Sidney on MSN! ha.. so fun!

What A Mounting!
Well.. yesterday's mounting, I was actually detailed to go Eastern once more for my mounting, and of course, I was elated at first!
However, I've got mixed feelings, becos I want to stay with my new found clique in Main Guardroom, so I saw Weiming (who belong to another clique and he hinted to me tat he wanted to go Eastern becos his "clan" is there..).. so without much hesitation, I decided to swop places with him loh!.. so there I was in Main Guardroom while he was in Eastern..
However, I was glad tat I've stayed in Main Guardroom lah.. becos' its juz so fun loh! =).. We had some err.. "fun moments" (will not elaborate.. if you want to koe, come and ask me and I will tell you!!) as a shift in Main Guardroom somewhere happening during the evening!
Then came nightfall, and I was detailed to go to Toranto Guardroom for duty.. This is one place of duty which I didn't want to go initially, becos' tat place doesn't give me proper rest and also the duty there is quite shack, becos' duty wld be frm 2300 and last all the way till 0230 the next morning.. but the tiring part is tat becos' duty starts at 2300, we have to start and move off like at 2230 frm the Main Guardroom, and this time is juz like an hr after staff parade.. so you tell me how to catch a light nap before I start my duty at 2300? Not to mention tat my officer "turned us out" to practice contingency drills at 2130.. so by the time it was done, its already 2215.. like tat where got time to sleep?
I was actually woken up by my friend after 15 mins of sleep, to get ready for contingency drills practice conducted by my officer.. so ya.. there I was and as mentioned above, I did not get any wink of sleep after 2215 loh.. so no choice.. have to "suck thumb" and juz get ready for duty soon at Toranto Guardroom.
Then once the clock strike 2230, we set off for Toranto, and the ppl were Samuel, Ben New, Velu & myself.. Samuel and I got dismountng duty, so we did the first shift of duty frm 2300 - 0200 (by right shld be 0230, but then my sgt said tat becos we had dismounting duty which is quite shiong, therefore he gave us to sleep at 0200 instead of 0230.. so Velu & Ben New had to do a 4 hr duty.. but then, Samuel and I came to a consensus tat we wake them up 0200 instead of 0150 for them to get ready!.. becos' we didnt want to tax them too much even though they did not have any dismounting duty!)
I was so glad tat I did duty with Samuel loh, becos' we simply talk juz anything under the sun (or shld I say the skies and moon.. ha).. and we talk all the way during our duty time, until 0200 loh!! And surprisingly when I mount duty with him, becos' we kept on talking to each other, we did NOT sleep a wink or felt sleepy during our duty lah.. so tats good!
Well.. can't divulge wat we share to each other, becos some stuff we share with each other is very private in nature, and I dun want to spoil this friendship and trust tat he has in me.. =).. ya.. must be sensitive to other ppl's feelings mah.. how wld u like ppl to tell others wat you told them in private? you dun like rite? so its the same logic here loh =)
But after the conversation, wat I can conclude is tat you cannot judge Samuel by his cover! I really mean literally, a cover! You wld realise tat he is actually a totally different person (in the way he think and look at things) after you hv a heart-to-heart chat with him! I will never look at him the same way again after the chatting session with him yesterday! I'm really serious!! And I'm so ashamed to say tat his mindset/thinking of life is actually much more matured than a 21 yr old me .. and mind you, he is only 19 yrs! Felt so ashamed by this fact loh! =(
So after saying so much, I can say tat yesterday Toranto duty was one of the most enjoyable duties I've done, becos' I've got to koe Samuel a little bit more than I usually do.. and talking to him juz makes your mounting less stressful! =) So ya.. now I think if I ever get a chance to do duty with Samuel again, then I will gladly say yes yes yes!! Mounting and doing duty with him is so so fun and enjoyable! oops.. I think I'm carried away liaoz!
So ya.. as mentioned above, I've got a very good male-bonding session with Samuel yesterday during the Toranto duty lah! =)
Then dismounted today and came home.. had lunch and now, on com with this blogpost.. and at the same time, help Sidney in his Driving Basic Theory Test, which he wld be taking tml! Sidney, gambette!
Which reminds me I have to study my advanced theory soon.. becos' plan to take my advance in December! tats my aim lah.. hope I can fulfill loh.. =)
ok lah.. gtg n bathe.. may go out with family later.. mum not feeling well, but she may still obliged! ha.. me a bad son rite? she sick still call her to go out! Ha.. and I think I'm starting to get under the weather too, becos' I have a cough and a slight sore throat too! sianz!

Scounting for food and run errands..
Well.. after I dismounted yesterday, went out with my family.. juz to window shop and stuff loh.. but in the end, didn't buy stuff.. becos my salary/pay/NS allowance (you get the idea!) not here and my bank account *ahem* is not healthy.. ha.. =)
Anyway, went round and saw a Braun Buffel wallet which costs like $96 lah.. its nice lah.. but I think my mum can get discount (20% to be exact) if buy frm Metro, becos my mum koes friends frm Metro.. so maybe can use their 20% staff discount card.. see how lah!
Then for dinner, we are like scounting frm Bugis (my sis went shopping there) to like Suntec City.. we machiam like food fanatics..
I actually wanted to try Equinox at Swissotel which is on the 70th storey, but then, somehow we can't find the lift to Equinox.. only manage to go to the 66th storey of the building.. but when we went out, it was like hotel rooms.. so in the end, we had to settle it for another time.. and there we descended in the lift frm the 66th story to the 1st storey.. I must say the lift is super fast.. in like 1 minute, you can reach the 1st floor frm the 66th storey! How cool is tat! =)
But in the end, after searching for so long, we decide to settle for Sizzler.. and the below are food pics of the food we ate.. These photos were taken by my sis on her Canon 5.0 megapixel camera!.. she studied a photography module, so thereby explaining why the photo is so clear and the angle is so good! =).. so drool over the pics ppl! =)
Swiss Grilled Chicken
Chilli Lime Prawns (This one not very worth it.. so expensive [$26 to be exact!] & the serving is small! its juz like 5 prawns and 1 small portion of seasoned rice.)
French Toast (which is served with every set meal ordered!)
Then I actually had the intention to take photo at Esplanade, but then there is no time lah.. a bit too late.. so ya..
In the end, we went home and I as usual did some internet surfing.. then slept at 11.30pm..
Woke up like 10.30am this morning! I was shocked at how long I can sleep! Actually, I got a call frm a friend in camp which is like 7.50am in the morning lah.. I thought someone frm camp called and I have to go back! anyway, I picked up the call and answered it half awake loh.. I was slurred in my speech and can't think well!
I slept for like 10 hrs lah.. I think its becos the lack of sleep the day before becos' of duty, and plus I went out with my family after tat.. so tat adds up to the real lack of sleep! =).. anyway, its seldom I get to wake up late.. becos' today is special.. today is mass off =).. oh.. now as I type this blogpost, I still feel so awake like an owl! I wonder whether tonite at camp I wld be able to sleep! Yeeks!
Then in the afternoon, went to bank and open a Save-As-You-Earn (SAYE) Account.. this is to help me save money lah.. I can't save.. so decide to let bank help me save loh! I actually wanted to have a savings plan very long liaoz but didn't have a chance to or I was simply lazy to scout for one.. so now since have, why not go for it? Anyway, if you want to koe details, feel free to ask me ya?? I wld be glad to tell u the details =)
Then went to buy the famous toa payoh rojak for dinner and some cell grp food in Toa Payoh (under the instruction of my mum).. and by the time I'm back, its like 2 hrs gone! Time juz pass so fast sia!
Then I ate dinner and did some calandar stuff for my mum.. Then this blogpost..
After this blogpost, have to go out and attend cell, before bking in later for duty tml.. Tml is another person less doing duty.. haiz =(.. more shiong loh!

An Eastern Mounting..
Duty yesterday was all right in Eastern, except tat its the normal 5 hrs sleep only out of the 24 hrs duty.. Moreover, its 14 hrs duty becos' its Eastern and quite lack of manpower. But nevermind, becos' today is public holiday and tml is off, so not so bad lah..
Anyway, at Eastern, the personnels on duty are Samuel, Alex, Ivan, Kian Boon and myself. So we actually click quite well.. We talk abt. some personal stuff to each other, and I muz say the chemistry between the 5 of us are quite good lah.. so duty is not a chore after all =P
So by now, 4 of them already koe wat personal issue happened during my duty yesterday, and I also koe some of their personal problems and all lah.. its a good sharing session I muz say, and of course, they give me some comforting words.. Special thanks to Samuel and Kian Boon.. They comforted me when I'm sad over tat personal issue lah.. Just needs time to gather my thoughts together and get over the issue altogether by MYSELF! But be rest assured tat I'm all right lah.. so dun be worried abt me ya ppl =)
Fwah! Yesterday, I think Samuel & me is the maid of Eastern lah.. I helped to wash the filters of the air-con unit in Eastern (becos' the air-con not strong, but after washing, the air-con powerful sia).. In the evening, I help pull the bedsheets in restroom.. Samuel helped changed the full bin, and I applauded him for it, despite his tiredness =)
Anyway, its a good mounting lah.. now, if you all excuse me, I'm going to sleep now.. so tired.. *Yawnz*

Shattered Dreams...
The dream which seems to be so perfect at first, but now, it is being shattered in front of me. The achievement of this dream seemed so close but yet so far.
I've finally came out of my "hermit shell" and try to grasp this dream of mine, but destiny is just too heartless, and I was not fated for it.
Should I believe in Fate or should I believe in God? This is a very hard question to decipher. Are God and Fate the same thing? I don't think so.
Dreams are suppose to be a good thing, but when one tries to reach it and have a competitive attitude towards it, all hopes and happiness will come to naught when one doesn't achieve it.
Would I be sad you may ask? And of course, I do! But would I be able to change history? I would give a definate 'no'. But what can I do? Doing foolish things like committing suicide? I don't think its worth it! I'm still young and there are still a lot of things for me to achieve in future; my family, friends and career.
When will I get over this sad issue? I don't know. It may be minutes, hours, days, months or even years.. Whenever I think of it, I would just feel very sorry for myself.
Anyway, its all over already! From now on, I would just carry on with life, and try to achieve new hopes and dreams.
May God's Word be a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Amen!
