A day to slack and rest @ home!!

Woke up this morning, with a feeling to sleep in, becos the weather is superb for doing so.. it is raining tats why!! And dun we all koe tat sleeping in on a rainy day is even better than chocolate! =)

Anyway, woke up and ate breakfast.. then watched the parts of Singapore Idol tat I taped but did not watch yesterday (due to mum want to watch another programme).. Oh.. speaking of which, I was so so impressed with Jonathan's FIRST performance.. It was so nice tat I my goosepimples literally stand when he started singing.. haha.. felt so happy for him.. becos he sang "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole.. so ya.. it was so nice lah.. and the judges said tat this was his best performance yet! So ya.. juz hope tat Singapore wld koe how to vote.. and yes.. I voted twice for Jonathan again! =)

Then I'm logged on the Net and blog this post loh.. so ya.. and guess wat.. I'm in a state of shock!

March to the beat...

Yes.. today the Parade is a total screw-up, becos you koe why? The SAF Band is not here, and we had to march along with the CD music which is totally off beat lah.. you can suddenly hear at one time tat there is a sudden change in rhythm, and if you have ever march, you wld koe tat its not possible.. so you wld either end up marching in a different motion compared to the others (ie, ppl march left leg, you march right leg!), or as the RSMs call it, psycho-motor (ie, you march with right hand right leg).. so ya..

Haix.. dun tok abt it lah.. and at camp (esp. within my shift), ppl suddenly koe abt my jaywalking fine issue.. tats weird.. maybe they have read my blog loh.. haix..

We had quite a lot of free time/rest during the rehearsals, so Boon Sen, Kokwei, Yizhou and myself like discuss details for our Malaysia ORD Trip.. so ya.. the more we chat, the more excited am I to look forward for our trip!

After rehearsal this morning, went back to bus and as usual, felt very shacked and therefore I slept in the bus.. it was so so comfortable lah..

Reach camp and went to Cookhouse for lunch.. and after tat, its back to bunk, bathe and sleep for abt 30 mins before falling in for some final debrief by my officer abt our mounting schedules and stuff..

I somewhat knew my mounting dates liaox.. and I'm pleased to announce tat at last (after close to half a yr), I'm able to attend church! Yes lah! Able to see my church mates again!! =) But the 2 Saturdays after tat (9/9 & 16/9), I'm not able to go becos its my duty day.. haix.. But wats comforting is tat frm 23/9 onwards, I can go to church liaox becos its clearing leave mah! In fact, I am 24 days to clearing leave! =) Isn't tat fast? Ha.. dun envy me!! =P

Then after tat, went back to bunk and wait till time to book out..

Booked out of camp, came home and watch TV (the 7pm show on Channel 8, and Singapore Idol!).. Then login into Net and blog this loh! =)

Going to sleep soon liaox.. Getting tired.. surf the net a bit more then I go sleep =)

Oh.. tml is my shift's mass off.. so ya.. so I can sleep in again! Yeh!! =).. But nite time need to bk in again loh, becos Fri (1/9) got Parade mahx!! =)

Trip settled but kenna fine!!

Haix.. today is an unfortunate (in Hokkien, they call it "sway") day for me lah.. haix.. read on...

I received a call yesterday frm the tour agency tat my hotel confirmation is confirmed liaox, however, Hotel is charging an additional S$10 per night (as a surcharge) for our triple sharing room.. So becos we stayed 2 nites in the triple sharing room (which is a bigger room - deluxe room : which has 2 queen size beds), there is a total of S$20 for 2 nites!.. haix.. so each one of us have to fork out $158.20 instead of $154.20.. (an additional $4 per person loh!).. so ya..
Then the person asked me yesterday whether is all rite.. I could only answer her, "I guess I have to accept it right? Do I have a choice.."

So ya.. so I've got full payments frm 2 persons yesterday nite liaox, so becos its enuf to pay the balance, I therefore decided to go to the tour agency in Beach Road to pay loh, since today I'm on off.. so want to settle this once and for all..

So in the morning after I woke up, ate my breakfast, went to withdraw the money frm my account and put it in my UOB account to pay the balance.. I dun want to like carry so much cash ard.. so ya..

Then the nearest UOB Bank is at Serangoon Gardens.. so I took a bus frm my place to Serangoon Gardens loh.. then after tat, I wanted to go to Beach Road.. so bus 136 came but then wat I didnt realise is tat it didnt go the way which I tot it wld go.. so in the end, I was somehow "hor-lan" but then find my way back to a familiar place to take bus.. but I've walked close to 2km to the place becos I hor-lan mahx.. remember? =).. I was so so tempted to take a cab and settle once and for all, but nevertheless, I didnt lah.. becos wanna save money =)

When I reach tat familiar place, went to a bus-stop which has buses which I koe confirm will go to Beach Road.. its either bus 100 or bus 133.. so ya..

In the end, bus 133 came, boarded the bus and sat till Lavendar MRT (which a norm becos the bus doesnt alight me directly in front of Golden Mile Complex, unlike bus 100, but bus 100 takes quite long to reach.. so ya..)

Then I was like doing my normal route.. cut thru the HDB flats and then jaywalk this stretch of road.. and guess wat! I kenna stopped by the Traffic Policeman (TP) who was situated there.. I at first was like wondering how come nobody jaywalk, which usually I saw ppl do so.. but then I guess it was too early, so no one did so..

When I cross the road midway, I heard 1 old man shouting "aiyoh".. but didnt care becos I tot he is mad or sumthing.. then, I saw tat traffic policeman (TP) asking me to go over and he started to question me..

TP: "Are you in a hurry?"
Me: "Ya.. I'm mtg my friends in 5 minutes at Golden Mile (I said a lie lah! shhh..).. so I guess I'm running late.."

TP: (Thinks a while..) "Do you koe its very dangerous to jaywalk?"
Me: "Err.. ya.."

TP: "There are pedestrian crossings and overhead bridge. Why you didnt use them? I'm sure it won't take much of your time by using these road-safety facilities right?"
Me: "Ya.."

TP: "Are you a local or a foreigner?"
Me: "Local. (I wanted to tell him foreigner then see wat is his response, but didnt in the end, becos if kenna find out, dun koe wat else they wld charge me with!")

TP: "As a Singaporean, you should know the rules of the road..."
Me: (I was juz expecting a warning frm the TP saying tat next time don't do it again or you would be booked!)

TP: "Can you pass me your IC? You would be fine $20 for jaywalking!"
Me: (Shocked!)(Pass him my IC) I then asked how I going to make the payment?

TP: "In 2 wks time, you are gonna receive a letter frm the Traffic Police saying tat you have to pay your fine, and you can do so at the AXN stations!"
Me: "Ok.. " (went off with a pissed off and disappointed look!)

Then I was thinking how come today I so sway? Paid $20 for something which I've done like over and over again in years and no one told me tat I'm not suppose to jaywalk along tat stretch of road! Never did I see or heard ppl have been fined by TP for something minor like jaywalking! And the TP ppl were so good man.. they camouflage themselves so well lah! haix.. Its either I'm blind or they camouflage themselves so well.. haix.. Its like usually in camp I catch ppl commit offences, but now, I'm the one who kenna caught.. haix.. sianx..

Reached the tour agency and paid the balance liaox.. then went home in bus 100.. cant be bother to go back to Lavendar MRT and take bus (though its faster).. super pissed off lah.. I lost $20 juz like tat.. haix..

After tat, I SMSed a few friends abt my fine.. then come home, I msged ppl on MSN telling them tat I got a fine and all of them thought it was a joke (becos they have also never heard ppl got fine becos of jaywalking lah!).. I told them the whole story and they sympathise with me lah (except for one guy.. who said, "serve me rite".. dun wish to reveal who he is.. dun koe whether its purposely or playfully lah.. but watever! he koe who he is!).. haix.. super sway..

Juz thinking abt this incident, I was super angry lah! haix.. but wat to do? I tot I can have a clean record, but now, see.. I've not even drive and I got a traffic offence liaox.. haix.. can't imagine if I drive, wld there be any? hahax.. when I drive then talk lah hor =)

Then ya.. reached home and went to buy lunch (which was teochew porridge, which was yummy but expensive!).. juz 3 dishes (some mince meat, stingray and salted raddish fried egg cost me a whopping $4) and the porridge is $0.50.. real ex lah! haix..

After my lunch, bathe and blog loh.. Then as my usual practice, I wld see my friends' blogs b4 I continued blogging.. and I actually saw one of my sgt's (Sgt Yifu) blogs in Friendster, and man oh man.. It was certainly touching! I almost teared whilst reading his post.. he actually paid "tribute" and said how he miss the GOH shift (after 1/9, our shift wld be permanently "broken up" and all of us wld juz go back to the shifts and each of us go our separate way for some will clear leave for ORD and stuff!..)
So thinking of which, I may well miss my GOH shift too! It's juz like last yr.. its very hard to break up after close to 6 mths together, toiling thru all the bad and good times tat we as a shift had to bear! so ya.. haix.. this shift is breaking soon after 01/09/06.. so sad.. oops.. I better stop or else, I wld tear! Its real sad.. Never mind.. I shall leave until after 1/9 then I blog abt the breakup the shift and express my thanks and stuff.. but in the meantime, there is like 3 more days tat we (as a GOH Shift) can bond and gel with each other.. so ya.. I will definately cherish the 3 days I will have with the shift =)..

Ok lah.. enuf said! I'm gonna log off Internet soon, as I got to eat my dinner and bk in tonite by 2300, becos tml morning have 1 last drill rehearsal before the actual Parade on 1/9.. so ya..

Rehearsals & more rehearsals...

Woke up super shacked and early this morning at 0545, becos 0630 draw arms and 0645 fall in as bus come to my base to pick us up to Tengah Airbase for our rehearsals..

I tell you when I reached there, I was super shacked! I had no mood to do drills at all! Do you believe it? I almost fell asleep whilst doing the drills and I felt giddy at times! But I still perservere on.. Though I felt myself very unsteady at times when I tried to march straight and balance myself.. so ya..

Anyway, after which, went back camp (and guess wat! I slept so soundly in the bus lah, tat I didnt even koe we have reached back camp! Its like I've only slept for 5 mins.. hahax..)

Wanted to take half-day off today, but didnt lah, due to only 5 ppl can take off and I plan to be on off tml (Tues - 29/8).. so if I take off, it wld be unfair for ppl like Boon Sen & Kok Wei, becos they P1 tml (tues - 29/8) mahx.. So ya..

So went to Cookhouse to eat lunch (had the Field Defence Course [FDC] PC, 2LT Sean, eating with us..) and then I went back to bunk and really slept.. Slept until its time to go home loh! =).. so ya..

Then becos my hair is real long, I wanna cut it becos got Parade on Fri mahx.. So anyway, I actually want to go to the hair salon opposite my hse (which Zijing recommended) to cut (I was thinking since going to ORD liaox, so go somewhere else and cut.. dun wanna go to Malay barber to cut anymore!)..

But then when I reach the salon, it somewhat look like it closed.. so I had no choice but to go to Central area (near my hse lah) to see whether there are any.. I was so tempted to go back to my hairstylist (which I did b4 I enlisted into NS), but then with a price of $18, I simply can't afford it!! Too expensive!

So I remembered my dad telling me tat there is another newly opened hair salon (chinese barber, but look like so high class), which he believes it is co-owned by my hairstylist.. so ya.. I decided to check it out..

The person who cut my hair for me somewhat looked familar.. he looks like one of the ppl who cut my hair which I like it (Chinese Barber dun usually cut tat good, and this is one tat really earn my praises becos I dun usually praise Chinese Barbers..).. I cldnt confirm his identity.. Then when I sat down at the hair-cutting seat, I had somewhat cfm my suspicions tat it is co-owned by my hairstylist, becos of the particular brand of gel tat the person used; it was EXACTLY the same as my hairstylist!

Minutes into the person cut my hair, my hairstylist wore his sporting gear and came in.. then I turn ard and saw tat it is indeed my hairstylist.. Man.. it was like a familiar friend lah.. we chatted and stuff.. (becos u koe why? My hairstylist is also my family's hairstylist.. so ya.. tats why this hairstylist koes my family very well!).. anyway, we chatted and then I mentioned abt the numerous hair salons tat has popped out recently in my neighbourhood.. my hairstylist cldnt agree more.. than I mentioned how I wanted to try the salon opp. my hse but closed, so therefore I go there and cut.. then he said, "dun need to try.. guarantee!".. hahax.. wat a confidence huh..

Then I asked him a bold question.. he co-owned this shop izzit? He said "ya".. then we cont chatting.. then I told him tat "last time I went to a Chinese Barber to cut, and it was the first time I visited tat shop, and tat man who cut for me was very professional.. then 2nd time I went, I didnt go back anymore, becos the cutter was too slow.. so ya.."
Then my hairstylist asked me, "does tat guy who cut for you in the store for the 1st time you step in the shop (which u like and you said he is professional), is tat the man who is cutting for you now?".. I cldnt agree more! My hairstylist then told me the whole story tat actually, "he poached tat man to come and co-owned the salon with him..".. so ya..
I then told him "no wonder! becos the man who cut for me is so familar, but I cldnt cfm whether its the same man whom I cut! Then the way he "thinned" my hair, has a special cutting way, which I dun see many ppl practice or cut tat way!"..

Before I left, I told him tat I wld be visiting him frm nxt mth onwards for my hair, as I'm working soon and may have the money to spend at least on my hair! And also told him tat I got to attend my cousin's wedding, so going there and cut loh! =).. so ya.. My hairstylist muz be feeling happy, becos he told me my whole family has gone there and cut except me.. so ya..

Then I asked him how much he charge over there.. he said still $18 lah, becos I regular customer.. so ya.. =)..

At the end of the cut, I think the man ask my hairstylist how much he want to charge for my hair.. my hairstylist gave him a $10 sign, but then instead, the man gave me $9 instead.. so ya.. =)..

I came back and told the news to my parents.. and you koe sumthing? I like my hair now! =)

Then came home and was real shacked.. now on computer typing this blogpost.. man.. I'm super tired again.. looks like I've gonna sleep soon!

Yes lah! Tml I'm on off! =).. and u koe wat this means? I can sleep late =)...

So tired.... Zzzzz

Had a real tiring and busy 2 days.. here are my lowdown.. so read on..

Friday (25/8)

This morning woke up at 0800.. Had breakfast before I bathe and went back to camp. By the time I reach camp, it was 1030 already.. Went to eat lunch with Boon Sen at canteen.. Then came back to bunk bathe and go for rehearsal..

Rehearsal was ok.. Today is more of sequence runs. And weather was hot and humid, so sweat a lot! The march past was slightly better.. At least now I koe how to gauge distance.. But one thing needs to be improved is tat the wheeling and taking small steps.. The back ppl I heard was running.. so ya.. Juz hope this cld be solved in time to come..

Then after the rehearsals finish, we waited for our bus to come and then we boarded the bus back to camp.. On the way, all of us in the bus removed our shirts and fold them up into short sleeve, becos we have to attend a post NDP celebration at the spec mess where my base commander presented us our certificate of appreciation for participating in NDP 2006.. had dinner before the presentation..

Dinner was hawker food where it recreates like my last base anniversary whereby foods like satay and fried oysters were being served! So ya.. it was delicious lah!.. And for the first time, I actually finish a cup of tiger beer ALL by myself.. so ya.. I dun koe why suddenly Tiger Beer taste so good lah.. ha.. After taking our certs, my RSM called us to go help cheer the others on as they take their certs.. Man.. You shld see how rowdy we were.. We were like everytime a person pass by us, we shook hands and treat them as if they were some soccer player. But you can see all those ppl really played along with us.. Ha.. Its been so long since we had so much fun!

After the whole event was done, all of us went back to bunk and bathe.. Feeling sleepy, slept at 2115.. Shack sia! Tml mounting somemore.. Sianx.. Sleepy.. Zzz...

Oh.. before I leave this blogpost, here is your weekly Singapore Idol updates! So those of you who are Singapore Idol fans, this is the part you have been waiting for huh.. ha.. so here goes..


Man! This is the first time in Singapore Idol history tat I've spend money to vote for my favourite contestant in Singapore Idol.. so ya.. Quite an achievement isn't it? Hahax.. Sinca one of my favourites (Mathilda) is already out of the competition, I shall not allow my the other favourite, Jonathan Leong, to go out.. becos I believe tat Jon has the nxt best voice lah!!.. so ya..

This week is interesting (Theme: Asian Pop) in a sense tat the Idols belted out their mother tongue hits and there were a few surprises! Paul & Joakim actually belted out Mandarin hits! It was remarkable! Paul came in the biggest surprise becos it was totally unexpected (FYI: On TV, he said he got a distinction grade for his Chinese Oral exam!.. and the judge, Ken, told him tat he actually sang the Mandarin song better than Jasmine and Jonathan)!



Nurul Maideen is the latest contestant on Singapore Idol to be voted out!

She sang "Do You Want My Love" by Coco Lee & "Dia" by Sheila Majid during the "Asian Pop" theme for this week's Spectaculars Show (which happened last Wednesday, 24/08/06)..

Its quite sad tat Nurul is out! Really didnt expect her to be the one.. I always hope Paul wld be out.. I juz cant stand the sight of Paul anymore! Arghh...

The judges commented tat her presentation of songs comes in sweet and nice packages.. everything seemed so smooth and there was no improvement week after week.. Jacintha even told her tat she shld not try to make her song sound so musak-ish and long elevator rides music in Malaysia (ie, when she sang the Malay Song).. but you koe sumthing? Out of the 2 songs tat Nurul sang, I like the Malay song best! So pleasant!! Judge Florence even commented tat she cld be the nxt Siti Nurhaliza (a popular Malaysia singer in Malaysia!) becos she felt tat she was in the Singapore Airlines business class; she felt tat Nurul sang it so smooth & effortless!.. so ya..

But its really a pity tat she's out lah! Haix..


Heard Nurul on Class 95's Morning Express Interview.. I'm really impressed by her happy-go-lucky nature and being generous despite her elimination. She was being interviewed some questions:

(1) At the end of the show, she was heard shouting "Singapore, vote wisely!".. so ppl were asking her whether she was being angry tat Singapore voted her out.. so ya.. but she replied, "this is wat the masses in Singapore wants.. so be it!"

(2) She was also being question as to whether the peer lovey durby is real or wat.. and she said, it is real.. so ya..

(3) The she was being questioned by Glenn as to whether does she feel tat she was being deprived of a singing career with Joakim in the competition becos its clearly stated tat Joakim is really popular but has no singing talent! Nurul didnt like say bad things abt him but in fact, she pitied the poor guy.. She said tat he must be very confused as to who to listen becos his controversy is really big which sparked off the argument tat Singapore is looking the Singapore Idol as a popularity contest rather than a singing contest.. In fact, after hearing her say tat, I also feel a bit sad for Joakim lah..

(4) Then she was asked who does she like the least in the competition and she said Emilee..

(5) Then she was asked who she was most comfortable with, and she said Paul & Hady, becos she can identify and bond really well with both of them..

(6) Before she left, they asked her wat will she do since she is out now.. She said she will look for gigs for her freelancing role as a clown and part-time DJ at the Fountain Of Wealth in Suntec City.. And she also added tat she wld pursue studies in theatre becos its her passion..

So here's frm me to Nurul, all the best in your future endeavours and dun give up your singing dreams. =)

Saturday (26/8)

Today is our last mounting as a GOH shift! .. and becos its the last duty, I decided to do 24hr table duty.. so ya.. its shiong, but I dun mind loh.. for the benefit of the shift mahx.. =).. Last shift mounting liaox..

So ya.. but there was an extra personnel helping me to do my duty frm 1100-1700 (he is clearing his 'extras').. so if you want to count properly, I only did 18hrs of duty.. The rest of the shift are on abt 10hrs duty only.. so ya.. Becos its our last mounting, my officer treated my whole shift to each 1 pkt of Nasi Lemak for supper! So sweet rite =)

So during my free time, I discussed my Malaysia ORD trip details with my friends.. so ya.. it has come to a decision tat she shall take the Singapore Package which each of us pay $154.20 for a 3D2N KL Federal Hotel (Free & Easy) stay (daily breakfast provided for all pax) and the coach is frm Singapore to the hotel's lobby! What a bargain rite! =).. so ya.. will be doing up an itinerary soon.. so ya..

Once details are confirmed, I wld like most prob go down to Beach Road to bk the trip.. so ya.. Just hope I can get the details out by tonite, so I can go tml.. Wanna get this over and done with ASAP.. =)

Had a great time doing table, where I have the whole place to myself.. Happily packing up the place and do the necessart adminstrative stuff! Best!! =)

Oh.. Thanx Boon Sen whol help me settle my meals (ie, help me & take the trouble to bring it to my duty place.. Thanx again =)..)

Sunday (27/8)

Dismounted duty.. Went home.. shared cab with Boon Sen becos I need to rush out of hse to go to Beach Road to bk my tour.. so ya..

When I reach home, I do the normal stuff.. then bathe and wait for my parents call tat they are almost reaching Beach Road, becos the bus tat they took takes abt an hr to reach Beach Road.. Earlier in the day, my parents went to visit my grandma at the Nursing Home in Changi.. so ya..

After bathe and stuff, pack my bags before my parents call and I was out of the hse..

When I reached there, my parents & I walked to the tour agency.. there, we went to the tour agency and I made the booking and pay the necessary amt. of deposits.. of course, I did re-confirm the details before I confirmed the booking and paid the deposit.. so ya..

So after bking, my parents and I walked down Beach Road, and my mum wanted to have prawn noodles for lunch.. so we walk almost near the end, and then my mum saw the shop, "Blanco Court Prawn Noodles".. so ya.. sounds good, so we went in..
The verdict? Not bad.. I like the soup =).. but it was quite expensive and portion not very big.. so ya.. but wat to do.. haix..

Then we walked down to Bugis Junction to walk walk, before proceeding to Suntec City to meet one of my parents church friends, Aunty Agnes, for dinner.. so ya..

So at Bugis, we walked loh.. seeing clothing and stuff.. then we took an MRT to Suntec and of course, we walked Citylink & Marina Square.. saw a white t-shirt sweater/pullover at Giordano Marina Square.. Man. it was super nice lah! After discussing my mum (as to whether it is suitable to wear for my cousin's wedding at Botanical Gardens nxt mth, 30/09..).. So my mum nice.. so ya.. The last piece they have was Medium size.. Mum said a bit too small, but I find it ok.. but Mum said go somewhere to look for large size.. so ya..

Walked to Suntec and then bought the shirt.. Actually, it was like no more liaox, but after finding frm the pile of clothes tat ppl have tried on in the fitting room, they found the last piece of 'L' size.. fwah! I tell you.. so nice lah.. =).. Tat shirt cost me $39.00.. but becos I got member's 15% discount, it wld be $33.15.. so ya..

Then actually I had no intention to like extend my Giordano membership, but then the clothings now is like so nice lah!! So ya.. so I may juz consider getting it! =).. see how lah! I have to clock combined or single receipts of $100 and above withing 2 mths frm Sept onwards.. so ya.. =).. I was telling my mum tat when I was abt to give up my membership, Giordano came up with such nice season clothings.. ha..

Then after buying, went walk walk a bit more before mtg up my parent's guest (Aunty Agnes) for dinner @ the foodcourt.. so ya.. had sweet and sour pork rice which was horrible.. haix..

This is the largest Cafe Latte tat I've drank! Man! The latte was ok, except tat after u have drank half cup, you wld feel full.. So before the waitress cleared our table, I asked her whether the latte has full cream milk and whether it was only 1 size.. so ya.. she said "yes".. I was like "fwah! I'm full lah!" hahax..

This is the Oilo's Carrot Cake tat my dad ate! Its not bad lah, quite the one at Celede Bakery Depot is better =)..

This is the Lychee Fruitie Drink tat Aunty Agnes drink! Looks not bad huh =).. I think the big white round ball you see in this photo is vanilla gelato.. so ya..

Man! This is one of their new desserts! Its actually Durian Puree with Vanilla Gelato (served with pancakes).. Man.. this is shiok.. but if the puree is like D24 or sumthing, it wld be even better! The taste of durian is not as strong enuf!.. so ya.. But this is a great combination! So all you durian lovers, this is for you =)

This is the Oilo's brownie tat my mum had.. This brownie is interesting.. It is served on a hotplate, and when the waiter comes to your table, they pour the chocolate onto the hotplate and you can immediately see the chocolate bubbling on the hotplate (juz like wat u see in this picture!).. it taste not bad though! The nuts were the perfect addition to the brownie lah! But its a bit sweet for me, though my mum said its not so sweet.. hmm.. to each his/her own preference.. maybe you cld try and tell me whether u like it.. =)

This is my dessert! Best rite? Looks yummy! It is actually called, "tropical delight sundae!".. It is made up of Mango sorbet, lychee sorbet and coconut gelato, and served with a generous topping of whipped cream, some fruit cocktails, some green syrup and nuts! This is world best! So refreshing! =).. you shld try it! =)















After I had this meal, went home immediately and rush, becos I agreed to pick up Boon Sen in a cab to go back to camp.. so in the end, I was 30 mins late.. so ya.. Sorry Boon Sen =)..

Went back to camp.. bathe and slept.. Once I lied on the bed, I didnt wake up until it was time to do so the nxt day.. super sleepy lah...

2 days have juz been past by!!

23/08/06 (Wednesday)

Yesterday was my exact day to 1 mth of my clearing-leave-day (22/9)! Was super happy lah! Its like the moment tat I've been waiting for! =)..

Anyway, went for drill this morning.. Drill was ok, except tat the weather was super hot.. and not to mention tat the reserve Parade RSM was again, really cannot make it! Too sick and tired to continue blogging abt it.. haix.. its really true.. this RSAF Day Parade is really nothing to look forward to! I dun koe why.. I juz dun have the pride to do this Parade.. cld it be becos I have gone for the super 'big' Parade like NDP, and then suddenly, I'm doing a scaled down Parade.. I dun koe.. I juz wanna get this over and done with!!

When I was at the base, I got instructions frm my P1 sgt tat we (as a P1 grp) have to do duty (both P1 duty and dismounting shift duty) as well as FDC contingency drill demonstration at nite.. I tell you.. I was really pissed off lah.. my friends were all shocked at my behaviour! I think they have never seen me so angry b4.. so now they do.. haha.. but coming back to it, its really ridiculous; have to mount duty a few hrs after we came back frm rehearsals.. I told Zijing (my sec sch friend who is also in GOH but in Tengah Airbase as an RP) abt wat I had to do after the rehearsal when I'm back at base, and he exclaim "huh" in a shocking manner lah!! Its tat bad!
So back at base we went, with me in a very "seh" and tiring mood (I slept all the way thruout the journey!).. Then I went to cookhouse and eat my lunch (which was fried fish beehoon! fwah! world best! my fave!).. then went up to have a quick shower, before I went down to the conference room for some suggestion thing which each one of us must clocked at least 3 approved and paid suggestions.. and thank God, in a period of 1 mth, I managed to do so and got $5 for each suggestion by SAF.. ha.. not bad huh.. But those who do not have 1, wld be confined.. so ya.. poor thing!

Got news frm my P1 sgt tat my P1 duty was frm 1500-1700! Thank goodness, becos juz as I started my duty, I got a headache.. so ya.. but my P1 sgt (Sgt Yifu) was so nice.. he actually told us (the P1s) to rest and the FDC drill demostration wld be done by the confinees.. so ya.. so at least not too bad.. at least I got to rest!

(FYI: Boon Sen & Kok Wei did not serve their P1.. so its only left Samuel & me.. so ya..).. and during my P1 duty, I was not allowed to "rest in peace" becos half of the time, Samuel kept pestering me abt giving him suggestions, so tat he need not be confined nxt wk, which is a order passed down by my officer.. so ya..).. but it was quite fun lah.. at least time pass more quickly loh.. but after thinking, my headache got worse! So Sam, u owe me one! =P

Went to cookhouse with Yeow Siang & Samuel to eat dinner.. Dinner was alright!.. quite nice =).. Then went back bunk and bathe.. watch TV (both the 7pm show on Channel 8, as well as Singapore Idol!)

Singapore Idol was interesting, becos its Asian Pop week.. and man! I'm so waiting for this to happen lah! =).. Btw, I voted for Jonathan Leong twice (tat cost me $1.20!).. I have decided.. after Matilda's departure, I think I shld vote for the best talent.. and I think Jonathan Leong shld be the next Singapore Idol! He delivered his best lah! Was so impressed with his singing! =).. Let's juz see the results tml (24/8) to see how they fared and stuff! Oh man! Singapore Idol fever is juz so getting into me =)

Was super sleepy but I still hold on to my seat and kept awake until Singapore Idol finishes at 2130! I didnt expect it to be so long; I tot by 2100 I cld sleep.. but apparently no.. oh well..

Really "konged" off to Dreamland at abt 2145.. and really had a good nite sleep thru! =)

24/08/06 (Thursday)

Woke up one time this morning at 0245 (becos I have felt I slept too much and wanted to see whether its time to get up!).. but seeing it too early, went back to sleep but only to wake up again at 0538.. Felt cold, so covered myself with blanket.. this time really cannot sleep liaoz, so juz close my eyes loh..

The time came where Sam & I went down to Guardroom to do duty.. so ya.. did duty till 0815, and was allowed to go back to bunk!! Minutes later, bathe and then tried to sleep on my bed but to no avail.. we both wanted to wait for Boon Sen & Kok Wei to eat breakfast, but then, to our surprise, they have eaten.. so at 0930, we both went to eat..

At 1000, fall in to fill water barricades.. and man.. this really took the toll of us.. Then I went to fill the water barricades and there was another gate to be filled, but then the vehicle can't take so many ppl (there were abt 7 of us in total!), so 4 of us stayed back to wait.. But then something misfortunate happened, and the 4 of us who stayed back to wait, had to walk back to bunk (which is abt 1km away!) and walk quite fast, becos when we started walking, it was 1115 liaoz and we had to attend an OC talk/briefing/lesson at 1130, so punctuality is impt!

Quickly went up to bathe and shower and then went to the briefing place.. we waited and waited and then our officer came back and tell us tat it has been cancelled, so becos most of us take half day off, my officer had also a deadline to finish filling up the water barricades, so he made us stayed back to fill the barricades.. haix.. so we did.. Boon Sen, Kok Wei, Samuel, Sgt Weiming & me, went to fill up the water barricades loh..

At last at 1340, we finished everything and went back bunk to bathe, before we bk out (becos we on half-day off mah!)..

Went to AMK's S11 coffeeshop to buy my fave chicken rice =).. Yummy! And bought a bit of fruits for my family.. so ya.. =)..

Today is really one day which I really think a lot.. below are my explanations:

(1) For nxt wk's RSAF Day Parade, cfm I muz cut hair.. so I was thinking whether shld I go to the salon, which Zijing recommended me which is juz opposite my hse, and it costs me $10. The usual Malay barber juz cost me $8.. but oh well.. I think I shld try sumthing new, since its near my clear leave period.. =).. So ya..

(2) My cousin is getting married nxt mth (30/9) @ Botanic Gardens.. so ya.. and you koe wat this means?
I most prob will do up my hair at my usual hairstylist (which I didnt visit him for 2 yrs liaoz becos of NS and no $$ liaoz.. but now ORD liaoz, so shld go back to him lah.. and mind you.. his cut and blow is not cheap.. its $18 lah! Last time was $18 -2 yrs ago.. now, I dun koe.. He is my family hairstylist now lah!.. ha..)..
At the same time, this is really taking the toll of me.. wat shld I wear for the wedding? hmm.. any advice? =).. or sumone want to go shopping with me? I wld either get it in Singapore or when I'm in KL for my ORD trip.. so ya.. Man.. getting new clothings and shopping for one is certainly my favourite pastime =)

(3) The planning of my ORD Malaysia trip is almost done.. 50%.. it juz needs decision as to the dates we are going to KL, and whether we want to take the package in Singapore or we go there and then we bk the hotel.. so ya.. But I think the most probable option wld be taking the package in Singapore.. though its slightly more expensive, but then its safer (in terms of transaction) and more convenient.. Talks are still on the way.. so ya.. =)

(4) One by one, my cousins and my close friends are getting their Class 3 license. And becos my competency nature, I feel tat I shldn't lose out!
Ppl now in my camp are like either have gotten their license, and best still, a minority few have even a car to drive!! So I think I shld not be the one who lose out!
So now my current plan is to be determined to learn my driving, and if possible, complete and get my licence end of 2007! Big ambition rite? But its possible! =).. I hope! =)

(5) Wld I want to wear this almost chui specs of mine (which I'm wearing now) when I work? I dun think so.. so when I work, I want to make a half-frame specs. I think it wld look quite good on me.. *thick skin*..

(6) I have been offered a part-time job by my mum's babysitting baby's mum, dealing with freelance teaching.. dun koe wat it is exactly.. but I got the feeling like its more of like being a facilitator to the students (dun koe teach wat to the students!)as well as also do some sai-kang.. Dun really koe wat it is.. wonder how much I'm paid and how well-paid the job is.. so ya.. I will see how, but most prob, I wont be working lah.. becos I dun like to work with familar ppl. very stress.. moreover, I wld see the boss (my mum's babysitting baby's mum) everyday.. so ya..

Am I stressed or wat? I have never tot of so many things on a single day leh!

Then today I got into a misunderstanding with a good friend of mine.. Felt real sad lah.. Not willing/convenient to divulge details (pls dun ask me who also!).. but he shld koe who he is.. so wat I juz want to say is tat if you are reading this, I juz wanna say again tat "I'm sorry! I didnt mean to hurt you! I'm really sorry! Can you forgive me?"

Haix.. such a sad thing has to happen to me today.. haix..

Oh.. I took half day off today and tml morning off, so bk in camp by 1100.. so ya.. so can sleep a bit late tonite.. and tml-sun, I wont be coming home.. becos tml (25/8) got a post-NDP celebration at my base spec mess, with my Base Commander giving us the NDP appreciation certificate.. so ya.. Last yr was my CO.. this yr is Base Commander.. upgrade liaoz.. ha.. tell u.. tml sure have Tiger Beer one.. haha.. so can drink for an ORD toast.. ha.. juz hope tml have lah hor =)..

Then Sat (26/8) do duty loh.. sianx.. oh.. this is the last mounting as GOH Shift liaoz.. so ya.. haix..

Ok lah.. gtg liaox and surf my other stuff in Internet! =)

ORD Medical FFI done!

Woke up this morning at 0845 and then had breakfast.. followed by me ironing my 3 No. 4 uniforms and kiwi my boots.. Man! I took 1.5 solid hrs to do this!

Then bathe and I was out of the hse and on my way to camp for my medical FFI which was scheduled at 1330! Left hse abt 1200, and by the time I reach my camp, it was 1230.. walked up slowly along the long road.. seeing tat it was still too early , I went over to Spec Mess to have my lunch.. saw some FDC specs, chatted with them, whilst waiting for my lunch (fried rice & black pepper chicken chop!).. so ya.. it was delicious..

When I was done, saw Sidney at Spec Mess buying lunch, and he asked me whether am I going back to bunk becos he was driving my TO's (training officer) car.. I think he want to show me his driving skills =P.. but I didnt sit in the end, becos I've got to go for my medical FFI mahz.. so bro.. perhaps nxt time =)

After I was done with my lunch, went over to medical centre for my FFI.. tat was abt 1310.. reported and I waited.. and waited.. and waited.. and you koe wat time did I get to see the MO (Medical Officer)? At 1530!! I waited for 2 hours loh!

When I went in, the doctor was there asking me if there was any problems.. I highlighted 2 problems to him, but he said it was minor issues.. dun need to worry abt it.. so ya.. so within 5 mins, I was out of the MO room.. and then Samuel & I (who were with me for FFI as well!) proceeded over to the NS section to hand in the FFI form.. so ya..

And by the time all these were done, it was abt 1610.. so ya.. Came home by bus.. stop over at AMK S11 to buy dinner home (mum not cooking).. wanted to buy carrot cake advertised on TV, which actually means I have to board a bus (which wld take me home) and alight somewhere, and after buying the carrot cake, have to wait and board the same bus to get home.. but to my dismay, the carrot cake store was not open.. so this means tat I made a wasted trip loh! haix..

Then reached home and now on this blog thingy loh.. After which, I have to have my dinner and book in camp tonite, becos tml have RSAF Day Parade rehearsals in the morning.. which means I have to wake up at 0600.. haix..

Ok lah.. gtg and do my other stuff liaoz; which include continued researching on net for my ORD Malaysia Trip to KL.. so ya.. =).. Cya ppl..

Parade day again..

Well.. bk in camp yesterday nite with like so many ppl lah.. there were the FDC trainees' parents (who brought them up to camp) and the supporting contingent for RSAF Day Parade, becos early morning they need to leave liaox.. so ya.. Then of course, we bk in also..

Went up to camp and bathe and off I went on my bed.. Once I laid on my bed, within 5 minutes, I started sleeping..

Woke up at 0600 this morning half dead.. wanted to sleep somemore, but didnt.. woke up and then went Cookhouse to eat breakfast, which was porridge (didn't felt full of course!)..

Then we drew arms and off we went to Tengah.. was the last GOH contingent to reach, becos there were some miscommunication in the drawing of arms..

Anyway, when we went there, we practice the programme for wet weather.. did a few sequence runs, b4 we proceed to the original Parade Square (which was so darn hot!) for 2 sequence runs..

So as usual, during march past, I was super stressed with all the same problems.. More or less the problems have been resolved but then I'm still not happy with my performance (as in maintaining distance).. I wld try my very best to improve lah.. juz hope it turns out well on the actual day..

Come to think of it, the actual Parade is nxt Fri (1/9).. super fast lah.. then today a sad thing happen.. my best buddy in Parade, Ann tat, has been separated frm me (as in not side by side anymore.. its more of like alternate space!).. so sad hor.. I was stunned (or shld I say I didnt get used to it lah.. becos I dun have someone to trust, as to whether I landed on the right spot or march too fast!.. so ya.. Ann Tat wld usually tell me during the marching or stuff but now the new guy, dun do it at all.. so ya.. Juz hope tat sooner or later, Ann tat wld be nxt to me & I have all the confidence tat I wld be on the right spot! =)

Came back to bunk and bathe and went downstairs to hear my officer talk! After which, we left camp for half-day off becos my officer want us to clear leave.. so tml I also on 1 full day off, but then in the afternoon, have to go back camp for a while, to settle my medical FFI.. My medical FFI has been pushed back for quite a while liaox, so if I dun do it this time, then no time liaox.. so ya.. so no choice.. my off have to be kenna 'jia' loh!

Came back home by bus.. Ate lunch at home.. then bathe again (weather was super hot!).. then now, writing this blog loh!

Tonite have to continue looking for room rates for my ORD Malaysia Trip in KL.. tml have to iron my 3 uniforms and kiwi my parade boots, as I plan to go for my medical FFI with my smart 4 uniform (dun want to go bunk at all!).. so ya.. gonna have a busy day ahead..

Ok lah.. I'm going to go for my afternoon nap liaox.. super sleepy! Catch ya all soon =)

A hectic weekend..

Well.. here are my updates for the 4 days (which some of you may think where the heck am I?).. so here it is..

Thursday (17/08/06)

Today went to camp then eat breakfast.. Then we got a briefing frm my OC..

After which, I went to bunk and sleep, only to be woken up by my friend.. As dazed as I can be, I didnt koe wat he is talking abt, so I called my sgt to clarify. Then after tat, my sgt told us my whole P1 grp had to mount duty.. Some of us were shocked becos we were promised tat since we did duty last tuesday, we need not do duty.. We juz had to do our speedtrap (I think my P1 grp is jinxed or smthing becos everytime speedtrap is my P1 grp dp.. but wat to do? haix..)

In the end, my friends becos its being last minute, they woke up immediately to bathe whilst I didnt and juz went to guardroom.. When I went there, I did duty immediately.. Seeing my friends tat I'm sure they dun want to do a 4 hr straight duty, I volunteered loh!

Then 2 hrs later, a miscommunication happened and as a result, Samuel got angry.. Managed to get Samuel to cool off... I called my sgt abt whether Samuel & Kokwei need to do speedtrap becos they do duty liaox then still must do speedtrap. My sgt said dun need so at least I managed to appease Sam lah.. Then I ask abt myself as to whether need to do.. My sgt say indirectly I need to do.. So I said ok becos if I dun do, then not enuf manpower liaox..

Then I pyed back to Sam & Kokwei tat they dun need to do speedtrap.. Then Sam asked me why was I so stupid to still do speedtrap despite tat I did a 4 hr duty.. I then replied tat I have no choice becos not enuf manpower.. I was thinking to myself, if I dun do and inist not doing, then not enuf ppl liaox.. so ya.. I was thinking if I was to do, then I resolve the problem liaox.. so ya.. its resolved in the end lah.. Sam was also very sweet initially, becos he asked me whether want to switch duties becos I no aircon duty.. I said nvm lah.. so sweet of Sam rite? This is the first time I see him like this lah.. Then went to spec mess to eat dinner which is super little lah!

Not enuf initially ebcos I was darn hungry.. Then I tot of go back bunk to consume noodles.. But as the night pass by, I was ok with it and then sleep at 2145 for the nite.. Too tired..

Friday (18/08/06)

I lost my beloved pen today.. It was a case of missing pen. In my squadron, tats how life owrks; finders keepers! Moreover, tat is a new pen which I have bought yesterday! No wonder my sgt said we RPs need to have a few pens becos it gets lost easiy! Haix.. then a miracle happened when I'm in bunk; Kokwei found my pen frm dun koe where and he returned it to me! Man! I was so elated lah!!

Slept for a while before going to canteen for lunch.. Btahe then off I went in the "oh-so-hot" bus! Was practically sweating thru'out the trip lah.. Reach there and I tell you, the holding area is super hot!

Drills today are not as shiong as last wk but the weather is enuf to kill! Haix.. did a few sequence runs and marching.. haix..
It was simply very stressful for me becos I was one of the 3 leading men to lead the second GOH contingent for the march past.. It was CMI (Cannot Make It) at first, but after a few runs, it was ok liaox but it still need improvement! Juz hope I can master the art of maintaining distance for the actual Parade..

Came back to bunk feeling super hungry.. Went out with Boon Sen, Kokwei & Yizhou to NorthPoint for dinner.. Ate Burger King and then we juz walk walk ard the place loh..

Shared cab to bunk and then once at bunk, all 4 of us began to discuss our ORD trip details becos we realised tat the time is drawing nearer.. After 15 mins, we reach a consensus of a place.. But we have to find out more abt it in terms of cost, etc.. so I wld be the one in charge of finding it out and stuff.. so ya..

After discussing, it was already 2240 liaox.. I felt tired and then I slept for the nite..

This wk's genre (Rock) is not really a 'thing' for me, becos if you koe me enuf, I HATE rock! so ya.. Retro rock still acceptable but still dun like.. =P.. Anyway, here is the ups and downs of this wk's episode of Singapore Idol!



Mathilda D Silva is the latest contestant on Singapore Idol to be voted out!

She sang "Living On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi during the "Rock The House" theme for this week's Spectaculars Show (which happened last Wednesday, 16/08/06).. The judges commented tat her singing was ok, but Jacinta & Ken commended tat she "tried too hard"..

Man! This wk's results were really disappointing! I was expecting someone else (other than Mathilda - becos she's my fave singer!) to be eliminated.. haix..

This wk's grouping were also very weird, becos Paul Twohill was asked to choose a grp which he think is safe! And he chose grp 1 (which is Mathilda, Hady & Jonathan).. but surprisingly, grp 2 (Joakim, Jasmine & Nurul) were safe and this makes grp 1 very dangerous as 1 person would be eliminated from the competition!.. So I was like quite happy tat Paul Twohill was in tat dangerous group, becos he has a chance of being eliminated and I was crossing my fingers tat Paul wld be eliminated rather than the other 3 (Mathilda, Jonathan & Hady).. but the moment came when Paul was announced to be safe.. I was like WTH! haix.. then the unexpected came.. Mathilda was eliminated! I was totally shocked for a while.. How can anyone so good be eliminated? Its real shocking lah! I regretted not voting for her.. haix.. =(.. I tot she wld be safe at least till the final 3 or sumthing.. haix.. but now.. =(

Mathilda appeared on Class 95's Morning Express interview at 0924, and of course, I managed to caught the interview.. In the interview, both Glenn & the Flying Dutchman (FD) was so shocked and fustrated tat Mathilda was eliminated! Haix.. But wat's puzzling me is tat Mathilda actually remained so happy and calm.. In fact, I wld think she feels tat she was happy to be eliminated.. was tat all for show or was she really happy? haix..
Anyway, I wld like to wish Mathilda all the best in her future singing career =)

Oh.. during the Singapore Idol extra session, I think Joakim & Rahimah is an item or else Joakim won't cry so hard when Rahimah was eliminated last wk.. but yet on the show, Joakim denied all these.. haix.. Scandals perhaps? =)

Next wk's is Asian Pop week and the Idols wld be singing 2 songs each; and one of their songs wld be in their mother tongue! Man.. it wld be so interesting to see the Idols singing in their mother tongue! So ya.. I'm glued to the TV for the incoming episode of Singapore Idol! Won't you to? =)

Saturday (19/08/06)

Today duty in camp and when I'm off duty, I called up the tour agency to check on my ORD trip to KL.. I think I called the agency and spoke to everyone who was present at work at the agency.. Ha.. Tats how many times I called and make enquires.. Scary isn't it? Manage to come up with 6 options for the trip and decision is still pending.. Quite fun..

Anyway, my duty strength was super qui (5 ppl are missing; they either on off or on 10C).. Hiax.. In the end, 12 ppl are at the guardroom and have to guard the camp for 24 hrs! So each is getting abt 10hrs of duty.. And you koe wats worse? I got the worse duty of the day (0100-0500 gate duty).. This is the killer period becos this time is any normal human sleeping time.. I tell you, it was indeed very hard for me to try to keep myself awake, but I did keep myself awake by various means (eg: kept walking ard and talking some common topics with my partner).. Thank God for tat lah!.. Then I went to sleep at 0500.. so shacked!..

Oh.. one more thing... Yesterday I ordered MacDonald's .. And I requested specifically tat I want 4 boxes of curry sauce.. But when the delivery came, it only came with 2 boxes!

I immediately called up to complain.. I first called the Mac hotline and complain.. Then they refer me to their Manager, then after a hilwe, then they replied to me.. Then I asked whether there was any other forms of compensation, they said 'no'..

I was quite pissed off with their reply becos no compensation but at least they agreed to send me the 2 curry sauce! Just as I finished my meal, I wanted to call the Mac branch which delievered my order tat they need not bother to send me my curry sauce as I had finished eating my meal liaox..

Juz then, the person came with the sauce.. And I was on the phone with the branch manager becos I request for me to speak to the manager when the branch picks up the call.. I told the branch manager abt the situation and express my dismay.. I then told the manager tat they shld adhere to customer's request no matter wat! I added tat if they are so particular with the condiment policy, then thwy shld reject my requets right frm the start when I began to request for curry sauce though I did not order nuggets..

And on the order chit, I did specify how many boxes of curry sauce they give me and they never fail to meet my number until today.. Wat makes this exception? So ya..

Before I put down the call, I also told them tat they didnt even give me serviettes.. I'm sure serviettes is not a controlled item and yet they forgotten to give.. so ya.. Of course, I spoke to the manager in a polite way but yet make my pt known at the same time.. The manager was very nice in a sense tat she listens to my every commend patiently.. So ya..

You all may think I'm a difficult customer (becos I also think so) rite? But I feel its not! Its juz a matter of practicing my consumer rights! I can't take it when slipshot customer service is given! So ya..

Just hope tat MacDonald's doesn't get into my nerves or screw up my nxt order.. becos this time they did not give me any other form of compensation.. I juz pity them this time round.. so ya.. nxt time when this happens, I'm definately going to request for some form of compensation.. so ya.. super pissed off yesterday lah.. but now I'm ok liaox..

Sunday (20/08/06)

Came home.. did the laundry and sun my laundry! Parents were out the whole day and mum's instructions is to do the laundry loh! See.. I'm a mama's boy! haha.. Then bathe and I'm on my computer the whole day..

Did research for my ORD Malaysia trip the whole day (until the pt I forgotten to eat my lunch.. and now, I'm super hungry).. finding and comparing prices with Singapore tour packages.. so ya.. wat I mainly find is the prices of hotels in KL.. so plans is tat we go Johor and buy tix to KL then go KL to bk hotel.. so ya.. in this way, not so expensive.. but whether successful or not? I need to discuss with my grp who is going.. so ya.. so plans are again on the way!
After which, I started to update this blog loh! Must rush becos I'm super hungry lah..

Whilst bloggin, I chatted with my bro in church, Nat, and he was so sweet.. he asked me where was I yesterday.. I replied duty.. and then he went on to say tat my other bro in church, Ash, wanted to call me where am I.. I think they miss talking to me and stuff.. haha.. so sweet rite both of them? This is wat I call bros.. hahax.. =).. Well ppl in Generation Joshua (if you are reading this), I'm gonna join u all probably end nxt mth, becos by then, I wld be clearing leave.. so ya.. endure 1 mth more ok ppl? I have been gone like close to 4 mths liaox, so another mth I guess wld keep u in suspense? hahax.. so ya.. But wat you all can be assured is tat I do miss you all too! So ya.. guess this works both ways?
(if you dun koe wat I'm toking, its ok, becos I'm writing this on an empty stomach.. so ya)

After finished witing this, I'm gonna get my dinner (probably rice with zhi-char!).. and then rest a while before booking in tonite to camp.. tml got RSAF Day Parade rehearsal and I'm gonna wake up like at 0600 becos draw arms at 0645 mahx.. super early!

Am I slacking?

Yes! The question tat I asked myself time and again... "Am I slacking becos I'm going to ORD soon?" but oh well.. God koes the answer..

Anyway, today bk in camp with a free cab up Toranto Road (all thanks to Boon Sen! Thanks!!).. Packed my things in bunk and then rest a while, before Karyan (ORDing on Fri - 18/8), Boon Sen & I went to canteen to have our lunch. Chatted with Karyan for a while lah, becos its like one of a few last time we can chat.. so ya..

Proceeded back to bunk to bathe and got ready for RSAF Day rehearsal @ Tengah Airbase! Drew arms and soon we were whizzed off for rehearsal in the bus..

Went we went there, I was shocked, becos my base were to first GOH to arrive.. the rest were the supporting contingents..

Soon, we were requested to be on the parade square to start the rehearsal proper! Fwah.. then the rehearsal start! The sun was scorching hot and we were there on the runway rehearsing.. worst still, we wore drill boots, so naturally our boots wld conduct heat by itself.. so ya..

The rehearsal was one big mess;
Firstly the parade RSMs (due to their inexperience) actually didnt really conduct the rehearsal properly.. everything was so slow paced.. even the timing to execute the drills movement was real slow lah, so naturally, our actions wld be sloppy.. and if we are sloppy, we kenna scolded..
Secondly, they also like to march us on the spot for no apparent reason.. after a few movement of drills, they wld like march us on the spot for close to 30 sec (and I tell you tat this is real shiong!).. but fortunately, I was GOH Contingent 2, so our backs were facing the sun's glare, unlike contingent 1 who is facing the sun directly.. so ya..

Oh.. today saw 3 of our NDP marshallers (frm ADSD) on Parade too.. so ya.. spoke to our marshaller, Sam, and he commented tat "wat goes ard comes ard!".. hahax.. Quite funny as to how they dress, becos we used to see them in No. 4, but for the Parade, they are wearing RSAF T-shirt and No. 3 pants! =)

Anyway, I can really safely say tat the I was slacking 90% in the Parade rehearsal today, becos the timing of executing the drills are darn slow.. slow till the pt tat I can actually afford to slack and juz do sloppy movements!

Things changed ard when my RSM went up to talk to everyone on the Parade square.. he did a demonstration of the drills, and I can hear ppl (frm other contingents, particularly the ADSD contingent) complimenting on my RSM's drills! My RSM is tat good lah! =).. Then came the moment where initially my morale booasted but a lot of stress as well, becos my RSM wants us (in contingent 2) to perform for the rest (to prove his pt tat we clock a lot of "milelage"..).. but in the end, I think we not gd enuf.. so he went over to contingent 1 and perform.. then fortunately they perform really well.. the "hormat" drill was really solid lah! It earn the applause frm everyone.. so ya.. haix.. contingent 2 slack rite? you may say so lah.. becos the chief trainer for RSAD Day GOH is warrant seah (CAB RSM) and he went over to contingent 1 and train them.. then there left warrant lim (PLAB RSM) & warrant khoo (TAB RSM) train us, so naturally I think they like quite slack, becos they quite sianx liaox becos of the slow pace of the drill.. whereas in contingent 1, warrant seah take charge, so everything was kilat lah.. haix..

Then came one of the last drills b4 we fall out, and tat is march past.. I tell you.. it was chaos! and guess wat.. I was one of the leading man to march past, so lots of stress being layed 2 guys beside me during marching.. real stress! I have to remember to keep my distance frm the colour party in front, have to maintain dressing, have to count the no. of paces after we turn so as to allow the back to catch up, cannot march too fast nor too slow,etc.. there are a thousand and one things to remember and take note when doing a march past! I tell you.. its totally stress lah! I juz hope I can deliver it on the actual day lah! So guess it wld be more practice and scoldings frm the RSMs liaox.. I have to perserve on and "ren"!! Gambate abriel!! =)

Came home by bus.. Was real hungry.. wanted to get a quick bite frm ang mo kio pasar malam, but didnt in the end.. (didnt want to spend money lah!).. then when reach home, I wanted to buy durian, becos I was craving for it again, but then I see it was not worth the price, becos it looks really small.. so ya..

Ate dinner cooked by my mum (which was really yummy!.. braised pork, chicken feet and egg for dinner, with lemak vegetables for dinner.. how good is tat?).. yummy.. I'm drooling already =)..

Then watched a bit of TV, then blogging now loh! Gonna sleep soon.. Guess I wont be updating for quite a while, becos wld be busy.. here's my schedule for the rest of this wk..

Thu (17/8) - P1 (so can't come home)

Fri (18/8) - RSAF Day rehearsal in afternoon. By the time I reach camp, it wld be abt 1800 liaox.. next day have to mount duty, so rather not come home, or else, I have to wake up at 0530 on sat (19/8) to come back for duty.. a bit the sianx rite..

Sat (19/8) - Mount duty

Sun (20/8) - Dismount frm duty.. Can go home, but need to be back in base before 2300, becos the RSAF Day rehearsal on Mon (21/8) morning at 0800.. so ya.. So kenna 'jia' loh!

Mon (21/8) - RSAF Day rehearsal @ Tengah Airbase..

So now you can see how busy am I? Looks like this wkend and for the wkends to come, I dun need to go out with my family liaox.. Sianx leh.. =(.. anyway, gtg liaox.. I will blog again on Sunday (20/8).. so ya.. Cya ppl =)

Tired & disappointed!

I was totally disappointed with one of my gd friend (aka bunk mate) today.. here is wats going on..

This morning when I almost reach camp, I receive an SMS frm this friend of mine tat he is not feeling well and he told me to tell my sgt abt it..

I then replied "chao keng" (hokkien for faking illness).

He replied back, "I'm really sick lah!"

I then replied, "where got so coincident? Dun come and bluff.. you want to chao keng say so lah!"..

Then he replied, "I sick since yesterday liaox! Feel very tired, dun koe why"

I then replied (with anger boiling up!), "Haix.. I dun koe whether this is true or not.. but I still think you still chao keng! Just becos we mount duty till late today, you go and take 10C.. haix.."

Tats wat I told him lah, but wat he didnt koe is tat I'm partly disappointed with him, as well as angry lah! I can be quite sure tat if today dun need to do duty till late, he wld sure turn up at camp!

I can't stand ppl who are tat irresponsible! He claimed tat he is sick yesterday.. and if he is really sick yesterday, why did he still press on to go for the RSAF Day Parade rehearsals, and wait until yesterday nite then go to outside clinic to take 10C? If you were in my shoes, I'm sure you wld feel the same rite?
Becos here is tat the mounting shift today is indeed very low on their manpower and they require us (the GOH shift personnels who were not involved in the ORD combat shoot!) to help, even though I was unwilling at first but after hearing their plight (which only has 5 ppl mount duty if we dun go down and help, and this is pathetic.. its simply impossible to mount with 5 ppl! The rest of the shift were on ORD shoot and 5 others (which were the Paya Lebar Airbase attached guys) were being transfered back to Paya Lebar IMMEDIATELY and the guard com only koe of this info this morning!!)..
Anyway, becos if there are more ppl doing duty, our no. of hrs of duty wld be lesser.. so here is he having 10C.. and its not like he is the only one who is tired.. the rest of us are also tired! Wat makes him so special tat he takes 10C, so he can skip mounting?
Some of you all may think I'm unreasonable becos ppl may be sick at the last minute.. but come on.. you tell me.. if he was unwell yesterday, wld he still press on and go for Parade rehearsals? And yesterday when we talk to each other, he look juz fine to me; no signs of sickness, etc? Now.. does this give u enuf reasons to re-think as to whether am I unreasonable or not?

I can seriously tell you I was super pissed off by this thing, and it disturbed me the whole day lah.. which I still do now! I dun really think its anger, but its more like disappointment! I have very high expectations of myself as well as others (esp. my close friends).. so ya.. perhaps this trait of mine has been derived frm my perfectionist nature which has been inborn I guess? If I want to do something, I make sure I do it good, if not perfect.. My stand is no point doing it half standard and then in the end, when comments are not favourable, I wld complain and make myself so miserable becos I would be blaming myself why I didnt put in my best.. so ya..

Anyway, enuf of him liaox.. talking abt him juz makes my blood boil!..

Today went to camp.. ate breakfast.. slept for 1 hr, before I went down to guardroom to do duty..

When I went down, I was assigned a straight 5 hr duty, which is guarding a super ulu gate.. and this is the most boring duty you can ever do!.. so ya.. No doubt its lonely (becos my duty partner and I hardly talk to each other, becos we dun have common topics!), but I managed to still survive it thru! Phew!

I was so surprised tat at 1700, the day driver came with dinner for my duty partner and me.. so nice rite? =).. in my GOH shift, the ppl juz simply dun care lah.. they leave you to "die".. when you off duty, then eat.. haix.. guess different shifts got different traits lah!

Then when its time to close the ulu gate and go back to our bunk, the mounting shift's guard commander (my FSM - Staff Poh) for the day actually came to pick us up! I really respect him today; he was the driver for the shift (after 1700) and the store IC (after 1300).. he have to do this until the men frm the range come back and carry on with their duty!).. and if there was any other duties which there was not enuf man to man tat station, he wld go take over and help mount duty for tat station! So ya.. this is the first time tat I see my flight sgt major (FSM) really bao-ga-liao! Kudos to you Staff =)

One of my friends (who was NOT P1 at all) did duty frm 1330-2100 (his original duty was frm 1700-2100, but then they somehow misplan the detailing becos one of them need to go and shoot but they plan him in, so his duties is being spread ard.. so becos of this, he has been called down to the guardroom since 1330 to do duty!).. then after which (after 2100 tat is), my FSM took over his duty until the range ppl are back to take over! Shiong rite.. so ya..

Then came home by cab.. shared cab with Boon Sen.. The cab driver was really a bit calculative.. seeing tat the fare is $9 already, i immediately ask him to stop at the bus-stop, but he told me cannot stop becos behind got car, so he got further up a bit frm my designated stop place.. and juz nice, the meter jump by $0.10 like 2-3 secs ago.. and for this, he charged me $9.10!
Come on loh.. its not my fault! I call him to stop at the place, but he told me a whole lot of bulls*it then the meter jump by $0.10! Its not tat I'm petty over $0.10, but its just tat I dun feel justified paying tat $0.10! If I'm like covering quite a distance for tat $0.10, then its ok.. but the problem is tat the $0.10 I pay is for something which was not instructed by me.. man.. this cab driver muz be earning a lot on petty gains! haix..

Ate dinner (which was lotong! Yummy!) cooked by my mum! I have been thinking it the whole day and looking forward for today's dinner.. so ya.. Then bathe and blog loh!

Then after I was online for a while, Sidney msg me on MSN and asked me to call him becos he wanted to rant! So tats wat I did.. and he really ranted like nobody's business! He is like a GPMG (General Purpose Machine Gun) who juz keeps firing and no IA (immediate action)! (guys who have been to NS wld koe wat I'm toking abt!).. hahax.. but glad tat I was tat source of listening ear to him, or else, I think he wld juz explode lah.. so sometimes be an outlet for someone is also good lah! At least you help tat person to clear watever unhappiness he has! =)

Then after called him, I continued with my blog loh!..

Ok lah.. gtg liaox.. tired after a whole day of duty! Yeh! Can wake up late tml, becos my officer give us permission to bk in later tml, as we kenna 'jia' today.. so ya.. I'll cya ppl tml! =)

My last parade..

Slept quite early yesterday (2330 do you consider it early?.. hahax).. Woke up at the normal time of 0530.. ate breakfast and off I went to camp..

After breakfast in camp was cleaning our SAR 21 rifles, becos NDP we shot rounds with our rifles mahx.. so its an SAF ruling tat whenever you shoot, you have to maintain your rifles by cleaning after every shoot.. so ya.. did juz tat..

Then its USMS time again.. I'm glad to announce tat I got 2 suggestions approved, so its left 1 more, and thank God, I have prepared it and typed it in my hp, so its juz like "copy and paste" lah!
After finished writing, I was like go to the computer and type.. then I agreed only to help 1 other person to type in their commends, becos they want to go up and sleep or sumthing, so I agreed, since my typing speed is quite fast, so I didnt think tat it wld be any hassle or sumthing.. then gradually, ppl start passing me their suggestions to help them type, and man oh man, I was machiam like their typist loh.. I then put a stop to all, by saying my stand tat enuf is enuf.. so all in all, I help 6-7 ppl type their suggestions.. I think now my typing is superb liaox after so much practice today! =P

Then whilst I almost finished typing, a call came frm Sidney, and he told me he has passed his driving! Congrats bro! 1 attempt and u have did it! =)
Earlier in the morning, Sidney did call me to tell me abt his weird dream abt yesterday nite, and I adviced him to take it easy.. so ya.. and juz b4 putting down the phone, I wished him all the best lah!.. so ya..

But then after I put down the call, I immediately felt very lousy lah (though I put up a happy front!).. and I tried my very best to like not think abt it!! .. becos its like he only need 2 times to pass his advance theory, whilst 1 time to pass his driving.. and here am I who is so stupid enuf to fail the advance theory 2 times, and have not even take my driving! I was like scolding myself, "stupid" for dun koe how long lah.. felt really lousy!.. but thank goodness tat as time pass by, I felt better becos I was not thinking abt it, but when I'm really free and got nothing to do, I wld start to think of other ppl's achievements and how I wished to match up with them.. tats how perfectionist I am lah.. haix.. sianx.. =(

By the time I'm done, its like 1100 liaox.. went to canteen for a quick lunch (which was cheese toast), before bathing and falling in at 1145 to draw our M16s for RSAF Day rehearsal @ Tengah Airbase..

Slept in the bus-ride to Tengah Airbase.. was super tired lahz.. Then when we reach there, as usual, my base was the last to reach there lahx.. Fall in and 1WO Seah (Changi Airbase RSM) took over the training of the M16 drills (my RSM who is the Chief Trainer, was late becos I think he got something on).. At first, it felt really weird to do the M16 drills, as we have been practicing and executing the drills for SAR 21 (which actually has a different set of drills) for the past 6 mths or so.. It certainly take quite a while for me to get used to it! But after a while, everything juz got fine and I was in my usual form again, though I'm still afraid of some drills which I'm not really good in! I hope I can perfect it overtime! =)

Then after 2 hrs, its time to resize the contingent where we got broken up into 2 contingents.. and guess wat.. I actually stand in the perimeter of the 2nd GOH contingent.. and guess wat.. I'm standing next to my good pal, Ann Tat! =).. so happy loh! =).. Jiayou Ann Tat!! =)

Rehearsal ended early, but then bus came late.. haix.. in the end, reach camp at abt 1833.. Michael stayed back to help us send our M16s.. so sweet of him.. =).. Thanx Michael.. so by the time we bk out and stuff, its abt 1900 liaox..

Came home by bus, ate dinner (which was macoroni soup, and its yummy lah, becos I have not eaten it for ages!), and then watched a bit of TV, then I started blogging liaox loh! Hardworking rite? =)

Ok lah.. gtg and sleep liaox, becos tml have to mount duty from 1100-1900! The reason? Not enuf manpower to mount tml!
Actually shld be no problem one, becos the dismounting shift today (which is the mounting shift tml) went to go for their shoot!.. but then when they gone there, they got rejected back, becos the person who is in charge of the live firing area @ Nee Soon Camp, didnt want to trouble himself, becos the shoot tat they are doing is different.. the FDC trainees were doing their single person shoot.. wat the dismounting shift did was a group shoot.. so ya..
Anyway, to cut the long story short, my officer called us to do duty frm 1100-1900, and for this, he gave us to bk in later the next day becos kenna 'jia' mahx.. Originally, my sgt said we do duty frm 1300-2100!! Then nxt day go camp late before leaving base for rehearsal.. but after much discussion, they came with a consensus tat we do duty frm 1100-1900, and bk in later the nxt morning.. so ya.. wat to do? I have to conform to the instruction rite? =(

So I will blog late tml ya.. ok.. getting sleepy.. gd nitex =)

Life after NDP 2006!

Well.. life juz goes on after NDP loh.. sianx.. here is the lowdown on wat happen over the past 2 days..

11/08/06 (Friday)

Went back to camp in the morning for P1 duty.. Super sianx lah.. First thing in the morning, I got instruction frm the guard commander of the shift to do P1 duty frm 1100-1500, as the shift currently have shortage of manpower (becos some of the shift members have gone for the IMT for their ORD Shoot!).. so ya..

Did duty as instructed even though I was super shacked lahx.. Then went back to bunk to sleep tilll abt 1730, then went Cookhouse to eat dinner.. Came back to bunk and after bathing, I felt very agitated! Dun koe why.. But I feel tat my temper tat day has a short span; which means tat any small thing can spark an "explosion" in me lahx..

Sidney did SMS me in the evening to tell me how good is his new Samsung phone, but becos I was in a very foul mood, therefore I didnt entertain him loh.. sorry ah bro =)..

Watched the shows on TV and by 2100, I was fast asleep on the bed! Surprisingly, I slept so soundly! =)

12/08/06 (Saturday)

For the first time after I came to GOH Shift, I finally came to Eastern Guardroom to mount duty and duty was more shiong than last week!

Duty was a bit sian, becos its a weekend.. but thank goodness tat there are my good friends (aka bunk mates; Boon Sen, Kok Wei, Samuel & Yizhou) mounting duty with me.. so ya.. not as bad as I tot lah! =)

Though I slept a lot yesterday nite, but I dun koe why today's duty I still feel so tired.. haix.. =(

Dismounted duty today, of course feeling shacked lahx.. Came home and then on the computer and blog this post liaox.. see how hardworking am I..

After tat, went to eat lunch, and watch my taped version of Singapore Idol Results Show.. so ya.. Anyway, here is ur weekly dose of Singapore Idol Updates..

This week's Singapore Idol was not like very nice, becos half the time I dun koe what the contestants are singing! Some songs were really very strange to me.. But nevertheless, I still have to give you all updates rite? So here it is..




Rahimah Rahim is the latest contestant on Singapore Idol to be voted out!

She sang "Confessions of a Broken Heart" by Lindsay Lohan during the "Home, Family & Friends" theme for this week's Spectaculars Show (which happened last Wednesday, 09/08/06).. The judges commented tat her singing was really bad, and I quote from one of the judges, Dick Lee, "This is the first time I've heard you sang flat almost throughout the song!"..

Not to mention Dick's commends! Even I dun koe wat is she singing too! I think she is simply screaming throughout the whole song lah! So she is eliminated also good lah! Or else ah.. haix.. wld be worst for her as for as for viewers like me..

Next person I wld like to see being eliminated is Paul Twohill! Paul simply has NO singing talent lah! Don't know how he managed to stay so long in the competition! But judging frm the next wk's theme (which is Rock & Roll), Paul wld most likely be staying in the competition for another week, becos his strong area is rock.. so ya.. juz hopes he screws up or do not have enuf votes lah! hahax.. =P


This results show was quite interesting, becos the Idols belt out "Reach Out For The Skies" together as a group item! It was all rite though, but I preferred the original singers who were Rui-En & Taufik! =)

But the highlight of the show came when Kit Chan, actually sang the song, "Home", as a special item! Fwah! I tell you.. as Kit was singing the song, my eyes were starting to get watery.. I tried to withold my tears for fear tat my mum called me a cry-baby or something!.. But ya.. the song was really touching..

On screens, it also showed tat 2 judges, Dick & Florence, actually sang along with the song.. and the audience were also singing along.. then when at the end of the performance, Gurmit asked Kit as to how does she feels whenever she sings this song, the whole Singapore actually sang along with her? Then Kit immediately acknowledged the composer of this song, and its none other than Dick Lee! Oh man.. didnt koe tat Dick Lee is so talented in composing such a beautiful song for the Nation! =)

Gurmit also added tat whenever he hears this song being sang, he wld get goosepimples as well! So ya.. Guess I'm not the only one huh =)

Oh.. then today is a dream come true for a die-hard food fan like me.. I had fulfilled my ultimate food fantasy..
"Wu Xiang" frm MacPherson Kopitiam, "Fried Hokkien Mee" frm Chomp Chomp & "Rojak" frm Toa Payoh!! I have been craving for such a fantasy for so long liaox.. its juz tat yesterday nite during duty with Yizhou tat I told him of this food fantasy of mine.. so ya..

So managed to fulfilled it today, becos family never go out, so I also never go out.. so went out to buy dinner lah.. so ya.. finally! But I somehow regretted this, becos after eating, I feel so so full lah! But anyway, this is so good =).. I'm savouring every moment of it lah! =)

Ok lah.. now gtg and do other stuff of mine liaox.. spend too much time in this blog liaox..

Tml have RSAF Day rehearsals at the super hot Tengah Airbase.. sianx.. Afternoon rehearsal somemore, which means we have to bk out after 1700.. haix.. sianx.. =(..

A photographer in the making!

Was awakened at abt 0800.. Brushed my teeth etc and then went to eat my breakfast.. After eating, I quickly rewind my tape and watched the NDP on videotape!

Quite excited abt it becos I was anticipating as to whether wld I be seen on TV during the Parade, becos yesterday nite I asked my parents (who watched the Parade with my grandma), they said they have gone upclose and they cldnt see me as "all looked the same".. but anyway, I knew where my position in the contingent is, and therefore, I scrutinised myself very closely on the TV screens!

The Parade & Ceremony segment started and I was shocked, becos I had seen myself so clearly on the TV screen.. In fact, I had abt 3-4 seconds airtime, and for someone to not see me, is quite impossible unless they are not used to me wearing contacts or their eyes didnt move fast enuf! Anyway, I was so happy tat at least I had some airtime, which means my training for the drills were not in vain, etc.. hahax.. Moreover, one of my bunk mates told me tat he saw me too! So ya.. =).. Was so happy to hear tat loh! I thought I was the only one who saw myself =)..

Frankly speaking, I was watching the whole Parade with watery eyes.. At some parts of the Parade, my eyes were watery and I'm on the verge of crying.. so ya.. I was tat touched by certain scenes/segments of the Parade (be it the actual Parade or the show segment).. The scene wld be like whenever videos were shown in the past of how Singapore suffered/flourish etc, I was really touched lah.. but wat really touched me most were the words of the song, "HOME".. Here are the extracts of the chorus:

"This is home truely, where I know I must be, where my dreams wait for me, where that river always flow,
This is home surely, as my senses tell me, this is where I won't be alone, for this is where I know I'm home!"

Whilst watching the Parade on video, any funny/weird moments or my base ppl tat I saw on TV, I wld SMS Boon Sen on the spot.. machiam like live telecast! hahax.. =P

Watched finish the whole Parade and the Singapore Idol Spectaculars Show (Theme: Our Home, Family & Friends) on tape.. By the time I'm done, its abt 1130 liaox..

Seeing it was still too early (Boon Sen, Kok Wei & I agreed to meet at 1330), I went on to settle my normal admin stuff and thereafter, proceeded to my room to prepare my substandard No. 1 and fold my clothes.. Then by the time I'm done, its time for me to bathe!

Picked out my "Orchard-going" clothes and put on my contact lens.. Then I was out of the house and this time, my new sunglass made its debut, and man oh man.. its real cool lah!! =) but becos I perspire easily and I put on colongue before I left my hse, my sunglass lens becos it's tinted and somehow my sweat (which has colongue) actually touch the lens (which I dun koe how), it made a small watermark on the lens and it can't be cleaned or washed off.. haix.. =(

However, I still went out with it lah! The sun was glaring, so my sunglass worked just fine! Met Boon Sen @ Orchard MRT Control and becos Kok Wei was late, Boon Sen & I decided to go to Food Republic @ Wisma Atria Shopping Centre to "book" a place for out lunch! At abt 1430, Kok Wei came and we ordered our food. I ate my usual Hokkien Mee and my fave dessert, Ice Mango & Pomelo. On top of tat, I treated Boon Sen & Kok Wei to a place of "Wu Xiang", which was really expensive btw; 6-7 items cost me $9.20.. but I did ordered 1 century egg.. Fwah.. best! .. was craving for it loh.. eat it with preserved ginger.. Fwah! Yummy! =)

Then we walked and see if anything we fancy we buy, becos pay juz came out mahx!! =).. Anyway, I bought wat I wanted, a newurbanmale tshirt, whose words are real cool lah! Actually, they didnt have "large" size which I wanted, but thank goodness, the salesperson found it, juz as I finished changing and not wanting to buy initially (becos dun have my size mahx), becos "medium" size too small and "extra large" size too big.. so ya.. bought it @ $39.90.. Quite expensive hor? Haix.. Good things are expensive loh!!.. hahax.. =P

Then we went to HMV.. and guess wat, I saw Junyang's "Gaiban" album.. I was like so tempted to buy but after much persistance NOT to buy, (becos if I buy, my expenses wld increase, and I dun have enuf money to spend for my Malaysia ORD trip!).. Another alternative to the CD is Lin Junjie's concert CD, which is again so tempting becos I'm his fan mahx, but then again for the same reason of saving, I decided to give it a miss too! Though my heart ache becos I so wanted to get either one of the CDs, I resisted in the end lahx.. =(

We took photos along the way (with my camera of course) and we are saying to each other tat if ppl didn't koe, they thuoght we were tourists.. ahahx.. We then wlaked to PS frm Heeren, and juz walk walk ard the place, before we go for dinner @ Carl's Jr. I suggested tat place becos one thing is tat no doubt its more expensive than other fast food, but its definately worth your money.. so ya..

I ate their promotion meal (Bacon Swiss Crispy Chicken Sandwich) and I used NETS ro pay, and for this, I got 20% discount (UP: $10.90), I paid only $8.95.

And frm our dinner, I then knew tat Kok Wei is eating Carl's Jr for the first time, so Boon Sen & I called him "Taisun" (which means mountain tortoise in Mandarin).. Then Kok Wei was like making jokes whilst we eat (he act as if he really was a "taisun"), and I almost got choked lah!! Man, he's funny man!! =P

After we had finished eating, Boon Sen & I brought Kok Wei to The Cathay to walk/shop, as Kok Wei as usual has not been there before (which goes to show he dun go to Orchard often).. Again we took photos, until we were "chased" by a security guard not to take photos (without telling us the reasons!).. Haix.. so we followed the instruction anyway..

Then I suggested we find a place to take photos, and we had a crazy idea.. Boon Sen suggested we go to CHIJMES! And we did, but this time is different.. we WALKED to CHIJMES!! It was an enjoyable walk lah..
Whilst we were walking to CHIJMES, we saw a grp of MediaCorp artistes (Chen Hanwei, Ivy Lee & Cynthia Koh) walking to have their dinner in tat ulu place (near the Singapore Arts Museum).. so ya.. We was like within a 1 metre distance, and worst still, I had my camera with me, but I was so stunned tat I didnt take the photos in the end lah! haix.. wasted =(

When we reached CHIJMES, we took photos again!! Then, I felt tat not good enuf (as in the no. of photos), therefore I suggested go to Esplanade and we did juz tat lah! Went up to the rooftop of Esplanade and Merlion Park to take photos.. Tat ended our outing-cum-phototaking.. =)

Went home in bus 133 and reached home at abt 2230.. once at home, immediately I switched on the computer and began to resize the 128 photos tat we took today (a lot rite? I'm sure u ppl cannot imagine 3 guys actually can take 128 photos rite? =).. hahax..

Surprisingly, the best photo of myself for the day was taken by Boon Sen.. This is probably my best photo yet lah! =)

The pose, the lighting and the background was juz perfect! I think I can use this picture to 'sian' gals liaox.. wahaha.. =P.. I juz like this pic lah! Dun u think I look good in this picture =).. I koe.. my thick skin nature is out again, but wat to do? =P

By the time I finished resizing the photos and bathe, it was already 0200! Slept for the nite.. Super shacked lah..

So ya.. though this is an amatuer piece of photo, but I guess this is the start to all good things to come! Man.. I juz like nite shot photos! =)
