Well.. for once, my 2nd day of CNY started so early! It started as early as 12 noon where my aunty gave my family a lift to our first stop (which is my eldest uncle's hse) for lunch, and this has always been a yearly tradition!
When I reached there, my eldest cousin (who was 2 yrs older than me!) asked me wat course was I in.. and I told him lah.. then suddenly, he told his girlfriend tat I was in the same course as her.. and she's like quite delighted to have someone of the same course.. and we've chatted like close to 15 mins lah.. I'm telling her all my subjects of wat I studied, as well as tell her wat to expect for the next 2 yrs of her course.. so ya.. machiam like consultant.. and I'm so flattered tat she called me her senior.. ha.. which I am lah =P..
Then I talk to my cousin (of the same age) abt army life and stuff.. it was interesting, as both of us are in NS and ORD-ing abt 2 wks different! He will ORD 2 wks earlier than me, becos he is in enhanced BMT.. so ya..
Then went to take some food which my grandma has cooked.. Though her food is simple fare (fried rice & mee siam), but its WORLD BEST lah! I'm NOT exaggerating! Tis yr the variety of food actually reduced liaoz, becos my grandma has a leg problem.. so ya.. she old liaoz and can't stand long.. but she still takes the effort to cook! Kudos!! =).. well, last few yrs, there were at least 4-5 true blue Peranakan food (FYI: 1 Peranakan dish can take hrs to cook.. not to mention tat some dishes like the authentic Ayam Buah Keluak can take up to 1 wk to prepare!!.. so you see.. Peranakan dishes are not easy to prepare! So can u imagine 4-5 Peranakan dishes can take how long to cook?) for us to eat and enjoy, and I tell you tat it is the best thing tat can happen on the 2nd day of CNY! I'm not kidding!
**Note: Did I ever mention to you tat I'm a Peranakan (ie, a mix heritage of Malay & Chinese)? so tat explains why I enjoy Peranakan food so much! =) But ironically, I NEVER like the dish, Ayam Buah Keluak (which actually is a true Peranakan dish!).. so ya.. my family eats it except me!.. dun like the wierd taste.. so ya.. I'm weird ah.. ha =P
Then, becos its the festive season, drank 1 can of Heineken beer (since I have not tried b4).. and there I was with my first can.. My cousins and uncles I think were shocked when they see me drink beer, becos they like asked who drink beer.. then I said "me!".. and they were shocked lah!!
Then as I was abt to finish a can, my uncle (who was the host of the hse) asked his son (who is my cousin of the same age) to pass me another can of Heineken beer.. I actually refused at first, but then, he said army boy.. muz drink more.. haiz.. so I relunctantly oblige lah.. so there I was with my second can!.. and juz as I was abt half of the drink, it was time to go to another hse.. so I quickly gulped down the other half of the can!
Then its going to various hse to snack and snack and more snack.. Gosh! I think I'm getting fat.. imagine with all the amt of calories I intake today; the sweet BBQ pork, 2 cans of beer, crackers, and other fattening stuff! I was also worried abt my weight, as I plan to take my IPPT soon.. haiz..
And becos I dun run always, I sometimes really want to take a run myself in camp.. but then, according to the law in camp, no one is supposed to run without any spec/ officer ard.. haiz.. then like tat how you expect me to train for my IPPT? haiz..
Then after tat, stayed for dinner at my aunty's mum place.. then stayed a while and played cards and scrable with my cousins! It was such fun!
Well.. photos were taken today lah.. but they have not send me yet.. so ya.. when they send me, then I'll upload ya =)
After tat, took a cab back home, bathe and on the computer, and here am I on the computer loh..
Sianz ah.. tml morning need to go back and do duty.. haiz.. has requested not to put me in Eastern, as I need enuf rest as on thurs, I have my advance theory.. but see lah.. if not enuf ppl, then I will go there.. becos Eastern is like more hrs of duty than Main Guardroom!.. so ya.. see wat's my sgt planning lah.. but seriously, I have no confidence in my advance this thurs.. I know I have pray and have faith and stuff, but then, its juz tat feeling which actually puts it this way tat I will fail.. so ya.. haix.. I'm leaving it to God lah.. =(
Ok.. gtg soon and sleep liaoz.. waking up tml the same time of 0530 to get back in camp to mount duty.. so ya.. gtg liaoz..

I Not Stupid Too!
First & foremost, let me wish you readers out there,
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR 2006! May this new Year bring you much joy in whatever you do, and may the Peace of God stays with you always! Gong Xi Gong Xi!
Okay.. shall blog abt the previous days before I blog abt today.. so at least you readers out there get to koe what happened the last few days!

Well.. this day, when I back in camp, I complained abt my RP3 helmet issue to my friends.. and when my sgt (the understanding one tat is) came in, once he see me, he remembered abt the thing abt me can't wear my RP3 helmet! So ya.. thanks God..
Then, was actually not supposed to be P1.. but then, becos last minute they cld not find someone, my sgt asked me whether I wanted to serve P1, so I agreed loh.. anyway, didnt plan to go home after all on this day.. so actually did P1, and was quite sway.. did a 2 hr duty (and guess wat? almost kenna scolded by my OC for some trival matter.. haiz..), but was also fortunate, becos the whole shift came down, becos juz in case not enuf ppl to run for drill when the audit comes! haiz..
So the rest of the shift stayed frm like 1100-1700 in the guardroom, and sadly to say, no audit yet.. so ya..
Then didnt koe why, felt so sleepy and tired when reached bunk.. initially was not so tired.. but once the clock strikes 2000, I started to feel tired.. wanted to finish watching a variety show which is frm 2000-2030, but my friend halfway like not happy, becos he want to watch other show.. so anyway, u koe me lah.. when I'm sleepy, I feel very vexed and get easily angered! So ya.. in the end, I juz say let him watched in a very pissed off manner lah.. then I went to sleep at abt 2020.. woke up like at 2255, and see the surroundings for a while before going back to sleep! And fwah! dun I sleep longer than usual! I actually slept frm 2020-0630 and tat is a whopping 10 hrs!

Woke up feeling quite energised (becos got more than enuf sleep!) and then ate breakfast.. mounted duty and guess wat! Becos its a wkend duty (moreover, its a Saturday duty and a Saturday duty is the slackest of all day in terms of duty!)..
And becos of the amt of ppl mounted duty, so my FIRST duty was actually at 2100! Yes! 2100!!!
My buddy for the day (in terms of duty partner) was actually the youngest member (who is 18 yrs of age this Feb) in my shift.. Chatted with him (when on and off duty!) and got to koe him better! I even gave him a nickname, "Ah Boy".. haha..
Was a bit sad initially in the day, becos not able to go home for reunion dinner!.. but then, somehow my shift had a "special" dinner (cant say wat it is.. if you want to koe, ask me.. becos this thing maybe sensitive! dun want to type it in this blogosphere!).. after having tat "special" dinner, felt much better (at least there is a home feeling lah, and also with my shift mates.. a conhesion activity sia!).. and after tat, did my first duty at 2100 loh!
Then at 2305, my officer (who was the only person left in control room!) asked the 18 yr old guy to standby his duty in the control room.. and the 18 yr old guy was so bored, tat he called me to accompany him.. so stayed inside and chatted with him and helped him do the duties in the control room at the same time!
Then at 2330, drill was done @ Eastern Gate!! 2 in fact!! Then I tot I won't tio drill.. suddenly my officer gave drill @ Toranto Gate, and tat was close to 12 midnight liaoz! Then my officer wished everyone Happy CNY at the stroke of 12 midnight.. for a moment of 5 mins, my shift were juz shouting CNY greetings over the pyset! Then after my officer is done with Toranto Gate, he came to Main Guardroom to give drill! At tat time, I was getting ready to sleep.. in fact, was in my admin attire and socks and boots all out.. then suddenly turnout.. Damn! Have to wear everything and do it ASAP.. then we turnout and my officer explained to us how the drill is done and stuff.. after discussion, tat 18 yr old guy remembered tat there is one more fellow but he did not turnout, and worse still.. he is sleeping in a place where no one shld sleep (so tats why he did not hear the turnout alarm!).. and this 18 yr old guy juz told my officer abt him not turning out.. so ya.. he quite stupid lah.. Thankfully my officer was good and he did not make us do again, or else, haiz..
In the end, after the drill was completed and explained, my officer told us to wayang and stuff and test see how fast the person will turnout (after he asked someone to tell tat person tat it was a turnout, whilst we are forming outside)! But it was all too late.. my officer was angry liaoz! And I tot he act scolding, but never did I expect, all the usual explesives (frm A-Z) which he wont say it, and he actually said yesterday! Fwah!! First time see my officer so angry sia!
And by the time the drill is done and we are allowed to sleep, it was 0100 liaoz! And I had a duty at 0300-0500.. haiz.. Main Gate duty somemore.. haiz.. =(

Then dismounted duty today with debrief (for the various drills) whilst walking for the Duty Officer for the day to open the armoury, and we send in our arms!
Then went home, bathe and then off I went for vistation.. dress my best.. and went out to my aunty's hse in Holland!
Mum decide to take a cab there (and not the usual bus thingy).. stayed there for lunch (and the food is not bad lah.. edible!) and then leave for Plaza Singapura after tat to watch the movie, I Not Stupid Too!
Well.. this movie is my 2nd movie of the week liaoz (my first being "Memoirs of a Geisha").. this movie was booked online like days before today (and apparently it was empty), and today after I went to collect the tix, I then realised tat the cinema was almost fully packed with ppl!!
Well.. my verdict of the show? It was EXCELLENT ! But wait!! I koe some of you out there may not agree with me.. but to each his opinion lah!
I started a liking for Jack Neo's movies since I watched his last movie, "One More Chance".. and the thing I like abt Jack Neo's movies are tat the movie is very realistic and it touches on some really tough and at times, sensitive topics!
Anyway, back to the movie! I read reviews of this show tat it was only so-so, and yet, I've also read comments tat this movie makes you laugh and cry at the same time!

And true enuf, I've experienced it myself, and this is really true! The laughs comes frm the 40% of the show dislogue, which were in hokkien! And if you dun understand hokkien, there are both Mandarin & English subtitles (and oh.. the show is in Mandarin, but English subtitles are provided)..
And fyi.. if you dun want to catch this movie in the cinema and u are juz waiting for the VCD/DVD to come out, I suggest you go to the cinema and catch this show.. becos once the VCD/DVD version is being sold in the market, they wld censor all the hokkien parts, and they would dubbed it with Mandarin, which kills all the laughs! so ya..
So anyway, yes.. and you koe me.. I'm really a sentimental kind of guy.. so at times during the movie, I actually cried!
I actually started tearing when at a part, where Jack Neo's character (who is named Steven) in the show, actually realises tat he has not spend enuf time with his child.. the story actually states tat Steven actually charges ppl $500 an hr for his talk.. and his younger son (in the show tat is, and his younger son is named Jerry in the show) actually is a lead actor in his school play! But Jerry simply cant get his dad (who is played by Jack Neo) and mum (who is played by Xiang Yun) to confirm their attendance to his sch play, becos both of them are busy with their jobs!
Then the story goes on to say tat Jerry yearns to have a collection of PokeMon cards.. so along the show, they portray Jerry trying ways and means to save money (and even steal a stack of money whom he stole frm a canteen aunty who accidentally left it there, but in the end, Jerry kenna caught by a CCTV camera, and Steven & his wife is being called to the school and being questioned).. Jerry apparently doesn't koe tat his parents koe abt the stolen money matter!
Then after they came home, Steven questioned Jerry abt why he steal the money! And Steven actually uses a cane to discipline Jerry! And Steven kept asking why Jerry steals money! But Jerry kept quiet.. instead, Steven took matters in his own hands, and assumes tat Jerry steals is becos of he wanted to buy PokeMon cards.. Steven then explained to Jerry in a very fierce manner tat its not he doesn't want to buy the cards, but its tat Jerry has so many, so why spend the money?
This time, Jerry still kept mum, while Steven scolds him harshly..
Then Jerry cldnt take it, and he answered Steven,
"It's not becos of the cards! Its becos I wanted to save money to buy 1 hr of your time!"
Fwah! Tat time when I heard this, my tears juz AUTOMATICALLY flow!! I discreetly wipe off my tears, but tears juz kept flowing!! Apparently, you can hear in the cinema many rustling of the tissue paper plastic packaging, and you koe tat ppl are crying too! Actually, as I was writing this blog, my eyes also is watering a bit.. tat scene remains very vivid in my mind!
And the story goes lah.. too lazy to type out wat happen to the rest and stuff! Definately, laughs and more tears are generated as the movie/story goes along!!
But definately a movie tat makes me want to catch it again!! Its tat good lah!! I like these kinds of "reality" movies!!
But the whole story is based on this tagline:
"When was the last time you've praised your children? It's long isn't it?"
That tagline above juz keeps ringing in my head!
**Note: I recommend tat whoever has problems with his/her parents (u koe who u are!), the whole family shld watch this movie together.. or at least, tat person (u koe who is urself ah.. I dun want to say out.. juz in case once I say your name, you wld be very embarassed! so ya..)

After the movie, came home and ate the leftovers of Friday's reunion dinner food (tats my dinner mind u!).. then bathe, and now blogged loh!! Sleeping soon!!
Tml is another busy visitation day!! Oh.. forgot to tell you readers the good news! Able to attend another family reunion dinner tml after the visitation (as always the tradition), due to special reasons! Thanx God!! =).. was initially not able to do so.. so happy =)
ok lah.. tml is another busy day.. and another change of clothes! ha.. machiam like fashion model (as wat my mum said!).. ha.. wat to do? I got a hunky body, and I look good in any clothes! ha.. (see how thick-skin I am?).. ha.. =P
And oh.. my Advance Driving Theory is on Thurs (1/2).. have not really re-studied.. die.. if this time I fail again, I'm not even sure whether will I retake another time.. so ya.. haiz.. I shall let God decide loh!!..

The Unagi wld never be the same again!! ;P
After I left my latest blog in cyberspace, went to bathe and meet up with my bro, Andrew. Was supposed to accompany him for lunch, but then, I was late.. so ya.. sorry ah bro! =)
Btw, my attire today was contact lens, white lycra Giordano T-shirt, my Levi's 505 jeans, my new engraved name choker (which is very nice btw, being today is the debut of me wearing chokers!), white ankle socks, my black Swatch watch, gelled hair and my Nike Dunk shoes! Fwah! Mentioning abt details.. haha.. =)
By the time I reached Orchard MRT, Andrew was done with his lunch.. so waited for him abt 3 mins and he appeared. And then he started to told me this funny incident tat he saw whilst having lunch @ MacDonalds! The details, I wld think you read his blog lah.. lazy to type! He's been telling ppl abt his encounter today during lunch, so I wld suppose when his next blog comes, he wld be blogging all abt it =).. so ya..
Then we walked to Lido and buy 6 tix! Nat cld not come at the last minute, so Tjow & Claudia joined us instead! So the movie ppl today were Andrew, Ash, Tjow & Claudia, Felicia & of course, me lah! And after we chose our seats and paid the cash, we were entitled to a lucky dip of every 4 tix purchased! And I chose a prize of a movie premium, and were shown to a few movie notebooks.. didnt want to take those demonic ones.. so in the end, I took the "Phantom of the Opera" notebook! Then I juz realise tat I did not have a bag! So ya..
Then after tat, we walked to Far East to meet Ash.. but seeing it was too early b4 the mtg time, Andrew & I walked the whole of Far East.. Along the way, we talk some crap lah of course!
Then we met Ash.. and the 3 of us walked the whole of Far East.. so its the 2nd time tat Andrew & me walked Far East again on the same day..
Then a call on my hp came.. it was frm my shift mate.. he asked me abt my RP3 attire and stuff.. I asked him why and he said he dun koe.. I also didnt offer myself to have an RP3 attire, becos there are some restrains.. everything is more or less ok, except tat the shirt is not iron properly yet and my helmet is the main thing tat I hate to wear my RP3. This is becos my RP3 helmet is like a one size fits all kind of helmet and becos of my longish head shape, once the helmet is adorned on my head, my head wld be pain and it wld be super tight, even though the strap is put right at the end liaoz! And there is a certain standard of wearing the RP3.. so since I can't wear my helmet, so wats the pt of me having an RP3?
The I explained to my friend.. he said nvm.. tml see how.. shortly after, the T-loaned sgt (frm another shift) called.. and he asked me the RP3 thing, becos' tml one of the sqn is hving their Change of Command Parade and 3 unlucky personnels have to adorned our RP3 and be car-openers! Then I told him my helmet cldn't fit! Then, he told me ok.. he find other ppl..
Shortly after tat, he called me back and told me to juz bring my RP3 tml.. im like WTH!! I told him my reasoning.. saying tat since my helmet cldnt fit, so its no pt for me to bring my RP3 at all! He juz said nvm.. juz bring, becos no one want to bring.. at tat time, I really wanted to like slap him or sumthing.. was super mad! I think Ash & Andrew (who was with me when I answered the call) can also sense my anger lah!!
Then I got super mad.. then I called my OWN sgt.. told him abt my helmet situation, and this time, this sgt was more undertsanding.. Initially, he tot since I cannot wear helemt, nvm.. he called me to change with someone else.. but then wat he didnt koe is tat this is a one-size-fits-all kind of helmet.. so ya.. I told him the situation and at least he said nvm for my case, becos my helmet cant fit! So ya.. but dun koe wat's the case tml lah.. haiz.. so mah fun..
Then, I forgot all abt the issue and continued shopping with Ash & Andrew.. then Ash walked into this shop.. and after I put down the call, he told me he wanted to have my *ahem* professional advice abt his stuff.. So me being the shopping guru, gave him some solid advice lah.. so ya.. it seems like everyone who goes out with me in shopping, wld simply asked for my opinion.. I machiam like some shopping guru.. but wait a minute! I am the shopping guru! haha.. I shld charge for my services next time.. ha.. =P
Then, soon.. Tjow & Claudia met us (Ash, Andrew & myself).. and then we walked.. and suddenly, we stop by one shop.. and guess wat! 2 of my poly classmates called me.. and we chatted for a while.. then I realise one of them was in the Top 100 Girls next door FHM Magazine this mth.. so ya.. And one of them said something which really made my day.. she said a sentence in Mandarin, which I shall translate it in English for the benefit of some readers.. so here's wat she said:
"You have become more handsome! Work hard and you'll be able to get a girlfriend soon!"
So ya.. when I heard tat, I like snubbishly deny the fact, but in fact, I was super happy tat sumone praised me! Ha.. so I guess tat my attire today was like the right choice (ie, wearing contacts and all!)..
Left for the cinema after a while at Far East, but seeing it was still early, we walked round Isetan for a while. As usual, Tjow cldn't resist his spending power, and he bought a mini water dispenser.. Actually, all of us (including his wife, Claudia) saw it was unnecessary, but he insisted tat it was on offer and its cute.. n he cld put it in his room.. so oh well.. he bought it lah.. and he looks very happy.. ha =P
And dun koe why.. Ash & I actually has the most static, and we were like when accidentally touch each other, both will exclaim in pain! tats how strong our statics are! weird huh..
Then, we sat down for close to 30mins and talk crap.. ate Fillet-O-Fish burger to fill my tummy (becos apparently, the plan was to go eat dinner after the show, so didnt want to eat so full!), becos was super hungry.. then Andrew told me tat for a mere $0.20 more, he cld get me a student Fillet-O-Fish meal! haiz.. oh well..
Then Felicia came and we went into the cinema to watch the show.. and surprisingly, Lido is not as bad as I thought.. I was thinking of limited leg room and stuff.. but ya.. it didnt appear so.. in fact, the leg room was more than sufficient.. but the only down point is tat the seat handles are plastic, so its a bit of uncomfortable!
Then the show showed on the cinema screen, and Andrew & Felicia being naughty, they started to throw popcorns over ppl's head.. initially, there were nobody who turned back! Then almost near the end of the show, Andrew chu stunt.. he threw and the person turned back and looked in my direction.. and I act as if nothing happened! Thank goodness tat no fights were caused and stuff!
During the show, of course my bro, Andrew being the sicko king, created some "blue" or lame jokes out of the actor's or actresses dialogue.. and there is this part whereby it mentions some mature themes! (dun want to mention, becos I koe there are underage ppl reading my blogs.. underage really means underage! those like sec 1 or 2.. so ya..).. and also, dun want to be a spoiler lah.. but I was a bit of the slow.. Andrew understood it the first time the English subtitles were on the screen, and I didn't.. but after he laughed, then I realise wat he is laughing, and began to laugh too! See.. told u my bro is sick.. ha..
So regarding abt my title in my blog and my MSN nick, if you never watch "Memoirs of a Geisha", you wld never koe wat the unagi really means! If u watched it, I believe you shld either be grinning or smiling your way as you see the word, "unagi" (in the movie, they do not say "unagi".. they say "eel" instead.. for me, I wld prefer to use "unagi".. much more civilised term and it gives an indirect meaning to it..)! Haha.. So indeed after u have watched the show, the unagi wld never be the same again!! ha.. =)
Well.. well.. after speaking so much, my verdict of the movie? its FANTASTIC!!. I dun really koe how to explain why I rate it fantastic! I seriously dun koe how to explain! Its juz good lah!
Probably its becos of Zhang Ziyi & Michelle Yeoh (btw, Michelle Yeoh's english is really good in the movie! She speaks very fluent and English (with the American accent) real well!)..
or it cld probably due to the fact tat this is another genre of movies (which I believe tat this belongs to the genre of art) tat I enjoy watching..
Initially Ash told me tat his cousin said it wld not be nice if you are tired, and my shift mate said tat not very nice becos too many dialogues.. So ya.. but I juz simply find it nice and its worth my EVERY cent of my $8.00! So ya..
After which, no one like seems to eat dinner.. so came home and took 105 back.. bus was quite packed, but reached home close to 10.30pm.. so ya..
Bathe and now blogged loh.. sleeping soon liaoz.. tml need to wake up 0530! haiz.. so once I go tml, I think my next blogging wld be on Sunday.. haiz..
Tml was supposed to have my dad's side family reunion dinner at my place.. but then, tml have to go back 2300, and I only bk out 1700.. so no pt lah.. waste money and stuff.. even my mother agreed so.. haiz.. so there goes my chance of eating nice Peranakan food and seeing my cousins!
But my only comfort is tat I'm seeing my cousins on the 2nd day of CNY! So ya.. at least not so bad.. but then again, 2nd day of CNY, I need to be back at camp 2300, becos 3rd day of CNY I on duty.. haiz.. =(
Enough of complaining.. getting sleepy now.. stomach growling.. but muz control my diet.. becos eating too much junk food.. and not to mention, I drank 1 WHOLE big cup of Pepsi ALL by myself during the movie.. Calorie intake too much tonite.. haiz.. need to lose weight!! ahhh....

Self - Sustained Duty
Yesterday's duty was quite amazing.None of the commanders (Officer & sgt) mounting duty yesterday were frm my shift; this is becos its either they are busy with their personal things tat they take off/leave, or simply they are sick/unwell, so ya.. The day before yesterday's duty, was also the same. Only 1 sgt (who was T-loaned frm another shift) was available to help manage our standby shift. Kudos to him!!
Duty yesterday was at Eastern Gate. Got the least hrs of duty (12 hrs), compared to the rest (14-16 hrs)! But I was shiong, becos I got a lot of shiong duties!
Then dun koe whether was I unlucky or wat.. my OC came down to Eastern Gate to check things out (and also stayed @ Eastern for a while, juz in case the auditors came!) and he gave us a drill. And of course, after completing the drill, I then realised tat my position is wrong! Then my OC asked me abt where my position shld be, and I told him watever I rememebered.. but in the end, its still wrong lah! In the end, kenna scolded like nobody's business with much explesives being said to me! But fortunately, after which, my OC spoke to me in a more calmed tone.. so ya.. haiz..
Continued my duty and as the day past, and soon, it was time for dismounting! Yeh!!
Dismounting was briefed! And soon, went back home.. bathe and now on computer typing this blogpost!
Going out later with my bros (Nat, Ash & Andrew) and Felicia to catch the movie, "Memoirs of a Geisha". Meeting Andrew first to buy tix, before both of us proceeding to Fat East to meet Ash, to accompany him to do his CNY shopping.
Man.. so looking forward for this! At last can do out with my bros on weekdays, rather than always organised GJ events or church.

Updates..
24 Jan 2005 (Tuesday)
Today did fatigue work. Dun koe why the ASLC trainees (where once they pass out, they wld be sgt) cant do it. Haiz..
Anyway, we went to 2 blocks in our base to clear rubbish. It was apparently complained by my base RSM tat the place is dirty. So I being the standby (not P1 becos one of them change P1 with me the other time) went down with the rest of standby ppl and clear. Stupid NSmen.. They eat and after their exercise, dun koe how to clear. Need us to clear for them! Argh!! Then there is a box of ration to clear. Apparently its fresh ration which is not being eaten for a week.. so naturally it smell sourish! And who koes.. It maybe rotten liaoz! And no one want to throw. So being a rank of CPL and my character (which I want to get things done ASAP), I threw it away. It was heavy la but I still carry it! Then we walk to this place and throw where there is a big rubbish bin! And whilst walking there, the wind was strong and guess wat! It blew open the box cover and there comes the smell! I threw it down immediately and almost vomited! Managed to throw it away and fwah! Everytime the wind blew past the place, the smell was really horrible! But all thanx to me, the food is cleared! See.. I'm so great! Haha.. =P
Today is also my first time whereby I book out during a wkday but NOT go home; instead, go out, eat and shop @ Northpoint!
Actually, had no plans to go out but my shift mate jio me to go. So went out loh.. We went to KFC and eat. It was my 2nd dinner of the day. Ate at camp liaoz but then after when at KFC, the smell was tempting and I ate too. We ate the fortune feast with fiery flava chicken; NOT nice at all.. The sauce totally sucks la! Crispy chicken still the best! Then after which, we shop and walk around. Went to this shop which sells choker and I'm now like crazy over choker la.. And I bought one. It costs me $5.90 with FREE engraving! Very cool engraving of my name I muz say! Another satisfied customer from me! Then as we walk, I heard someone called my name and I turned, I saw Marcus! We chatted for a while, and he wanted to chat further over coffee but I rejected him becos I was full and also was with my friends; not very nice to juz leave them like tat. As we are abt to go back, my friend saw his sec sch teacher and he chatted for a while, while we waited for him. Bought this wk's 8days magazine at 7-11 store and they give me a free sample of dutch lady's ice latte.. Not too bad but a bit of the milky. So ya.. Came back to camp. Got a lift halfway frm a uncle working in my base, and then came back to bunk, bathe and by 2330, I was fast asleep.. Zzzz...

Shopping AGAIN !!!
Well.. its been 2 days since I've blogged! So here is a brief update of wat happened during the 2 days..
21 Jan 2006 (Saturday)
Church worship was good! Really good!! Shiok is the word! Ha.. Probably this time I find it good is becos' of all the songs I koe, and its not those songs which is those ulu ulu one which I dun koe.. and best still, all moderate/slow songs.. my forte of playing the piano is in slow songs.. so ya.. really enjoyed it a lot.. and then my bro, Andrew, played the drums for the whole worship! Power! Way to go bro!! Yap's bass guitar were cool and Mok's acoustic guitar strumming was the usual! Power! And then all of us were backing up! As usual, I sang the tenor part (which is a part higher than the original melody).. so most of the time, the songs sounded nice and harmonised! But the weird thing is tat all 4 of us (Yap, Mok, Andrew & myself) ALL sound the same! The soundman can't differentiate who is who on the microphone, so adjusting each volume during the worship session is a bit the difficult! Ha.. well.. I say again.. the worship was SHIOK!!
**Advice: Mok, pls. choose these type of oldies! or at least have only 1 new song in the worship set.. this helps the congregation to worship better as they are familiarise with the songs =).. so ya.. =).. hint hint to andrew too.. ya koe wat to do to achieve a shiok worship rite? ha ;)
After church, it was raining cats and dogs! And therefore, there was a bit of a restrain in where to eat dinner.. As a result, ppl were undecisive whether Meridian or Cuppage wld be a better place to have dinner.. some want to have Meridian whilst some want to have Cuppage.. so eventually, the decision made (which I'm sure it was an unhapppy one for some) was shown in the face of a certain member in GJ (shall not state the person name, in order to protect the identity of the person!)
Then followed my usual bros (Andrew, Nat & Ash) to eat dinner @ Cuppage Terrace. After much prowling round the foodcourt of wat to eat, I chose Pork Rib Rice (which only costs me $4, and comes with a FREE bowl of Hot & Sour Soup!.. and for an additional $0.50, you can get a egg! and tats wat I did!).. the dinner was power.. and then its dessert time.. a bit of the expensive, but ok..
Ate the same dessert as Nat, Durian Ice Kachang.. and believe u me.. he can make a BHB statement out of the comment I said regarding the sweetness of the ice kachang (which I find is super sweet becos the dessert lady apparently puts too much colored syrup on the dessert!).. and I juz make a comment to Nat tat "its so sweet.. so sweet".. and Nat replied, "thank you!".. my goodness.. see how BHB can Nat gets..
Then I asked him how come he is so BHB nowadays.. he said tat its only recently then he become so BHB!.. and he said he dun koe y.. and then I told him tat he loved to see gals in his JC "exlaimed in horror!".. and then Nat juz broke into laughter again but seriously speaking, he actually agreed wat I said! Haiz.. typical "Nat-ish" nature! ha.. =)
Then after which, took cab to camp and cab was so darn hard to flag down.. need to wait for close to 10 mins before an available cab arrived! Hopped on the cab and all the way on the cab, the cab driver told me many stories.. our conversation was quite interesting lah.. thru'out the cab ride, I wanted to ask him whether is he a Christian! But I didn't in the end lah.. so ya.. But this taxi driver is one of the most courteous cab driver I've seen so far! He was soft-spoken and he waved a goodbye to me before he left! See.. these kind of taxt drivers where to find? =)
Went back bunk and on the way during walking, the same friend who gave me a lift frm the main gate to my bunk last wk, did the same loh.. he gave me a lift in his car! Am so grateful lah!! Bathe and then by 2330, I was fast asleep..
22 Jan 2006 (Sunday)
A surprise awaits at tat morning! I suddenly saw one of my ex-sgt (who was frm GOH) who was being T-loaned frm another shift, and he came and mounted duty with us! Becos' one of my other sgt was on leave and another is in hospital.. so ya..
And when we went to the restroom, the restroom was filled with new cement which was being laid on the floor! So we had to let it dry.. so becos we reached there in the morning at 0900 and we can only go back into the restroom at 1200, therefore, we rested in an air-con room (which is actually for my sgt and officer) instead until it was time for us to move back.. so in a sense, we "earn" loh =).. the air-con was so shiok tat once everyone lie down, almost can fall asleep liaoz!
Then the worst thing happen.. when I was abt to sleep, my sgt called me to do a foot prowl and I no choice have to do it.. and then after tat, straight go for 2hr duty..
My 2hr duty fortunately is a table pass changing duty.. and apparently, some things happened inside and I had to settle it.. and I really trusted my gut feelings in solving the problem (which actually initially got my officer very worked up becos of the situation and the table guy who was b4 me).. but I wld think its NOT my gut feeling! Its the Holy Spirit tats helping me lah =).. so tat matter took me 1 solid hr to solve it lah! so ya..
Then came back to the air-con place to slack and eat lunch.. then to cut the long story short, we moved back to the restroom and becos my nxt duty was at 2300, therefore I got loads of time to sleep.. so was asleep by 1500 in the newly-cemented restroom.. and at 1700, my sgt call me to wake up and do drill.. haiz..
So woke up and do drill.. but had to wait for close to 30 mins, before the drill starts! So by the time I packed up the place and return the stores and stuff (and not mentioning tat I also took over duty frm my friend a while becos he wanted to eat dinner), its already abt an hour past since I started to wake up and do drill!
So my duty yesterday was actually abt 7hrs.. and this is considered slack liaoz.. but dun koe why still feel tired!
22 Jan 2006 (Monday)
Yes! Despite my tiredness frm duty, I went shopping today (becos' my rebate for my insurance come in liaoz!! Yeh!! I'm gonna cancel my insurance soon! dun want to waste the $16 every mth!).. Whenever I did shopping, I feel so so happy! Wat I bought is all said in the photo on the left! I bought items 3 & 4! Went to Bugis Junction and got it!
Item 3 was inspired by my buddy, Joshua Gouw.. saw he wore it on Sat to church.. look very good.. and I tot I shld get one myself too! So there I was.. went to the Adidas store and got the socks..
Then I proceed to 77th Street and got Item no. 4! Not bad rite? Dun like those tribal design choker! Look so satanic! so ya..
Then came home, had dinner (which never taste so good before, becos probably I ate too much camp food and had not had home-cooked food for a long time!), took photos of my clothing (or u cld say my CNY 2006 fashion) and then on the com, and I spent close to an hour using 3 programs (Adobe Photoshop, Picasa 2 & Microsoft PowerPoint) and loads of time adjusting, in order to perfecto it! This is not all tat I'll be wearing for CNY 2006! There are others too.. however, I did not take photos of it, becos they are somewat "old" goods (ie, wore b4).. so ya.. but its still relatively new becos I bought it late last yr! So ya..
Then was offline for a while, becos my computer technician came to do something with my router! Long story.. dun want and lazy to elaborate.. so ya.. but anyway, after 1 hr, my internet connection was up again (with all the wiring done by myself and my computer technician juz help me to plug in).. so ya.. thank God its working perfectly loh!
After re-wiring the plugs and stuff, and now, a bit the "seh" liaoz.. need to sleep soon becos waking up at 0530 tml morning!
As CNY 2006 drawing closer, the more excited I am.. becos can wear new clothes! haha.. behaving like a child rite.. I dun care! this is my blog, so I can write watever I want! ha..

Church worship was good! Really good!! Shiok is the word! Ha.. Probably this time I find it good is becos' of all the songs I koe, and its not those songs which is those ulu ulu one which I dun koe.. and best still, all moderate/slow songs.. my forte of playing the piano is in slow songs.. so ya.. really enjoyed it a lot.. and then my bro, Andrew, played the drums for the whole worship! Power! Way to go bro!! Yap's bass guitar were cool and Mok's acoustic guitar strumming was the usual! Power! And then all of us were backing up! As usual, I sang the tenor part (which is a part higher than the original melody).. so most of the time, the songs sounded nice and harmonised! But the weird thing is tat all 4 of us (Yap, Mok, Andrew & myself) ALL sound the same! The soundman can't differentiate who is who on the microphone, so adjusting each volume during the worship session is a bit the difficult! Ha.. well.. I say again.. the worship was SHIOK!!
**Advice: Mok, pls. choose these type of oldies! or at least have only 1 new song in the worship set.. this helps the congregation to worship better as they are familiarise with the songs =).. so ya.. =).. hint hint to andrew too.. ya koe wat to do to achieve a shiok worship rite? ha ;)
After church, it was raining cats and dogs! And therefore, there was a bit of a restrain in where to eat dinner.. As a result, ppl were undecisive whether Meridian or Cuppage wld be a better place to have dinner.. some want to have Meridian whilst some want to have Cuppage.. so eventually, the decision made (which I'm sure it was an unhapppy one for some) was shown in the face of a certain member in GJ (shall not state the person name, in order to protect the identity of the person!)
Then followed my usual bros (Andrew, Nat & Ash) to eat dinner @ Cuppage Terrace. After much prowling round the foodcourt of wat to eat, I chose Pork Rib Rice (which only costs me $4, and comes with a FREE bowl of Hot & Sour Soup!.. and for an additional $0.50, you can get a egg! and tats wat I did!).. the dinner was power.. and then its dessert time.. a bit of the expensive, but ok..
Ate the same dessert as Nat, Durian Ice Kachang.. and believe u me.. he can make a BHB statement out of the comment I said regarding the sweetness of the ice kachang (which I find is super sweet becos the dessert lady apparently puts too much colored syrup on the dessert!).. and I juz make a comment to Nat tat "its so sweet.. so sweet".. and Nat replied, "thank you!".. my goodness.. see how BHB can Nat gets..
Then I asked him how come he is so BHB nowadays.. he said tat its only recently then he become so BHB!.. and he said he dun koe y.. and then I told him tat he loved to see gals in his JC "exlaimed in horror!".. and then Nat juz broke into laughter again but seriously speaking, he actually agreed wat I said! Haiz.. typical "Nat-ish" nature! ha.. =)
Then after which, took cab to camp and cab was so darn hard to flag down.. need to wait for close to 10 mins before an available cab arrived! Hopped on the cab and all the way on the cab, the cab driver told me many stories.. our conversation was quite interesting lah.. thru'out the cab ride, I wanted to ask him whether is he a Christian! But I didn't in the end lah.. so ya.. But this taxi driver is one of the most courteous cab driver I've seen so far! He was soft-spoken and he waved a goodbye to me before he left! See.. these kind of taxt drivers where to find? =)
Went back bunk and on the way during walking, the same friend who gave me a lift frm the main gate to my bunk last wk, did the same loh.. he gave me a lift in his car! Am so grateful lah!! Bathe and then by 2330, I was fast asleep..

A surprise awaits at tat morning! I suddenly saw one of my ex-sgt (who was frm GOH) who was being T-loaned frm another shift, and he came and mounted duty with us! Becos' one of my other sgt was on leave and another is in hospital.. so ya..
And when we went to the restroom, the restroom was filled with new cement which was being laid on the floor! So we had to let it dry.. so becos we reached there in the morning at 0900 and we can only go back into the restroom at 1200, therefore, we rested in an air-con room (which is actually for my sgt and officer) instead until it was time for us to move back.. so in a sense, we "earn" loh =).. the air-con was so shiok tat once everyone lie down, almost can fall asleep liaoz!
Then the worst thing happen.. when I was abt to sleep, my sgt called me to do a foot prowl and I no choice have to do it.. and then after tat, straight go for 2hr duty..
My 2hr duty fortunately is a table pass changing duty.. and apparently, some things happened inside and I had to settle it.. and I really trusted my gut feelings in solving the problem (which actually initially got my officer very worked up becos of the situation and the table guy who was b4 me).. but I wld think its NOT my gut feeling! Its the Holy Spirit tats helping me lah =).. so tat matter took me 1 solid hr to solve it lah! so ya..
Then came back to the air-con place to slack and eat lunch.. then to cut the long story short, we moved back to the restroom and becos my nxt duty was at 2300, therefore I got loads of time to sleep.. so was asleep by 1500 in the newly-cemented restroom.. and at 1700, my sgt call me to wake up and do drill.. haiz..
So woke up and do drill.. but had to wait for close to 30 mins, before the drill starts! So by the time I packed up the place and return the stores and stuff (and not mentioning tat I also took over duty frm my friend a while becos he wanted to eat dinner), its already abt an hour past since I started to wake up and do drill!
So my duty yesterday was actually abt 7hrs.. and this is considered slack liaoz.. but dun koe why still feel tired!

Yes! Despite my tiredness frm duty, I went shopping today (becos' my rebate for my insurance come in liaoz!! Yeh!! I'm gonna cancel my insurance soon! dun want to waste the $16 every mth!).. Whenever I did shopping, I feel so so happy! Wat I bought is all said in the photo on the left! I bought items 3 & 4! Went to Bugis Junction and got it!Item 3 was inspired by my buddy, Joshua Gouw.. saw he wore it on Sat to church.. look very good.. and I tot I shld get one myself too! So there I was.. went to the Adidas store and got the socks..
Then I proceed to 77th Street and got Item no. 4! Not bad rite? Dun like those tribal design choker! Look so satanic! so ya..
Then came home, had dinner (which never taste so good before, becos probably I ate too much camp food and had not had home-cooked food for a long time!), took photos of my clothing (or u cld say my CNY 2006 fashion) and then on the com, and I spent close to an hour using 3 programs (Adobe Photoshop, Picasa 2 & Microsoft PowerPoint) and loads of time adjusting, in order to perfecto it! Hey ppl! I'm online again.. well.. I wld think this is a boh liao post.. juz to make my presence known tats all! ha..
Ok.. gtg and bathe now, as wld be going church later for music practice and youth service..
but the worse thing is after church, need to bk in by 2300 tonite.. haiz.. super sianz!
And nxt wk is a sucky week for me.. Mounting duty on family reunion dinner day (28/01).. haix.. so ya.. super sianz! Then also dun koe wat drills to be done on tml's mounting.. haix.. becos' next week is the predicted week for my base no notice security audit! Everything muz do swee-swee or else, kenna scolded by superiors.. haix.. Everything in army is wayang! Juz hope tat when the crunch comes (ie, I sway sway involved at tat time of the audit), I wld koe wat to do loh! Or else.. haix..
I'm the type who like very kan-cheong one.. scared forget this and tat.. so ya.. juz hope I can remember lah.. pray for me? Thanx =)
Well.. this coming Monday, may go shopping again! This time, maybe at Bugis.. I wanna find a choker to match my CNY clothing! Chokers are cool sia! Juz hope I can find one loh =).. Any lobangs frm you readers? If yes, pls. tag in my Shoutbox? Thanx =)

Chinese New Year Shopping!!
Well.. Chinese New Year shopping is one thing which I've been looking forward this whole week at camp!
After my lunch at home, bathe and got out of the hse.. first stop, to Beach Road army market to buy some stuff..
Then after which, its me walked to Lavander MRT frm Beach Road (which takes abt 10 mins) and went to Chinatown for my CNY shopping!
Wanted to buy the "Lim Chee Guan" bak kwa for this CNY.. but then, to my disappointment, they said sold out.. so disbelieving, I went to the front and see the stocks of bak kwa! And there was a lot.. so I was saying how come it cld be sold out when there are so many pcs in front? I then see the lady boss coming to tell the remaining unfortunate few (including me) tat the reason why no more is becos to avoid disappointments frm customers.. becos when ppl buy, they easily can buy close to 6-10kgs! So to avoid disappointments the next day when customers want to buy the bak kwa, they have to ration their sales.. Can see ppl are complaining, but the lady boss dun care! She still stand firm to her decision!!.. So ya.. and the queue was super long loh!!
The main thing I want this CNY is actually "Lim Chee Guan" bak kwa, and therefore I can't get it today (if I want, I can go back tml 0900 to try my luck again.. but then after discussion with my mum, becos she was saying dun koe how long the queue wld be tml morning at 0900, and suddenly, it last till afternoon, and I can't go church? so ya.. thinking of it, also true lah.. so ya.. didnt buy loh!!)
So naturally, I was disappointed.. haix..
Then after tat, guess the next best choice wld be the "Mei Zhen Xiang" Bak Kwa.. bought 1 kg! =).. packaging was good.. and then, met up with my dad.. and both of us went to shop the 500 makeshift stores in Chinatown.. and as we walked, we see wat we cld buy for CNY.. so my dad pay some and I paid some.. some of the stuffs I bought, I was very satisfied with it!! So ya.. love the shopping and the crowd atmosphere at Chinatown!
Then we took the NEL back frm Chinatown.. and on the way, my dad and I counted how much we spend on the new yr goodies.. and its a whopping close to $70! fwah!! tats a lot lah!!
Came home, ate dinner and now on computer blogging! Cool rite =)..

Exercise Rover finally over!!
Fwah! Exercise Rover in my base lasted frm Monday (16/01) nite to Thursday (19/01) 1900 hrs!
The duties were somehow slack, but I still feel tired.. here is the account of it..
After dismounting duty on Monday, went back bunk and sleep.. but didnt expect the exercise to start tat same nite.. when during briefing, they said its on tues (17/01)!! So rations are being packed for us for all meals (so this means NO one is allowed to go to the Cookhouse to hv their meals!.. so this means NO sweet drinks.. haiz..)
So in the evening, my officer/sgts wanted abt 8 ppl to help the mounting shift tat day to start guarding the Exercise Rover's duty positions!
Ppl start pointing fingers (or shld I say choosing their buddies for duties) and fortunately, no one chose me and I was safe! Becos' I wanna watch some very interesting programs happening on TV tat evening!
Then the next day mounted duty.. wat is gonna to happen is really shocking! I tot it wld be a mount, dismount thing.. tat is I mount on tues, dismount on wed and stuff.. but then, in the afternoon, the other shift came and told us tat they wld be also mounting.. so this means one thing! All of us wld be mounting WITHOUT dismounting (except if the exercise cuts!).. everyone was tired.. another shift after finished doing the emplacements/prowls, went to mount duty! Tat is super shiong lah!
Enemy injects and other simulated scenerios were then presented to us and this means tat everytime an inject/scenerio is being presented, we have no choice but to run the contingency drills! Believe you me.. cutting of the water supply is one of the scenrios posted.. so we did not have water for 2 hrs!!
Becos of too many ppl mounting n the restroom not enuf beds, ppl (including me) were taking blankets and place it on the floor and slept! Until my staff sgt saw this, and said tat my shift can go up to bunk and bathe and sleep and be back at a stipulated timing by my officer.. so happily we went and tat was ard midnight, and worse still.. the water supply wld be restored only after 0200 tat day.. When I reached bunk, I developed a slight flu, but was ok the next morning.. anyway, for all those who went up to bunk and sleep, never bathe and they woke up like 4+am to bathe.. so ya..
Then its duty again and the whole thing juz starts all over again.. but this time, the next day, I went down earlier to take over duty, becos I was doing a 24hr prowl duty.. quite slack duty (becos contingency drills and duties under the hot sun is a no no for me!).. but it cld be sianz after 12 hrs in tat place! so the only entertainment u have is ur buddy who is doing duty with u at the same time! So tats wat I did loh.. we chatted everything under the sun! sometimes we are so bored tat we talk rubbish, becos we dun koe wat we are talking! ha..
There are of course the hot and stuffy times in the prowl! This happens in the afternoons where the sun is scorching hot! But you may then think raining is good.. however, you are all WRONG!
Becos it did rained at nite tat day, and I tell you.. it was the most horrible experience! Half of my body (including my clothes) were wet and becos I perspire so much in the afternoon, I reeked of sweat, and imagine I'm sleeping with wet and stinky clothes, and worse still.. it was sandy too on the table (which we are sitting and sleeping on!).. The experience is machiam like field camp! eww.. disgusting!
But thank goodness, again I was able to go back bunk and sleep.. this time I bathed lah.. and the next day, did duty all over again!
As at 0900 on thurs (19/01), the base exercise was offically declared cut.. but then, my OC wasnt very happy with our performance for the past few days, so he extended the exercise.. we were super sianz loh! Dun koe when exercise cut and the restroom is getting too over-crowded and stuffy! this is not right at all loh!!
But thank goodness, at 1800 on the same day, my OC declared Exercise Rover cut! man.. u shld have see tat smile on my eyes loh!! I was so so happy! Everyone suddenly so happy and energetic!
Then at 1900, went to Eastern to carry on my duty.. Apparently, I did duty frm 2300-0500! again the witching hour of doing duty.. haiz..
There was actually a flaw in the detailing, but no one realised it until one person told me abt it at abt 2345! Tat was too late.. so we are like cracking our head to see wats the best way to fill up the flaw! But the person who told me abt it, actually volunteered himself and during his rest time (even though my duty partner call him to sleep until his duty time), he did not sleep.. so you can say tat he did NOT sleep for the whole nite loh!! Poor thing..
At 0745 this morning, he woke me up and called me to help him do his duty while he go and sleep.. I have to like crawl out of bed and eat breakfast, and then do duty for him loh! No choice.. muz let him sleep..
Dismounted quite early.. actually muz do a bit of sai-kang, but then, nothing was done (another shift did it).. we actually waited 2 hrs for my officer for a briefing! (he initially told us 10 mins, but then, it turned to 2 hrs.. haix..)
And soon, came the briefing.. and it was an hour long! Wasted 3 hrs in camp sia! I had plans for the rest of the day.. haiz..
So after which, came home and had lunch at 1530! tats how late my lunch was! so ya..
Then I was thinking and counting how many hrs we've mounted duty.. and becos' my mental sums were good (ya rite.. as if.. ha =P), therefore I counted, and a total of 96hrs was my mounting duty time, instead of the normal 24hrs!! Mind you tat 96hrs was CONSECUTIVE!! so ya..

And soon, came the briefing.. and it was an hour long! Wasted 3 hrs in camp sia! I had plans for the rest of the day.. haiz..
So after which, came home and had lunch at 1530! tats how late my lunch was! so ya..
Then I was thinking and counting how many hrs we've mounted duty.. and becos' my mental sums were good (ya rite.. as if.. ha =P), therefore I counted, and a total of 96hrs was my mounting duty time, instead of the normal 24hrs!! Mind you tat 96hrs was CONSECUTIVE!! so ya..

A SURPRISED MEETING WITH AN OLD PAL
Well.. at least something happy happened to me today while on my way to dinner @ Meridian.. followed Josh & Alvin. Alvin went to draw money frm ATM, while Josh and I walked into 7-11 and juse see see look look!
When Alvin finished drawing his money frm the ATM, we all set off together for Meridian!! Then, the surprise came! Guess who I saw!! I saw Joel (my CLOSEST pal in my recent mission trip, The Ultimate Road Trip 2004).
This photo you see here is taken during my mission trip.. One of whom u see is me, and the other guy is Joel lah! I was tat fat/chubby at tat time (becos NOT in NS @ tat time mahz!).. This pose quite cool rite? haha =P
Joel & I was quite stunned initially abt seeing each other, becos its been a year since we met! Therefore, we had a good solid chat of abt 10 mins at entrance of Centrepoint and then I left to have dinner at Meridian. Will chat and meet up with him again soon (hopefully) after our meeting today..
Ate the usual, Korean, at Meridian. Had a craving.. muz satisfy! I aimed to eat it before my base exercise starts and before I booked in!
Then its time to go back camp, and so I cabbed to camp!! Josh persuaded me to take bus with him, but I refused, simply becos I was too lazy to walk up Toranto! So ya.. found a cab quite easily, but then the cab I flagged down has to make tat 1 big round again; I flagged the cab at one location initially, but relaised it was the main road and cabs not allowed to stop there.. so ya.. and the worst thing is tat its jam almost a quarter of the joruney frm Orchard to camp! Th worst thing is tat the meter kept running; so by the time I'm done with the jam, close to $6 has past! This means $6 worth of journey, I'm stuck in jams! Arghh.. sickening!! It doesn't even help tat there was a $1 surcharge (due to flagging down a cab in the CBD area!), which I didn't koe of initially, becos all laong I take cab, no cab driver has charged $1 extra! So when I stepped into the cab and saw tat $1 extra, I asked the cab driver abt the doubts of $1 extra. He told me the reason and I juz take it as it is lah! When reached camp, the fare was $13.50 (excluding the $1 extra).. I gave $15 and the cab driver gave me back $1. I was like a bit confused as to he shld give me $0.50 instead, but then, he gave me $1. Wanted to ask him why, but didnt bother!!
Hitched a ride frm my friend to bunk. After reaching bunk, I bathed, and the water is so darn cold!! At 2330, I offically slept so soundly tat I didn't koe tat there was a quarrel and eventually a fight in the middle of the night! Tat's how tired I am!
Woke up the next morning and I was super sianz becos I was mounting duty! Haix..
However, one thing I was happy.. Yesterday, despite the bk-in timing and stuff, it was not as glommy as I tot! Yeh!!

Anger & Disappointments are part of life??
Well.. this post is gonna be a little bit harsh.. as in the words phrase or stuff.. so ya.. be warned! Becos' I'm super pissed off and wld like to vent my anger on this blog! So ya.. so here goes..
First, shall start with the good news (becos' there's only 1).. the good news was tat I was mobilised last nite (whilst on duty).. so therefore, going to church later is not much of a problem! PTL!! =).. Was so so happy tat I was mobilised last nite loh!!
Ok.. now.. here are the bad news..
(1) Long hours of duty
2 days back, my friend called me and asked me whether izzit possible to change P1 with him, as he had to go home and get stuff for our base exercise next week.. so I was like since I'm not going home during standbys, therefore, I offered to help him lah.. then after I agreed, I realise tat I made the wrong choice, becos' I had to do extra duties.. but then again, I agreed.. so can't break the promise liaoz.. I actually tot of it initially, but then gave up in the end, becos' if I do so, I wld appear a jerk.. so ya.. anyway, went to guard a gate in camp (where the contractors wld come in to our base to do some construction work) for abt 4 hrs.. of course it was raining heavily, and it doesnt help tat my boots have cracks for the water to seep into my boots.. so therefore, my sock was 30% soaked!
Then, went back bunk and sleep.. next morning woke up at 0545, and then refresh myself for a whilst, then go down to guardroom to help do duty.. so becos' I guarded the gate yesterday, therefore, have to guard the gate frm 0800-1130.. was supposed to be till 1300, but then due to unforeseen circumstances, my sgt had to go back guardroom and therefore, I was brought back to guardroom to do duty..
My duty was supposed to start at 1500.. but then frm 1130-1300, this period, did not really rest, becos I was doing some other minor stuff like clearing up the restroom as well as laying the bedsheets.. juz as I tot after laying the bedsheets I can rest/sleep for a while before my 1500 duty, I kenna called by my officer to do escort for a certain guy.. but after much questioning, I did not do the escort.. instead, I was to go and replace another person's duty frm 1300-1500.. and then cont duty frm 1500-1700.. was not supposed to do the duty of 1700-1900.. but I told my officer, I help tat guy do the 1700-1900 duty, then today dismounting gate, he do for me.. my officer say ok.. told my sgt abt it..
Then at 1900, a call came frm MINDEF, telling us tat I was mobilised.. so there again, continued my duty abt 10 mins later, then I pulled back my duty frm tat place.. by then, I was super shacked..
Then, went back to restroom and then left only 2 persons inside (including us).. the WHOLE standby shift came down at abt 1800 to help in the mobilisation, becos' there was they expected the mobilisation to be evening (but didnt koe wat time.. so they juz came down).. Then I suddenly felt so paiseh.. the other ppl out there are mounting, but I was there resting.. so when my officer call for help, I offered.. but never did I expected tat it wld last frm 1900-2100! I was deployed as a traffic controller for a certain section of the base.. if I was not there, the situation wld be chaotic!! so ya..
So after 2100, went back to restroom and rest for the nite.. so if you count, I was on CONTINUOUS duty for 14 hrs (frm 0800-2100!).. so u say tats shiong or not.. after my officer asked me whether I was ok.. and then dun koe wat he meant by when he asked me, "you still can mount?".. I juz smiled and ignored him lah..
Then at 2230, my friend woke me up and told me tat there was a change in duty.. I was detailed for a main gate and foot prowl at 0300-0500.. I was shocked.. actually, I was detailed for a table duty frm 0300-0500.. so ya.. then there was a change.. haiz..
So in total, my duty was 17hrs all in all! and tat is super shiong lah!!
Oh.. did I mention tat 4 men was on MC status yesterday, which explains why we did so much duties?
(2) Booking in timing!
People guess wat! Tml my shift is slated to mount duty tml.. so by right, becos' we dismounted today, we are supposed to book in tml before 0745 and mount duty.. at least tats wat last time when I was in GOH and the rest of the ppl are mounting on a 2 shift system, they come back the morning after they dismount and not the nite before, becos if this is so, then can u imagine tat they dun need to sleep at home and spend time with their family liaoz..
So I tot tat most probably this is the situation for us.. but then guess wat! My Officer-In-Command (OC) (who is directly in charge of the whole squadron shift!) said no.. muz book in 2300 TONIGHT!!.. yes.. so tat means no sleep at home tonite! I tell you.. when I heard tat, I feel like cursing and swearing my OC.. its not only me.. everyone in my shift was like cursing and swearing.. but wat can we do? We juz have to listen to orders!!
In view frm 160106-200106, my base is having a base exercise.. so no one in my squadron is allowed to bk out and we are on a 2 shift system! so ya..
Anyway, coming back to the issue.. when I heard its 2300 tonight, I was super sianz and was on my nerves! Moreover, I did not have enuf sleep.. so u can imagine how tired and agitated am I!! arghhh.. I was on the verge of mouthing vulgarities (dun wish to go into detail.. I wld juz say the most common vulgarity tat ppl speak!.. so ya.. I'm leaving it to your imagination!) at those who "stepped" on my toes!
(3) Mention of IPPT
Well ppl.. remember last time I said abt my IPPT? Yes ppl.. I have passed every station, but not fulfilled the pass standard! I actually failed the standard by 2 pts! Anyway, dun wish to remember the sad stuff!
So remember juz now I said I was very pissed and I wld actually scold those who "stepped" on my toes? so ya..
When I went back bunk, the 2 failures (who failed frm the beginning) frm another shift suddenly came in and shouted they passed their IPPT! And can u imagine how I felt? The more they talked abt it, the sadder I became! And sometimes angry too! I was actually almost on the verge of asking them to "shut up"! but didnt in the end loh..
Anyway, whilst walking down toranto all by myself (yes.. need some peace and quiet), I was on some soft music on radio and at the same time, feeling sad, disappointed and lousy, due to my failure lah.. I was thinking why ppl can do it whilst I can't??
I plan to take it after CNY.. see whether got time.. as well as I need to prepare myself physically.. becos' I think my stamina is dropping liaoz.. so ya..
See how lah.. but then again, I'm very lazy to train lah.. haiz.. see how lah.. but I muz confirm take and pass before I ORD in Oct!.. so ya.. actually, now I dun mind RT training frm my shift sgt.. like tat if train, I sure can pass one.. =).. Pray for me in this area of perserverance and strength? Thanx =)

Well.. some ppl are juz real irritating.. juz like my sis! I tell you.. I was on the verge of slapping her in her face (becos' she "answer" me back in a very rude way!!) She makes my blood boil!
As you all koe, I'm having my own com and she has her iBook! so since internet/router has been installed, she shld use her iBook as much as possible, rather than hogging my com!! I'm actually rushing for time to do up my blogpost (becos wld not blog for close to a wk!), and there she do her project and talk/discuss to her friend.. waited to abt an hour for her to finish.. kept chasing her and in the end, she gave up!
She was actually on my com to do something with the prog, Macromedia something.. I told her tat I need to use to update my blog becos wont be using tonite.. but she didn't care.. she juz say wait wait.. arghh..
Then I told her to install the prog into her com and use her iBook to go net and dl watever u want since u got internet too.. then she said she dun koe how to open the program on the iBook.. so I told her, "since u dun koe how to use the prog (which is for PC), why still get the iBook? U get the iBook also no use!" fwah! I tell you ah.. I dun care already.. I juz "shoot" her!! argghhh..
So now after much pestering, tats why I can use the com.. so ya..
Ok lah.. thanx ppl for listening to my woes.. dun feel tat it helped much venting my anger in my blog.. but it sure does a little..
so as mentioned juz now, wont be blogging for close to a wk, becos I wld be in camp till fri..

Truly Singnet, Truly Broadband!
Well ppl.. its official! I'm on WIRELESS! And yes.. I'm happy.. In fact, very happy! Not only I'm happy for my wireless connection, but also becos the computer is now in my room! In fact, I'm blogging in my room right now! This is so cool! Ok.. no words can express my happiness rite now! I'm juz happy lah.. ok.. I shall stop =P
Yesterday's duty was one of the slackest duty I've done in Eastern Gate so far.. not becos its lesser duties.. but I wld think its becos of the arrangement of the duties by my sgt.. so ya.. of course, am still tired lah.. becos' I got a shock in the morning..
Originally was supposed to do a jeep duty at Eastern Gate at 0700-0900.. but then, I woke up like 0640 becos' need to eat breakfast and stuff before doing duty.. but then, my sgt got a call frm Main Guardroom tat they dun have enuf ppl doing duty.. so my sgt has to call one of us to go back to Guardroom.. and initially, it was not me and I was not hoping for my sgt to call me, becos' going back to Main Guardroom means more shiong duties.. anyway, my worse nightmare came true and my sgt called my name to go back.. Initially it wasnt me but the person was off duty like 30 mins ago.. so I juz went back to Main Guardroom for my duties loh..
When I went there, one of my sgt asked me stuff and I told him my past duties at Eastern the day before.. in the end, he told me my duty was on "standby".. haiz.. But anyway, I'm mobilised and went to do CCTV instead, where if the sgts were out on duty, then I wld be the one who handles anything tat is urgent (like pick up calls tat were diverted to the room, as well as do loads of other stuff!).. so in other words, having 1 person in tat room is simply chaotic lah! haiz.. but still manage to do it in the end!
Then at 0830, my officer called me to do my last duty (ie, opening up a bit which is abt 500m away frm where I am, and I muz walk to tat place) at 0900, which is a bit of the far! But no choice.. I can't reject.. even my sgt asked me why am I doing it instead of the mounting shift, becos rightfully, it shld be their duty! haix.. no choice.. officer open mouth, I muz follow.. haix.. =(
Anyway, when I mounted duty yesterday, half the time, I'm thinking abt my computer at home! No doubt tat there are ppl for me to "play" with (ppl like Andrew & Nat, pls. dun think otherwise! Naughty, naughty!).. but duty was still boring for me! Moreover, its a public holiday and I shld be out there in the civilian world enjoying, but there was I in camp yesterday doing duty.. haix..
At dismounting, I spoke to my sgt regarding abt my P1 during the CNY period.. Apparently, I shld be on standby on the 2nd day of CNY (301006), but becos I wanted to change my P1，therefore, I decide to change with an Indian friend of mine.. but then again, when I told my sgt abt this, he said tat there wld be changes in my P1 (which is to say tat my grp on tat day dun need to do P1.. he told me dun need to care who do P1.. he juz tells me tat my grp need not do.. so ya.. so thank God lah! But hope in the end wont kenna play out loh!
However, I've got a feeling tat if I wont be going to church for the WHOLE mth of January, becos its either I'm busy in camp serving P1 or doing duty.. haix.. so you koe wat this means? It means tat I wont get to see my bros in church for 1 solid mth! =( Even this sat (140106), I dun even koe whether I'll be able to attend church, becos there is a fairly high chance tat I'll be mobilised!! haix.. Its really sad & disappointing to not being able to see my bros in church for 1 whole solid mth! haix..
This wk, my bro, Andrew, leading worship. Was supposed to play the piano for him, but after receiving news tat I may be mobilised, I'm not sure whether I'll be at church or wld I be mobilised until juz in time to reach church for Youth Service? I dun koe!! I'm leaving it to God!! =)
After finishing duty today, went for a haircut! Its super comfortable after a haircut! Surprisingly, the haircut still costs me $8.. it did NOT increase a dollar yet! so ya.. For those of you who didnt koe, its during the CNY period, tat Malay barbers will increase a dollar in their haircut prices. These Malay barabers really koe how to make money!
Anyway, decide to cut my hair primarily is becos my hair is super long & I can't stand long hair.. so muyz cut loh!! And also becos of CNY lah, so muz cut loh!!
Oh.. I heard frm my camp mate tat I'll be getting my advance pay of $520 on 280106 for the period of 100206-100306 (ie, my Feb pay!).. so if this is ture, then for Feb, I wld so called NOT be awarded any pay loh! Dun koe whether to be sad or hapy loh.. haix..
Then in the afternoon, called up my insurance company to ask them abt my insurance rebate which is supposed to come either last mth or this mth! And surprisingly, I dun need to say anything, the person who picked up the call actually knew wat I wanted! And the person said its credited at the end of the mth! so ya.. juz hope wat they say is true loh.. or I'm going to learn frm Tjow and exercise my consumer rights .. muhahaha..
After cutting my hair, went home.. Lunch was Mac.. its been a long while since I've eaten Mac.. I wld think tat I'm addicted to Mac liaoz.. becos the craving of Mac juz keeps linger in my mind.. I wld think its the fries! Apparently almost every duty, my camp mate wld call Mac Delivery.. so seeing them eat is tempting! haix.. anyway, ate the NEW McSpicy.. and fwah! It was really spicy! Moreover, I add chilli sauce.. ha.. its hot, hot and hot!!!
When I reach home, had lunch, bathe and transfer the com frm my sis rm to my room ALL by myself! Did all the re-wiring frm the start (Phew! tat was a hard job.. especially I'm allergic to dust.. so my nose was itchy all along, and tat is super irritating!).. it was certainly a hard job sia, for a computer hardware illiterate like me! I was practically try to remove as little wires frm my CPU as possible, so as to aviod confusion! So when I started to remove one, I wld remember the placement of the wire in order to ensure tat it worked well! And thank God, everything went on well and everything working fine and dandy now! =)
Then I got a after shock.. can't access to internet.. called up my computer technician again.. initially, he cant think of any problems! but then, after dun koe wat he do, he juz meddle with something, and call someone for an IP address, and tata! he's done! and my internet worked on juz fine! =).. Thank God!!
Ok.. I think this blogpost is long enuf.. so I shall end here for your eyes to rest, whilst I shall enjoy the wireless and computer facility in my room! Yeh!!

Yesterday's duty was one of the slackest duty I've done in Eastern Gate so far.. not becos its lesser duties.. but I wld think its becos of the arrangement of the duties by my sgt.. so ya.. of course, am still tired lah.. becos' I got a shock in the morning..
Originally was supposed to do a jeep duty at Eastern Gate at 0700-0900.. but then, I woke up like 0640 becos' need to eat breakfast and stuff before doing duty.. but then, my sgt got a call frm Main Guardroom tat they dun have enuf ppl doing duty.. so my sgt has to call one of us to go back to Guardroom.. and initially, it was not me and I was not hoping for my sgt to call me, becos' going back to Main Guardroom means more shiong duties.. anyway, my worse nightmare came true and my sgt called my name to go back.. Initially it wasnt me but the person was off duty like 30 mins ago.. so I juz went back to Main Guardroom for my duties loh..
When I went there, one of my sgt asked me stuff and I told him my past duties at Eastern the day before.. in the end, he told me my duty was on "standby".. haiz.. But anyway, I'm mobilised and went to do CCTV instead, where if the sgts were out on duty, then I wld be the one who handles anything tat is urgent (like pick up calls tat were diverted to the room, as well as do loads of other stuff!).. so in other words, having 1 person in tat room is simply chaotic lah! haiz.. but still manage to do it in the end!
Then at 0830, my officer called me to do my last duty (ie, opening up a bit which is abt 500m away frm where I am, and I muz walk to tat place) at 0900, which is a bit of the far! But no choice.. I can't reject.. even my sgt asked me why am I doing it instead of the mounting shift, becos rightfully, it shld be their duty! haix.. no choice.. officer open mouth, I muz follow.. haix.. =(

Ready or not...
Well.. this is a fast one.. becos as you can see frm this timing, its 1.24am when I write this, and I'm gonna wake up and go back to camp in like 4 hrs time.. so ya..
With effect frm now, my blog wld be updated at least once every 3 days! The reason is becos' i dun really want to come back on standby days, where I had to go home and then bk in 2300 on the same nite! Spend 2 hrs at home, before back to camp again.. waste cab money and time.. so ya.. I muz why spend the time in camp, and probably sleep early or sumthing! Even my mum supports my decision.. so ya.. but of course, there are times where I wld juz come home lah.. to like come back once in a while.. staying in camp cld be boring ya koe =)
And oh.. tell u readers tat I'm going wireless soon.. once the router is all done up in my hse by my computer technician, then I wld be wireless.. so dun be surprised if you see my sis and me logging into net all at the same time! =)..
Practically spend like 2 hrs on the computer today this morning by my computer technician, however, he can't solve the problem of the router! so ya.. after 2 hrs and he's still figuring out.. long story.. dun want to bore you all readers out there..
so after my computer technician is gone, went out with my parents and shop for my CNY clothing! And I'm proud to say tat after like 5-6 hrs, then I found my clothing.. and guess where I bought it! At Espirit! Yes! Espirit! Practically spend more than a hundred bunks on my CNY clothing this yr! I'm quite happy with it actually, becos this is the first Espirit clothing I have in my wardrobe.. so you all may ask me.. why so expensive still buy?
Well..reason is simple.. currently, there is this promotion of like when you walk in, you wld get a sure win lucky dip! so ya.. so my mum took 3 at 1 go (the person gave it to her lah).. and 2 of it was $28 off regular denim items and 18% off regular priced T-shirts! So all in all, my discount frm the 2 coupons was abt $30! and tat in Espirit is considered a lot liaoz!
So ya.. currently heart pain becos spend so much on clothing.. but then again, I'm happy.. becos' the CNY clothing tat I bought is real nice =)... if got chance, I take photo and show it to you all =)
Then came back home like 10+pm.. bathe and waited to let my sis hog off the computer b4 I started using at 11.30pm.. and so ya.. going to log off soon!
Oh.. the computer in a few days time is gonna be in my room instead of its current location, which is in my sis room! Yeh!! So tat means tat I can have own late nites on the computer, and my room now looks more complete with a computer! People envy me.. haha.. =P
ok lah.. gtg liaoz.. get ready for wednesday, becos 2 things will happen.. the computer wld be in my room, and my wireless connection shld be ready by then.. so ya..
So then, I shall update you all of my wireless connection progress!

Back To Duty!
Hey readers! Well. its a new yr and you all may ask me how I'm coping with my duty! Well.. it somehow suck lah!! Feel so tired.. so fatigue.. but then still muz do duty.. Haiz.. this is my duty, so I must do loh.. =(
Anyway, was at Eastern Gate doing duty yesterday, and did a 16hr duty, with only 6 hrs of sleep the most! So practically was awake for 18hrs, and judging frm my lack of sleep (during my leave.. becos' muz enjoy my leave and make full use of it mahz!!), its quite impossible to be "switched back" to RP mode within a single mounting lah.. need 2-3 more mountings before I can be fullu switched back lah! But then again, this is normal. People coming back frm leave will always feel like this loh!
Frankly speaking, during my whole dat @ Eastern (be it during duty or not), I was thinking abt the activites done during my leave, esp. events like the Countdown Nite with my bros (Ash, Nat & Andrew). It brings back so much memories, and at the same time, I have the "urge" of logging on to MSN and chat with my bros lah! haiz.. guess this is all not possible during my duty lahz! So guess tat this is wishful thinking on my part loh! =(
Anyway, its duty yesterday and today dismount! Yehz! My friend actually wanted to 'tio' me out to go shopping, but then again, I was too tired.. so therefore never go! Moreover, I need to update this blog of mine.. so ya! See, I so faithful to you readers.. so you all better be grateful huh! =)
Then, its come back to blog and then eyes started to get heavy.. so decide to take a light afternoon nap.. but b4 I cld close my eyes, a tot came to my head, which I muz solve it or else, I wld not be able to sleep in peace!
To cut the long story short, it is actually regarding my sis wanted to get a router for her new-bought laptop (for her course), so need to call up SingTel & ask the necessary stuff.. so I kept calling and talking to different staff of SingTel frm 1730-1900! Then decide its time to go and get one (since today I off, and its the only free time I had).. so went to the Citylink branch instead of Bugis, becos' the bus to Bugis is simply too long.. so didnt want to wait.. so take MRT! =).. juz as I was abt to cross the MRT gantry, my com tech called (something earlier prompted me to call my com tech b4 getting the router!).. haiz.. =(
But thank goodness, my com tech is coming soon to buy for me a new router (hope not too ex) and then fix for me.. so ya.. =)
And I was running up and down like hell lah to operate the router.. a "thank you" was not even said by my sis.. haiz.. Then, it doesnt help tat I did not have enuf sleep, therefore feeling very sleepy as I write this blog.. ZZZZzzzzz...
ok lah.. need to go and chat with my bros lioaz.. Think they are online! Chatting starts now!! =)

What a start to a new Year!
First & foremost, I wld like to wish you all readers out there, have a
HAPPY & BLESSED NEW YEAR 2006!!
*Hope you all like this new revamped blog! Its especially for you readers! =)
Well.. it has been great to end 2005 and start 2006!.. Read on to find out more!
Farewell dinner for Wendy & Sarah @ Seoul Garden & Haagen Dazs
On Fri (30/12), went to meet Josh, Sarah & Wendy for a farewell dinner (for both Sarah & Wendy!).. Met up with Josh @ City Hall MRT like at 1830, but apparently, he had some council meeting before this.. so therefore, he was late! Worst still, Sarah & Wendy was early, so 3 of us waited for Josh lahz.. haiz.. he ah..
Then he came in his shorts and we was like "Josh, u like tat going to eat dinner with us? No way loh!".. but thank God he brought a change of clothes.. so ya.. We went first to Seoul Garden (which Josh, who was the organiser, initially said tat it was a surprise, but then after much probing frm me on tat day, he finally said tat it was Seoul Garden!).. Actually, was not very keen in Seoul Garden at first, becos' I tot the food there sux.. but then after the other previous day's trip to Seoul Garden, I've changed my mind.. and wld think tat its not a bad place to dine anyway!
It has improved its variety of choices.. it ranges frm jap fanfare (like sushi & other stuff) to western (eg: pizza) to asian (eg: chinese tim sum, satay, etc).. so the spread was quite good.. moreover, I think we have to pay additional for free flow of drinks (drinks were green tea, lemon tea, peach tea & lemonade & soft drinks)..

This pic shows the self-made dessert tat I made.. posing at the camera with Josh! My dessert nice rite? =).. inside got atap seed (commonly known as atap chee), soursop and dried pesimmons.. top with ice and decorated with colourful starch bits!
This pic depicts tat Wendy is trigger happy! Apparently, both Sarah & Wendy was trigger happy lah.. dun koe wat spurtted them to do it.. but ya.. anyway, after which, we wanted to go to Haagen Dazs to eat ice-cream.. but then, no space initially.. so we reserved and then we went to the bridge near Esplanade and walk walk.. and then the person called to say a table is available, and then we proceed back to have our ice-cream! The ice-cream was marvellous!! We ordered the following:
The Divine Combi
(3 scoops of ice cream + 2 toppings = macademia + strawberry cheesecake + mango sherbet + roasted almonds topping + banana topping)
This is some brownie dessert (can't remember the name liaoz).. This is
actually a brownie, top with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and drizzled with chocolate fudge; and it is soaked in a small amt of expresso! Quite a unique dessert, but sweet though.
Then what I'm gonna say is funny.. read on..
Apparently, everyone finishes the divine combi ice-cream, but no one finish up the brownie, so we played game to finish the brownie! And guess wat! It left with a quarter of brownie, and I cut it into 4 pcs, hoping tat I wld not need to finish it all.. and so, becos the gals have a sore throat, therefore they stopped eating, so its only Josh & I played! So thinking tat my "scissors, paper, stone" sure win, I therefore am game to play with him! And guess wat.. I lost ALL 4 games and had to finish up everything!

Then after which, we went home, and had a great time chatting along the way! Sarah & I will take the same bus.. so we actually got bus in front of Esplanade, but then, Josh looks very poor thing, so both of us accompanied him! Then after we almost reached Josh's location, seeing tat it was late, I shall be a gentlemen and walked Sarah hoe! =).. then we was like contradicting whether take MRT or bus.. but after much discussion to see which was nearer, and cleared all misunderstandings of stop location, we finally decided tat taking bus wld be a much better idea!
So after I walked Sarah home, by the time I reach home, it was really late liaoz.. went back and bathe, and slept!

The BEST New Year I've celebrated with anyone!
It is New Year's Eve (NYE) and its one day which I look forward for! My bro, Andrew, suggested St. John Island to celebrate NYE.. but then, last minute plans cancelled.. so pent NYE in church instead..
Went there for church service, and juz so happen tat my bros, Ash, Nat & Andrew were sitting at the same row of chairs, so I went forward to sit with them!
And it was time for testimony! Andrew apparently "dared" Nat to go up and say his tesimony, and ending with his famous words, "To God Be The Glory, The Best Is Yet To Be!".. Surprisingly, Nat was so game , and he went loh! So cool right? Nat, way to go bro! =)

Then, we went to Marche for dinner! And I was shocked! Min. spending for each card is $15 instead of the normal $10! So Andrew, Nat & myself walked the whole of Martche, wanting to eat something different! In the end, Andrew & Nat found their kind of food.. so they share loh! I not wanting to eattheir kind of food, went back to eat my usual, Rosti & Garlic Sausage! Then to fulfill the $15, I drank Ginger Beer.. Shiok I tell ya!!
Then we joked around in Marche lah.. making the whole place so noisy! hahaz.. my table (comprises of Nat, Ash, Andrew, Jon, Samuel & Jeremy) joked the most! But Andrew was named the Sicko King of Year 2005, and Nat is crowned the Lame King of Year 2005. Wonder whether will they continue their titles in 2006? Hmm.. we shall see..
And tat nite was really scandalous! Everyone let down their hair (esp. me!!) and take scandalous photos! Its been a long time since I've enjoyed myself so much.. so anyway, since its NYE, why not do it? ha.. so ya.. you may think how scandalous I can be? Anyway, Andrew was really CHEEKY tat nite! Anything I said, he can like think of it "another direction" (if ya koe wat I mean!!).. So its like anything I say, it wld not be right!! hahaz..

After which, a group of us (Felicia, Natasha, my sis, Sarah, Andrew, Nat, Ash, Jeremy, Tash & Alvin) went to Esplanade to catch the fireworks! The initial plan was to walk frm Marche, Orchard to Esplanade, but then, after much persuasion frm Josh, we decide to take MRT instead. Walked from City Hall MRT to Esplanade.. and there was again too many ppl! So we walked frm Esplanade to Benjamin Sheares Bridge, and it was a long, long, walk.. but then it was enjoyable lah..
When we reached, we were shocked tat almost half the bridge was filled with people waiting for the fireworks! What a crowd! Most of the ppl there are professional photographers; all armed with their tripod and SLR cameras! *eerks! Scary!!*
So we reached there like 2150, and sat there & wait lah.. in the meantime, we played games to pass time! Played the animal game, and the usual, turth or dare! Cool!
My sis & Sarah left halfway, and its left to the rest of us! So we waited till it was time for the fireworks and I record it with my digicam! It was beautiful lah! Ask me to send you via MSN if you want! =) I'll be glad to send it to you!
Then, after the fireworks, we went to chill out (drink coffee lah!! all underage except me leh.. so wat u expect? drink alcohol meh? =P).. Wanted to go Starbucks @ Suntec, but then too many ppl.. Actually wanted to walk to Orchard (Ash's idea a bit the crazy rite?), but then Felicia complaining of going home, so instead , we went to Starbucks @ Raffles City.
On the way to Raffles City, Ash met his cousin.. I must say she is not bad-looking, but a bit of hysterical.. sometimes a bit exaggerating too! (Sorry Ash if you are reading this! Juz expressing my tots!)
Oh yah.. Anyway, wanted to try a new drink frm Starbucks since its the New Year.. but apparently, nothing loh.. so drank my 2nd usual @ Starbucks, Rhumba Frap.

By the time we are done drinking, Nat ordered a drink and its "Venti" size somemore(FYI: Venti is the largest size for a Starbucks drink).. and I was like "Fwah! A miracle!" [becos Nat dun usually spend money on coffee joints!].. so ya.. then we was like making speculations tat it muz be Nat's resolution for Year 2006! hahaz =P
Then tat was abt 0200 once we finished our coffee! And we decide to go home! But the prob is no cab (since MRT stops its last service at 0130).. so we waited and walked frm Raffles City to Allson Hotel (near SMU), hoping tat we cld get cab.. but then, its either cab phone line busy or no cab at tat moment! so ya.. In the end, managed to call can at 0300 and Comfort Company picked up the call! Comfort company the best lah! =)
Managed to call for 3 cabs! Shared cab with Jeremy and by the time I bathe, it was 0345, and woke up at 1130! Never in my life have I woke up so late b4.. so ya! haiz.. tat was the end of Year 2005 and a start to 2006!

Well.. it has been great to end 2005 and start 2006!.. Read on to find out more!
Farewell dinner for Wendy & Sarah @ Seoul Garden & Haagen Dazs
On Fri (30/12), went to meet Josh, Sarah & Wendy for a farewell dinner (for both Sarah & Wendy!).. Met up with Josh @ City Hall MRT like at 1830, but apparently, he had some council meeting before this.. so therefore, he was late! Worst still, Sarah & Wendy was early, so 3 of us waited for Josh lahz.. haiz.. he ah..
Then he came in his shorts and we was like "Josh, u like tat going to eat dinner with us? No way loh!".. but thank God he brought a change of clothes.. so ya.. We went first to Seoul Garden (which Josh, who was the organiser, initially said tat it was a surprise, but then after much probing frm me on tat day, he finally said tat it was Seoul Garden!).. Actually, was not very keen in Seoul Garden at first, becos' I tot the food there sux.. but then after the other previous day's trip to Seoul Garden, I've changed my mind.. and wld think tat its not a bad place to dine anyway!
It has improved its variety of choices.. it ranges frm jap fanfare (like sushi & other stuff) to western (eg: pizza) to asian (eg: chinese tim sum, satay, etc).. so the spread was quite good.. moreover, I think we have to pay additional for free flow of drinks (drinks were green tea, lemon tea, peach tea & lemonade & soft drinks)..

This pic shows the self-made dessert tat I made.. posing at the camera with Josh! My dessert nice rite? =).. inside got atap seed (commonly known as atap chee), soursop and dried pesimmons.. top with ice and decorated with colourful starch bits!
This pic depicts tat Wendy is trigger happy! Apparently, both Sarah & Wendy was trigger happy lah.. dun koe wat spurtted them to do it.. but ya.. anyway, after which, we wanted to go to Haagen Dazs to eat ice-cream.. but then, no space initially.. so we reserved and then we went to the bridge near Esplanade and walk walk.. and then the person called to say a table is available, and then we proceed back to have our ice-cream! The ice-cream was marvellous!! We ordered the following:
The Divine Combi (3 scoops of ice cream + 2 toppings = macademia + strawberry cheesecake + mango sherbet + roasted almonds topping + banana topping)
This is some brownie dessert (can't remember the name liaoz).. This is actually a brownie, top with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and drizzled with chocolate fudge; and it is soaked in a small amt of expresso! Quite a unique dessert, but sweet though.
Then what I'm gonna say is funny.. read on..Apparently, everyone finishes the divine combi ice-cream, but no one finish up the brownie, so we played game to finish the brownie! And guess wat! It left with a quarter of brownie, and I cut it into 4 pcs, hoping tat I wld not need to finish it all.. and so, becos the gals have a sore throat, therefore they stopped eating, so its only Josh & I played! So thinking tat my "scissors, paper, stone" sure win, I therefore am game to play with him! And guess wat.. I lost ALL 4 games and had to finish up everything!
*Josh,. if you are reading this, just you wait!! =P

Then after which, we went home, and had a great time chatting along the way! Sarah & I will take the same bus.. so we actually got bus in front of Esplanade, but then, Josh looks very poor thing, so both of us accompanied him! Then after we almost reached Josh's location, seeing tat it was late, I shall be a gentlemen and walked Sarah hoe! =).. then we was like contradicting whether take MRT or bus.. but after much discussion to see which was nearer, and cleared all misunderstandings of stop location, we finally decided tat taking bus wld be a much better idea!
So after I walked Sarah home, by the time I reach home, it was really late liaoz.. went back and bathe, and slept!

The BEST New Year I've celebrated with anyone!
It is New Year's Eve (NYE) and its one day which I look forward for! My bro, Andrew, suggested St. John Island to celebrate NYE.. but then, last minute plans cancelled.. so pent NYE in church instead..
Went there for church service, and juz so happen tat my bros, Ash, Nat & Andrew were sitting at the same row of chairs, so I went forward to sit with them!
