Hey peepz! I'm back and I'm blog.. wats new? =)
Been thinking a lot actually.. here are my tots and also some of the day activities.. juz read on ya.. =)
Frm the nicks and blogs tat I've read, ppl have been falling sick! In fact, I've juz recovered frm my illness and I'm so happy tat I ate durian yesterday (a gift frm my neighbour!).. so nice rite =)..
Yesterday went back to camp to sleep over, becos this morning got SAF Day rehearsal.. so becos I ate durian before I left house for camp, my hands has the smell of durian, and believe it or not.. I kept smelling my hand, becos the durian smell is tat overwhelming lah! =)..
This morning's rehearsal was not too bad.. 2 full runs only with only a slight mistake during the first full run.. but by the second full run, we manage to rectify the mistake =)..
And I was touched by what one of my RSM trainers said, which I agreed too; the EXCO-Chairman (who is a rank of BG - which is 1/3 of a General in the Army! Tats how high ranking he is!) actually take this so seriously tat he kept coming down to our rehearsals and vet the rehearsals and give improvement if any! And also, he wld walk the ground, as in he wld juz walk the parade square (whilst we on parade) to see if anything was wrong and if there is any, he wld feedback to the person in charge.. Tats how "on" he is! Which I totally agree.. the RSM (1WO Khoo : Tengnah FDS RSM)said the following:
"This is the first time in 24 yrs tat I see a BG walking the ground! And if the EXCO Chairman is so serious abt the Parade, dun you think that you all shld be serious too?"
When he said tat, I actually like one in and out the other! But coming to think of it now, I think it make a lot of sense! Dun you think so?
This is also the first time tat I receive so many things frm an SAF Day Parade (last yr I did NOT have such privileges..).. the things I received are:
(a) A water bottle (issued at the first rehearsal)
(b) A SAF Day 2006 rehearsals newsletter (issued TODAY!)
(c) A A4 size photo of RSAF GOH with my RSM (issued TODAY!)
(d) An off day! (issued TODAY!)
Both items, (b) and (c) is a souvenir for us participants.. they are considerate rite =)
Before parade form up, I spoke to some other airbases' GOH members whom I see both in NDP & SAF Day, which they are quite close proximity to me during both parades.. so we interact a lot lah.. and I actually am quite close friends with them liaox.. so ya.. Glad tat friendships between different airbases can be made in such way lah! =).. heard tat after NDP, they wld NOT be in GOH anymore.. they wld mount duty.. haix.. sianx.. like tat, no one tok to me liaox.. =(
When we are abt to fall out frm parade, my sgt gave me a bad news; he said tat 4 of us (boon sen, samuel, yizhou and myself) have to do marshalling with our RP3 (*gulpz*) at Nanyang Polytechnic tml.. which means its so last minute lah! Have to get ready my RP3 and spend money on cab to bring my RP3 to camp tml.. sianx leh! So after much discussion, my grp swop P1 with another group, becos we wld only come back abt 5+pm.. so ya..
Tml wld be staying in camp also, becos Sat (1/7) got SAF Day Parade.. so ya.. and depends, I may or may not be back on Sat.. but most prob I will.. becos Sun is NDP rehearsal at National Stadium.. shiong rite.. but thank goodness, Monday is mass off given by my officer.. so ya..
Ok lah.. need to sleep liaox.. waking up at 0530.. and by the time I post this, its like 0045 liaox.. sianx! *yikes*

Mounted duty!
Yesterday's mounting was a bit shack!.. this is becos though we had full strength, but sumhow, the duty is a bit shiong.. I did not hv a straight 8 hr sleep.. it was all interupted lah!
Anyway, here's wat happened yesterday..
Did mounting table yesterday as first duty.. And I tell you.. it was one of the busiest table duty tat I've done! So many things to take note of, and my small little brain can only contain so much.. Moreover, I also have short term memory.. so it doesnt really help loh!
Then did unarmed checker, which was super humid.. was practically perspiring thru'out my duty lah! Finished my duty at 1300, ate lunch and then slept till 1515, when I got a call frm Sidney.. and he asked me things and stuff.. so of course, answered and guess wat! After tat, I cld not sleep liaox! Was supposed to sleep till 1640.. so practically I did nothing for abt 1.5 hrs! "Thank you ah" Sidney! =P
Then mounted gate duty frm 1700-1900.. Then its rest until about 2020 where there was a fire drill! It was super shiong lah! But thank goodness, we were fast enuf and my officer commended us on the fast timing! =).. Then its watching TV till 2200 before I catch some winks till 2240, woke up and get ready for my gate duty again at 2300-0100.
At 0100, went to sleep.. and this time, was super shacked! I actually dun even feel like getting up and do duty lah! Tats how tired am I.. but nevertheless, I did loh! I was again scheduled dismounting table duty frm 0500-0900.. and again, dun koe why.. suddenly the things to do at table somehow increases.. becos I was the only one inside, and occasionally, Surin frm the Pass Making Office helped to do some tasks whilst I settle calls/enquires or difficult "customers"., so ya..
After the duty, had some last minute lessons by my staff sgt.. then its my No. 1 ceremonial uniform inspection by my RSM's right hand man.. By the time we dismounted duty, it was about 1130!
Then went to AMK to cut hair for SAF Day.. now my hair is real short! But juz the way I like it =).. short and neat! This hair shld be able to last me till end of July I hope =)
Came back.. had chicken rice (with gizzards) for lunch! Then super shacked.. slept frm 1410-1645.. actually didnt want to wake up.. but I did eventually after much struggles..

I'm falling sick!!
Had a wonderful dinner yesterday nite, becos it was my dad's birthday cum Father's Day dinner.. we had crabs for dinner (which was really yummy!) but the catch is tat becos this is so famous, we had to wait 1hr plus for the food to be ready even though it is for takeaways! If we were to eat there, the time spent eating wld be longer, becos of looking for tables to sit and the ordering of the food.. so ya.. And mind you.. the crabs are super fresh lah.. we had 2 crab styles of cooking; those claypot type (cooked with carnation milk and thick been hoon) and white pepper crab! Oh man! The crabs are so shiok lah.. Speaking of which, makes me want to eat again! This is even better than those in East Coast =).. its really solid Sri Lanka crabs.. Lots of meat and they are sweet too! *drools*
Not only we had crabs for dinner, we had other stuff too and all frm the same stall, becos if like juz crabs, where I wld be full? So ya.. Becos we waited so long, my parents and I walked down frm the place to AMK Central to walk walk.. there in AMK Central, I brought them the places which I buy various stuff.. so ya.. tats how we pass the 1 hr lah! Or else, we die sia.. wait 1 hr and do nothing.. so ya..
After came home, eat those crabs and stuff before I changed and bk into camp.. Thank goodness I walked in, or else, my food wont be digested loh! So ya..
By the time I reach camp, its like 2245 liaox.. I bathed and then help my sgt to do some admin work.. Then by 2330, I was on my bed and slept! And as usual, my bunk mates were watching soccer.. but thank goodness no goal when they watch, or else, I wld be awakened lah! =)
This morning woke up with like not enuf sleep.. Throat felt a bit sore and pain becos of the constant coughing yesterday.. tots of falling out frm today's parade rehearsal kept dwelling up in my mind! But I still gave a shot!
When at SAFTI, I suddenly felt my whole body very weak! But as time goes by, it became not as bad (guess it muz be the bus ride and the fatigueness of my body at tat time!).. Then its like phototaking time.. again after tat, I tot of falling out, becos if not, I'm worried tat I wld not be able to go for parade on the actual day! Before the phototaking, Boon Sen asked me whether I was all right.. I replied tat I had a runny nose but I wld still want to go for Parade and try to push myself.. he then told my other friends tat I was stubborn.. but oh well.. stay there do nothing if I fall out, I wld rather do something loh.. so ya.. Moreover, today they also like not enuf ppl, so if I fall out, nobody can take my place loh!
But then juz as I was abt to like decide whether to fall out or not, my RSM said tat he wld resize us, and this wld determine the position on the actual day! I was like "OMG! Like tat cannot fall out liaox loh!".. so ya.. I did persevere until the last rehearsal lah (which means there were 2 runs which were under the hot scorching sun! and I manage to do it all without much difficulty!)
But wats stressful abt the position is tat it is in the 3rd row, and this is the row which I find it a bit of challenge.. becos my RSM say I'm no good in my marching, so therefore, he put me into the second row of the contingent (so at least I'm hidden!).. but now, I wanted to find him (during lunchtime) to change, but he was nowhere to be seen.. so no choice.. I had to stay in tat position until he changed me on his free will, becos if I juz change like tat, I will sure kenna jialat jialat frm him.. so ya..
So everytime when its march off, I get EXTREMELY stressful, becos I wld be exposed and become the FIRST row marching!! So any mistake, if my RSM see, he wld scold me for sure.. so its like I tried my best to march lah, until the point tat becos I locked my leg too much and march quite a distance, my leg gets cramp and numb after a while and its so hard to march lah.. haix.. but oh well.. guess tat since I'm in the third row already, there is not much I can do.. so muz as why do my best until the point tat my RSM dun agree with me staying in the third row and he decides to place me somewhere, then like tat then say loh.. so in the meantime, I juz have to march my best lah!
And then dun koe whether my RSM was not there for the afternoon session or sumthing, becos its quite weird tat he dun tok to us before we march in.. and when I see whether he is at grandstand watching, I saw sumone similar to him, but dun koe whether it is him.. becos I did not like get scolding leh.. its either my marching is more or less acceptable or he is not there or nxt rehearsal, he wld change me.. so I shall see how loh! =)
Anyway, I did make many new friends in the process of being in Air Force GOH for SAF Day Parade.. so ya.. so happy lah! =).. at least now my social circle is increasing and not in a stagment state of only in my shift/base.. =)

Fwah! What a week!
Heya! A lot to update.. so pls. be patient! =)
Friday (23/06/06)
Well.. this day I was P1.. had SAF Day rehearsal at SAFTI loh.. It was super tiring.. I dun koe why.. I juz slept and slept lah! Maybe I'm a pig.. *snoot*
Then when at camp, after putting my rifles at guardroom for being P1 duty on tat day, then I proceeded ALONE to the cookhouse for dinner.. And during the 15 min walk, I tot to myself.. I remembered one of my bunk mates saying tat he has NEVER eaten alone frm his poly days and until now.. he is always eating in a group or at least a pair.. Then I tot to myself, why do he feel awkward or weird to eat alone? Must it always be in a group, ie, even if its against wat u dun like or dun want, becos of accompany, you wld juz want to follow? I sometimes find this very absurd lah! Haix..
And almost all of my shift mates find tat Cookhouse food sucks big time lah! I do agree at times, but its only at times.. So whilst walking, I also tot to myself, is Cookhouse food really tat bad? I'm actually quite fine with it ya koe except breakfast! Breakfast sux at times (or shld I say most of the time!).. Anyway, its like if they (my shift mates tat is) have a chance (be it lunch/dinner/breakfast/tea time), they wld take all chances most of the time to either go Canteen or Spec Mess to eat.. haix.. its either they have too much money to spend or they juz dun want to eat Cookhouse becos they think the food there sux or simply they are spoilt for choices or the simplest of all, they are pampered with too much good food?
But for me, its different! I've been trained at home to eat simple.. so any simple food, I've eaten lah! Or perhaps I've eaten more homecooked food than others, so ya.. Sometimes, frankly speaking, the cookhouse food taste much better than my mum's cooking, probably becos the cookhouse uses quite a fair bit amt of salt/MSG..
(I've got the feeling tat ppl in my shift will read this, and they gonna kill me for writing this! But I dun care! Its my blog!)
Oh well.. ultimately, its their money and their life. I'm not in a position to juz care lah!! This is juz an opinion of mine which I juz wanna share with u readers, so ya.. =)
Then watched a bit of TV until 2200, then I sleep.. and guess wat! My bunk mates watched soccer again.. so its again another sleepless nite.. but thank goodness, it was only 1 goal.. so ya.. and tat was 2254 liaox.. so at least get to sleep.. so ya..
Saturday (24/06/06)
Woke up this day at 0645, to brush teeth and stuff.. Had a morning bathe (which was super refreshing) and ate instant noodles for breakfast! Then put on my contact lens and changed, and off I went for the NDP Rehearsal at National Stadium..
And I was like helping Hock Soon in the armskote, and my goodness.. the BDO (Base Duty Officer) is really very particular lah! He counts everything carefully! And the process of drawing arms only take the most 10 minutes.. but after he take over and stuff (he makes sure EVERY single stuff in the armoury is accounted for, and therefore, he counts each item!), 30 mins passed! haix..
Then never mind.. sat with my sgts in the bus, and had a good chat with them! Then its the start of the rehearsal.. the rehearsals were super slack, becos its like after each rehearsal we did, we like have 2 hrs break (mealtimes included).. and yesterday's meals were not too bad; KFC for lunch and Pizza Hut for dinner! How's tat huh =)
Then its rehearsals.. under the hot sun.. scorching hot lah! Field was a bit muddy, so therefore, my boots did get a bit muddy..
Then its lunch, and after tat, its R & R.. Went to watch some of the performance rehearsals (both the Choir & the children).. and yes.. I did have fond memories whilst watching the Choir sing and practice their songs!
Way back in 1998, I was involved in the Choir for NDP! And I had so much fun dancing and stuff! And whilst I was at the Grandstand watching them singing and dancing, it really brought back many fond memories.. Haix.. how I wish I was involved this yr too lah! But oh well!
Then its rehearsal again before we had a 2 hr break (mealtime included).. Then its rehearsal again, but this time it is a full dress rehearsal (ie, with our no. 1 and all, with Choir singing and artillery bombings, to the parachuters and the flag flypast by the Chinooks!).. the audience was a bit pathetic lah! The motivators and some of the organisers family!
Anyway, if you are wondering why there are so many planes flying around and some helicopter sounds, this is becos there was an NDP rehearsal yesterday at the National Stadium!
Yesterday's rehearsal was like becos even though had a few audience, but the screams frm the motivators and all, actually gave us support and we were able to perform!
Then when we sang the National Anthem, I was close to a bit of tearing (I suddenly feel so proud to be in GOH and it was all worth it!).. probably with more audience, the feeling wld be developed more!
Then its back to camp and then its bk out for me! Was super tired lah! Mum & dad bought supper for me! So nice rite =) Ate and then read the Classified News for job search! But unfortunately, it did not have any lah! But one job was tempting though.. SIA Air Steward! But oh well.. cant go and try also.. becos interviews are nxt wkend, and nxt wkend, both days I have rehearsals.. so oh well.. =(..
Tired and therefore I sleep loh at abt midnight lah!
Sunday (25/06/06)
Woke up at 0500 but saw was too early, therefore, I sleep loh.. Then woke up at 0800 but then cant sleep liaox.. so therefore, I wake up, brush teeth and am on this computer and blog loh!
Surfing the net for a while, before planning to write my resume! And tonite, go out and eat dinner with family (to have a combine celebration of Father's Day & my dad's birthday!).. then its back to camp later tonite, becos tml have SAF Day Rehearsal @ SAFTI again.. haix..
My schedule nxt week is super packed lah.. here it is:
Monday (26/6) - SAF Day Rehearsal @ SAFTI
Tuesday (27/6) - Mount duty
Wednesday (28/6) - Dismount duty but must be back in camp before 2300
Thursday (29/6) - SAF Day Rehearsal @ SAFTI
Friday (30/6) - Normal standby day but must be back in camp before 2300
Saturday (1/7) - SAF Day Parade @ SAFTI
Sunday (2/7) - NDP Rehearsal @ National Stadium
So you see.. a busy week.. moreover, I'm starting to feel sick.. Sore throat.. oh man.. I feel so sick.. *sniff*

But for me, its different! I've been trained at home to eat simple.. so any simple food, I've eaten lah! Or perhaps I've eaten more homecooked food than others, so ya.. Sometimes, frankly speaking, the cookhouse food taste much better than my mum's cooking, probably becos the cookhouse uses quite a fair bit amt of salt/MSG..
(I've got the feeling tat ppl in my shift will read this, and they gonna kill me for writing this! But I dun care! Its my blog!)
Oh well.. ultimately, its their money and their life. I'm not in a position to juz care lah!! This is juz an opinion of mine which I juz wanna share with u readers, so ya.. =)
Then watched a bit of TV until 2200, then I sleep.. and guess wat! My bunk mates watched soccer again.. so its again another sleepless nite.. but thank goodness, it was only 1 goal.. so ya.. and tat was 2254 liaox.. so at least get to sleep.. so ya..
Saturday (24/06/06)
Woke up this day at 0645, to brush teeth and stuff.. Had a morning bathe (which was super refreshing) and ate instant noodles for breakfast! Then put on my contact lens and changed, and off I went for the NDP Rehearsal at National Stadium..
And I was like helping Hock Soon in the armskote, and my goodness.. the BDO (Base Duty Officer) is really very particular lah! He counts everything carefully! And the process of drawing arms only take the most 10 minutes.. but after he take over and stuff (he makes sure EVERY single stuff in the armoury is accounted for, and therefore, he counts each item!), 30 mins passed! haix..
Then never mind.. sat with my sgts in the bus, and had a good chat with them! Then its the start of the rehearsal.. the rehearsals were super slack, becos its like after each rehearsal we did, we like have 2 hrs break (mealtimes included).. and yesterday's meals were not too bad; KFC for lunch and Pizza Hut for dinner! How's tat huh =)
Then its rehearsals.. under the hot sun.. scorching hot lah! Field was a bit muddy, so therefore, my boots did get a bit muddy..
Then its lunch, and after tat, its R & R.. Went to watch some of the performance rehearsals (both the Choir & the children).. and yes.. I did have fond memories whilst watching the Choir sing and practice their songs!
Way back in 1998, I was involved in the Choir for NDP! And I had so much fun dancing and stuff! And whilst I was at the Grandstand watching them singing and dancing, it really brought back many fond memories.. Haix.. how I wish I was involved this yr too lah! But oh well!
Then its rehearsal again before we had a 2 hr break (mealtime included).. Then its rehearsal again, but this time it is a full dress rehearsal (ie, with our no. 1 and all, with Choir singing and artillery bombings, to the parachuters and the flag flypast by the Chinooks!).. the audience was a bit pathetic lah! The motivators and some of the organisers family!
Anyway, if you are wondering why there are so many planes flying around and some helicopter sounds, this is becos there was an NDP rehearsal yesterday at the National Stadium!
Yesterday's rehearsal was like becos even though had a few audience, but the screams frm the motivators and all, actually gave us support and we were able to perform!
Then when we sang the National Anthem, I was close to a bit of tearing (I suddenly feel so proud to be in GOH and it was all worth it!).. probably with more audience, the feeling wld be developed more!
Then its back to camp and then its bk out for me! Was super tired lah! Mum & dad bought supper for me! So nice rite =) Ate and then read the Classified News for job search! But unfortunately, it did not have any lah! But one job was tempting though.. SIA Air Steward! But oh well.. cant go and try also.. becos interviews are nxt wkend, and nxt wkend, both days I have rehearsals.. so oh well.. =(..
Tired and therefore I sleep loh at abt midnight lah!

Woke up at 0500 but saw was too early, therefore, I sleep loh.. Then woke up at 0800 but then cant sleep liaox.. so therefore, I wake up, brush teeth and am on this computer and blog loh!
Surfing the net for a while, before planning to write my resume! And tonite, go out and eat dinner with family (to have a combine celebration of Father's Day & my dad's birthday!).. then its back to camp later tonite, becos tml have SAF Day Rehearsal @ SAFTI again.. haix..
My schedule nxt week is super packed lah.. here it is:
Monday (26/6) - SAF Day Rehearsal @ SAFTI
Tuesday (27/6) - Mount duty
Wednesday (28/6) - Dismount duty but must be back in camp before 2300
Thursday (29/6) - SAF Day Rehearsal @ SAFTI
Friday (30/6) - Normal standby day but must be back in camp before 2300
Saturday (1/7) - SAF Day Parade @ SAFTI
Sunday (2/7) - NDP Rehearsal @ National Stadium
So you see.. a busy week.. moreover, I'm starting to feel sick.. Sore throat.. oh man.. I feel so sick.. *sniff*
Ok lah.. gtg liaox and eat lunch! I will cya ppl when I cya =)

Am I still the same?
Well peepz.. guess wat! I'm like actually feeling much more tired each day! With countless no. of drills a week and also we muz do duty at times, its really tiring lah!
Yesterday the reason why I didnt come home is becos last minute, my grp have been requested to ask one person to like do yesterday's P1 (becos of an irresponsible fellow who like took off despite he was P1 yesterday!).. so my group like no one volunteer, so therefore, I volunteered lah, becos mum not cooking dinner, so to save dinner money, I volunteered loh! so good rite? and for this, my sgt said tat I dun need to do Saturday's P1.. so I was like 'ok' loh..
Then yesterday in the morning did a bit of fatigue work.. then as I was about to like almost getting ready and have the mentality tat evening no more fatigue work, suddenly out of the blue, it came out one, and this is the one which I was hoping whole day tat the P1 wld not do it, which is actually, deploy as speedtrappers to book those base personnel who were speeding.. It was ok lah.. I dun have any qualms abt it, except tat it is quite warm.. and whilst I was doing the speedtrapping thing, I saw my base commander actually running, and I of course salute him to pay him respect.. then as he ran back, I was suprised tat he told me the following:
"You guys are working hard. Keep up the good work! Good job!"... and tat immediately juz made my day lah! I so easily satisfied rite, u all muz be thinking..
But I didnt regret lah.. becos I got like a lot of shows all lined up for me to watch lah! so ya.. slept at like 2230 yesterday and woke up at 0700 this morning.. shiok rite? 8 hrs of sleep =)
Then its briefing of some admin matters by my officer, and then its back to bunk, and then in the evening got ready for the base run by my base commander.. its been a long time since I ran lah.. and then of course I got shacked!
And also today the course trainees ran too.. so its like more of a squadron run rather than a base run.. wahaha.. my OC led the run loh..
Then I wanted to give up lah at one time becos I simply cannot go on liaox.. but then, in order not to lose face in front of the trainees, I pushed myself..
After the whole run, went back to bunk and bathe and bk out.. I was simply shacked lah.. becos of the fatigueness level of the run and also, becos I skip lunch.. so tats why..
And whilst at the bus stop, I overheard a conversation between 2 technicians who were at the run juz now.. I was thinking to myself, "you expect them to slack juz like you?".. haix..
Ok lah.. came home and ate dinner.. before I was like on this computer and blog, and soon, I have to go back camp tonite, becos tml have rehearsal.. and tml I'll be P1 again, so therefore, I wont be blogging.. so ya.. so u all ppl take care ya.. and I'll cya when I cya =)

Tired..
Hey peepz.. before I go on in this blog, I have to say something.. my blog site is being monitored by one of my squadron's HQ personnel.. so I muz be very careful in wat I type in this blog frm now on.. so ya.. so pls. pardon me if you dun see any more camp updates (tat is if u are interested lah!).. so ya..
Ppl! Do you believe it? I juz came back frm camp not long ago frm my SAF Day rehearsal CDF vetting.. was totally shacked to the core lah! My RSM actually indented the bus at 0700 instead of 0730, and therefore, we fall in at 0645 instead of the normal 0715. But guess wat! The bus came late lah.. so in the end, we still reach the SAFTI (where we had our drills) at abt the same time.. and the bus was like super small lah (not like last time 40 seater bus which was so comfortable lah! Instead, today we sit is juz a 20 seater one!).
Then when we went there, we did a warm up in spite of the rain.. then I think they decide to push back the EXCO vetting, and we started the vetting at like 1110. But whilst we was resting in the multi-purpose hall for the vetting at 1100, I managed to talk to one of the Tengah guy (whom I only met like whilst I was in GOH this yr).. we did have some great chatting with each other, and it was a honest one.. so ya.. =).. hope I can keep in contact with him after I ORD! =)
Then after tat run, its time for vetting.. had a photo shoot which was absolutely amusing.. my RSM asked the RSMs whether they want to take photo.. they all said dun want becos they dun want to spoil photo.. then my RSM being a funny man, said: "never mind.. I want to spoil the photo".. and then, he went in and take photo.. totally funny lah! =)..
The vetting was not too bad.. drills are more or less there lah.. standard is also more or less there.. but then, we still need more practice as usual!
Bus came abt 1940 but we have waited abt an hour for the bus, becos we finish our vetting session abt abt 1800.. so ya.. after we finish dinner (which was not bad actually), we still have to wait for a while lah..
Then went back bunk and I was so surprised tat the trainees in my squadron, is actually turned out frm their bunk for a fire drill *diaoz*.. I feel so much for them lah! Only 2nd day and drills already? Sianx..
Anyway, bk out and I was so tempted to take cab lah, but didnt becos in view of nxt wk and my tight budget, wat I can save I save loh!
Then came home and do all the necessary stuff like soaking my no. 1 and then also pack by bag tml! so ya.. then I am here online blogging b4 going to dreamland soon..
To end off this blogpost, I wish to say tat I may have a chance of being employed by my previous company during my student internship whilst I was in Poly.. so ya.. they actually replied and said they wld want my resume and frm there, they see wat kind of job they can give me.. so ya.. so wld be doing that soon lah! =)

Wallet empty!
Slept at abt 0100 last nite, and woke up at 0700 this morning.. becos I was getting ready to go to Beach Road as early as I could, becos I want to avoid the crowd lah in the afternoon!
So after some deli-daly, I left house at 0900, and reach the Army Complex at 0945. When I went there, I was greeted by the smile of the aunty at 133 Trading and I told her tat I want to sew my tags. She then told me the following in Mandarin:
"Ah boy, lucky you come early in the morning to sew. Yesterday a lot of ppl come and let us sew also, but then, they juz leave it there for a long time and then they come back later to collect."
When I heard tat, I was like quite relieved lah! Then the aunty counted with her calculator (showing me how they charge and stuff, which is a good thing, becos its like at least they are honest like how they charge and stuff!).. and in the end, becos of my sewing for the tags, sewn name tags and purchase the 'Singapore' tags both for my friends and myself, I actually paid $29.30 in total! After deducting all their balances, I was shocked at my own amount for my uniforms (sew 5 uniforms with the tags, purchase 2 name tags and 2 'Singapore' tags) is a whopping $17.30! *gulpz*.. I gonna ORD liaox and have to spend so much on my uniforms! haix.. wat is this world coming to?
Moreover, becos of this sudden spending (which was NOT planned in my budget this mth at all), I actually have a sudden decrease in my personal expense.. and u koe wat this means? Less cabbing or worst, NO cab unless its absolutely NECESSARY (eg: bringing into camp my No. 1 uniform!).. haix.. to be frank with you all, I have only abt $30 to work with for the rest of my days until my next pay!.. haix.. pathetic rite? Can someone pls. throw me money? I dun care! I think I need to beg for money liaox on the streets.. do some busking or sumthing.. wahaha... jk lah.. but seriously, haix.. when one is low on money, everything seems so tough! =(
So whilst waiting for my uniforms to be sewn, I went downstairs to the hawker centre at level 2, hoping to find hot soyabean milk and juz enjoy the waiting time (which is instructed to me, 30 mins).. but to my dismay, I cant find any.. haix.. So anyway, I juz found a place to sit down.. do my accounts (to see how much change I muz return to my friend and stuff) and then read today's newspapers.
And then becos its so early in the morning, most of the stalls have not opened for business.. so the place is quite quiet.. so I was there listening to my mp3 playing Kenny G songs.. and it was so peaceful lah! Its all different frm all the hustling and bustling sounds of kids and stuff! Now I koe why old people juz like to sit and stare into space or sip their coffee/tea alone at a quiet place. Its such a pleasure thing to do lah! Man.. shldn't I do tat often? =).. or its juz me showing signs of old age? *confused*
Then came home via bus 100, becos I wanted to make a trip to the soyabean stall to buy hot soyabean.. and I tell you.. I managed to buy it lah! Best! Its like heaven!! =)
Came home and cut all the loose threads on name tags and stuff, then pack.. then parents call to meet me outside.. so there I went and meet them at Suntec City..
Wore my new Adidas shoe today out and initially, it was uncomfortable, but after much wearing, I got used to it liaox.. and it goes very well with my Levi's 505 jeans lah! Lunch was at food court and I satisfied another craving of mine.. Wonton Mee! Though it was a bit little, but nevertheless, I settled tat craving =)
Initially wanted to like shop round Suntec before going for dinner.. but surprisingly, my parents spend like 30 mins or so at Nature's Farm and bought close to $200 worth of health supplements *gulpz*.. they are health freaks lah! Ha.. Their thinking is tat eat more of these to prevent me from going to the docs.. oh well! But I was telling my mum, "dun need to buy all these things for me.. I want 10C!".. then my mum brushed me away and said "choy!".. haha =D..
Then we shopped round Carrefour, and guess wat.. bought things as a result! Then its like so early (like at 1715), but my mum say go eat dinner, so can get home earlier.. so ya.. juz go loh.. then my mum suggested eating Carl's Jr for dinner.. I agreed.. so we went.. ate a different burger today.. wanted to eat the fish burger but my dad is eating, so I tried something different.. I tried the 'sourdough bacon chicken' sandwich, not as nice as the fish sandwich =)..
Had a new drink today.. saw the other time one of the customers at Carl's Jr doing it.. but the other time cant drink liaox.. so I made it today and drank.. very nice =).. its actually half cup of the unsweetened ice tea and mixed with half cup of Season's Ice Lemon Tea.. best! Sweetness not so sweet! Added with a few slices of lemon.. its totally heaven! During my stay at Carl's Jr, I had like four 32Oz cups of the drink! Very nice =)
We chatted a while before leaving the place for home lah! When at home, I simply bathe, packed my things for tml and then blog this blogpost loh!
Sianx.. this wk I got 3 P1 duties (Mon, Fri & Sat).. so I this wk wont blog so often though! Tues got SAF Day vetting by CDF and on sat, if I'm not wrong, got those NDP participants' family members/relatives/friends show at National Stadium.. think this serves as a type of vetting though! So ya.. I'll be busy this week! Rehearsals and more rehearsals! Juz hope I dun fall sick though, becos I dun take Vitamin C pills as often as last time =(..
Anyway, TODAY marks the day tat I have EXACTLY 4 mths to my ORD!

Had a new drink today.. saw the other time one of the customers at Carl's Jr doing it.. but the other time cant drink liaox.. so I made it today and drank.. very nice =).. its actually half cup of the unsweetened ice tea and mixed with half cup of Season's Ice Lemon Tea.. best! Sweetness not so sweet! Added with a few slices of lemon.. its totally heaven! During my stay at Carl's Jr, I had like four 32Oz cups of the drink! Very nice =)
We chatted a while before leaving the place for home lah! When at home, I simply bathe, packed my things for tml and then blog this blogpost loh!
Sianx.. this wk I got 3 P1 duties (Mon, Fri & Sat).. so I this wk wont blog so often though! Tues got SAF Day vetting by CDF and on sat, if I'm not wrong, got those NDP participants' family members/relatives/friends show at National Stadium.. think this serves as a type of vetting though! So ya.. I'll be busy this week! Rehearsals and more rehearsals! Juz hope I dun fall sick though, becos I dun take Vitamin C pills as often as last time =(..
Anyway, TODAY marks the day tat I have EXACTLY 4 mths to my ORD!

Can tired be used as an excuse?
Haix.. today really shacked to the core lah!
Yesterday's drill at SAFTI was really tiring, and yesterday is the day where I sang the MOST times of the National Anthem.. I think I sang 10 times of the National Anthem lah! Not tat I dun want to sing or dun like to sing.. its juz tat its too many times! haix.. but oh well..
Though the weather is good, but then, somehow juz felt tired.. then the worst thing came.. during one of the sequence runs, the right marker kenna scolded by one of the RSM, though clearly its not the right marker fault! This RSM scolds ppl before he checked out the facts, and worst still, he dun apologise! It is clearly the band's fault but he did not listen of it! haix.. Everyone all agree tat its the band's fault, becos they played an extra beat and as a result, the whole RSAF GOH contingent (which I'm in lah!) actually was kenna aimed lah!
I tell you.. Becos' I was the one who gave the timing, I was also actually at fault and NOT the right marker's fault, becos since I give timing for my seciton whilst marching, so if anything wrong, I shld take most of the responsibility.. the right marker was not at fault lah! And when I see the RSM juz scold the right marker like nobody's business (he said things like "you dun take seriously rite? This is not the first time already!").. so no matter how much explanation the right marker give, he wld not listen to it lah! I was darn fed up at tat time lah!
Then it came worst in the evening.. we are supposed to do an indoor wet-weather programme filming for Chief-of-Defence Force (CDF) to vet.. and we muz do the full run which last anything between 30 mins - 45 mins! Even though juz do simple 4 actions, but standing too long, your back wld start to ache.. And as if its not enuf, when the verdict came, they told us it was good, but there are too many error areas, so therefore we have to reshoot.. we was like WTH! Tat time was like 1930 liaox and not forgetting tat there was a NDP rehearsal today.. so ya.. so they actually cut down some details (like short prize giving and national anthem), but it did not make any difference lah! We still have to do it wat!
So by the time we finish, its already abt 2000 liaox.. then we took bus back to camp and by the time we send arms and reach bunk, its 2100 liaox! No point for me to bk out, becos today got NDP rehearsal and we muz bk in before 2359.. Anyway, I did not bk out lah, becos was super shacked! By 2200, I was fast asleep on my bed..
Woke up at 0700 this morning.. ate instant noodles for breakfast.. then left for National Stadium.. as usual, we waited for the Base Duty Officer (BDO) like for 45 mins becos heard tat he was uncontactable!
Left for National Stadium.. settled all the normal stuff before having lunch, and then we march in for the first rehearsal for the day! And becos there was a person absent, therefore, I was asked to come to the first row.. Then the first rehearsal went by.. and then juz before the second rehearsal, my RSM saw me why was I in the first row, and he asked me to swop places (becos of my poor marching skills, I dun feel tat but tats wat my RSM say.. so oh well.. shall look on the bright side!) so tat I'll go into the second row.. so ya.. Phew! I breathed a sigh of relief, becos in front, I have a higher chance of being scolded for my marching and stuff.. in front super stressful lah! At least if 2nd or 3rd row, not so bad.. can slack a bit =).. So ya..
Then came back home in cab and had a craving for Chomp Chomp's Hokkien Mee.. so I actually came home, after put down the bag, and wash my clothing and then I changed to my PT Kit and then proceed to Chomp Chomp @ Serangoon Gardens.. Then when I walk halfway, I felt tat it was a worse to juz walk.. so I started running to Chomp Chomp.. and guess wat! I felt so good lah! Juz sweating it out! Was perspiring like mad when I reach Chomp Chomp lah.. I spent abt 15 mins running!
Bought loads of stuff.. somehow when I go Chomp Chomp, I wont juz buy my own stuff.. find a bit wasted.. so usually, I wld juz go and buy other stuff, and as a result, spend quite a lot.. $17.70 to be exact!
Anyway, the Hokkien Mee man is like different ppl fry liaox, and I actually wondered whether it was the same stall owner.. but his daughter is there.. and the sign is there.. so I dun think the man dun want to fry anymore.. I think he is taking a break lah or simply retire.. And if you have been to Food Republic in Wisma Atria, you wld have realised tat one of the servers in the Hokkien Mee stall in Food Republic is actually helping out in the Serangoon Garden hokkien mee stall (which is a totally DIFFERENT name!).. and this makes me suspect tat its a family business.. Somehow they muz be related, or else, the taste for both hokkien mee at both locations (S'goon Gardens & Food Republic) is almost the same.. so ya.. But they increase price liaox.. $3-$5, instead of $2-$4.. And I tell you.. initially, I ordered $3, but see like so little, therefore, I increase the price to $4, and then I eat finish, juz nice =)
Ordered satay as well (its been long since I eat it!).. mutton one somemore.. Yummy =).. Finish dinner and then on my computer and blog loh until now! =0)
Ok lah.. super shacked liaox.. Sianx.. muz go down to Beach Road to sew my uniforms, name tags and Singapore tags.. haix.. and guess wat! Tat alone costs me abt $20..

Slacker!
Yes! This is wat I can be called! Becos today I on off (finally after countless attempts to take off, but cldn't becos of rehearsals or mounting! So at least this is a well-deserved break for me lah!)..
Anyway, I also think tat today I quite slack.. ppl say off muz go out rite? But I didn't loh! Instead, I stayed home to rest and of course with my computer on the whole day, it definately is my favourite pastime =)..
Slept at 3am yesterday (was online chatting with various friends..) and woke up like 7am this morning.. becos my mum on my room light to sweep my room! I was like "wah lao.. on light I cannot sleep liaox!".. but anyway, after a while, I slept until one of my sgt, Stanley, called at abt 0840 and ask me whether I was on off and then I replied and he told me tat I have to bring my sub standard no. 1 tml for tml's vetting (which was so last minute).. I said ok.. then I msg the rest of my friends (boon sen, guowei, samuel & yizhou) abt the no. 1 thingy..
Then I cant sleep liaox and was on my com the whole day loh.. In the afternoon, I went back to sleep, becos scared too shacked for tml's rehearsal.. so ya.. but again, it was interupted, becos ppl kept calling or msg me.. so ya.. so its like sleep.. ppl msg.. see msg.. go back sleep.. sgt called..
The latest call was frm my sgt telling me tat tml instead of sub-standard no. 1, bring actual no. 1 becos its like some ppl have sub and some ppl have actual.. so to prevent all confusion, use actual! Then I was like WTH! Tues I also need to use it, becos Tues is Chief of Defence Force (CDF) vetting of SAF Day 2006! So cfm sure use actual no. 1.. so ya.. Then, I managed to psycho him tat I wld be bringing my sub-standard no. 1 for rehearsal tml.. becos I told him tat my sub-standard no. 1 is my last yr's actual top.. so ya.. so quite new!.. thank God he agreed.. or else, I wld spend a lot of time ironing and washing my no. 1 and muz get ready by sun nite/mon morning.. like tat where can? so ya.. So I'm bringing in my sub-standard no. 1 no matter wat loh! =)
Then was on com and then had dinner.. mum cooked bak ku teh.. very nice! Its been a while since I eat it loh =)..
Ok lah.. gtg and watch TV liaox! Bkin in later tonite.. sianx.. Cya ppl tml or Sat lah! Becos tml's rehearsal I heard is till 9pm.. so ya.. and it depends whether we need to bk in on Saturday morning for NDP rehearsal or the nite itself.. I shall see whether which is more suitable as in whether I wld bk out or not.. so ya.. =) Cya ppl then!

Shacked as usual!
Yesterday did not come home, becos was P1 lah! And originally, becos I was so so shacked, tat I actually was like half dead yesterday lah.. then guess wat! One of the shift sgts call us to go down and do duty.. sianx loh!.. he machiam like ask me today my grp P1 izzit.. I gave a positive yes.. and he was like ok.. "you all come and do duty frm 0800-1700".. we were like "huh.. why?".. then he gave a reason saying tat 8 people were on MC! I was like WTH!
Then an hour pass, and we were at guardroom to put our rifles.. Then the sgt called us to do duty frm 1300-1700.. and then we was like 'ok loh'.. but after tat, when we were on the way to bunk, I called my officer and told him like wat they call us to do.. then he told us tat he wld fight for us, and he said something which all of us really think tat he is like really fighting for us.. and tat is, "last time we call them to help, they didnt want to.. now they need help, we shldn't help them too rite?".. fwah! best lah!
In the end, we didnt go and help, but then, we did a somewhat 'duty' which is catch all those base personnel who were speeding.. so ya.. caught 2 though, during my 2 hrs of duty! so ya..
Then had dinner at guardroom, before proceeding back to bunk to watch TV and rest for today's drill happening this morning at SAFTI!
But the worst thing happened in bunk yesterday.. first thing first, yesterday was really a tragedy for me.. Boon sen got nothing to do, and he search my head and guess wat! I've got a strand of WHITE hair! Gosh! Never in my whole life I tot I wld have WHITE hair! haix.. I was really loss for words yesterday lah, and u shld have seen my face.. I was stunned for a moment! I can't imagine myself with WHITE hair! Gosh!! Ahhhhh.... I'm getting old!!
Then as I was able to sleep, my bunk mates (abt 4-5 ppl) were watching soccer (Korea vs Togo) frm 2100-2300.. and everytime Korea goal (they support Korea mah!), they wld shout, "GOAL" at the top of their voices, and I was like awakened lah! Then as I was about in deep sleep again, they shout, and I woke up! haix.. but thank goodness korea didnt score more than 2 goals, or else, I whole nite dun need to sleep liaox!
Then today's drill at SAFTI was quite long though.. It ended like at 1730.. becos we have countless full sequence runs, and all the minor minor stuff lah.. Then today they did another sizing.. and I was like a bit sad lah.. becos last time, Russel and Samuel stand beside me (one on left, and another on rite).. so somewhat, becos its my base ppl, therefore when we do drill together, it is better lah! I dun koe why I feel so comfortable doing drill beside them!
And today's sizing, somehow split all of us apart.. super sianx loh.. though I may look like very sociable with other base ppl, but then this is not really good lah!.. I feel so out of place loh!.. Not only I say this.. even the reserve marker (3SG Wenjie frm my base) also said tat without Russel like very sianx do drill.. haix..
Then drill ended and by the time we bk out, its abt 1915.. and all thanx to boon sen who successfully tricked and cheated me to take cab! but also, partly is becos I want to go home early to catch Singapore Idol and also to have my dinner becos I'm super hungry lah!
Reached home, had dinner and a good chat with my parents becos they juz came back frm church camp.. so ya.. watched a bit of TV and at 2230, came online and blog and chat..
Oh.. Off tml.. Yeh! So 2nite can sleep late and tml sleep in =).. yeh!! But tml nite need to be back though! =(.. becos Friday got SAF rehearsal at SAFTI again.. so ya..

GSS, here I come!!
Well.. my Sunday started with my parents went to Church Camp in Malaysia, and therefore, its only left with my sis and me at home.. Another episode of home alone ya..
Anyway, after having breakfast, I ironed my uniform (becos I need it today) and also usually, its my dad who irons my uniform, therefore, since he went for church camp, I actually have to do everything myself, including the laundry!
Then went online, and an unexpected event took place.. My bro, Andrew and me were online and then he was also sianx, becos his parents were at church camp too, so as a result, he was also all alone..
Then we juz chat, and then we ask each other wat are our plans for the day.. I told him mine, which is want to go out but no kakki.. then he suddenly say he dun mind going out with me.. so ya..
Was delighted of course.. bathe and got out of the house.. and only to koe tat it rained heavily, but tat did not stop me frm going out.. so ya.. but was late as a result though.. haix.. So to compensate him, I treat him dinner lah.. so ya..

Then we were like walking, and then we saw the shoe (above photo).. First I thought it was a women shoe, so I ask the shop salesperson whether they got similar shoes but for men.. to my surprise, they told me tat its men shoes.. so then I ask them whether got my size.. then they say dun have.. they call and ask but to no avail.. moreover, yesterday was weekend, so naturally, the shops wont like pick up the call loh!.. haix.. But there was a green colour (think of Kermit the frog colour).. its like my kind of colour lah, but then again, very hard to match with clothing.. so therefore, determine tat if I wld get the shoe, it wld be the colour above..
Then we practically walked to every single store in Orchard to find the shoe, but all tell me tat they dun have the size.. then we decide to go to Suntec's Royal Sporting House instead to check out whether have or not.. true enuf, when I went there, they have the size, but its the LAST pair.. then I went over to Adidas to check out whether they have the shoe but bigger size.. but they dun have.. but I saw one guy who don the shoes tat I wanted to buy (the green one tat is), and it looks not bad lah! Then when I went back to Royal Sporting House, I was like considering lah whether to get the one shown in the photo above or the green.. Then after a long while, I felt tat I shld take the colour in the photo above, so tat my shopping is justified lah!.. so ya..
After talking so much, have not told u the price yet.. original is $59, but got 15% discount, so they are selling at $50.15. Quite a steal rite? Judging frm its Adidas brand, so its quite reasonable liaox.. at Adidas shop, they no discount somemore loh.. so ya..
Then I treated Andrew to Carl's Jr, becos he said he was angry.. I wanted to treat him Kushinbo, but then realised I not enuf money.. so treated him Carl's Jr loh! At least better than nothing.. he wanted to pay $5, but after thinking for a while, I feel its not rite for me to take his $5 since I agreed to treat him loh.. so ya.. we ate lah.. and for the FIRST time yesterday, I ate the fish burger in Carl's Jr and I tell you.. its even better than the single/double western bacon burger.. The tartar sauce in the fish burger is marvelous.. even better than MacDonald's! Its really tartar lah! Got a bit of sourish taste! Juz the way I like it =).. I then ask for more tartar to like dip the fries.. Andrew eat it and he also said nice =).. so ya.. Oh.. I changed my fries to fried zuchinni (which is simply jap cucumbers).. quite nice initially but as u eat more, it gets boring and sick, becos its like very mushy when u bite into it.. so eat a lot, a bit jalat lah!.. so ya..
After tat, came home and then change and rush into cab and go back camp with boon sen, becos today got SAF Day rehearsal mahx.. Moreover, got our No. 1 to bring somemore.. sianx..
Today's drill not too bad.. morale quite high, becos weather was good (though its like hot at times lah!) and not much scolding.. so ya..
Then came home, do the necessary household chores again and then blog loh! Gonna wake up super early (5am) tml, becos tml by 0650 need to bk in for CO's Parade..

Anyway, after having breakfast, I ironed my uniform (becos I need it today) and also usually, its my dad who irons my uniform, therefore, since he went for church camp, I actually have to do everything myself, including the laundry!
Then went online, and an unexpected event took place.. My bro, Andrew and me were online and then he was also sianx, becos his parents were at church camp too, so as a result, he was also all alone..
Then we juz chat, and then we ask each other wat are our plans for the day.. I told him mine, which is want to go out but no kakki.. then he suddenly say he dun mind going out with me.. so ya..
Was delighted of course.. bathe and got out of the house.. and only to koe tat it rained heavily, but tat did not stop me frm going out.. so ya.. but was late as a result though.. haix.. So to compensate him, I treat him dinner lah.. so ya..

First I thought it was a women shoe, so I ask the shop salesperson whether they got similar shoes but for men.. to my surprise, they told me tat its men shoes.. so then I ask them whether got my size.. then they say dun have.. they call and ask but to no avail.. moreover, yesterday was weekend, so naturally, the shops wont like pick up the call loh!.. haix.. But there was a green colour (think of Kermit the frog colour).. its like my kind of colour lah, but then again, very hard to match with clothing.. so therefore, determine tat if I wld get the shoe, it wld be the colour above..

Morale rock bottom low!
Well yes.. My morale at NDP Rehearsal was super low, becos my GOH contingent kenna aim so many times.. haix.. here are the details lah..
This morning as usual, though I slept like at 0130 last nite, but when I woke up at 0530 this morning, I felt so awake.. ate breakfast and off I went to camp to bk in! Slept for a while in bunk before we are to leave base for National Stadium..
Initially, the rehearsal was so so, but as the hours pass by, the drill standards juz got worst! Initially, when my RSM did the warmup for the 4 GOH Contingents, it was like cloudy liaox.. then when we are about to be warmed up, rain started to pour and we still carry on the rehearsal (ie, feiu de jour and all!).. then it started to pour heavier, and therefore, we rested like for abt 30 mins, and the rain actually subsided!
Then once its subsided, we were back on track, and we are to be ready for our first run thru.. As usual, all 4 GOH contingents did not really satisfy the standards.. so kenna told off by the Parade RSM (usually he not so garang, but I think he does this is becos the EXCO Chairman was present)..
Then we went out and came in again.. and guess wat! All 3 other contingents no problem, except Air Force.. fwah! I tell you.. it was super embarassing lah.. imagine there is the Parade RSM telling everyone in the stadium that Air Force marching was horrible (juz last wk, they praised Air Force GOH the best becos our marching was the best!).. and this wk its like tat... I tell you.. at tat time, I dun really koe where to put my face lah! Morale of doing the drill immediately dropped!
Then the other RSM (who is one of the base's RSM and he is also in charge of us) got so fed up that he told us off and made us not to have a 1 hr break.. its juz practice, practice and more practice! This time, my morale has dropped to super low liaox!
And thank goodness my team did quite well (becos we practice most of wheeling and marching), and we get about 5 mins break to eat our refreshments and stuff, before its again going into the stadium for a full run..
But wat we didnt koe is tat the full run means FULL run (ie, go according to the time.. and its so long la! Juz by doing the parade is abt 1 hr liaox! and before tat we did not have a break, so its shiong lah!
And again, though it improves a bit on my side, but apparently the same thing happen elsewhere.. but this time, kenna feedback from my RSM.. as in whether upper management got say anything, we do not koe!
Then my shoe inside is all soaking wet, becos the field was muddy.. and also as a result, my uniform got soiled as well lah.. usual!
All the way back frm Stadium to camp, I was quite moody.. becos morale super low loh! haix..
Then came back to bunk.. change and joined yizhou, weiming, hock soon, and boon sen in eating dinner at KFC Northpoint.. then came home by mrt lah! but thank goodness tat my morale of eating KFC was back to normal, becos I think I was craving for KFC lah!
Then came home and wash clothings.. and now blog loh.. going to sleep soon! Super shack lah!
So will cya tml ya.. =)

What an experience!
Fwah! I tell you.. having mounting --> dismount --> rehearsals --> mounting --> dismount --> rehearsals, is super tiring lah! The other shifts though they are mounting duty every alternate day, they at least get to standby and they therefore do nothing (ie, they can sleep in bunk most of the day), but we dun have a standby at all lah! Its like we dismount then nxt day we go rehearsals loh.. super tiring..
Anyway, yesterday's mounting was a bit shiong, but at the same time, still maintain my 12 hr duty lah.. so not too bad.. but the timing of duty was a bit of a bad, becos of the lack of ppl (2 ppl was absent) and a whole lot of other factors..
As usual, I got dismounting table duty but then it starts at 0300 instead of 0500, becos of the lack of ppl (as stated above).. so ya.. I did table from 0300 till 0500, and someone took over, whilst I sleep frm like 0515-0545 (why only 30 min? Becos my friend, Mingjun, has asked me whether its possible tat I help him do his flag-raising, becos my dismounting duty is table whilst his is checker.. so ya.. I agreed lah, though it was like a bit of tiring.. but oh well.. guess its good to help ppl at times.. then Mingjun was like kept thanking me the whole day.. I think he said like 7-8 times thank you liaox.. he was filled with much gratefulness lah, but sometimes he said so many times "thank you" (though I ask him not to do so) gets a bit irritating.. haix..
Then one of my sgts, 2SG Zhiwen, koe of my helping him to do flag-raising, actually like not very happy, but I told him tat nvm.. I will help.. its ok..
Then after my duty at 0500, I slept until 0545.. woke up and then do flag raising.. after tat, its me going to logic to clear all the flies and other stuff (becos the person who is doing it cant be bothered to do it lah, so if they dun do and I dun do, then my OC see, I wld kenna scolded, becos I'm the one doing duty at tat time and not him!), becos this morning my base has 100% incoming checks.. so ya.. and by the time I cleared the flies and all, it was time for me to like takeover liaox.. so ya.. Then do duty till 1000, becos the ppl tat came down to help out my shift in the 100% incoming, has not drawn their rifles lah.. so ya..
Anyway, came home by bus.. then hoping tat I wld get my camera (IXUS 60) soon.. today in fact.. but then, another shocking episode happened.. here it is..
I called the shop yesterday and juz ask for fun whether I can collect the camera yesterday (originally on the receipt, it states tat I can collect it yesterday..), but the person [lets call him Jo] told me tat the stock is in Singapore already, but have to be cleared by Customs, so he suggested I call the shop back after 1400 today to see whether it was ready..
Then I called them at 1530, and Jo picked up the call, and said tat it is cleared by Customs already, but the supplier has not bring the cameras to his shop.. so he called me to call again after 1730 to check the status..
This time I got a bit pissed off.. so I gave some grace period, and called the shop at 1745. And guess wat.. Jo is not in the shop, and another lady has picked up the phone and attended to me.. I ask her whether the camera is ready for collection.. and she told me tat the stock is not here yet, and then she ask frm my hp and sales invoice no. and therefore I gave it to her and she agreed to call me at 1815, after clarifying with Jo becos he need to call him.
And at 1830, she still have not call back.. so I called back the shop again.. this time, another guy picked up the call and I asked for Jo and he replied Jo went out for delivery. I then asked him whether the camera stock is here.. He then told me the following:
"Oh sir.. we have given out all the cameras to customers already. So therefore the stock is not here yet."
Fwah! I tell you.. when I heard tat, I was super angry and was abt to explode liaox.. here is wat I answered tat guy on the phone..
"What you mean by given out all the cameras to customers? Do you mean tat I have to wait again? *cont with the whole long story of wat Jo told me abt the Customs, etc..* Today is actually the only free day tat I can collect my camera, becos nxt wk I not free.. so in tat case if you have given out all the cameras and I have to wait, then I tell you wat.. I wld think tat its only fair tat I wld rather give u all back the freebies tat u gave me during the PC Show, and then, you give me back the full amt ($599) tat I paid at the show!"
Then the guy juz kept quiet becos I think he sensed my anger lah.. becos at one stage, I actually asked for Jo's HP no. to like clarify it with him, becos different ppl who picked up the call actually told me different stories.. so ya.. but in the end, he didnt gave me, and he helped me call before he got hold of me at the stated time tat he gave me.. so at least he kept his promise.. He said he wld call me (after checking out with Jo) at 1915, and at abt 1920 he called.. so ya..
The call thankfully was good news! He told me tat my camera is ready for collection.. finally! So I took a cab down to Funan and take loh.. the cab driver was hectic sia! He machiam like speed and at traffic lights, he muz stop then he like give the pissed off look.. haix..
Then I went up to the shop and settled all the stuff, but wat I'm puzzled is the warranty issue.. they say they wld send the warranty for me to Canon, and then they wait for Canon to send back to them, then they send back the warranty to me.. a bit the weird, but nvm.. I count liaox frm today.. at the last day of this mth, they muz send back the warranty to me, or else, I wld make noise again!! *evil grinz*
Then I surf the net and came across this webbie.. click here.. Look at the first product, "Carbonated Kiwi And Cherry Tea".. this is the product tat I did for one of my modules, Product Development & Marketing, during my final yr in my Diploma in Applied Food Science & Nutrition (Major in Food Technology) course in Temasek Polytechnic.. And I think becos of this, I was awarded the BEST STUDENT award for "Product Development & Marketing" and got a $200 cash frm Malaysia Dairy Industries (which manufactures products like Marigold).. so ya... impressive huh =)
Then I went to my attached company webbie and see whether got any job offers for me.. And to my surprise, I saw a job application (which is the post of Food Technologist) which really appeals to me lah! So I wrote an email to the HR (which in charge of my attachment) as to whether they got any vacancies or am I suitable to apply and stuff.. so ya.. awaiting her reply lah.. Pray for me in this area ya? If its God's Will, then pray tat doors wld be open and stuff.. Thanx =)..
Currently chatting with my poly classmate, becos she is working as a permanent stuff in my attached company, so trying to find out some info frm her since she has been there for 2 yrs liaox.. so ya..

Another drill day!
Today rehearsal was rather ok.. except tat this morning I woke up in bunk with a bit of reluctance! The weather was so perfect to sleep in lah.. its cold and cozy.. Oh man! I juz miss tat weather lah!
But still, after much resistance and determination, I woke up and brush my teeth and stuff lah.. Then went to Cookhouse and ate breakfast!
Didnt really sleep on the bus.. my mind was still active whilst I juz close my eyes.. or some ppl wld say tat they are a "resting their eyes"..
Then its rehearsal at SAFTI Military Institute for SAF Day.. it was somewhat humid.. and juz standing under the sun for like 10 mins, and you wld see my uniform is half wet lah! And it doesnt help tat I perspire easily.. so ya..
Then lunch time came, and becos my base admin IC was not there, therefore, my sgt appointed 5 of us (me, boon sen, kok wei, yizhou and samuel) to go take ration.. but wat I didnt koe is tat I have to be the one in charge of signing out the ration pkts.. so in this case, if anything lost or wat, I have to like pay for it lah.. so ya..
Then its like a bit weird.. when I went there with water and stuff, boon sen and kok wei juz leave the food there and no one seems to take.. so me being so *ahem* initiative, I juz shouted, "Air Force come and take your lunch!".. then u see ppl start coming down.. Then wats worse is tat one of them is actually having a vegetarian ration, so becos I was like the one in charge of ration at tat time, therefore, I feel very much obliged to like go and take a vegetarian ration for him loh.. Thank God tat they actually have a vegetarian ration, or else, I wld feel so dead lah, becos tat guy say if dun have vege ration, he wld not eat.. so ya.. scary rite.. so ya..
Juz as I finish discharging my duty (as in give out the rations), its time for me to eat.. and juz as I sit, I juz perspire lah! Tat is how hot the weather is!
Rehearsal juz went by as usual lah.. and soon it was time to bk out, but my officer has this sudden craziness to made us stand by bunk and not only he check the cleanliness loh.. he made us do like wat we did in BMT lohx! Gosh!! I admit I got a bit fed up with him, becos its like 5.15pm and he still drag our bk out time.. Moreover, we tml have to mount duty.. so ya.. so dragging our bk out time is like killing us lah! haix.. but thank God its soon over lah!
Then came home and sat bus 169 home which was fully packed, so it was a bit uncomfortable.. and I did a good deed today on the bus (which was I'm giving up my seat to let an elderly man sit, but he insisted tat he dun want to.. At first I thought he was hard of hearing or dun understand Mandarin, and instead, I spoke a bit of basic Teochew to him loh! The content is juz like ask him to seat!).. so ya..
Anyway, manage to came home and ate dinner.. watch Singapore Idol (and I tell you, Jasmine Tye is HOT!.. the sweet type of gal I like.. wahaha.. oops...).. ok lah.. I've got to end my blog here, becos I want to watch Incredible Tales 2 later on Channel 5 at 2200, and then its me back to my bed and sleep for tml's mounting..
I dun koe how to survive tml mounting sia! I feel so tired liaox.. haix.. Oh.. but at least I've got something to look forward to, becos Friday I'm collecting my IXUS 60 camera =)..

But still, after much resistance and determination, I woke up and brush my teeth and stuff lah.. Then went to Cookhouse and ate breakfast!
Didnt really sleep on the bus.. my mind was still active whilst I juz close my eyes.. or some ppl wld say tat they are a "resting their eyes"..
Then its rehearsal at SAFTI Military Institute for SAF Day.. it was somewhat humid.. and juz standing under the sun for like 10 mins, and you wld see my uniform is half wet lah! And it doesnt help tat I perspire easily.. so ya..
Then lunch time came, and becos my base admin IC was not there, therefore, my sgt appointed 5 of us (me, boon sen, kok wei, yizhou and samuel) to go take ration.. but wat I didnt koe is tat I have to be the one in charge of signing out the ration pkts.. so in this case, if anything lost or wat, I have to like pay for it lah.. so ya..

Fun, fun and more fun!! =)

A Great Sunday!!
The day started with me like waking up at 0900, becos my mum was like waking me to tell me to get ready becos she wants my sis and me join my mum and dad church friend for lunch at Kuishinbo Japanese Buffet Restaurant at Suntec City.
So there I bathe and then my sis, mum and myself took a cab to Suntec to eat lunch loh! And there I saw Carlise and my 3 church bros (Nat, Ash & Andrew).. Man!! Its been a LOOONNGGG while since I seen my 3 church bros liaox =)..
Anyway, the spread at the buffet restaurant was quite of the power! The spread there was quite amazing! You have almost a full spread of Japanese food lahx! I had food like sashimi, prawns, crab, mussels, miso soup, meat teppanyaki, tempura, fried tofu, chicken wings, yakitori, chocolate fondue via the chocolate fountain, konniyaku jelly, chocolate moose, mango pudding, lots of free flow of drinks, sushi, etc.. Didnt really eat the full spread, becos I was too full liaox! I started like eating at abt 1200 and I only stop eating at 0215! Can u imagine how big the spread is? =).. Quite worth it lah! One adult lunch only costs $25.80++.. so ya.. have a hearty lunch!
After which, I went to Arcade with Nat, Ash & Andrew.. didnt play.. see them play.. I dun really like arcade lah, becos its like I find a bit waste of money, no doubt the thrill is there.. perhaps I'm overaged liaox..
After we are done, we agree to go to the PC Show at Suntec (its the last time tats why!).. Anyway, by the time they are done, its abt 1600 liaox, and Nat had to be home by 1700 for dinner.. so Andrew accompanied Nat home lah.. whilst Ash & me went to the PC Show! And man oh man.. the place is juz so freaking crowded lah.. and ain't I'm tempted sia! And I actually gave into temptation, and bought a digicam to replace my Powershot A400 at the Canon booth, after 10 mins of squeezing thru sardines of ppl!.. below is more explanation of it..

I got this camera at a budget cost of $599 at the PC Show! Moreover, I got free 2 pcs of 512mb SD Card (which I request for 1GB rather than 2pcs of 512mb), a camera cleaning kit, a camera screen protector, a original leather IXUS camera case and a USB SD card reader.. But the disadvantage is tat I can only collect the camera frm its main office (at Funan) frm Thurs (8/6) onwards, due to the shortage of stock! haix.. Going to collect it on Fri (9/6) instead, becos Thurs I got duty mahx.. sianx =(.. If you are interested in seeing the specifications of the camera, kindly go to Canon website and then go find IXUS 60.. ya? =)

This is my latest addition in my room!! Nice rite? This is actually a mini mp3 hi-fi system.. its a cd player cum radio loh! Not bad rite? This has also a special function! Its supposed to be mounted on the wall, but then I dun want to do so, becos spoil the wall mahx.. but imagine this is on the wall! Best lah!!
If u see carefully, the middle portion where I put my CD is transparent lah, so when I play the CD, you can see the disk moving =).. and the open/close of the cd cover is upwards.. sleek design! So contemporary! Juz the way I like it! =)
The original price for this is $199, but becos its the sales period, I got it only for $179.. great buy rite? And wat's best is tat I got a further $60 off, becos I got a $60 voucher frm the Pioneer Magazine Contest, which of course I won lah! Look out for my name at the last page of the magazine in this mth's magazine (June 2006).. so ya.. so in the end, I fork out another $119 for this radio.. so ya..
Actually I wanted to buy a cheaper radio, but they dun have much range lah.. so ya.. no choice.. this is the 2nd cheapest loh!
Haix.. wat a weekend rite? I actually spend on retail therapy alone, close to $800! Man! This is the first time I spend so much money!! Gosh.. Muz now save liaox.. hope I can resist my spending this mth lah, becos its the Great Singapore Sale lah!
Anyway, when at nite whilst having dinner, my bro, Sidney, called me and told me wat he bought for his cousins and stuff.. then I told him abt the camera and radio I bought loh.. and he said good choice.. in fact, the radio I bought was once on his fave list =).. So since I got the gadget freak who actually approves my spending, then I dun feel so bad liaox loh! =).. any of this gadget thing, I need to like go with Sidney lah.. this one he koes best =).. I can always count on him for sound advice! Thanx bro =)
Then came home and setup my radio and then rearrange my table to see the standard now u have in the picture, and by the time I bathe and sleep, it is 0100 liaox.. then nxt day (mon - 05/05) need to do duty..

Was on duty on this day! Duty was all right (I have an 8 hr sleep again! Thanx to 3SG Stanley who planned the detailing), except some minor cockups lah!.. can't really say, becos it maybe some sensitive info lah.. Hope ya understand ya =)..
Oh.. Yesterday got a call frm Mediacorp (YES! Mediacorp) and they told me tat I've won a "Hong Junyang CD Single" and told me the details of where to collect and stuff.. I was overjoyed lah! Becos I remembered tat my email for tat contest (who juz send in ur details with the correct answer they ask for tat qn) actually was like being rejected and was in my outbox (due to they told me tat it cannot be send.. dun koe why) lah! I dun koe how it got thru lah! It muz be God's grace or sumthing.. so ya.. =).. So I began to ask questions of how to get there and stuff among my friends lah.. in the end, my dad called me and told me the directions to get there by bus, becos I asked him to find out too!

A Trip To Mediacorp!!
Dismount today and actually wanted to go AMK and cut hair, but then after I came out of my bunk and book out, I then realised tat I did not bring out any money.. I was cashless the whole day yesterday! Wow!!
Then I called home and ask my mum to check it out and realised tat it is in my other wallet! =) So I have no choice but to go home and go my hse there and cut hair which actually costs $1 more! =(..
So I went home and then had lunch and then went to cut my hair! Quite satisfied actually.. short and neat! =)
Then bathe, and gel my hair a bit and there, I zoomed to Mediacorp.. And wat do you koe man! I actually had my Nokia 6280 with me, in the hope of seeing some Mediacorp stars and then I wld begin clicking away! But then, haix.. too bad.. didnt see any whilst my stay in Mediacorp lah! I actually want to take another shot, but then too many cars liaox coming into Mediacorp, so therefore, I didnt want to malu myself further lah! So I quickly take and proceed to the Mediacorp reception to collect my prize..

This is the screens of the Mediacorp reception! They have all channels lah shown on these screens! And the place was air-conditioned, so quite comfortable loh..
There was a bit of miscommunication before I collected my prize frm them lah! I went there and told them tat I came here under one of their receptionist's instructions to collect my Hong Junyang Single CD.. and this indian staff which served me dun koe what I'm talking abt! She asked me abt which dept and who called me! Like tat how I remember off hand? Moreover, I dun have my camp phone with me, so therefore, I cant remember the no. off hand! Anyway, I called home to ask my mum to change SIM card and check.. and in the end, after checking, the no. was not there..
So I went back to the counter and told her I cant find the no.. then luckily, I wrote down the details of wat the receptionist who called me told me.. and my main title was "Won Junyang CD".. and then when another receptionist sees it (this time, its a malay staff! She actually pronounce Junyang as June-yong.. I dun mean to laugh but whatever.. at least she managed to koe wat I'm talking abt and she apologised for the miscommunication lah! I muz say she's clever! =).. and also partly due to my writing of the title la =P..

He really signed it, though I did not see it, but I seen his signature before, and its exactly the same.. so ya.. so happy =)

If you see this photo carefully, you wld have realised tat I have droplets of water on my forehead! This is becos after I collected the CD, it was raining quite heavily, and I did not have an umbrella with me, therefore, I walk out juz like tat without any shelter lah! And I can safely say I was abt 50% wet liaox.. and when I reach the bus-stop, I cleaned off the water on my body, and at the same time, watch out for bus to go home! And since I nothing to do, I take photo loh! So ya..
Then bus 156 came instead of bus 166.. so I took bus 156 and then change to bus 135 at AMK industrial area, becos it was raining, or else I have to walk quite a distance! At least if I take bus 135, it wld stop in front of my house.. so ya..
This ends my Mediacorp journey! Interesting isn't it...
Oh.. then after which, I start to blog until now loh.. I think I spend like close to 2 hrs on this blogpost liaox, becos the photos u see here dun seem to cooperate.. they dun seem to upload properly.. so ya.. After abt 30 mins, finally solve the problem lah!
Juz then, my bro, Sidney, felt sianx and he called me and we chatted a bit.. muz entertain him mahx.. not nice for me to say I busy loh, and then put down the phone.. see.. I so good friend rite =).. anyway, we are good friends lah, so I dun really mind =)
Then after talking, its back to my blog.. and ya.. have blog for quite long liaox.. need to like go off liaox becos bkin in later for SAF rehearsal tml.. sianx! =(

Apparently, it appears to be like on the way to the lobby/reception of Mediacorp, but from the way I'm coming in, its like totally out of the way, and I am like want to take it becos I've never been to Mediacorp b4 mah.. so muz take.. This is actually my favourite photo for the day! This pose was really hard to get lah! Becos its like everywhere ppl coming.. the cars and stuff.. and there u see me actually standing the side of the Mediacorp trademark icon and posing in front of my phone and taking photo.. machiam look like a fool! So I muz actually chose the right moment then take and snap photo.. I actually want to take another shot, but then too many cars liaox coming into Mediacorp, so therefore, I didnt want to malu myself further lah! So I quickly take and proceed to the Mediacorp reception to collect my prize..

This is the screens of the Mediacorp reception! They have all channels lah shown on these screens! And the place was air-conditioned, so quite comfortable loh..
There was a bit of miscommunication before I collected my prize frm them lah! I went there and told them tat I came here under one of their receptionist's instructions to collect my Hong Junyang Single CD.. and this indian staff which served me dun koe what I'm talking abt! She asked me abt which dept and who called me! Like tat how I remember off hand? Moreover, I dun have my camp phone with me, so therefore, I cant remember the no. off hand! Anyway, I called home to ask my mum to change SIM card and check.. and in the end, after checking, the no. was not there..
So I went back to the counter and told her I cant find the no.. then luckily, I wrote down the details of wat the receptionist who called me told me.. and my main title was "Won Junyang CD".. and then when another receptionist sees it (this time, its a malay staff! She actually pronounce Junyang as June-yong.. I dun mean to laugh but whatever.. at least she managed to koe wat I'm talking abt and she apologised for the miscommunication lah! I muz say she's clever! =).. and also partly due to my writing of the title la =P..

This is my prize.. a Hong Junyang CD Single (Sha Sha De Shui) with his autograph of his name! How cool is tat rite =).. Mind you hor.. this is ORIGINAL! I did not fake it hor! He really signed it, though I did not see it, but I seen his signature before, and its exactly the same.. so ya.. so happy =)

If you see this photo carefully, you wld have realised tat I have droplets of water on my forehead! This is becos after I collected the CD, it was raining quite heavily, and I did not have an umbrella with me, therefore, I walk out juz like tat without any shelter lah! And I can safely say I was abt 50% wet liaox.. and when I reach the bus-stop, I cleaned off the water on my body, and at the same time, watch out for bus to go home! And since I nothing to do, I take photo loh! So ya..
Then bus 156 came instead of bus 166.. so I took bus 156 and then change to bus 135 at AMK industrial area, becos it was raining, or else I have to walk quite a distance! At least if I take bus 135, it wld stop in front of my house.. so ya..
This ends my Mediacorp journey! Interesting isn't it...
Oh.. then after which, I start to blog until now loh.. I think I spend like close to 2 hrs on this blogpost liaox, becos the photos u see here dun seem to cooperate.. they dun seem to upload properly.. so ya.. After abt 30 mins, finally solve the problem lah!
Juz then, my bro, Sidney, felt sianx and he called me and we chatted a bit.. muz entertain him mahx.. not nice for me to say I busy loh, and then put down the phone.. see.. I so good friend rite =).. anyway, we are good friends lah, so I dun really mind =)
Then after talking, its back to my blog.. and ya.. have blog for quite long liaox.. need to like go off liaox becos bkin in later for SAF rehearsal tml.. sianx! =(

I've changed!
Yes! My skin colour has changed! After 4 parades, I'm now like super tanned and at times, I start to "glow" and my face becomes red!
Had another 2 consecutive days of drills and now my face is really fully tanned and red parts at certain regions of my face! Its darn ugly lah! Gosh! Moreover, I have somewhat a skin irritation at my cheeks area, and now its becoming red due to the heat/sunburnt and now, my cheeks look like some baboon's butt cheeks! haix.. =(
Yesterday's SAF Day Rehearsal was all right, except tat I kept on get scolded by my RSM for not marching properly (which in fact I actually tried to, but then he said I did not.. oh well.. in the eyes of drills, my RSM is always right..).. so I got pushed back to the second row rather than the first! And my original position was actually in the second row but becos they guy in front of me was on 10C, therefore, I took over his place and another guy was juz behind me.. So when my RSM came to tell me to go behind and the nxt one come forward, tat guy got shocked lah! He was like very reluctant at first, but he did follow the instructions in the end! In fact, being in the front has both pros and cons; the advantage is tat u get more coverage and its an honour to stand in front.. but the disadvantages far outweighs the pros.. and tat is you need to really pay 101% concentration on the commands given becos one wrong step and tats it.. you wld like kenna scolded jialat jialat frm the RSMs.. and another disadvantage is tat your drills are expected to be more or less tip top becos you somewhat represent the whole contingent.. so ya.. so being in the front row u see is not easy lah! Tats why everytime I'm in the front row, I get so stressed up! So actually come to think of it, being at the second row is not as bad after all! =)
Then after yesterday's drill, went back to camp and gosh! I tell you.. the bus machiam is like oven lah! I'm actually perspiring rather than cooling down lah!
Then its me to Cookhouse for dinner whilst my other bunk friends cum P1 mates (I was on P1 yesterday and so were they!) went to Specialist Mess to buy their dinner! Didnt join them becos I'm starting to be broke liaox!!
Anyway, I feel like ranting abt 2 things abt my bunk mates cum P1 mates whom I've kept silent all these while but then I cannot take it liaox.. so ya.. so this is my blog and I feel I muz rant it out lah!
You all koe me la.. I'm actually quite particular with cleanliness in my bunk and also sometimes, a bit of untidiness wld juz spark a little bit of irritation in me la.. If I'm very tired on tat day, then sumthing little wld juz spark my anger la.. Like my bed buddy who actually like put his dirty clothing on my bed frame and sumtimes becos I want to sleep, I juz like muz help him put his clothing elsewhere and its irritating lah!.. Sometimes I get also sick and tired to tell him..
Then worse still.. Yesterday one of my bunk mate actually after eat his dinner, he did throw his rubbish in the bin in the bunk, but there are a few other ppl who ate also and did not throw.. They juz leave it in the plastic bag and leave it there..
Wonder who they expect wld throw for them sia!.. Then I ask tat bunk mate (who threw his pkt into the bin) to help the others to throw.. He refused.. At first I tot he is joking, but then he stay there dun move means dun move. I got so pissed off and juz like showed my temper loh.. He accuses me tat why muz I do wat I command him to do! Pls loh!! This is not command but I did talk to him properly lah but he did not comply.. I juz like did it and then storm out of the room and then go to the toilet to wash my hand and at the same time to cool off.. Arghh.. Just by talking abt this matter makes my blood boil..
Ok.. enuf of ranting and back to my blog.. thanx 4 enduring =)..
Becos yesterday was P1 for me, therefore, I got the privilege to wake up late since falling in was at 0900. So I woke up like at 0730 and then wash up and stuff and had 1 pkt of instant noodles and 1 bowl of cup noodles.. the reason why I eat so much is to like not make myself hungry becos I koe I wld get hungry easily if I dun do so.. drills/rehearsals mah! Wat do you expect..
Anyway, rehearsals was fairly simple.. its more of juz sequence runs and not really component training! Did 5 rounds all in all lah.. had a good lunch (courtesy of Siam Kitchen Restaurant - its catered food ppl!).. and my friend told me he got the morale to do drills liaox, becos he had a good lunch mah! I was like -_-||| I told him this.. "you so easily satisfied ah?".. ha..
Then along the way (ie, at breaks and stuff), saw some familiar faces, namely my cousin, Sherwyn and my sec sch Choir member, Yu Ming.. But I did not call out to them, juz in case I got the wrong person lah! So ya.. Also saw Ryan quite a few occasions (twice actually), but I saw him at the wrong time sia! Its always when I'm abt to go in for sequence run then I saw him.. haix..
Rehearsals was all rite.. most of the time, Air Force GOH (which I'm in lah!).. out of 5 rehearsals, we got 4 times on the spot, so consider it not bad liaox!
At breaks, some other ppl frm other bases among my region actually cracked some jokes and since I was there, I listen lah.. no harm listening rite.. and of course, I did laugh until my tummy hurt lah..lah.. will not want to like blog here or else u wld be bored liaox loh!
Then at 1630, the drills ended and its time to be back to base.. the bus was comfortable becos it was SBS bus mah! so ya.. then, its me doing the armskote since no one did it loh! haix.. I quite sway lah.. everytime I see no one want to do armskote, I get vexed becos ppl is like stand there do nothing, esp. an ex-member of my P1 group.. he ah.. everytime sit there keep quiet and dun bother to like do armskote.. worse still.. he dun even volunteer lah.. he juz stay there and wait there like a fool, and hoping tat other ppl wld do armskote! I juz cant stand these kind of ppl lah!! Dun koe how to auto!! I think in my whole SBAB life, I only see him like do armskote like less than 5 times lah! I can safely say tat for our coming duty on mon, he wld do the same.. juz stand there.. and you koe wats even worse? The sgts dun call him to do! WTH rite? arghh... I juz hope he wld change lah, becos for now, he koe of a fact tat he has becoming a condemned personnel since an incident happened! And if he continues to be like this, he ah.. wld be condemned by me too! So he better change! or else.. *evil grin*
And again, I got like somewhat trick and psycho by Boon Sen to take cab! He actually waited for me to bathe finish, despite me being late in coming up and bathe somemore.. like tat, how I reject? ppl wait for me lehx.. haix.. despicable trick! =(.. but anyway, the fare was expensive lah.. becos we have to pay $3.50 ($2.50 for call surcharge and $1 peak hour surcharge) on top of the normal fare.. and becos it was jammed at CTE (which I always come home from, the uncle got to another route and in the end, the fare was $14.30, but he said $14 can liaox, but he seem to give me more than $1 change - gave him $15 - like $1.25 change lah! best rite the uncle =)..
Then came home and actually wanted to go meet Tjow they all to celebrate Nat's brithday but was too tired to even step out of the hse.. though I had to go downstairs and buy dinner myself.. so ya..
After tat, its watching a bit of TV and to my computer and blog this blogpost loh =).. ya..
Tml is gonna be another day.. Gonna go to the PC Show with my bro, Sidney =).. so I shall blog more abt tml ya =)

I must survive!
Well! Its really a miracle to be alive lah! After 2 consecutive parades on 2 consecutive days were juz proving a little too taxing on my mental strength actually.. Today at NDP rehearsal @ Nee Soon, I felt the mental stress of my mind is like coming up to 40%-50%..
Yesterday's SAF Parade rehearsal I feel was not as taxing as last year, becos this year is like cut short a lot of things and instead of 1.5 hrs which we did last yr, this yr's parade is only abt an hour long (so if you are smart enuf to count, you wld have realised tat its abt 30 minutes cut of the parade, and I tell you.. this is considered very long liaox! 1 minute makes all the difference and not to mention 30 minutes! ha..)
The Parade was quite standard lah, becos the arm and foot drills are 98% similar to the NDP ones, so since we have done it like for abt a mth or 2, it shld not be a lot of problem! Occasionally, I get moved to the front due to sometimes the person in front of me fall out, and when this is so, I suddenly get nervous and sometimes unable to concentrate, becos of the tremendous amount of stress!.. Y izzit stressful you may ask? This is becos all the 4 RSM's and not to mention tat other contingents RSMs, the Parade RSM himself as well as the SAF RSM is also watching the contingentd performing their drills.. though its not very prominent, but by being in the front row means nothing but your drills muz be very 'zai' (which simply means perfect!).. so ya.. so you all koe me lah.. a little bit of things such as this puts me in a very stressful situation and the way to get out of it is to concentrate more than 100% and do all drills perfect! No shortcuts allowed!
Initially, I was also instructed by 1WO Seah of Changi Air Base (CAB) FDS RSM to take the place of the right contingent marker (juz behind a 3SG) becos the person who is doing so is a reserve frm CAB FDS and he is taking over a person who is unwell.. but 1WO Seah kept coming to my side and like say him tat he got the height so perhaps he shld stay instead!
Then I replied to 1WO Seah, "Yes Sir.. he very zai.. he shld stay!"
1WO Seah answered, "you see.. die lah! other base ppl also like you.. *grinz*"
So we shall see whether tml he wld be here.. if he is not here, then I have to be the right marker, and if this is so, then I even more stress! Haix.. let's juz see how it goes lah huh.. =)
Yesterday's SAF drill ended at abt 3pm which was quite unexpected, becos we were expecting like 5+pm juz like last yr, but I guess they didnt want to tax us so much becos today got NDP rehearsal..
Anyway, when we came back frm SAF Day Rehearsal, I was totally shacked lah and slept in the bus.. then when came back to bunk, bathe and then went out with my bunk ppl to Northpoint and eat KFC for dinner.. Man.. wasnt I hungry! But after eating, I felt full liaox..
Came back to bunk and watch Singapore Idol lah! Missed out on the first 2 performance which was Terence's performance.. but nvm.. I recorded lah!.. so ya..
Slept like at abt 10.30pm after watching Incredible Tales 2.. My whole bunk also not sure wat time we muz fall in this morning to draw our rifles for our NDP rehearsal this morning, so we decided to wake up like at 6.45am, which actually ah, we are supposed to draw arms at 6.45am.. so ya.. was slightly late lah! haix.. in the end, didnt have breakfast but thank God for good friends like boon sen & samuel, who went to the canteen and bought for me 2 curry puffs for my breakfast.. I was so surprised tat they bought for me lah! Thanx ppl =).. you're the best! =)
Went to Nee Soon Camp and drank a pkt of soya milk.. best! then had rehearsals again.. but again, it had an unexpected finishing time.. by 10.45am, we are done with the rehearsals and we are to go back to our camps..
Then after which, we were back at camp and then we were instructed to clean our rifles and believe it or not.. I took 1.5 hrs to clean the rifle WITHOUT bathing and lunch.. for a mere gas regulator, I take 30-45 mins to clean it.. super xiong lah!
Then its waiting, waiting and more waiting for my OC to speak to us, but instead, its a wasted wait.. my officer talk to us instead..
Went to send our rifles after tat, and then I bathe and then originally there was supposed to be a bunk inspection (and its so last min lah.. all thanx to my officer).. then after which, they told us my OC want to meet us to talk.. we have no choice loh.. so ya.. to cut the long story short, my RSM talk also.. so originally, my OC gave us permission to bk out at 4pm, but by then after all the ppl talk, it become 4.30pm liaox! haix.. so not much of a difference loh!
Then came back home by bus and watched a bit of the taped Singapore Idol show last nite.. then its back to the computer to blog abt this blogpost! Going to watch the results show later, and see whether terence can get in loh! I hope =).. After which, its back to bunk again to bk in for tml's SAF Day Rehearsal..
Oh man.. I've got another 2 more parades this week.. SAF Rehearsal tml and NDP Rehearsal the day after (ie, Saturday) @ National Stadium.. gosh! haix.. tiring sia!
Then not to mention tat I will have my Sunday break and then its mount, dismount, rehearsal for the whole of nxt week..
Oh man! How am I gonna survive like tat? haix.. =(.. Just need to depend on God's strength I suppose =)
ok lah.. gtg and do other stuff liaox b4 I going to bk in later.. sianx..
Hope I dun suffer frm a mental breakdown, becos not only I'm starting to feel mentally exhausted, I'm also starting to feel physically exhausted too! =(

Yesterday's SAF drill ended at abt 3pm which was quite unexpected, becos we were expecting like 5+pm juz like last yr, but I guess they didnt want to tax us so much becos today got NDP rehearsal..
Anyway, when we came back frm SAF Day Rehearsal, I was totally shacked lah and slept in the bus.. then when came back to bunk, bathe and then went out with my bunk ppl to Northpoint and eat KFC for dinner.. Man.. wasnt I hungry! But after eating, I felt full liaox..
Came back to bunk and watch Singapore Idol lah! Missed out on the first 2 performance which was Terence's performance.. but nvm.. I recorded lah!.. so ya..
Slept like at abt 10.30pm after watching Incredible Tales 2.. My whole bunk also not sure wat time we muz fall in this morning to draw our rifles for our NDP rehearsal this morning, so we decided to wake up like at 6.45am, which actually ah, we are supposed to draw arms at 6.45am.. so ya.. was slightly late lah! haix.. in the end, didnt have breakfast but thank God for good friends like boon sen & samuel, who went to the canteen and bought for me 2 curry puffs for my breakfast.. I was so surprised tat they bought for me lah! Thanx ppl =).. you're the best! =)
Went to Nee Soon Camp and drank a pkt of soya milk.. best! then had rehearsals again.. but again, it had an unexpected finishing time.. by 10.45am, we are done with the rehearsals and we are to go back to our camps..
Then after which, we were back at camp and then we were instructed to clean our rifles and believe it or not.. I took 1.5 hrs to clean the rifle WITHOUT bathing and lunch.. for a mere gas regulator, I take 30-45 mins to clean it.. super xiong lah!
Then its waiting, waiting and more waiting for my OC to speak to us, but instead, its a wasted wait.. my officer talk to us instead..
Went to send our rifles after tat, and then I bathe and then originally there was supposed to be a bunk inspection (and its so last min lah.. all thanx to my officer).. then after which, they told us my OC want to meet us to talk.. we have no choice loh.. so ya.. to cut the long story short, my RSM talk also.. so originally, my OC gave us permission to bk out at 4pm, but by then after all the ppl talk, it become 4.30pm liaox! haix.. so not much of a difference loh!
Then came back home by bus and watched a bit of the taped Singapore Idol show last nite.. then its back to the computer to blog abt this blogpost! Going to watch the results show later, and see whether terence can get in loh! I hope =).. After which, its back to bunk again to bk in for tml's SAF Day Rehearsal..
Oh man.. I've got another 2 more parades this week.. SAF Rehearsal tml and NDP Rehearsal the day after (ie, Saturday) @ National Stadium.. gosh! haix.. tiring sia!
Then not to mention tat I will have my Sunday break and then its mount, dismount, rehearsal for the whole of nxt week..
Oh man! How am I gonna survive like tat? haix.. =(.. Just need to depend on God's strength I suppose =)
ok lah.. gtg and do other stuff liaox b4 I going to bk in later.. sianx..
Hope I dun suffer frm a mental breakdown, becos not only I'm starting to feel mentally exhausted, I'm also starting to feel physically exhausted too! =(
** I'm still counting down the days LEFT to serve.. its 139 DAYS to ORD!!
