Oh well.. As an emcee of Cerebos Idol Nite 2009, outfits are very important.. So I already thought of an existing attire.. Just need one more, to change in the middle of the event.. so ya..

Therefore, went to Celio Paragon to get the shirt you see above, and it was originally priced at $69, but there was a 20% discount.. so I got it at only $55.20!

Not bad right? This matches with my white jeans.. Woohoo~

I'm a certified First Aider!

Just finished 3 solid days of being a certified first aider.. This license will have a validity period of 3 years, and thereafter, if I want to renew, I would have to go back for a refresher course!

The course was not too bad, except I don't like the part that I have to study.. Don't like the studying thing one bit! Its as if I returning to school! No wonder I can't study well in Poly.. haha...

The lessons were quite interesting as I had 3 instructors.. One was a full time staff, another is a full time paramedic but part time instructor, and another is a full time Occupational Safety Officer at MoM (Ministry of Manpower).
I like the full time paramedic instructor best, because he literally told us his daily work (eg: attending to dead bodies, seeing blood everywhere, etc).. so its really quite interesting in a way!

And what's best is that my good army mate (who is also one of my holiday kakkis), Boon Sen, happens to be in a course too, as he is sent by his company for the course as well! What a small world huh.. =)

Today was the test, and I actually didn't really study.. I just studied yesterday for 3 hrs! And I actually prayed to God to help me pass the exam.. I don't ask for much.. As long as I can pass.. that's good!
But God is really so good.. Not only he gave me a passing mark, but is one of the highest marks in the class.. I'm awarded 28 marks out of 30 marks, and the passing mark was 18 marks out of 30 marks! To God be all glory!!

So ya.. really happy that I got my license, so at least I go back office, I won't lose face and all.. Imagine company send me to this course and pay for me everything, and I fail.. I tell you.. My company would have a bad impression of me lah.. Confirm one.. They will take it as I'm not serious with my work.. so ya..
Company send me to this course, because I'm a Safety Officer in my laboratory where I work in, so its essential that I attend this course.. so ya..

Super happy that I bought durians home to share with family.. Woohoo~

The birth of Cerebos Idol Nite 2009

Yoz! Today is the first project meeting for Cerebos Idol Nite 2009, and I must say I'm indeed very honoured and excited to be one of the emcees, covering the event!

It has a lot of "wow" factor, and if it pulls through, its as good as a mini Award Ceremony kind of programme!

Am already thinking through how to write up the script, as well as what song to sing and stuff.. Yes.. Though I'm the emcee for the event, but I'm still singing 1-2 songs with my co-host (she is attached but pretty!.. No chance liaox lah.. Doesn't meet my criteria somemore, because she not Christian mah... Unequal yolk.. cannot!! haha).. so ya..

But we've got some chemistry (because we share the same interest of loving food).. Am also tasked to do up a poster for this, and I must say it would be quite a challenging task, because I would need to use Photoshop for it, and I for one, am not really pro with Photoshop yet, so it needs a lot of experiment!)..

Ok.. if you must excuse me, I will need to search for songs online liaox.. Stress..

Monday blues..

Work start for me at 0700 hrs today! Yes 0700 hrs!!
Have decided to start early, so as to finish up what I need to.. orders from my boss.. I cannot defy right?

Anyway, was super pissed off with my boss yesterday, because she apparently asked me to things which she told me in the first place that I don't need to do.. Oh well.. I can't blame her.. she is my boss.. I did apologise in the end, but then still, this harbouring of bad thoughts is still in my head.. haix..

And it didn't end until 1900 hrs, when I finish doing up work (ie. trials and including cleaning up the machines).. so I worked exactly for 12 hrs!

Then now, I'm just going to blog a while before I go to dreamland.. Super tired.. And I think it would be like tat for next week as well, because my boss wants a prototype done like within 2-3 days if possible.. And mind you, it is a totally NEW formula.. Not much things for me to work with in the beginning.. You see lah.. Like that how I do? Argh..

Happy Father's Day!

Its Father's Day with my dad's birthday celebration at Brotzeit, Vivocity..

The food and the service by the waiter and waitress were fantastic.. I accidentally spilt my glass of mango juice, and they came within seconds to clear up the mess.. They even replace my cup of mango juice, which I drank a few sips only.. so ya..
At the end of it all, I even had 10% discount as there was a Citibank credit card discount.. so ya.. quite worth it I must say =).. so do try it when you are free.. its really good!

Work done.. Super tired..

You know what time I finished my work yesterday nite? 0400 hrs this morning! No joke! Am really totally shagged out, and then woke up this morning at about 1030 hrs.. I want to sleep more also cannot, because my body clock is configured at only about 6-8 hrs sleep the most.. so ya.. so I'm not the piggy that you all always call me ok =P

Then go church like in the afternoon, and after that for dinner.. Changed and now blog this post for a while, before I turn in for the night again..

Fwah.. cannot take it liaox.. too shagged..

Am also really happy that most of the Youths is attending this camp! Its been a while since I have seen so many Youths attending this camp! And I really do mean a while!.. so ya.. It couldn't have been like this without God's Hand on this whole thing! To God be the glory!!

And yes.. as usual, as with all long breaks, today when I went back to work after my half day course (CRM Awareness - which is something to do with customer service and all) at M Hotel, I was swarmed with a lot of stuff, and guess what! I didn't go home till about 2000 hrs, because my boss wants to talk to me something urgently (regarding my project).. and I simply don't understand why people like to do everything so last minute.. arghh.. I hate this kind of work lah.. *screams*

Just reached home not long ago, and now blog this blogpost, before I will go and do my office work..
And what's worst, I'm using my Mac to blog this post now, as my computer is down (must be the overheating/overworking for my annual post-church camp video), and waiting for my computer technician to do some damage control!
I actually thank God that I have asked one of my IT dept colleagues about the problem I'm having, and he told me a solution which could easily costs me the most $3.. am going to try it because I told this solution to my computer technician, and he said its not the problem.. But nevertheless, it is only going to cost me $3.. so no harm what! =)

Okay... gtg.. back to work.. wonder what time will I sleep tonite.. hmm...

Something to use with my MacBook

Apple Mini DVI to VGA Adapter
As my church camp is coming this weekend, I would be bringing my MacBook for the games (which I'm part of a team).. Moreover, my MacBook would be used as a backup in the event that the main laptop fails..

So its very important that I have to purchase the above-mentioned cable for it to be connected to a projector..
Thank God for church mates and my handy-dandy user manual, I manage to nail down the one I want to buy..

Earlier this afternoon, I made a reservation at Epicentre @ Orchard for the cable as it was the last piece. The sales assistant who served me over the telephone voluntarily helped me to do so..
Then when I went there, surprisingly its gone.. All tell me out of stock.. And I repeatedly told them that it is not out of stock.. I told them the whole story.. They find and find.. then I think they cannot find.. they tell me that it maybe sold out already, but they told me an alternative and said Bugis have, and they have made a reservation..

Was so pissed off.. I smiled very reluctantly and then just walk away..
Proceeded over to Bugis to get it, and thank goodness, they got quite a few on the shelf, or else, I would have complain to them till the cows come home..

So there.. the story of how I got this Mini DVI to VGA Adapter.. $34 was the price of this cable, but because I got EpiCentre membership, got 5% discount, so I only pay $32.30.

Now, I got to sleep.. Super tired..

Cerebos Idol Nite 2009 venue confirmed!

Well.. have done recee, and after much discussion with my team members, ZIRCA is the confirmed place for our Cerebos Idol Nite 2009! Woohoo~..

The other 2 locations which we've considered, doesn't suit our criteria, either because of the PIC or the size/layout of the venue.. Shall not say too much then..

And I kenna MC for this event this year, which is to say, I may not have the chance to participate.. Of course, I'm very sad in the first place, because it is really my passion.. but then now, haix.. even coming to this decision of cannot sing becos of emcee, is a lot of misunderstandings in between.. Don't want to talk about it.. Just felt that if ppl could just don't be too wishy-washy about it, it could have been better, rather than now doing damage control.. haix.. But the situation has been solved now, though there is still that tinge of disappointment..

Other than that, I have no further complaints, and looking forward to the event! Woots~
