Hey ppl! the main reason why I blog today for yesterday's church anniversary @ York Hotel was becos I was so so tired by the time I reach home.. so ya.. read on to koe my activites.. so ya.. =)

Woke up as usual yesterday.. then online for a while, before my bro, Andrew, said he wanted to meet me.. so I agreed.. so I took the bus and met him at Far East Plaza but of course, I was slightly late for the music practice lah.. becos cant blame me.. The bus was slow.. so ya..

Then I tell you.. I was really tired during the rehearsal.. dun koe why.. maybe I didnt have lunch or sumthing..

Then the service start at York Hotel and it was ok lah.. but the best part starts after the service.. its the food and fellowship.. and as usual, we, the Youths were playful.. and of course, I took some photos.. go to Photo Gallery > Church(OCC/HCC/GJ) Events > OCC 18th Anniversary @ York Hotel (21/10/06) Photos!.. its uploaded liaox..

Well, the pic you see on the left are 2 of my closest brothers (Ash & Andrew) in my church lah.. so ya.. Ash & Andrew both look like those typical Japanese schoolboys.. then of course, with my dressing, it was a bit of a "metro" feel.. ha.. Juz love the colour combination! =).. Pink top with white linen! Fwah! best!! =).. So ya.. took a photo with both of them loh.. we look so urban-ish? ha.. wats missing is a kawaii-neh pose! haha.. =P

Then this pic you see on the right here, is one work of Joshua Gouw! I'm gonna get ya for this! If you see carefully, he is despo enuf to play with my t*ts! hahax.. super cheeky Joshua! I'm gonna get ya for this.. and guess who took this photo! It was deborah! It was like I was expecting tat she wld be quite slow or not take this photo, but in the end, she took.. man.. she was fast! haha..
I know this picture looks a bit disgusting, but all in the name of fun mah! =) but seriously, its really pain lah! Try tat urself and u'll koe!
Yesterday was actually a very good photo opportunity since everyone was in a weird dress-do as well as everyone was happy and all.. so ya.. its been a long while since I've taken photos as well as enjoyed myself so much! =).. Yesterday's anniversary is one event which makes me so happy lah! =)

So after the Anniversary, the youths went on separate ways.. and I was suppose to follow Ash & Andrew to go and watch "The Prestidge", but somehow there was a bit of miscommunication, and in the end, I followed Tjow, Claudia, Catherine, Ryan, Deborah & Alvin to Vivocity.. and man oh man! It was a huge mall! I think I wld take quite a while to finish shopping the whole mall.. But the open deck was very nice.. you shld go there and experience yourself to koe wat I mean.. but if you mind the smell frm the ventilator/roof ducts from the kitchen of fast food joints and stuff, then I suggest you dun visit it, becos the smell is strong lah! But the place is super nice.. so ya.. =)

So we walked at Vivocity, but sadly still have not shop finish! I'm actually aiming for an Adidas sweater.. so ya.. its $119 leh!.. so ya.. muz save loh to buy it.. so anyone of you out there wanna buy a early Christmas present for me? haha.. *hint hint*..

We ended off the nite with intentions to go to East Coast for supper (and tat was abt 2300 liaox!), but then Claudia and her baby was tired.. so ya.. so in the end, didnt go, and Tjow and Ryan gave the rest of us to go to Tiong Bahru Plaza MacDonald's to meet our parents.. then guess wat.. I saw Ash & Andrew.. with Tash and Jon.. then I was like I tot tat they went to hannah's hse and then still come.. but then Ash told me tat Hannah's mum didnt allow, so they went to watch the movie.. so ya.. haix.. bo jio.. but anyway, heard the movie is those thinking kind, so I didn't want to waste my money to watch a movie which muz think one.. I tat lazy hor..

So by the time reach home, its abt 0030 liaox.. I bathe and then Tjow was like wanting me to send him the photos I took at the Anniversary, becos I think he got a deadline to meet or sumthing.. so after I was done and want to turn in for the nite, it was already 0300.. haix..

Ok lah.. gtg liaox.. got to get out of the hse to see my grandma and after which, spend some family time together.. so ya.. =)

My actual job starts today!

First and foremost, I have to clarify things tat this blog is supposed to be yesterday's (20/10), however, by the time I come home and want to blog, its over midnight liaox.. so ya.. and automatically, it changes the date.. so ya.. so dun be confused ya.. =)

Anyway, today's job is like the thing which I really started my job proper.. with my supervising duties and all.. I was very scared initially, becos you imagine a *ahem* small boy of only 22 yrs old, telling/commanding someone who is either is only a few yrs older then me but got quite a number of experience, or someone who is really much much older than me.. and I really mean 20-30 yrs difference in age! So ya..
(This sounds so much like the dilemma of a NSF officer telling a warrant officer what to do!) <-- why am I comparing it to SAF again? haix..

So I was partly like cannot stay at office the whole day, becos I think my boss expects me to like be on the production floor most of the time, unless there are paperwork to be done.. so ya.. So tats wat I did..
The initial telling/commanding was a bit awkward, but after a while, I got used to it liaox.. But of course, its not in a rude way.. its more like friend friend like tat.. so ya..

Then after checking and the production closes for the day, guess wat! I have to do OT again.. becos there are some paperwork for me to do.. so ya.. checking records lah.. and for the first time, I'm checking it so carefully, becos I'm respobnsible for them, as it bears my signature on the paper.. so once I sign, its considered ok and if anything goes wrong, they would look for me.. so ya..
Anyway, my Malay colleague is on Hari Raya leave, so guess wat.. I have to cover his duties.. including his checking of records.. and ha.. I managed to spot 3 mistake (on different documents) which he apparently approved.. but anyway, its not confirm tat its a mistake.. I have to check out with the workers on Monday (22/10).. so ya..

So ya.. tat was my day at work lah.. its not as tiring as when at the first day of work (Thurs - 19/10).. so ya.. probably I had enuf sleep bah.. so ya.. but the records checking really make my head spin and eyes super tired and heavy.. so ya.. but no choice.. this is my job.. so ya..
And finally today, I finally understand why do I have to read so much on the first day at work (19/10), becos I think my boss wants me to like be able to do the job independently as soon as possible, becos he is very busy himself as well.. so ya.. so tat explains why he called me to check the records all by myself and if anything I dun koe, ask him and stuff.. and clarify with him if necessary..

Then at 1830, I asked my boss if he has anything for me to do, becos I told him tat if he have nothing for me to do, then I have to go becos I got an appt (its true tat I have appt mahx, becos going to Nat's hse to bake the cookies).. so ya.. and thank God, he let me go lah..

So I took a bus and mrt to Nat's hse.. and of course, I got lost and stop the wrong bus-stop.. and in the end, I have to like walk another 1km or so to his hse.. so ya.. Had Mac for dinner loh.. so as I walk, I ate my dinner.. haha..
But they were so fast.. by the time I reached there, they are done and almost finish wrapping.. haha.. so ya.. but the cookies were world-best lah! Much much better than last yr, including the packing.. so ya.. =).. Thanx guys for your help in making this cooking-baking session possible.. and also, to my bro, Andrew, thanx 4 contacting so many ppl to come and help! I didnt expect tat many ppl turn up! haha.. =)

Then when we go back, I was telling Alvin the whole long story of wat happened at work and stuff.. and he also agreed with me tat my job really sounds like wat my sgt/officer do in NS.. so ya.. haix.. what a comparison.. =(

Ok lah.. I gtg and sleep liaox.. so tired.. believe it or not.. I'm typing this with my eyes half-closed! hahax.. need to wake up early tml becos got lots of stuff to complete and do, before I go for church anniversary at York Hotel later in the afternoon.. so ya.. tiring and busy day tml.. so ya..

A new chapter unfolds..

Yes ppl! I've started work today!! And thanx 4 all the well-wishes (to wish me all the best and stuff) from my friends and all.. Thanx! You all are greatly appreciated! =)

And many ppl who koe me asked how is my first day at work.. so I told them to refer to my blog, so I can assume tat today's blogpost wld be highly read! wahaha...

Anyway, wat I can abt my first day at work is 2 words.. Stress & information-overload! here are the details..

Woke up at 0530 and surprisingly, I was awake even though I had only 5 hrs of sleep last nite (my usual is 8 hrs!).. Bathe and stuff.. and by 0630, I was out of the hse.. guess wat! I reached my workplace at 0700, when my working hrs start at 0730!
(I was in a bus filled with PLAB regulars and NSFs, and u shld have seen how smug I was.. ha.. I felt like showing them my pink IC.. how evil am I rite.. whahaa)
So wat I did was to cross over and go to the coffee-shop to have a cup of teh-siu-dai (which is tea with less condensed milk) and juz relax a while.. At the same time, I was a bit frightened, as in I dun koe wat to expect and stuff..

So by 0725, I crossed back over to my workplace and called my superior (the acting assitant production manager).. so he met me and gave me an orientation.. I was like being passed to another person, and he worked in the company for 18 yrs liaox, and he is juz 1 post higher than me.. so ya.. so he brought me around and guess wat.. I saw 2 of my poly classmates, Shanshan & Aimei! haha.. wat a coincidence huh! =).. They were in different department frm me.. they are in QC lah, but work very close with my department too, so ya.. so sure meet up with each other often one.. ha.. so ya.. such a surprise..

Then the day went on, where I was being brought to the admin building to settle some administration matters on my pay and stuff.. and also had a chat with the HR manager, where she told me lots of things of how to perfom my duty well and stuff.. so ya..

Then after which, I went back to my building and got more briefing by my superior.. so ya.. after which, he passed me 2 files to read.. he wanted me to read on those articles which he helped me to bookmark, and mind u, tat was already 1300 and I have NOT had my lunch yet! But becos I dun want to like be impatient or sumthing, I waited till my superior like call me to go lunch with him, then I go.. by the time I eat my lunch, it was 1330.. so ya..
And I somehow regretted I had such a late lunch.. I think nxt time (in fact tml) I'm gonna have bee hoon for breakfast or sumthing, becos if this goes on (which I have only light breakfast at home), I wld juz faint or die of hunger lah!.. so ya..

Coincidentally, I had lunch at the SAME coffee shop where I had my kopi-siu-dai.. ha.. and I wanted to pay for my lunch, but my superior paid for me instead.. so sweet rite.. ha..

Then when go back, its somemore reading.. I initially tot tat I wld be able to knock off work at 1600 (which is my standard timing), but then, my superior told me tat becos I'm new, he wants me to learn everything as soon as possible, so I dun need to rely on him so much.. so he wants me to like do OT for a mth or sumthing.. so ya.. so can you believe it tat juz today (which is my FIRST day of work), I've done already like almost 3 hrs of OT!.. so I knocked off at work at abt 1900 instead of 1600.. so ya.. And according to him, he said he wld request to the accounts department to pay me overtime pay.. so ya.. hope its true lah, or else I work for nothing!.. so ya.. But I tell you, its real shacked! Becos

And oh.. tell you ah.. I think nxt time I wld speak Mandarin more than English, becos my working environment (or shld I say my staff/subodinates) mainly constitutes Malaysians & China nationals.. so ya.. so I think Mandarin wld be an appropriate language to converse with them, since I work with them very closely.. so ya..
Then dialects are also spoken too, but I only understand them.. but of course, I hope tat I can learn Cantonese real soon.. or at least for a start, understand it! Becos I always like Cantonese and I'm trying to master the dialect, but to no avail.. haix..

Then came home at 1930 feeling real shacked and hungry! Ate dinner.. and then on the computer and blog this blogpost loh..
Then at the same time of typing this blog, I'm talking on the phone with my BEST bro in camp, Sidney (see Sidney.. how honoured of you to be mentioned in my blog.. I still never draw line ok.. not like u said.. wahaha).. Sidney as usual rant his grievances over camp and personal matters to me, and I offered a listening ear lah.. so ya.. though there were lots of suaning by him (becos tats how we talk), but it was enjoyable.. dun koe why.. =).. Probably tats you lah, and I know you so well.. its also like talking to an old good friend.. =)

Then after he put down the call, I'm still on this blog and also at the same time, chat with a few ppl on MSN.. one of which is to tell my bro in church, Andrew, abt tml's cookie baking session at Nat's place for Sat's church anniversary at York Hotel and at the same time, help me to coordinate names and stuff of who's coming to help and stuff.. so ya.. Thanx bro for helping! =) Your help is greatly appreciated! =)

Ok lah.. I gtg and sleep liaox.. tml is really gonna be another long day at work.. gonna be at the production floor I think the whole day or sumthing.. so ya.. need to sleep early also, so as to catch up on my past sleep and also to prevent myself frm dozing off whilst reading essential reading materials.. haha.. which I almost did today at work.. Too much reading liaox, which also cause my head to ache.. guess its information overload.. so ya..

Ok.. gtg liaox.. its 2300 and I think its still not enuf.. ahhh.. so ya.. Me going to la-la-land and off to Marigold for work tml, and after work, go Nat's hse to help in the baking.. wa.. super tiring day tml.. so ya.. got to sleep now! Ciaox ppl! =)

ORD loh!!

Hey ppl! I've got my pinkie (aka Pink IC) liaox! Yay! ha..

First thing first, thank you all ppl for all the well wishes tat you have given me for my ORD..
But wats best is the following SMS whom I receive from my BMT section mate, Dennis.. it was really creative and sweet.. so I wld like to share it with you all.. so here it is:

Anyway, this morning I was praying very hard tat the process wld be a smooth-sailing one, however during midway, I met with some problems and for a moment, I thought tat I cldn't take my IC today, which of course I wld be very sad if this is so..
Lazy to type and explain in this blog lah.. but anyway, I collected my IC with Samuel (frm my clique who is from the same BMT company, Viper, but different platoon.. so ya.) today.. so both of us are like quite happy tat we got our ICs back, though the process takes abt 3 hrs.. so ya.. becos the ppl who needs to sign the clearance was not there and stuff.. so ya..
And I tell you.. I was sweating like a pig lah.. and its the only time where 1 day, I walk so many times to and fro from bunk to Base HQ and vice versa.. ha.. So does tat considered as a good exercise? ha..

Anyway, when I saw my pink IC being taken out from the drawer, I was like "wow! at last!" haha.. but after tat, the feeling subsided liaox.. but whenever I see my pink IC, I somewhat will feel attached to it! haha..

Then I got a call from Boon Sen to like accompany him to go checkup at Orchard.. I was like ok loh.. but after I reached home (it was still too early after I left camp, so I came home first), I felt super tired, and I was so tempted to turn down Boon Sen's offer to go out, but I felt tat its not rite lah.. so I somewhat force myself to go loh.. haix..

So when I reach Orchard and meet Boon Sen, I saw Hock Soon.. haha.. so it was a pleasant surprise.. but then, Boon Sen didnt do his medical checkup in the end becos of the lack of some official documents.. so ya.. haix..
So in the end, 3 of us decided to go catch a movie.. We walked to Cineleisure and wanted to watch "Death Note" but then it is opening tml, so no sneak previews.. haix.. so in the end, we had to settle for "You, Me & Dupree".. the show was a so-so lah.. romantic comedy plots.. there were some funny moments but I really didnt enjoy it becos I was so tired.. In fact, I slept in the cinema during certain parts of the show! Pathetic rite? Tat was how tired I was lah!.. so ya.. haix..

Then after which, I went to my new church venue/office for the weekly prayer mtg.. reached there quite early, so I went to the nearby Tanjong Pagar market to buy dinner.. I wanted to eat the famous hokkien mee there, but close liaox.. so ya.. so not much stalls.. I wanted to settle for soupy stuff, but think eating it wld be quite difficult.. so ya.. so in the end, I ate sinful stuff (char siew and roasted pork rice).. so ya.. I added rice but then the stallowner was so nice as not to charge me extra money, becos I think the stall is closing liaox, so he wants to sell finish his rice.. so ya..
So I went to church office and ate it loh.. not bad lah, but a bit salty though.. so to balance and remove tat guilt of eating so fatty food despite my determination to slim down, I drank fresh ice lemon tea.. so ya.. so at least to "kill" some of the fats.. hahax.. =P..

Prayer mtg was ok lah.. and its the first time where I pray, the words juz flow out of my mouth and I dun koe how it happened! Ha.. somehow, bombastic words juz came out during prayer, which I didnt experience before.. haha.. muz be the Spirit's annointing! =)

Prayer mtg ended and Carlise gave me a lift home loh.. Once reached home, I began to busy packing for tml's working stuff.. and then bathe and now blog loh.. so ya..

Ok lah.. I gtg liaox.. had to wake up at 0530 tml again, becos my work starts at 0730, and tml is my FIRST day of work at Marigold.. so ya.. Juz hope everything goes smoothly tml lah! =)

Ok.. its close to midnight liaox and I need to sleep liaox.. can't blog further or else tml I wld be a zombie.. haha..

Shacked!

Ok.. I tell you ppl.. I'm really super shacked!! Shacked to the core lah.. I never had been so tired before.. Its as if I've done 24 hrs of duty without sleeping.. so ya.. haix..

Anyway, here is my brief update:

Monday (16/10/06)

Went to church office to pack the stuff.. and actually there was nothing to pack.. its more of computers, removing wires, and stuff.. so ya.. practically I was a telecommunications man packer yesterday lah.. so I packed literally from 1300-2130.. and I tell you.. I was super shacked! I juz didnt koe why.. probably its the frequent late nites, but haix..

Came home, bathe and then I go sleep liaox, becos the next morning (17/10) need to wake up early for somemore packing at my old church venue and unpacking at my new church venue.. so ya..

So ya.. so tats why I never blog yesterday loh!

Tuesday (17/10/06)

This morning woke up at 0630.. and then I bathe.. and my dad and I were off in a bus to meet aunty agnes for breakfast near her place, and 3 of us then took cab to my old church venue.. so ya..

When we went there, I didnt do much.. juz instruct the movers where move to where and stuff.. so ya.. My church pay money to them to do ALL the moving, so I'm juz gonna sit back and relax and instruct loh.. so ya..

My other bro in church, Alvin, came to help also.. so ya.. at least got 1 youth to help and talk too.. ha.. or else a bit bored.. ha..

So afternoon after all the moving, lunch was at Tanjong Pagar Market.. and it was good lah.. After so long, I managed to eat the "Annie's Peanut Ice Kachang!".. super nice lah.. now I koe.. I want to eat very easy.. near my new church only, which is also my dad's new office.. so ya.. Then lunch also ate char kway teow under the recommendation from aunty agnes (she's the food queen man, and both of us have similar food taste!) .. very nice.. sinful food always taste nice! haha.. you shld try it.. its the original char kway teow, and the kway teow they used is not the normal ones, but its the kway teow used to cook ipoh hor fun.. so ya.. so very nice =)

After lunch, all of us (including Tjow who joined us for lunch) went back to the office, and guess wat.. Alvin & I was our first time in setting up a computer (as in plug in monitor, etc.. so ya.. and both of us were setting up the computers/telephones (which is again telecommunications.. which I think I'm really a telecommunications line person.. wahhaa) for our youth worker as well as for our pastor of the church.. so ya.. both of us felt quite an achievement lah, and I joked tat if we ever need of us, we can do part-time.. haha..
Anyway, the best thing tat can happen to the setting up was Tjow lah, becos he is the one who makes the internet work (as in he set up the modem and stuff).. which I think if you let me do it, I wld juz dun koe how to do and stare at it lah.. haha.. I neevr understood all these.. so ya.. So thank Tjow! You have been a great help! Alvin and I wld not have access the net without your help! Your help is very much appreciated! =)

So ya.. after finish those stuff (setup and all), all of us proceed to Tiong Bahru for some zhi-char.. the food not bad.. all under the compliments of aunty ann.. thanx =)

Came home, bathe and now blog loh.. and at the same time, chatting with some of my friends on MSN.. some of which were my army mates, as well as also a mission-trip mate whom I didnt chat with him on MSN since I've entered NS.. haha.. =).. Its been enjoyable lah!

However, I need to sleep soon.. becos tml need to go back camp early to sign the last few clearances, before I collect my pink IC tml.. so ya..

Ha.. I think I'm gonna be the happiest man in the world tml lah! ORD is such a good feeling, but then, its also a sad thing too, esp. for sentimental ppl like me.. haix..
A few mths ago, I was thinking wat wld I do on my ORD day? And now, it has finally come! In fact, I'm like 9-10 hrs away from collecting my pink IC! =)..

Ok.. I shall chat a bit more, before sleeping early becos need to wake up at 0645 tml.. haix.. so early but oh well.. for my IC I dun mind..

Another buffet dinner.. =P

Surprisingly, I woke up myself at 1000 this morning.. so ya..

Parents bought MacDonald's breakfast (though I didnt like it!) and ate it loh! My mum bought black coffee for me, instead of tea.. I was like drinking it as if it was some bitter medicine! I put 3 pkts of sugar in, but it still doesnt cover up the sourish and bitter taste of the coffee.. haix..

Then I continue with a bit of my publicity stuff, before I bathe and got out of the hse for music practice at my new church venue.. I left my hse with my dad (as my dad also needs to go for music practice).. so we met A. Agnes at the bus-stop before taking a common bus, and its always weird, becos she somehow can like always time it so 'zhun' tat she always can meet us without her waiting so long.. fwah! This is wat I call good time management.. hahax..

We reached there but no one was there yet, so I whipped out my publicity stuff and do again.. At abt 1400, some ppl came and there was like suddenly a big dispute and stuff going on.. haix.. but after tat, the dispute subsided and everyone was back to their happy selves again.. ha.. =)

U. Andrew then gave my dad and I a lift to Suntec City, as we are going there with my mum and sis for some friend's birthday celebration dinner.. so ya.. but we have to wait for my mum and sis to appear mahx, becos when we called, they are still at home.. so ya.. So my dad and I went to Starbucks @ Suntec, to have a light snack and some coffee and at the same time, do my publicity stuff.. so ya..
Then my sis and mum came and they helped a bit, then we proceed to Marina Square for some shopping.. but in the end, nothing.. so ya..

Then went back to Suntec to have steamboat buffet for dinner to celebrate the birthday for my mum and dad's friend mah.. so ya..

Then came home, and see how my new computer is doing, becos apparently, everything has been done by my computer technician in the afternoon liaox, and all is done.. so ya.. Thank God.. so now, I'm running close to 200 GB of hard-disk space..

Then now, Im surfing the web as well as do this blogpost for today loh..

My plans for tml is wake up and do a bit of my publicity stuff (still have not finish, but I think I can finish within an hour.. so ya..), and then go to church office to help in the packing for Tues to the new place.. so ya..

Ok.. gtg and surf a bit more, and then its me off to lala land.. so ya.. ha.. cya ppl tml then! =)

Youth Camp Meeting a success =)

Hey! I've decided tat its so tedious to keep on updating the PSI index.. a bit lazy lah.. =P..

Anyway, this morning was spent like playing the piano and stuff.. Woke up quite late this morning.. so ya.. I'm beginning to be like a pig liaox..

Then after which, I went to weigh myself and I was shocked! I have gained 1kg! You ppl muz have think that 1kg exclaim until like tat.. wats the big deal? Ppl, this 1kg increase is actually very impt, becos by putting on this 1kg, I have juz reach over the healthy BMI and start to go to being overweight.. I'm was completely terrified by tat extra 1kg.. Cannot! I muz lose tat 1kg, or else, I wld gain another kilogram soon.. so ya.. Shall see wat I can do lah!

Then bathe and went to church loh with my mum in a cab, becos both of us are in charge of setting up the chairs and stuff in church.. so ya..

Church went on juz fine, and I got a really unexpected question being brought forth to me during church.. and of course, this is of all confidentiality.. so ya.. I wont reveal in this blog lah! =)..

After church is done, helped out in the packing of musical equipments and stuff, becos we are moving liaox mahx.. so ya..

After packing, went with the Youths to Meridian to have dinner, and man! I eat so much tat I felt like I was a pig lah! haha.. I ate the following:

(a) 1 plate of Fried Udon

(b) 1 bowl of DIY dessert (nata de coco, sea coconut [thnx bro, Andrew, for reminding me the combo muz include sea coconut], and mango puree)

(c) 1 bowl of fishball soup with some vegetables.

Items (a) & (b), I had for dinner.. Item (c) was a last minute thingy, becos I've got craving for fishballs.. wahaha.. (Ash, u muz be grinning ear to ear rite?).. The fishballs really taste yummy and they are so springy! They taste succulent too! One bite and the yummy juices of the fishball juz ooze out.. =).. (Ash, dun laugh I warn ya!)..

Then we had Youth Camp mtg and of course, I took the most time to discuss lah.. Altogether, I took abt half-an-hour for juz my publicity thingy.. haha.. and not forgetting I was in a state of slight shock after receiving some bad news.. so ya.. haix.. nevermind.. dun wish to brood it up the subject again..

And can u believe it? The haze level did reach up to unhealthy levels of 115 (highest PSI index for today).. haix.. I was telling Deborah how come its always Saturdays tat the haze level would be so bad.. so ya.. haix.. but nevertheless, I still see so many ppl on Orchard.. ha..
And yes.. one look at the haze yesterday at Orchard, I would have known tat the haze level muz be quite bad, but it was really unexpected tat the PSI was 104 when I first steop into Meridian at abt 2000 hrs.. haix..

So by the time the Youth Camp mtg ended, it was about 2300 liaox! So after which, I went home by NEL train..

When I reached home, I didnt bathe.. so ya.. instead, I did some publicity item which is due nxt Fri (20/10).. so ya.. And I didnt finish till 0230.. and now have to write this blog.. super sleepy loh.. ok lah.. I better go and sleep liaox..

Tml have to wake up like 1000, eat breakfast and get ready to go to my new church venue for music practice at 1330.. ok lah..

Oops.. now 0245 liaox.. I better go sleep or else ah, cannot wake up tml.. nitex!

So now getting on with my blogpost for today..

This morning I dun koe how come I suddenly woke up at 0700.. My aim is at 0800.. haix.. anyway, I still like sleep till my alarm rings at 0800... ha..

Then ate my breakfast and then bathe, and then went back to camp to sign clearance.. But something weird happen though.. I was somewhat lost, like wat bus to take to camp and stuff, I forgot liaox.. oh man.. Am I getting senile or sumthing? hmm..

Then when I abt to reach camp, Boon Sen called me and asked me where I was and stuff.. So I told him, and he said he want to wait for me, becos he dun want to walk up the long road (aka Toranto) all by himself.. so ya.. So I accompanied him lah, but halfway, kokwei took cab and then he fetch us up the long road (aka Toranto).. so ya.. Thanx ah =)

Then of course becos I have return my pass already, I actually went to change pass, and guess wat! It felt so good being the one changing for a visitor pass! haha.. Last time was I change pass for ppl, but the tables are being turned around now.. so ya.. the feeling is different lah.. you muz change then u koe.. ha.. =)

Then I saw some familiar faces (like Mingjun) and chatted with him.. from him, then I koe the mounting system change and stuff.. so ya.. it sounds more shiong, but according to him, it is much better.. at least they have alternate weekends free.. so ya.. tats wat they told me.. At least I'm glad the upper management has done something for the RPs on the ground! Kudos to them! =)

So there we (Boon Sen, myself, Kokwei, Samuel & Yizhou) went round the whole base to sign our clearances.. so ya.. Had a sweaty body after tat.. the weather was hot lah!
Then as we are about to sign our last third signature, one of the NSF who is in charge of checking the stuff before the clearance can be signed, told us tat the system is down and we are to come back another day.. I told the person cannot wait liaox, becos we are ORD-ing soon liaox.. but then he said he can do nothing.. so we decided to sign tat particular signature on the day of ORD.. so ya.. no choice.. haix.. =)

Then all of us except Kokwei, went to Yishun's Burger King to eat lunch.. Then we had a good time catching up with one another (like giving each an update of what each of us are doing at home/work, etc).. so ya.. However, when we finish our lunch, we dun koe where to go liaox, so we went our separate ways, and its a bit sad lah (becos today is probably the last time we are mtg each other, becos after we ORD, we dun koe when we will meet again!).. so ya.. We have been friends for almost 1.5 yrs liaox, and we have gone thru thick and thin together in NS.. so ya.. but haix.. better not say anymore, or else I wld cry loh.. knowing me the sentimental type one.. haix..
Oh.. we have like make simple plans like end of nxt mth, we are gonna meet up for dinner at Kuishinbo! hahahx.. we juz love tat restaurant.. so we shall see how loh.. see whether this can be a reality! =) Hope this can be true lah! =)

Then of course after I came home, I felt tired and like took a 1.5 hrs nap (simply not used to waking up early! die! nxt time I work how.. haix).. after tat, I woke up and work on the last bit of my church stuff.. so ya.. took abt an hour though for doing my church stuffs..

Then went to buy dinner.. watch a bit of TV and back to my church stuff.. and within an hour, I was done! =).. Thank God..

Then now I'm blogging and at the same time, chatting on MSN loh.. so ya..

Oh.. since now I have finished 98% of my church stuffs, I can enjoy my long-awaited break before I start work next Thursday (19/10/06).. Actually I'm dying to start work, becos ah, staying at home is bored lah.. and speaking of bored, I have planned out my schedule to THE day (as well as for the week ahead!) liaox.. so here it is:

Sat (14/10): Go church early to setup the place, as well as for worship music practice.. then after church, I have Youth Camp 2006 mtg..

Sun (15/10): Go for music practice @ 1330, Saint Andrew's Centre (my new church venue at Tanjong Pagar), and after which, go for someone's birthday celebration with my family.

Mon (16/10): Going to my church office (aka my dad's office, becos my dad work in my church mahx) to help out in the packing of stuff, becos on tues (17/10), it wld be THE day where my church moves its office.. so ya..

Tues (17/10): Continue to go to my church office to help in the moving. Today is like the final straw liaox.. We would move EVERYTHING to my new church venue at Tanjong Pagar.

Wed (18/10): Go camp in the morning with Samuel to collect my IC, as it is our (Samuel & mine) ORD day! =)

Thurs (19/10): Start work at Marigold at 0730!

Fri (20/10): After work, proceed to Nat's hse to bake cookies for my church's Youth Camp fund-raising.

Sat (21/10): My Church's Anniversary at York Hotel.

So you can see.. I have planned my activities for 1 week liaox! Not bad huh! hahax.. Ok lah.. gtg liaox and surf some other webbies before I turn in for the nite! =) Cya ppl soon!

Today really do much lah! Except tat after so long, I managed to get out of the house and watch a movie! Oh man! Its been ages since I watched one lah! It was a last minute thing though..

I was surfing the net, and in mind, I want to watch Rob-B-Hood (a production of Jackie Chan), but no kakki to watch so ya..

Just then, Boon Sen came online, and then I asked him, and surprisingly, he agreed! So ya.. so we made plans what time to meet and stuff.. then I told my mum tat I wld be going out even though my computer technician coming over to my hse at abt 1600-1700.. so ya.. she advice me not to, becos she dun koe anything abt computer and if my computer technician needs me, it wld be difficult! so ya.. Then my sis at home also, but she was unwilling to help.. I had a quarrel with my sis in the afternoon becos of this matter lah.. arghh.. dun remind me of the incident anymore! dun want to say.. I ranted over MSN to Boon Sen liaox!!.. Much thanx to Boon Sen for hearing my rant as well as also be my movie kakki! =)

So I still went over to watch the movie.. We went to Junction 8's Golden Village, as the place had our appropriate time and we both stay quite near, so get home shld be easy, rather than going to town.. so ya.. =)..

And I muz say the movie is worth every cent of my $7!! Its funny, action and touching at the same time.. You shld go catch it! =).. If you like babies, this is the show for ya, becos the baby is really zou cuuuttteeee..... ok.. I shall stop.. haha.. the cinema was fully packed btw, and its half-filled with gals, so u can imagine how "sweet" the atmosphere was whenever the baby is shown onscreen.. wahaha.. So ya.. and the running time for the show is 125 minutes.. very worth it too! This is also the FIRST time tat I've seen the famous HongKong actor, Louis Koo (aka Gu Tian Le) doing stunts juz like Jackie Chan.. ok.. maybe not to the extreme extent, but its good enuf liaox! So ya..
For this movie, I give it 4 out of 5 stars! Oh.. the story plot is quite simple and predictable, but the action and the funniness of the movie makes it so enjoyable to watch it over and over again! =).. so go catch it ya!
And oh.. there are 3 guest appearances as well.. you watch the movie then u koe.. and surprisingly, all the 3 guest appearances in the show all are those weird weird characters like gay, person who stummer, etc.. so ya.. I like the gay character best (acted by Daniel Wu - which is of course a guest appearance!).. You have to watch it to koe wat I'm toking abt! =).. shall not spoil the fun further! =)

Then I came home and was so surprised tat my computer technician is still working with my computer, and he seemed to have a problem.. after much deduction, he had said it cld be some problem either with my motherboard or my hard-disk.. so ya.. lots of problems.. lazy to explain.. but anyway, in summary, is tat he install the hard-disk, then my dvd-rom can't work, and vice versa! so ya.. so he is coming again on Sunday morning to do my computer loh.. so in the meantime, he only installed my dvd-rom and man! its good lah! haha.. I can finally read dvd! haha.. but then my cd-rom drive can't read.. haix.. so the only thing tat is surviving is my old 40GB hard-disk as well as my DVD-rom..

Then after my computer technician tried on my computer for 4 hrs, he gave up and said he would come back on Sunday, as he need to do his research and all.. so ya.. So he did a disk cleanup and I tell you, it was abt 30 mins.. super long.. and my antivirus has detected a deadly virus in my computer.. die.. no wonder my com tech cant solve the problem.. dun koe whether is this the problem.. but I'm gonna leave it to him since he is in charge of my computer! =)..

So after the disk cleanup and stuff, I burned some of my mp3s on a trial dvd-r disc he gave me, and said tat this is like a back-up for my mp3.. juz in case.. so I said ok, and then burn the dvd after my disk cleanup is done.. so ya.. so managed to finish it soon lah!

Then now after finish, I blog now loh! Think I'm gonna sleep liaox.. need to wake up early tml, becos tml morning going back to camp to sign most of my clearance.. so ya.. so need to sleep early lah!.. but I dun think so.. haha.. its already 0020 and I'm still up... will wake up at 0800 later.. haix..

Ok.. my head start to ache liaox.. too much computer radiation.. =).. Finally an exercise of the mth!

This morning was reading the newspapers, as well as also surf net, particularly Friendster! ha.. quite interesting actually! =).. you see ppl u dun koe, and you get to see their outrageous photos and stuff.. haha.. so fun! so I guess tats one sign tat I'm bored! =)

Then afternoon came and the sky began to turn grey.. so I was like contemplating half the time whether to go swim or not.. becos I dun want to like swim halfway, then ha.. rain.. waste money and waste time lah..

My mum knew I was going to swim today, so she told me to juz go and swim becos it wont rain.. she somehow can predict the weather lah, and most of the time, its true lah! hahax..

And so I went.. Packed my stuff and go swim.. And soon I reached the swimming pool and then swam.. After which, I stop and think, "eh.. I'm here swimming already?".. ha.. funny isnt it..

Anyway, today I swam 30 laps.. My aim was at least 37 laps, but cant lah.. too lazy.. haha.. anyway, my warm-up was 4 laps (non-stop).. then I rested for 3 mins.. then I continued swimming 10 laps (non-stop).. then I rested for 5 mins.. then I swam the last 16 laps (non-stop) under 30 mins!.. so ya.. so I managed to swim abt 30 laps loh!
And it was actually quite fun to swim like all alone.. no buddy and stuff.. becos frankly speaking, whilst swimming, I was thinking abt a LOT of stuff (abt church, personal life, etc).. I was not really concentrating on how many laps left to swim.. so ya.. So its like after 1 hr, I'm done with the 30 laps! hahax..

Then after which, I went to shower and then walk back.. Becos I didnt eat lunch before I swim, so naturally, its like when I pass by an KFC outlet near my hse, I tell you, it was certainly tempting, but I resisted it in the end! Thank God! =)
Then I decided to eat something which is not so fattening, as after exercise, if I indulge, it wld not be good.. wld feel guilty.. so I ate a bun and a warm soyabean milk which is my favourite beverage of all time.. so its like ya.. the bun provide me with limited carbohydrate, whilst the soyabean milk provided me a little of protein.. so ya.. so you see I used my food knowledge huh! ha.. so who says I forget everything abt wat I studied in my diploma.. haha.. =P.. so ya.. oh!

So after I finshed my lunch, I proceeded to bathe.. Then decided to "play" with my mini-hifi radio, and I've juz realise tat my mini-hifi radio has the alarm clock and "sleep" functions.. hahax.. So I adjusted the alarm clock and it did work! ha.. so happy! =)

Woke up in a daze of course and then ate dinner (which was century egg porridge! best!).. then watched a bit of TV until my computer technician came over to my place and install the new DVD drive and the hard-disk.. but then, he brought over the wrong dvd rom and then also cant solve the hard-disk problem becos cant partition properly and stuff! so ya.. so he is coming over to my place tml afternoon again.. so ya.. haix.. I tot tonight can finish the installation stuff, and then proceed over to do the photo CD for my church youth camp.. haix.. so until now, still cannot.. sianx =(

Then before he left, he told me how much technology changes so much.. there is such a thing called "network storage".. have you all heard abt it? Its actually like installing a hard-disk to your modem, then ppl save the information by means of the modem.. so its like transferring information thru the internet and save it in the hard-disk.. then of course, there is authentification too.. so ya.. quite cool rite? but it muz be expensive, becos I think this technology is super new lah!
Haix.. we juz cant catch up with technology lah.. I tell you.. if we were to keep following technology, we will just go broke lah! haha..

Then now I'm blogging loh.. haix.. Oh.. the haze is back again.. and its in the 80s level again.. die.. I hope I dun fall sick again.. I've juz recovered! So tonite its me closing the window and sleep again, becos the burning smell is quite strong lah!.. so ya.. haix..
Actually come to think of it, its not ppl like me who are suffering, but its actually my fellow RPs (both new and old) in my camp who are suffering, becos whether got haze or not, they still have to stand gate.. haix.. poor thing.. =(..

Ok lah.. I gtg liaox! Head start to ache as usual, which is usually a sign tat I've enuf of computer radiation and I shld take a rest! so ya.. gtg and sleep liaox! =)

The haze is back after much clear skies!

Today didnt really do much.. Was on computer the whole day as usual.. I did my monthly personal budget (becos today receive pay liaox mahx), then burn the photo CD (for my KL ORD trip) for my friends whom I mtg on Friday becos go camp and sign clearance mahx..

Then its surfing net for a while, before I have to be whisked off to bathe as I need to attend a wedding dinner.. Moreover, at Boon Lay.. super far! haix..

Oh.. anyway, I have news saying tat this Sun's birthday celebration wld not be in Hotel Rendezvous anymore.. its at Suntec, but then again, a buffet.. so ya.. haix.. and no! I didnt exercise today.. haix.. =(.. The haze is back.. haix..

So after I bathe, I went out of hse and proceed to Boon Lay.. Journey super far! Of course, I've today officially been changing my contact lens from Focus Dailies Aqua-release, to 1-Day Acuvue Moist! so ya.. and as usual, not used to it, therefore takes abt 3-5mins to put the pair of contact lens onto my eyes! But after yesterday, I somewhat found the tactic of putting it on (which is so different frm my previous one).. so ya..

By the time I reached there, I was tired and real hungry.. Thank God my parents decides to take cab frm Jurong East MRT.. the original plan was to take MRT to Boon Lay then take cab there.. so ya..

When we reach there, it was really a typical chinese dinner.. and then my mum saw a familiar face (which is her relative lah).. so ya.. we were seated loh.. then I tell you.. this is gonna be one of the funniest and worst weddings I've attended so far! Dun get me wrong.. the food is all rite.. its juz tat entertainment there really sux! I was msg my bro, Andrew abt it, and he also agreed with me.. I wanted to take a photo of it, but then, haix.. its too embarassing to be in my phone.. anyway, here is a brief description of it and hope you can visualize it..

Imagine this.. The dinner is so so aunty-rish!! They've got Chinese MC somemore.. then got hokkien, teochew and cantonese songs, but mostly its hokkien songs! Then there is this one time, there is a karaoke MTV showing women in scantily-clad bikinis (but all of which is in the 1970s-1980s, and I think its appropriate to name them, aunties! wahaha).. then with all their fancy jewellery and costumes.. then they speak hokkien and stuff.. its really like watching the 7 month getai -_-|||.. haha.. The guy was worse.. its obviously he is bald.. but then he put on this wig, which really looks like a watermelon figure over his head! hahax.. Haix.. I shld have taken a photo, then u all koe wat I mean.. ha.. but then again, dun want lah.. make my whole blog so embarassing.. ha..
Then I was telling my mum tat my wedding nxt time wld be an English one.. even if I want a Chinese wedding dinner, it wld not be something like tat.. so ya.. it wld be somewhere else.. but then again, chinese wedding dinners are more or less like tat.. haix..
And I was surprised tat at such Chinese dinners, there is red wine served.. so being the adventureous me, I went to take a glass.. and surprisingly, the red wine is those real young ones, but then, its not cold at all, so it taste quite weird.. so ya.. So I actually only drank a few sips and then I saw a fly being trapped inside the wine glass, so I stopped drinking.. and then somewhat, I was like having some dizzy spells and a headache.. not too sure whether is it becos of the place which is lack of oxygen or the music is simply too loud/deafening.. haix..

The food was not too bad though.. I really eat until I'm full.. not those buffet-type of real full, but its good enuf lah! =).. hahax.. I like the 1st dish and the dessert best! The one thing tat I like abt the 1st dish was the century egg, which was coated with flour and then deep fried and coated with honey in the end.. very nice.. the dessert which was Yam with Ginko Nuts (aka Orh Ni) was fabulous! Its not so sweet and I can taste the yam; but one thing though... not enuf yam.. but watever! I was craving for 'orh ni' and alas, I get to eat it! =)

Of course besides eating, my mum also caught up with her relatives.. Of course, I understand their dialect (which is Foochow), but then I dun koe how to speak.. I have hear their dialect since young (becos last time my grandma stayed with us and she spoke Foochow to my mum everyday), so naturally, I understand EVERY word they have said, but juz dun koe how to converse in them.. so ya.. so beware.. if you koe Foochow, and think tat no one else understands them except you, ha.. you better koe this.. I understand every word you said! wahahaha.. *evil laugh*

So after reaching home by cab (which was a whopping $14.30 - including a $0.10 surcharge becos its past 2330), I bathe, and then log on net to update this blog loh.. so ya.. =)

Ok lah.. very tired liaox.. one of my few aims I want to accomplish tml is to go swimming.. I seriously need exercise! =).. Ciaox ppl and good nite!

This morning my place here was a bit hazy loh.. but then, went to NEA website to see the PSI Index and was surprised tat its moderate levels.. I was thinking whether its like 80 or sumthing.. hahax..

Anyway, after which, I do many stuff.. Of course, I did type some of the worship songs.. redo some, edit some and added some.. so ya.. my usual activity after I attended the week's worship music practice (for Combine Service in church).. so ya..

Then I was so bored tat I surf the net for a while.. then get back to church stuff.. First, I edit my Publicity Report for this Saturday's Youth Camp Meeting, then following by updating my worship compilation (realise I have not done tat for at least a yr!)..

Then at 1745, I received a call from my camp, and on the line was my officer! I was quite shocked initially, becos I tot he wants me to go back camp or sumthing.. hahax.. Anyway, he told me I had to complete this ORD survey by tonite, becos its due tml.. I was like "ok loh! I thought juz answer the questions and stuff".. Many thanx to my officer, 2LT Wong Huijie.. if he have not tell me, I dun even koe must do.. haha.. Thanx Sir for taking the initiative to call! =).. Appreciate it lots! =)
Then I put the call and then went to the ns.sg website (the official website for NSmen) to do the ORD thingy tat my officer was telling me abt! And I went to this read-up which has a lot of sections though; I wasn't sure whether it is, so I called up my officer to confirm, and after much interaction with each other, my officer finally confirm tat the website I was on, is correct.. so ya..

Then I began doing.. and man! There was so much to read lah.. Its like a online manual to tell you the 'A-Z's of an NSmen.. man! It got so much content lah! Yes! No doubt it is good, but then its information overload in fact! Can you believe it? It have even a quiz after each section you read and you MUST attempt it; in the event tat you answer the same question with the wrong answer twice, you have to re-do the whole quiz AGAIN (and with different set of questions somemore!).. tats the worst part! So I was like doing it until 3/4 of the ORD thingy, and then I got a terrible headache! I was hungry and at the same time, have a headache.. can you imagine how much I've suffered? I had spend like 1 hr on the survey and have not finish yet! Can u imagine how many things I have to read and do the quiz? wahaha..
I have no choice but to like log off and then go eat dinner and rest a while before getting back to complete the ORD thingy..

So watched a bit of TV and had my dinner.. Then as I watched TV, I received an SMS from my computer technician asking me whether I want to upgrade my initial order of 80 GB hard-disk to a 160 GB hrad-disk for a mere $25 more! I was like thinking very hard, becos this wld mean tat the total cost wld be $205 (before GST) rather than the initial $180 (before GST).. then he also told me tat if I take the 160 GB hard-disk, he wld install it for me on Wed (11/10), which is the optimum day for me and the one which I requested.. I need my stuffs (my new hard-disk and my DVD writer/burner) this Wednesday is becos of the publicity thingy I'm doing rite now, and I aim to finish before I start work nxt thurs (19/10).. so ya.. so after GST, I have to pay my computer technician (he starts his own shop btw!), $215.. expensive hor! haix.. but wat to do?
But come to think of it.. after my 160 GB hard-disk is installed, I've got a total of 200 GB of hard-disk space in my computer! Ha.. dun you feel powerful if you have so much space? Ha.. I dun think I wld be able to finish the whole 200 GB of hard-disk space! haha.. =P.. So I'm waiting anxiously for Wed lah! =)

Then I went to bathe and then on my computer, and continue with the rest of my ORD thingy.. When I'm almost done, my friend, Boon Sen, asked me to help him print his report as he no printer, so I agreed loh.. Then I finished my ORD thing and printed..

Then back to my church things lah, becos afternoon cannot finish mahx.. Juz then, my other friend, Kok Wei, SMSed over and asked me whether I can help him do.. I gave him a big scolding over SMS.. I was really pissed lah! Its not as if he dun have internet, I'm thinking tat he is plain LAZY! I juz can't stand these kind of ppl! You koe wat he answered me? He answered me tat "the most if you dun help me do, I dont ORD only mah! Thanks anyway".. Fwah! tat really spark my anger lah! I was like telling him tat these kind of things he muz do himself.. he cant expect me to do it for him! I then further tell him, "If you think I'm your babysitter, sorry hor! I'm not!"..
Then he came like apologise and stuff.. pls loh! Just dun koe why such ppl exist! Here I'm on the verge to try to finish my church things ASAP, so tat tonite I can sleep earlier and dun need to burn the midnight oil, and he is here to like asking me to do stuff which is totally not my responsibility anymore! Arghh.. better not talk abt this guy anymorel he juz gets on my nerves lah! Oh.. I've asked him an umpteen time to like send me the KL Trip photos on his camera, but everytime he either never reply, or juz like so lazy to send.. you see this kind of ppl.. nxt time go workforce dun koe how.. arghh... dun talk abt him anymore pls! Juz makes my blood boil!

Then after which, I'm blogging now loh, and at the same time, talking to my ex-officer, LTA Samuel Lee (who is a good and responsible one btw! One of the best I had in my NS life!!).. ya.. I asked him abt his life and stuff lah.. btw, he is studying dentistry at NUS! Clever kid huh! =).. so ya.. its always such a joy to chat with him.. hahax.. =)

Ok lah.. I think I shld turn in for the nite liaox.. It is 0100 and I'm still online.. haix..

Oh.. this wk is gonna be another eating wk again.. I think I wld grow fat or sumthing if I dun exercise! If time permits tml, I'll go swimming! Hope I can fulfill tat dream of me exercising, or else, you wld see not 6 pec (not tat I have though!), but 1 big island of Italy + Africa + Malaysia + Australia.. the list goes on.. you get the idea! hahax..

Anyway, here is the lowdown of my binging guilty pleasures the rest of this mth:

Tues (10/10) - Chinese wedding dinner (8 course seated down dinner) @ Raja Restaurant, Boon Lay
Sun (15/10) - Birthday celebration (high tea buffet) @ Hotel Rendezvous
Sat (21/10) - Church Anniversary (high tea buffet) @ York Hotel

So the rest of this mth is eating again, after a high-tea buffet yesterday! Oh man! I'm getting so so fat lah! But as the Chinese say, neng2 chi1 shi4 fu2 (dun koe how to explain it in English, but I'm sure you koe wat I'm saying rite!!)

Tha haze is subsiding!

For the first time this morning after 2 days, I opened my room window, and man! Ain't I happy! haha =)
This morning was quite good.. can at least see the outside, so I was thinking the haze muz have subsided.. so ya.. and yes! Once I woke up, I turn on the TV but there was no PSI, so maybe I tot tat the levels have gone down..

And here is the PSI Index for the morning:

0700: PSI Index - 57 (Moderate)
0800: PSI Index - 48 (Good)

So ya.. really thank God loh! Juz hope it remains this way! My sore throat is getting better, but there is still cough and a block nose.. so ya.. My mum's is harbouring a terrible cough now.. so ya.. haix..

So I wld think tat my mum & I would get better if the haze subsides! =)

Was awoken by my dad's alarm at 0700.. Original time I set my alarm was 0745.. no wonder I had a headache initially! haix..

Then after which, I ate breakfast and then go to SAC to attend some Chinese church service and thereafter, had worship practice there loh!

When I went there, I was quite shocked and surprised at how the place is so high-tech.. its like a multi-million church.. hahax..

But wat I can say abt the service tat its real good! Its not those really yped-up worship and stuff, becos there are abt 20 old ppl ard.. its those really moderately fast song but most of the time, its slow.. so ya.. and the musicians was very simple; 1 drummer, 1 guitarist, 1 pianist & 1 violinist! So ya.. tats all.. and the piano and the violinest were like a total match, becos it matches so well lah.. so ya.. It somewhat reminds me of my former church music group! =) but tat is all in the past anyway!

After the service, we practiced the songs frm 12+pm to almost 3pm; tats how long it is lah! so ya..

After which, my pastor gave us a lunch treat at Amara Hotel's high tea buffet spread, and it was a 1-for-1 thing.. so ya.. had a hearty lunch or shld I say teatime.. hahaha.. Thanx Uncle George =)

Then went over to Suntec's hello! shop to accompany A. Agnes, as she wants to change her phone.. so ya.. spend abt an hour there, becos I asked a lot of questions to the salesperson who attended to her.. so ya.. So I was like the official spokesperson for her to ask questions.. I asked abt her phone functions, and other stuff.. At the same time, also explain to her what are the various functions lah!

After which, bought dinner home (mouth itchy), and it was Beef Noodles @ Raffles City Shopping Centre's Food Junction.. very the nice! U shld try it sometime! =)

Then came home and then do my photos stuff lah (for church fund-raising! wat else?!?).. Then now blog..

Oh no.. I have a terrible headache.. dun koe why! haix.. think not enuf sleep becos woke up so early this morning! haix =(.. ok.. gtg now..

The haze is killing me!

Holy cow! The haze this morning did not get better, but in fact, its getting worst! I was shocked to see how hazy the conditions is outside..
I read Carlise SMS @ 1018 with disbelief; she told me tat the PSI reading outside was at 130! I didn't believe until I went to the NEA website and have a look at it myself!

Here is the lowdown on the haze level PSI readings found on the NEA website (www.nea.gov.sg):

0700: PSI Index - 89
0800: PSI Index - 101
0900: PSI Index - 119
1000: PSI Index - 130
1100: PSI Index - 128

And originally, I was supposed to like give a Publicity announcement abt the Youth Camp at church today, but then, I've started to develop a runny nose as well as my sore throat is getting worst.. However, this does NOT mean that the Publicity announcement would not be done so this wk at church! In fact, I have handed over the all impt task to another church brother of mine, Alvin! =) Alvin, thanx ah! I koe I can count on you! =)

After which, I edited the Publicity report (which I did yesterday),and then bathe and prepare to go to church.. had to be before 1430, as I have a worship practice.. Oh man.. I juz wonder how else I wld suffer whilst taking public transport, since the haze out there is super thick and visibility is low.. haix.. =(.. Well.. juz have to trust God for this lah! =)

When I was abt to do the editing of Publicity report, my bro, Andrew, send me his assignment and I read it.. and there was a bit of grammar mistakes here and there, so I volunteered to help him loh.. so ya.. Then I had to put my Publicity stuff aside.. so ya..

After which, I went to church and when I left, the PSI reading was at 102.

Church was all right, and all these while in church, I was hoping tat the haze level would drop, but apparently, I was wrong! When church finished at abt 1800, the visibility went down frm 80% to say 40%.. haix.. The smell was also very bad!

Then went to Meridian and eat dinner with Hannah, Rachel (hannah younger sister), jon, tash, jeremy, joshua & alvin.. I had Korean food for dinner as usual; I actually didnt want to eat it, but I got so tempted becos there wasnt a queue at all.. haha.. so I went to eat loh..

Then after which, we all had a good time talking and stuff.. Alvin & I told Joshua abt BMT stuff as he is going into NS on January (at the same time, he also asked to find out more lah!).. So ya.. He wanted to become an officer so much tat he gave up a place in NDU.. haix.. And after we spoke to him abt the field camps and stuff, he somewhat regretted and said tat NDU is much better.. haha..
And I was like jokingly tell joshua tat if he dun koe who to bring to Tekong on tat day (becos one enlistee is issued 5 tickets!), ask me along.. and he said no! for obvious reasons tat he koe I sure like make him envy I ORD liaox.. wahahaha.. Aren't I such a sly fellow =P..

Soon, after much talking, Joshua & I went to eat some dessert.. I ate DIY dessert but its been a long time since I ate tat, so can't remember wat I ordered last time.. haix.. so in the end, everything was white (I ordered Nata De Coco, Longan & Atap Chi!)

Then after eating, tash was so hardworking tat she took out her A Maths to practice -_-||| then suddenly the whole table was like Alvin & Jeremy helped to solve an A Maths question tat she dun koe how to solve.. Then Hannah tok abt her experience in school (with imitation of her teachers and all).. Then Joshua tok abt his Biology & Chem.. and there was poor me.. I was sitting there in a BLANK! All these I return to my teachers 4-5 yrs ago! Now ah, I can only remember my food..

Then we saw the PSI.. it was increasing the next and decreasing the others, but all at the unhealthy range (it was initially 130 when we first sat at Meridian and 150 when we left!).. Joshua said tat maybe the PSI would shoot up to 150 when we are leaving and true enuf, it did.. Josh, u have a 'sway' mouth =P....

But nevertheless, I still had to go home.. so ya.. help my sis buy some of her baking stuff at Carrefour, before I went home lah!

Then immediately come home, I have to do my photos thingy for fund-raising, and u koe wats worse? Tjow burn for me in DVD-rw and my com cant read it.. Do it on my sis com, but then transferring back is another problem.. haix.. So I decided to ask my computer technician to help me purchase a DVD writer/reader as well as a 80GB Harddisk, becos my current 40GB harddisk is running out.. man.. I feel so powerful.. ha.. after my computer is done, I've got 120GB of harddisk space in total.. wahahaha... =P.. but all these dun come cheap.. all these costs me $180.. haix.. have to part with this amt of money.. haix.. then I msg Tjow and he was so evil lah.. he said "I shld have do this, becos its time to upgrade!" evil rite.. =P

Haix.. then now blogging this loh... After which, I'm going to sleep with my windows close again! The haze is getting bad! arghh...

The H.A.Z.E.!

Before I go on, I wld like to wish everyone, Zhong Qiu Jie Kuai Le (which literally means, "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival"..
The past wk I have been eating mooncakes for breakfast EVERY morning without fail, and I tell you, I eat until I scared! *eeks*

Today I did not do much of the publicity stuff, except to settle some of the admin stuff for publicity.. Of course, I finish up the last bit of ppt presentation and then go on with the admin stuff.. one of which is a Publicity report, which I took the initiative to do up, so as to let the rest of the Youth Camp Committee members to koe what I'm up to and stuff.. so ya..

Then at nite, had cell grp, but no bible study! Its like chatting and eating and stuff.. Yesterday at cell grp was like a mini mid-autumn festival where ppl start bringing things like mooncakes, pomelo, etc.. It was fun!

But one thing bad was tat the haze outside was getting real bad! Everyone in my cell was like feeling the effects.. For me, a sore throat start to develop..

After they all went home, I watch Extreme Makeover on TV at 11pm, Channel 5 (and its real good I tell ya!), and after the show, I went to bathe and now blogging loh...

Now I'm blogging and after which, I shall close my room windows and on my fan full blast (hse no aircon tats why!), then I sleep.. At the same time, I'm hoping tat tml's haze level would be better... haix..

My pinkie is mine in 2 wks!

Oh man! I cant believe I'm only 2 wks away from my ORD date! So exciting! =)

Anyway, wats new! I have been in front of the computer today and been slogging late nites to complete my publicity stint!.. haix.. its really stressful.. but since I'm given this responsibility, I wanna like do my best.. I dun like slipshot work, and moreover, I'm a perfectionist.. so you shld koe me rite.. =)

And I have spend the whole day finishing up the last bit of wats left of the publicity, but of course, its another presentation, so as usual, muz do my best! So instead of ppt (which I'm totally out of ideas already), I did a video-cum-photos video presentation by using Windows Movie Maker.. I used it last time for my friend's farewell gift, and found it a very powerful media, so I decided to use it this time for the presentation.. so ya.. Though I have spend like the whole day doing up the videos (like adding in subtitles, titles to the video, slide titles, etc), it somehow cldn't convert into a movie and being saved in my computerl it somehow at like 45%-60%, computer will just hang and I hate it! U shld have see how angry I was lah!
Then came an SMS from my bro, Andrew, tat he received an SMS (Andrew is the chairman of the committee tats why!) from my other publicity team member tat he wants to withdraw out from the publicity team.. I was like shocked lah, becos apparently I spoke to him yesterday and he was fine and all, but now this sudden withdrawal! I was angry of course no doubt, becos I'm like slogging here and now he wants to withdraw.. I find it tat it isnt fair at all lah! Moreover, I'm doing most of the publicity; he is juz in charge of 2 videos and the designing of the camp booklet.. so ya.. I koe tat the 2 videos will take him a whole lot of time, so therefore, I agreed to do all the minor publicity stuff like ppt and designing forms, and moreover he needs to study, so ya.. haix.. Apparently, one of my seniors in my youth koes abt this and wat I koe is tat this senior of mine is trying to change the mind of my other publicity team-mate.. haix.. wonder wats the outcome.. haix.. juz hope everything goes well lah, or else ah.. I dun koe how to handle all these myself! I have been spending sleepless nites on my publicity things liaox and now have to like worry abt other stuff.. haix.. sometimes I really wonder how I handle so much stress all at the same time? Its like worst than studying for my poly exams.. everything is like I'm trying to complete before I start work.. so ya.. haix..

I actually wanted to go for a swim or sumthing today, but somehow I juz cant leave aside my publicity stuff..

So after which (I was still trying to convert it into movie but still fail.. computer still hang), I gave up and I went over to AMK to buy chicken rice for dinner (ya.. mum not cooking, so she call me go buy chicken rice, and I suggested AMK.. she said ok.. so ya.. haha..)..

So I watched TV until I fell asleep!! I slept at 0300 yesterday and woke up at 0930 this morning.. juz suddenly woke up.. sianx.. but I slept not for long whilst watching TV.. I woke up juz in time for dinner and whilst eating, I was like still thinking abt whether my video wld be converted successfully; if cannot, wat muz I do?.. haix.. this makes me really cant enjoy my dinner lah.. haix..

Then at 2100, on computer and start to convert the movie.. it took me 30 mins to like try to switch to other formats to see whether it can work.. and after much trying, I managed to do it and somewhat managed to like find out wats the problem.. and the problem is tat wat I trying to convert initially is like a 80MB file, but then the one tat I changed to other format is only 9MB.. so ya.. so I was thinking tat probably my com is real lousy, so tats why.. haix..

So managed to convert it successfully at 2230 loh! Of course, before the successful conversion, my computer hang 2-3 times.. haix..

Then send to my bro, Andrew, to vet.. fortunately he said no problem, or else ah, I will peng-san..

Then 1 problem solve, I got another problem: my worship songs for church for the nxt 2 services.. apparently, there are changes in order of songs, words to be cancelled of, songs added with no chords, and one song which requires me to find the chords and type and transpose the key.. u want to koe wat's worse? I got to finish all these by Saturday (07/10).. so ya.. so its like this is more impt than my publicity stuff becos of the time lah.. haix..

I was like fwah! One problem solved and another juz keeps on coming.. Then my publicity is not like finished yet ya koe.. I still got like 3-4 more things to do and I dun koe when I can finish them.. I got 2 wks to finish them, and I dun wanna spend the 2 wks juz to do all these stuff! I wanna get it over and done with! I koe when I start working, my life is gonna be real busy.. so ya.. haix..

So after 2 hrs, I managed to finish the worship stuff, and then now, take off some time to blog loh.. haix.. I actually want to like continue doing my publicity stuff, but then time now is like 0115 and I'm getting very tired.. haix.. guess I have faced the computer for a long time liaox.. haix.. =(

Ok.. so I wld think tml then I do lah.. now, its time to turn in.. haix.. oopss.. time now is 0120.. need to sleep liaox.. Goodnitex ppl, and cya tml! =)

My room is neat!

Alas! My room is neat! I managed to pack my NS stuff into 2 boxes.. so ya.. its no more the messy sight again! Ha.. =) I juz love my room! So neat! =) Ok.. I shall stop! I was actually quite lazy to pack my room initially this morning, but then, I have to do it, or else it wld remain there and next time I dun feel like doing it liaox.. so ya.. I'm lazy rite.. wahaha

Then after finish, ate lunch.. and oh.. I think I'm becoming a pig or sumthing.. I slept at 0100 yesterday nite (becos was editing and adding stuff to my nxt publicity stint), and then I woke up only at 1000 (and it was my mum who woke me up, or else, I wld still be sleeping loh..).. haix.. am I catching up on lost sleep or sumthing? I dun koe.. haix..

After lunch, log on to net for a while to check my emails and stuff and then surf around the net loh! =)

After which, I met my bro, Andrew, at Orchard MRT to juz walk the streets of Orchard lah! Its been a long while since I visited Orchard.. wahaha..

Anyway, we juz walk and then had a good chat with each other =).. I also got 1 jazz CD, Diana Krall - From This Moment On!.. This is her NEWEST cd.. so ya.. =).. I'm a jazznut! What do you expect? =P.. I went to HMV Heeren to hear the CD, and I was impressed, so thinking tat HMV sells more expensive, therefore I went to Music Junction at Plaza Singapura, and only to find out tat it is only 5 cents cheaper.. -_-|||.. haix.. but never mind.. I enjoy the walk though! =)

Before I buy the CD at HMV, we went to Mac @ Plaza Singapura to eat our dinner! =).. Had the grilled chicken foldover, and I muz say its not bad after all! I actually wanted to upsize my meal, but then the counter only upsize my drink for me and not the fries.. I was quite furious at first, but after finishing my foldover, I realise tat I was too saturated in eating the fries liaox.. so ya.. so it was not so bad after all =)

Then I need to wait a while before my foldover is served at my seat.. so I was looking ard the surroundings whilst having my fries.. Then I saw one of my Mission Trip 2004 friend, Joel..
He is like a big brother and mentor to me when I was on my mission trip 2 yrs ago, and after tat, we didnt meet anymore..
We met again like abt half a yr back whilst I was walking past Centerpoint and it was a chance mtg!.. so ya..
But then, today I saw like this person look so familiar, and wonder whether it was Joel.. and as I see more closely, it was him lah.. he was actually doing work with his friend, so I didnt want to disturb him.. so ya..

Then after I finished my meal, went to get the Diana Krall CD.. so ya.. After which, I went to Starbucks and got a Grande size, Java Chip Frappucino! I was craving for it lah!
Just then, I received an SMS frm my poly classmate, Huifang.. She wrote the following in her SMS: "Hi Abriel Ghui.. How are you? Haha.. I saw you.. Hmm.. Very handsome now.."
Of course, being the courteous me, I replied:" Ha.. Thank You! You made my day loh.. Ha.. where did you see me?"
Just then, she called and I was like looking outside Starbucks.. and soon, I saw this pretty lady outside Starbucks and she was walking with her boyfriend.. so ya.. so of course, we both waved with much excitment! haha.. And it so happen tat my drink was ready.. so I put down my drink and left it with Andrew, whilst I go out and talk to her for a while.. So I found out where she saw me (and she said was at the main entrance of Plaza Singapura, which is like so weird lah, becos I didnt even see her.. wahaha..!), and as well as how she is doing and stuff, and she told me tat she is doing a part-time course in Business Management in MDIS and her full-time job is at a job agency.. so ya.. Then we chatted loh, juz like old friends.. I told her where I'm working and stuff, and she said tat Marigold Apple Juice very nice.. wahaha.. so she want me to help her get some.. ha.. she koes how to joke to huh.. hahax.. =)

She has to go her boyfriend hse, so therefore, our chat was short lah.. Then I went back into Starbucks, and retrieve my drink from Andrew and then both of us went for prayer mtg at my new church premise, St. Andrew's Centre, at Tanjong Pagar..

We took a train down to the place and then we walk.. and as we walked, saw some potential places to chill out or makan! =).. Went to view the place, including the place where the Youths wld be worshipping in the near future - in fact its the 1st Saturday of November =).. so ya..
Did a prayer walk around the church premises with Uncle Chong Beng.. it was certainly a big mission field and it has lots of potential to reach out to the community.. but I have this doubt in my heart tat whether all these areas wld be successfully reached out too or wld it remain stagnant juz like my previous church despite several evangelistic events been organised, which my church now also plans to do? I seriously dun koe.. I koe its like a sin to like doubt God, but ya.. I dun koe how to explain lah! Juz hope tat God wld like reveal some of his plans to me lah..
Both Andrew & I yearn to see the Youth congregation grow as well, and not only the adult congregation.. so ya.. but wat we are confused is tat the areas are all ppl of the age tat are really working and they are in their 30s.. and there are not many young ppl ard the area.. so how are we going to evangelise?.. haix.. I seriously dun koe the plans of God for our church (which is moving at end October! In fact, we have our first church service on 28/10/06.. so ya..).. well, I shall not say more, or I wld be more in sin as I'm doubting more!! Juz hope tat God wld juz reveal His plans to me soon lah! =)

After the prayer mtg, went home in U. Wah Sun's car with my dad, A. Agnes, Terence & A. Siew Fung.. so ya.. C

ame home, bathe and then on the computer and upload the publicity stuff becos I've got the resources.. wld be doing it tml and hope to complete by tml.. so ya.. I've also convert the resources to the appropriate formats.. so shld not be a problem.. =).. Though during the conversion of the resources, my computer hang a few times and I had to restart my computer.. but thank God, I got the patience and tried another format, and ha.. I managed to use it with no problems.. in fact, its faster! hahax.. =).. so ya.. gonna do it tml loh!

Haix.. now my foot is not getting any better, despite me faithfully every night apply the medicine tat my medical centre at camp gave me.. haix.. it has been very itchy.. I scratch until the pt tat the wound is showing and it actually leaks pus and blood.. super disgusting.. *eww*

After which, I settle my church worship thingy, and then blog this post.. and its now like at 0210 and I'm still online.. I think I better go offline soon, or else, my mum wld juz nag.. haix..

Another publicity stint done!

Well.. after 8 hrs of hard work and sheer mental stress, I finished another publicity ppt presentation to be shown during my church anniversary (21/10/06)... so ya..

I started doing up the ppt last nite and stayed up from 2300-0300 to do three quarters of the ppt.. This morning, I woke up at an exceptionally late time (ie, 1030, which is a time which I didnt woke up before!)

If my mum didnt wake me up at 1030, I wld still be sleeping.. Am I a pig or wat! Hahax..

So after having my breakfast, I went on to complete the ppt but I didnt finish until 1400! I last minute thought of an idea, which made me like have to re-think where to put and wat to do and stuff.. But overall, I'm satisfied with my ppt presentation..

When I reviewed the ppt, it look like its something really simple and can be finished within 30 mins to 1 hr.. but wat I tell you tat the ppt idea didnt come easy.. its 8 hrs work ok! so ya..

After I finished the ppt, I went on to another publicity stint, and becos it is quite simple, managed to finish it within 30 mins.. Then I went on to my last and final ppt (which is to be shown nxt wk!).. I have more or less got an idea of it already, but then I need more resources, and I can only do it like after tml (Wed - 04/10), becos the resources are still with my friend.. so ya..

So I guess tml wld be quite free for me.. tml morning is a sure thing tat I'm gonna pack my room.. super messy! (Wanted to do today, but no time becos I'm busy with the ppt).. then depends on my tiredness level and stuff, probably go for a swim.. havent been exercise for a while.. need to get myself moving or else, I wld be my fat self again! hahax.. I have been eating a lot lately.. its scary!

Then tml nite, have to go to church office for prayer mtg.. so ya.. so tat probably sums up wat I'm doing tml lah! =)

Ok.. its getting late.. I've got to sleep! =) Cya ppl soon!

Worship songs done!

Well.. yesterday has got to be the shortest post I've done on blogger man! And guess wat; according to Andrew, he said tat yesterday's post was my 500th post! Ha.. Wat an irony huh! ha.. =)

This whole day I have spend doing up and printing the songs for my upcoming combined worship sessions in church.. I have like retype them in like how I was used to seeing those chord sheets (b4 the merger of the 2 churches).. so ya.. and now juz to see it reduced from like 8 pcs of paper (for juz the anniversary) to like 3 pages of paper (concise and nice! All tat is needed is all in the papers tat I type..).. so ya.. The more I see it, the more satisfied I become! =).. Too many papers for me makes me really clumsy and all.. too much flipping of papers also cause me to lose my concentration.. so ya..

So I think for my nxt few worship sessions, if I have the time, I would redo it and print it myself.. so ya.. Maybe its due to my perfectionist nature tat I'm like this! =).. Can't stand slipshot work or some handwritten stuff! Everything if possible has to be perfect! Ha.. Dun I sound like a perfectionist already? I think next time when I work, my subordinates is gonna be so stressed for having such a hard boss to deal with.. ha.. lets see how nxt time loh! =)

Anyway, after the printing of the papers, felt satisfied.. printed out and put in a file for neat storage.. then went to eat dinner..

Watched TV after tat, and then on the computer again, doing this blogpost b4 I go and sleep later.. so ya..

I think tml I'm gonna pack my room! Too messy!! Arghh... Got to go now.. Ciaoz!

Sunday = Family Day

Woke up in the morning without any hangover or headache and stuff.. =) Thank God!

Do some miscelleous stuff on the computer and then its me bathing and go (with my dad) to my pastor's hse for worship music practice for both Anniversary service as well as nxt wk's Children Day Service.. so ya..

Then after which, my dad and I met my mum and sis for dinner at Suntec for dinner.. Had a great dinner at the foodcourt but the Hokkien Mee stall (which is newly opened) there was a disappointment! Haix..

Walked round Carrefour for a while before coming home by bus.. Watched a bit of Miss World 2006 on TV but then after a while, my eyes were getting heavy, and therefore I went to sleep for the day!
