Well.. today is quite a dramatic day for me.. Let me explain myself!! I'll try to KISS (KISS= Keep It Short & Simple.. wat were u thinking!?)
Feeling: Shocked (Part I)
I've got a shock of my life when I've read this morning's (29 April 2005) edition of The Straits Times.. The man who is involved in the child-sex case in Bangkok is actually MY POLYTECHNIC LECTURER who actually taught me a subject called, "Food Preservation & Quality Assurance"! My goodness!! Why did he do this?? Haiz.. anyway, below are details which is extracted from TODAY 29 April 2005:
"Temasek Polytechnic confirms arrest of staff on sex charge
IN A press statement yesterday, Temasek Polytechnic confirmed that a member of its staff, Mr Darwis Rianto Lim, had been arrested in Bangkok for alleged involvement in a sex-related offence.
The polytechnic said the Singaporean had been suspended from his duties with immediate effect.
"As the matter is in the hands of the Thai police, the polytechnic has no further comments," it said.
According to The Straits Times, Mr Lim, 31, was arrested for trying to buy sex with underage boys over the Internet. He had allegedly posted notices on the Web offering $329 for sex with a boy aged between 12 and 16.
He was caught at a Bangkok hotel by undercover police officers, who posed as sex agents, after he was shown three boys and paid for a 16-year-old, the paper said."
Feeling: Shocked (Part II)
You will NOT believe this!! I just received in my MSN email an email from a Major in the army who is the chairman for NDP 2005 Website! I dun even koe how he manage to find my blog on the net.. I admitted tat I've gone into NDP 2005 website to look for some info for some of my blogposts regarding the GOH rehearsals, but I did NOT give any personal info to the NDP website.. Man.. the internet is such a powerful tool.. well.. for those of you who are curious wat he wrote, here it is (btw, i dun think anything in the following is confidential, so shld be all right!):

Feeling: Sad,demoralised & filled with hatred
Today we book in early in the morning (as early as before 0645 must reach camp, becos' we do marshalling duty for some big shot ppl who is coming over to my base for some meeting!).. I was standing at the spot where I was briefed yesterday.. but then, my CO (Commanding Officer - the BIGGEST shot in my squadron) came early and guess wat! He started scolding ppl for some reason or another.. and I think I was the worse when he scolded me.. you koe wat he scolded me?? He scolded me "STUPID".. becos' I was standing at this position where I'm supposed to pay attention to either one of my fellow RPs or my RSM for signal as to direct the big shots coming in the the base HQ for meeting..
Then juz nice, there is this Colonel's car coming.. its either they never tell me tat this car is coming to Base HQ or I was not paying so much attention.. so this Colonel's car came in, and me being received instructions of NOT allowing any other cars to come in and park except authorized vehicles.. so I decide to ask the Colonel as to where he is going since I supposedly did not received any instructions for this guy to turn in.. so my CO saw me ask this guy and ask me wat I ask him.. my CO reply was "why you ask him where he is going? He is definately coming here for the meeting and when u ask him like tat, he wld think you are stupid!..".. he goes on and on and kept on implying me tat i was stupid! Wat's worse is tat he told my other superiors (ie, my RSM [reginmental sergeant major], S3 [asst. CO] and OC [officer in command -head of the men] ) tat I was stupid and he told the incident to each and everyone of them! man.. tat time i was super hurt!! how can he call his men stupid??
After my CO told my RSM abt the matter, my RSM was good in a sense tat he told me properly but after a while, i was tired and my attention start to wonder.. my RSM then scolded me..
The best was my S3.. he told me nicely!! he did NOT scold me or anything like tat.. i told him the reasons and he juz said 'ok'.. he is a nice guy.. haiz.. so in NS, we got this term as "bua" when kenna scolded and stuff.. so in summary, I've been "bua" today for like almost 80% liaoz leaving me only 20% of my skin.. tat's how bad.. and this morning, whenever i pass his car, i wld feel some sort of hatred!! but when i dun see his car, i feel ok.. weird isn't it!
Feeling: Pissed off!
This morning took a cab with my friend to camp becos' have to reach camp before 0645 for the marshalling thing.. I meet my friend at 0545 to take cab.. actually, in the first place, he said 0600 to take cab so as to 'siam' the midnight 50% surcharge.. but i did not really want to take with him, becos' i scared he late and stuff.. moreover, i dun quite like him.. his character simply pisses me off! so before i left home yesterday, he asked me whether i taking cab with him.. i said "no! i take cab at 0545".. he thought for a while before saying ok.. i pick you.. (FYI: he stay abt 5-10mins away frm my hse).. i said "ok" hesitantly, thinking tat ok lah.. at least get to save some money!
Then this morning, he did all tat i ask him to do (ie, call cab and be on time etc..) but then, it was his FIRST time coming to my hse (though everytime he take bus with me and saw me stop tat bus-stop near my hse).. but he claim tat he forgot! so he msg me when he is in the cab (which i ask him to do so, so i roughly can gauge when he is coming).. i waited like 10-15mins after he send tat SMS.. then he called me said tat he lost his way.. and after much explaination frm me, he finally pick me up in abt 5mins time after he called me..
I was thinking its a normal cab.. suddenly, he came in one Prestige cab (which is a Merc cab and becos' we call, there is this $1.20 extra charge , which shld be waived off if its a normal Toyota cab according to SMRT cab rules!).. but then no choice.. he in tat cab already.. so no choice.. have to take..
Then when i reach there, its already $6.30 (excluding the $1.20 extra charge, and y $6.30, becos' he made the wrong turn to find my place and also it run by $0.15 instead of the normal $0.10 becos' of the midnight 50% surcharge)..
so i gave directions to the cab driver as to how to get to camp and by the time i reach there, the total fare (including the $1.20 charge) was $15.20.. so i counted and stuff.. which at first i miscalculated and my friend (lets juz call him 'J'- yes.. its tat SAME 'J' guy whom I've mentioned in my earlier blogposts.. tat guy who pisses me off.. dun remember?? nvm!..) make noise.. so by right, i shld have pay him $6.20 (after splitting the $2.40 boarding fee and $1.20 extra charge).. but 'J' insist tat I split cost with him the $6.30 becos' he needs to go my place.. but my stand was tat becos' its his problem who lost his way in finding my place and make one big round.. i also told him tat its NOT fair for me to split the full cost with him as its his fault and not mine.. btw, when i ask him yesterday whether he koe, he said "yes" after so much explanation frm me..
And then he insisted on his stand tat i shld pay.. in order to make him shut up, i decide to pay him and ask him how much he want.. in the end, i paid $7.50 instead of the by right charge of $6.20..
I now koe tat i will insist NOT to take cab with him anymore.. i shld have make my stand and not take cab with him this morning.. i shld have juz spend $12 (if i take cab alone to camp, this is how much i have to pay!) to escape all these crap frm him.. the reason y i decide to leave at 0545 instead of the 0600 is like to "shake" him off, so tat i'll have the whole cab to myself! argghh..
worse still, he behind my back complain to one of my friends which my friend accidentally leak out while i take cab with him in the evening on the way back, becos' he was like a bit calculative.. no choice lah.. take cab with ppl is like tat one.. but frankly speaking, i was also guilty in telling this cab incident abt 'J' to one of my friends too, but i koe he wont tell ppl becos' he is those can keep secrets one.. so ya.. arrggghhh.. this 'J' guy juz keep stepping on my toes!
Feeling: Happy (Part I)
This involves my Christian walk!! For mths, since I in NS, I have been missing out a lot on my spritual life.. as in never do Quiet Time, go church, etc.. so I have been down a lot!
But today at cell, I'm glad I attended it!! one of my church elder (we call him uncle weng seng) came to my hse and be a guest host for the cell group.. frankly speaking, the things he talk is a bit boring.. almost felt like sleeping *oops*.. but then the ministry time (ie, he went round praying for everyone) after it is good.. He said a lot of encouraging stuff to me.. but one of which i remembered clearly.. he said "remember tat as you put on your army uniform, you are putting on the armour of God and He will guide you in your paths as long as you say yes!".. wow.. tat moment I was encouraged.. becos' I've been waiting for a sign.. becos' i was about to give up on my spritual walk.. so only after today, I koe tat God has always been guiding me and NOT given up on me, so i shld NOT give up on myself! =) Praise the LORD!
Feeling: Happy (Part II)
The sergeants tried to plead with my PC (Platoon Commander who is my officer by the way) to book in tml morning.. but they failed.. so all of us, as privates, when to look for my PC but he has got some function to attend.. so one of us called my PC and Praise the LORD tat my PC allowed us to come tml morning instead of booking in 2359 tonite! so yupz! =)
ooppss.. i think i talk too much and have taken too much of ur time.. but guess wat!! you've got a LOOONNNGG weekend (with being Sun is S'pore Labour day and the following day which is a monday is a declared public holiday), while me have to do duty tml (sat) and mon.. haiz.. so no excuse for you not to read! ha
ok lah.. me gotta sleep liaoz.. i got to wake up like 5.30am the next morning.. its like 12.24am now.. but y i can 'tong' so long is becos' i slept in the afternoon in camp for like 3hrs.. ha..

Preparation for NDP 2005 GOH (Part IV)
Well.. im here again with the weekly GOH prepration blogpost (was suppose to do this yesterday but then, i was P1, so have to stay in camp.. compesating now!).. well.. the day was quite tiring becos' we did the practice of the fe du jour (which is the French word for "Fires Of Joy").. It looks easy on TV, but its not easy at all.. becos' shooting 3 rounds total only needs 30sec-1min.. and considering abt 500ppl firing (NOT only RSAF GOH is participating.. there is also the NAVY GOH, POLICE GOH & SAF GOH).. so ya..
and guess wat!! I saw my primary school friend in NAVY GOH.. but did NOT say 'hi' to him becos' he may not be able to recognise me in the first place.. anywaym FYI, all i koe tat he is in the NDU (Navel Diving Unit) but did not koe tat he is in the Navy GOH until yesterday.. wow! The world is such a small place..
**NDU guys are EXTREMELY fit.. becos' they do strenous exercise like swimming and running for long distances.. NOT easy.. so ya.. juz some info for you!
Last weekend, I went shopping @ Royal Sporting House to shop for stuffs with my $150 voucher (i gave $100 to my sis, so tat lefts me with $150)! got 2 nike products.. a sling bag and a shoe!! nice products i muz say!! no time to take photo.. probably during the wkends or tml, i will take a photo and post it up for you all to see ya.. =).. proud of my stuffs! nice nice.. ok.. i shall stop!

"Sway" to the core!
Haiz.. I'm writing this blogpost with heavy heart feelings..
Some of you wld koe tat I got punishment becos' of sumthing which was always done by the senior RPs but the sergeant never cared, but yesterday, the twist came when the sergeant decides to "play stunt", and he wants to punish us for it! Will not reveal more details or type wat is the exact scenerio, becos' it is sensitive stuff (it concerns the ARMY!).. so ya.. hope you understand! =).. but in the meantime, juz pray tat the punishment wld be light (ie, NO extra duties for me, becos' if i have extra duties, this means tat I have to burn my wkend and NO church for me.. so ya.. will appreciate it much for your prayers! )
Today we dismount late becos' got 100% incoming checks on ALL vehicles.. its siong i tell u.. was suppose to stay back for lesson (on wat we did today during the 100% incoming check) by my OC but then becos its so late, my OC decides to do the lesson tml.. Thank God!
However, we have to go back camp before 10.30pm TONITE, becos' tml got drill @ Nee Soon Camp!! Man.. another indian moment tml! ha.. but sian loh.. 10.30pm tonight!! =(
haiz.. ok.. gtg and do some errands.. activating my 1500kbps BroadBand after 5pm! yippie!! =)

Sony Ericsson 508i
At last!! The site is working again!! Anyway, yupz.. here is the pic of my Sony Ericsson 508i phone!!

Just another day !
Well.. I'm written this post with much boredom.. dun koe y.. Probably I'm sleepy.. tats y..
Was supposed to have a photo blog of my NEW & FREE Sony Ericsson 508i mobile phone.. but then, somehow the website got prob.. so cant post.. nvm.. i'll try another time! Well.. my evaluation on Sony Ericsson 508i?? I wld only give it 50/100! The design of the programs and design of phone beat Nokia hands-down, but the phone is NOT user-friendly.. I can give u 3 typical examples:
(a) The back cover of the phone is so hard to take out!! If you no nails, u can dun bother to open up the casing of the phone.. its tat hard! If you are too rough, u are afraid tat the casing wld spoil.
(b) The SIM card is even worse!! Even harder to take the SIM card out from the slot!! I take out until my fingernails want to break liaoz!
(c) I compare messaging on the Sony Ericcson (SE) phone and Nokia phone.. I try to msg the same sentence on both phones and the verdict is tat, I take longer (approx. 3mins) to type the sentence on the SE phone while on the Nokia phone, I only take 30secs! Its a lot of troublesome work to do when messenging.
Now finish talking abt the cons of SE phones, the pros is not tat good either but its good enuff.. wat I'm referring to is the backdrop of the phone screen (when its on!) and the Games (particularly the Java games) simply beat Nokia hands-down!
Oh.. FYI: My 1500kbps SingNet Broadband is starting THIS wednesday (26/4) after 5pm.. so yupz!
Enough of the phones.. I shall get on with the blogpost abt today and stuff!
Today went to church but was late for the music practice (was actually there juz when the practice ended and the prayer started!) becos' of the waiting of the redemption of phone @ hello! Citylink branch! why NOT other hello! branch u may ask.. the condition is tat I can redeem the free phone only either @ Citylink or Funan! so yupz.. In front of my queue, was actually 9 ppl queueing up and not counting other nos. (which was not relevant as they require service of phones by the salesperson).. so I waited close to 30mins, b4 my no. was called.. and in a matter of 15mins, i was done and was getting my way to church..
today's playing with Aunty Eunice (my pastor's wife) was quite pleasant!! Thank goodness.. her playing style is like mine.. so wat i did at church is tat I accompany her with her playing.. Sometimes is she accompany me.. but most of the time, she juz play the chords.. whereas I'm more daring.. in a sense tat I play with maj7 or maj9 chords.. ppl like Huimin and 3notes wld koe my style.. Hee.. =)
Went with the Youths to Meridian Hotel Foodcourt for dinner after church.. As usual, I ate Thai food (to be precise, its the Tom Yam Soup with Crispy Noodles).. not very nice though.. not as nice as I tasted last time and the servings are real small.. wanted to eat durian with glutinous rice as dessert but happen to be sold out (as according to the vendor.. dun koe how true!), so in the end, i ate ice mango longan.. the desserts is nice!! I gave my sis a treat by buying Red Ruby dessert for her.. my goodness!! The Red Ruby is nice loh! You shld go and try it.. The Red Ruby of course consists of thick coconut milk, red rubies (the flour covering the water chestnut very nice to chew), green-coloured sago and the best of all, nata de coco.. yummy!! all these for a cheap price of $2!! its nice loh!! next time, i will eat Red Ruby or at least the desserts there.. the desserts there very nice!
During dinner, had a good chat with my good pal, Alvin.. chatted with him everything under the sun.. its always a pleasure to chat with him =)
then b4 going back, I pop by Starbucks and had my usual dose of coffee Frap, the Rumba Frappucino!! while @ Starbucks, I then figured how to use the SE phone.. now, i'm more or less familiar with it! and becos' of the familiarisation process @ Starbucks, I'm now able to write the SE phone commends on this blogpost mah.. =)

Disappointed! =(
This is a fast one.. becos' my sis needs to use the computer.. so yupz..
Anyway, according to my Sgt, i did NOT attain a Silver becos' my results were NOT good enuf for silver.. so ya.. was disappointed at first but now ok liaoz.. as long as I pass, its ok! =)
And tonite I bk in before 2359 becos tml I duty!!
But a consolation though!! my SingNet vouchers are coming tml nite and Sat, I'm gonna do those errands!! Man.. aren't I excited! =)

Preparation for NDP 2005 GOH (Part III)
Yes!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!! I pass!!.. k.. I shall stop now.. you muz be getting irritated!
Well.. u all muz be thinking wat I've passed.. and you probably guess it rite!! I've passed my IPPT!! At last.. after like since when I was 17.. yes!! tats how long I've failed!! But last time fail never mind.. fail in NS, n you wld be jialat! so now I've passed, I feel so happy.. even though I'm feeling like aches everywhere! Here are my results.. I koe its not good enuf for a Silver.. but I'm glad I've passed.. if you are curious, here is my results:

Sit-ups: 43 (5 pts)

Standing Broad Jump: 216 cm (2 pts)

Just realise something.. I may be eligable for a Silver IPPT Award (becos' i got 15 pts!).. which means I can get $100 as an incentive!! well.. depends on my OC lah.. see whether he give me or not.. but wats impt is tat I've PASSED!! All thanx to God!
as for today's GOH rehearsal, we went to Nee Soon Camp.. the camp was beautiful.. seems like newly renovated.. the Police GOH, Navy GOH and us, the RSAF GOH was on drills today.. it was quite shiong, partly becos' we are like under the sun for hours.. and the most tiring is tat they start the drills from scratch.. so yupz.. imagine you had to stand under the sun and do those drills from scratch.. very tiring.. not forgetting the muscle and body aches I am having now, as I did my IPPT yesterday.. had more than enuf sleep but becos' slept so much, when woke up, you feel tired, so therefore like not enuf sleep loh! Moreover, i'm now like very tanned! so you can see the tanned lines on my face loh!!
Yesterday at camp, finally the SingNet ppl had call me and told me details abt the vouchers.. and guess wat!! One of them called and told me the earliest was 27/4.. but then, i want to see my hp calendar so as to see whether im available, so i ask the person to call back in 5mins time.. abt. 10mins later, another lady (sounds like a Philipino) called and told me now tat the earliest they can send me is on 22/4.. i was like 'ok'.. so i agreed.. i of course wld not be at home becos i mount duty on fri mah.. but will come back on sat.. so b4 going to church, i will make a trip down to Hello! shop @ Orchard to do my SingNet BroadBand errands! well.. I'm excited! =)
another good news is tat I'm going back to camp tml morning, so can sleep at home!! Yeh!!
k.. can't think of anything else, except to think tat I can't thank God enuf!! oh.. if you have prayed, thank YOU too!! =)

Hello!! =)
Well.. surprise to see me online again?? No i guess.. *thick skin*..
Anyway, got to book out today and tml go back camp b4 7.30am becos' guess wat.. IPPT is tml AGAIN!! well.. dun koe y but they seem to like us taking IPPT.. haiz.. wats the pt of taking when I keep on failing?? well.. hope tml my results DUN de-prove.. so yupz.. if you can, pray for me ya.. =)
The wait for my SingNet thingy is killing me, so I decide to give SingNet a call.. and guess wat they said!! they say tat either today or tml they wld give me a call (which today they did NOT call) and once they give me the call, my 1500kbps BroadBand will start.. however, the vouchers I have to wait for another 10 working days.. man.. I was planning this wkend to go and take the freebies.. but now, haiz.. dun koe whether its possible!!
Regarding church, my dad told me last minute tat this week wld be a combined service.. so I'm required to play the piano ALONG with Aunty Eunice (for those who dun koe her, she is my Pastor's wife).. well.. never heard Aunty Eunice play the piano b4 and I dun koe whether my playing style will match or crash with hers or whether am I'm playing the main or the accompaniment?? I dun koe.. I have so much questions in my mind.. God, pls help!!
Haiz.. my best friends from my Primary School (after like 6-7 yrs of separation and did not get each other's contact, only since!) actually jio me for dinner tml, but tml I have to do P1.. so can't bk out.. haiz.. so sad.. but i gave them a alternative date.. dun koe whether they can or not!
now surfing net for lots of things.. one of which is Friendster.. so long never play liaoz.. =)

Sianz.. *sigh*
hiz.. yesterday duty at camp was one of the BEST I've done so far.. Only 4 hrs of duty (partly becos its weekend!).. was suppose to be 5 hrs (the last hr being a foot prowl, but then there is lightning and stuff which we call it CAT 1, so its canceled!) Was doing duty in the morning then nothing to do till nite.. stand main gate duty frm 11pm-1am.. then guess wat!! I slept all the way from 1am to abt 7am.. of course, woke up in the middle.. was tossing and turning.. somehow cant really sleep well.. maybe i slept too much in the afternoon?
i also did quite a grave mistake yesterday.. i did flag lowering but in the wrong order.. if the Base RSM sees it, im gonna get it real hard.. so thank God yesterday was a wkend, and the sgt juz close one eye.. so ya..
today bk out, and i was suppose to go out.. however, i want to watch the NKF Charity Show (by MediaCorp artiste) tonite.. so not possible to rush back by 7pm.. so haiz.. got to stay at home.. =(..

Preparation for NDP 2005 GOH (Part II)
Today was the LAST combined practice of the GOH contingent at Changi Air Base.. Next week onwards, our rehearsals wld be at Nee Soon Camp (which is juz a 5-10mins bus ride from my camp!).. and these rehearsals wld be a combined one (which is all the marching contingents come together!)
Today we concentrate mainly on our marching (which is quite up to standard i muz say) and the "fires of joy" (dun koe the French name for it!).. the "fires of joy" has the shiokest (if there was such a word!) feeling of all.. if all do at the same time, then, its real nice!! man.. i dun really koe how to explain.. you have to be doing it urself to experience tat kind of shiok feeling!! =)
but then, we were tired out today.. mainly is our right arm.. becos' we are carrying our rifles in a specific position for close to 30mins.. so naturally, your hand will ache after some time.. the muscles wld turn stiff.. and considering the rifle is abt 3kg.. so yupz.. arms will always ache when i hold the arms for too long.. but tat is one sacrifice i must make to be in GOH!
then came back to camp but there was a bit of delay sending back our rifles to the armoury.. was feeling a bit vexed becos of tiredness as well as i'm hungry.. at 1.30pm.. we still had not had our lunch yet.. naturally, u wld feel vexed.. "a hungry man is a angry man".. isn't this true??
but all was all right when we ask our officer to bk in tml morning rather than tonite before 2359 and guess wat!! he agreed!! becos' tml we will mount duty a bit later than usual.. so ya.. Thank God!! becos' of this, i then can attend cell group peacefully!! ha..
still waiting earnestly for my vouchers from SingNet.. man.. aren't I'm excited!!

my chin-ups i fail by 1, while my standing broad jump, i failed by abt 9cm.. my shuttle run was a shocker.. usually i run 11.2sec.. my personal best is 10.8sec.. but today i run was 10.5sec.. this is really a shocker! thank God! =)
well.. yupz.. think tat shld be all.. going back to camp later and as usual, bk in b4 2359.. becos' tml going to do drills for GOH.. tml is a siong day! definately! haiz.. but wat to do?? =(

Preparation for NDP 2005 GOH!
Well.. since I'm like coming back almost everyday, and once I'm back, I will blog.. so I shall start this series of blog ya.. so today blogpost is the FIRST! so yupz..
today at abt 1pm, we (ie, the GOH shift) left for Paya Lebar Air Base ST Log to collect some stuff for our NDP 2005 GOH.. at first, we thought we were sitting an air-con coach but then also a tunnel was on the way too! so we were like debating what will we sit as a transport to Paya Lebar Air Base ST Log? but in the end, we sat the tunnel!
The tunnel was such a nostalgic experience.. the last time we sat tunnel was when we were transport frm Paya Lebar Air Base to Sembawang Air Base due to our posting results after my course.. and taking my memories further back, the last time we sat tunnel was during our field camp and stuff during my BMT days.. tat is so long back..
Anyway, we sat the tunnel nothing with us, so sumhow, the tunnel looks bigger! and during the trip, becos of the driver sudden break, we were all like squeeze to the front.. its like mass falling loh!
Then there we reach Paya Lebar Air Base ST Log.. we took actually quite long becos' you have to like try on the uniform and other stuff.. the uniform we took are frm last yr's GOH.. those tailor made ones.. the ones tat we got tailor made is only for the main event itself.. so those rehearsal and stuff, we wear the old one.. so yupz.. tat is the trick loh!! =)
well.. this NO.1 uniform can only be worn once in my lifetime.. so I die-die muz take photo! =).. muz dun koe when lah!
well.. then after came back to camp and guess wat!! tml have drills.. so tat means i have to bk in before 2359 tonite and tml i P1, so tml i won't be coming back.. so no blogpost! yupz.. but i dun mind do P1, becos' i get to do with my platoon mates in FDC.. normal shift cannot be together but then for this P1 can be together.. so y not?? =)

Really tired!!
Well.. before I continue, I think im getting really sadistic!! The last duty I perform, i got so bored tat I actually with my friend, burn some flies and a caterpillar to death using a mosquito coil! yes!! we are tat sadistic!! the sgt actually also join in the fun! ha.. sadisit rite?? its AMAZING what ARMY + BOREDOM can do to you! =)
anyway, juz came back from camp! was suppose to bk out like like 1pm this afternoon (after the NDP 2005 Guard-Of-Honour [GOH] drills practice at Changi Air Base this morning and I tell you.. its TIRING!)
but then, my RSM (Regimental Sergeant Major) say cannot as its against the rules!The day before, my officer (aka Platoon Commander -PC) thought can, but in the end, have to listen to RSM, so no choice, have to stay in bunk till 5pm then can bk out!
So since we are so shagged out, we slept till like 3pm, then get ready for standby (as instructed by my sergeant), but then, last minute cancel.We standy is becos' the the Chief of Air Force came to my air-base, to commend on those SCDF (Singapore Civil Defence Force) personnel who has went to Medan to help those earthquake victims.. Today those SCDF personnel came back from Medan..
Anyway, so since we thought cancel, we cont. sleeping.. Juz as I was abt to enter dramland, one of my shift mates told us tat our sgt call to go down to main guardrm, as a tree has FALLEN off and its blocking the main entrance!! So we go down is to marshal traffic (both the normal base personnels who are going home and the Medan personnels next-of-kin).. so we machiam like special forces rush down to main guardrm (which is abt 10mins walk away!)
but in the end, too many ppl, so end up in some not doing anything.. i was one of them.. so i went to collect food ration (thank God for helping me to remember the procedure- as in the keying of the no. into the computer in the cookhse.. becos' if key wrongly, u have to pay in cash for the mistake u did loh!).. so after collecting rations and send to the various locations in the base (where our ppl is doing duty), we are back at the guardrm at abt 6pm and I cont. rotting in the guardrm till like 7.45pm.. then dun koe who ask, then the officer in charge say we can go home liaoz.. so by the time i reach home, its like 9pm loh.. and thank God too tat my friend's dad gave me a lift to Ang Mo Kio MRT.. so tats y i can reach home so fast loh!
so now quite tired.. tml need to bk in at normal timing loh.. haiz.. but then, tml can come home but need ot be at home before 2359 tml after bking out at 5pm!!
so ya.. for those who commented on my blog, thanx! =)

anyway, juz came back from camp! was suppose to bk out like like 1pm this afternoon (after the NDP 2005 Guard-Of-Honour [GOH] drills practice at Changi Air Base this morning and I tell you.. its TIRING!)
but then, my RSM (Regimental Sergeant Major) say cannot as its against the rules!The day before, my officer (aka Platoon Commander -PC) thought can, but in the end, have to listen to RSM, so no choice, have to stay in bunk till 5pm then can bk out!
So since we are so shagged out, we slept till like 3pm, then get ready for standby (as instructed by my sergeant), but then, last minute cancel.We standy is becos' the the Chief of Air Force came to my air-base, to commend on those SCDF (Singapore Civil Defence Force) personnel who has went to Medan to help those earthquake victims.. Today those SCDF personnel came back from Medan..
Anyway, so since we thought cancel, we cont. sleeping.. Juz as I was abt to enter dramland, one of my shift mates told us tat our sgt call to go down to main guardrm, as a tree has FALLEN off and its blocking the main entrance!! So we go down is to marshal traffic (both the normal base personnels who are going home and the Medan personnels next-of-kin).. so we machiam like special forces rush down to main guardrm (which is abt 10mins walk away!)
but in the end, too many ppl, so end up in some not doing anything.. i was one of them.. so i went to collect food ration (thank God for helping me to remember the procedure- as in the keying of the no. into the computer in the cookhse.. becos' if key wrongly, u have to pay in cash for the mistake u did loh!).. so after collecting rations and send to the various locations in the base (where our ppl is doing duty), we are back at the guardrm at abt 6pm and I cont. rotting in the guardrm till like 7.45pm.. then dun koe who ask, then the officer in charge say we can go home liaoz.. so by the time i reach home, its like 9pm loh.. and thank God too tat my friend's dad gave me a lift to Ang Mo Kio MRT.. so tats y i can reach home so fast loh!
so now quite tired.. tml need to bk in at normal timing loh.. haiz.. but then, tml can come home but need ot be at home before 2359 tml after bking out at 5pm!!
so ya.. for those who commented on my blog, thanx! =)
ok.. gtg.. i will do some other stuff b4 going to sleep on my bed (which i did not sleep like for close to a week!)..

a NEW beginning on my blog!
allo!! well.. this is my NEW blog tat I had designed!! Nice?? As mentioned in my previous blogpost, this takes me close to 6hrs! so ya..
I'm sorry tat it takes so long to load the images and stuff.. dun koe y.. hope you dun mind ya.. =)
Oh.. there is a NEW feature in my blog, but its NOT up yet, as its still pending the approval of the webmaster of the site.. its like a mobile blogpost, where u can post short blog post via sms! well.. got this idea from my good pal, Alvin!! i think its a good idea though.. so i can be updating on the go! whhheeee.. =).. the application takes up to a week, so you need to wait ya! =)
i hope you like the background music of this blog though! its my personal fave!
give me some commends via my Shoutbox of how you rate this NEW blog of mine, and any improvements to be made?? i try my best to fulfill it, but NO guarantee huh.. so yupz..
this wk at camp nothing much, except to say tat I have to bk in 2359 tonite again (after we dismount again today! its exactly like fri.. argghh..) becos' tml going Changi Air Base for GOH rehearsals and later to Paya Lebar Air Base (my old home!.. ha) to collect some stuff before heading back to Sembawang Air Base and book out! well.. good news is I get to see some of my old platoon mates & one of my fave sgt as well, during my course at Paya Lebar Air Base!.. well.. certainly looking forward for tml..
so here is me signing off.. dun think i have time to blog tonite, becos' tonite got guest coming to my hse and by the time i come back, its time for me to bk in.. so yupz..

surprise.. surprise!!
well.. these few days at camp is indeed full of surprises!! some are good whilst some are bad.. let me explain in a few words:
Bad surprises:
(a) today I dismount for duty, so tat means I shld have a day off today (which means I get to sleep tonite at home, and bking in early tml morning for standby duty).. however, becos' I'm part of the Guard-Of-Honour (GOH), so now, all the GOH personnel wld form one shift and the officer is still my officier.. so not so bad.. however, the bad thing is tat I have to bk in TONITE before 2359, as I had to do duty tml.. so tonite sleep in camp and NOT at home.. this is so toturing!!
(b) Remember the "J" guy tat I've mentioned in my previous blogpost?? Guess wat! He got into my nerves again, but this time, NOT only mine.. he also get into my Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) and sgt's nerves!! shall not elaborate more.. except to say tat something quite bad happen to him this morning and he got 2 extra duties frm RSM and "J" also got a scolding from my sgt, as he talk in a very improper tone on the pyset (and I was actually the one who ask "J" a question over the pyset and he answered in a rude way, and in the end, he got scolded by my sgt).. well.. "J" is a trouble-maker lahz.. sometimes, really cannot stand him!!
(c) "J" is not the only one who gets into my nerves.. another person named "GS" also gets into my nerves.. "GS" has also attitude problem and always want to find ways and means to "eat snake".. believe it or not.. he can even "talk back" to my sgt and even though if he dun "talk back", he wld talk in a very sarcastic manner! this "GS" guy wat I can say abt him is tat he is a HYPOCRITE! A lot of events tat happen (which I have seen with my own eyes) makes me think he is a utter hypocrite!
man.. its as if I'm scolding and cursing ppl.. well.. its venting anger and moreover, im NOT spinning tales!! I'm juz stating a fact!
now for the good surprises..
(a) I've spent like 4-5 hrs today on a new blog.. its LAUCHING this sunday (10/4) abt. afternoon-evening time!! I've got all the html ready already.. its juz tat I want to keep u in suspense.. but a word of caution though!! DUN expect a very high standard from me, as I'm not a IT expert like Derek (aka my kor).. i juz do quite a ordinary one, but its enuf for me to call it good (according to my standards lah!).. so look out for it on sun ya.. =).. i juz love my NEW blog!
(b) According to my officer, he said tat when we are in GOH, our days wld mostly be 8am-5pm, so tat means tat we are able to go home at 5pm and come before 8am for either drills/duties!
ok lah.. need to go and bathe liaoz.. leaving hse in abt 30-45mins time!! haiz..

irritated guy at camp! *argghh*
arrghhh!! this blogpost is mainly to like vent my anger!! i'm feeling very vexed over a particular guy whom i juz named "J"..
Well.. he is a fellow who is like so stubborn and always getting onto other ppl's nerves.. even I dun feel like talking to him nowadays! i koe i shld not do it but i simply cldn't take it anymore! he goes to the expense of "eating my time" when I had done like 8hrs of duty so far the same day (4hrs straight in the day and the next 4hrs in the evening).. its tiring.. especially imagine you have like 6-7kg of load on ur back and ur shoulders wld start to ache and the pain is imbearable!! he "eats into my time" is NOT like 2-3mins... its like 10-15mins loh!! tat is a lot ya koe!
was esp. mad at him yesterday nite when he is supposed to take over my duty frm 9pm all the way till 11pm.. he came like 9.15pm and i ask him why he is so late.. and guess wat was his answer! his answer was " I was talking to Sir (who is my officier)"..
this is not the only incident tat has he has blown my fuse! he actually during duty actually sat down and slept (he can get charged and thrown into Detention Barracks for tat if the officier wants to give him a harsh treatment! a minor one wld be I think given 3 extras!) while I was standing up and walking ard and do duty!! told him not to do it already but he still dun listen and he continue to do it.. and i ask him y he is so tired.. he told me the night b4, he slept like only an hour b4 he bk in to camp, as he is doing his computer stuff.. my goodness! where got such ppl??
yesterday's incident was the worst! yesterday was raining heavily at camp and we as guards, if you are outdoors, you muz wear raincoat! but i was fortunate! i got into indoors doing duty!.. whereas, this "J" guy got duty at main gate.. so tat means he has to wear raincoat!! my sgt called him over the pyset (aka walkie-talkie) to wear his raincoat and he juz answered "roger" but did NOT do anything! sgt pyset alover to him again and he still answer "roger" but NOT doing anything.. until a officier came over and like reprimand him or sumthing.. then he wear the CISCO raincoat (which we shld NOT wear, becos only CISCO personnels then can wear).. then he came over and ask me whether i got raincoat! i of course replied "yes" and i lent it to him.. but the best thing is he asked "where did i get the raincoat".. tat is like the joke of the century.. i told him the original source and he said "oh.. i thought i dun need it, so i put it back in bunk!".. tat time, i almost fainted!
haiz.. not only i dislike him.. i think the whole shift (even the sgt) also like dislike him a bit.. those senior RPs even called him a condemned personnel in shift! haiz.. y muz I have such ppl in camp?? God.. pls help!!
anyway, will have a siong wk this wk at camp as well as nxt wk, becos' this wk i mount on thurs, off on fri, mount on sat, off on sun, and NDP drill rehearsals start on mon (11/4).. yeeks!
tml wld NOT be coming back summore, becos i tio P1.. =(

I feel so blessed!!
Well.. this is one blogpost which I must no matter how tired am I right now, muz still write.. becos if I dun, I wld feel very uneasy!
Anyway, this is more like a thanksgiving unto God blogpost! so here goes..
There are a number of things happening over the course of this week, which makes me want to write this blogpost.. so hang on and see wat GOD did to my life over the past week.. so here goes..
(1) If you have ever been to Sembawang Air Base (which I think you have NOT but anyway), you would need to walk like 15-20 mins (depends on ur walking speed) then you wld reach the base and need another like 10mins to reach my bunk (and mind you, the 10mins is taking the short route! the long route takes abt. another 5 mins more!).. so by the time u reach my bunk, no matter how slow you walk, u sure sweat one.. trust me! So the miracle came when I got like sort of pick-ups frm ppl I dun koe while I was walking in half-way and this NOT only happen once but 3 times!
(a) The first time was a cab-ride from my shift mate (but he is like much senior than me becos' he ORDing soon).. I was like so shocked.
(b) The second time was from a shift driver who is on duty tat nite! also he is much more senior than me.. I thought he wld fetch me only till the main gate, never did I expect tat he fetch me to my bunk!
(c) The third (but happen only yesterday!) time was from a CAPTAIN (who is a officer) whom I totally NEVER seen before! This captain officer offered me a space in his car and drive me all the way till the guard post! See how God works!
(2)Went to church today.. was playing for worship at service today.. and guess wat!! I've NO problems settling in becos' i koe quite a no. of youths there (be it in the congregation or the worship team today), so thank God for tat too!
After service, a number of us (the youths lah) went to Cuppage Terrace for dinner.. ate Thai food, and now, my throat is like dried up becos' the Thai food is spicy! After tat, my good pal, Alvin, juz came back from sispec came to the food court.. so I talk to him loh.. had a good chat with him.. he actually can't attend church today becos' of his late bk out timing (tats wat he told me via SMS)! but well.. he showed up and it was like a total surprise to me!
After dinner, i followed some of the youths to play pool.. but i did not play lah.. i juz see see look look.. too tired to do anything.. so wat i do?? i tok to alvin! =)
(3) Min and Derek (M.A.D. couple) came to meet the youths for dinner.. had a good time fellowship with both of them though, even though both of them never attend service! so if they are reading this blog, i juz want to give a good shoutout to them by saying, THANK YOU!
so now you can see how God works!! He works in such small ways which we think is minute, but indeed, God has shown Himself thru such small incidents which happen to me!! really glad I went to church today.. can't wait to meet up with those youths again!! *anxious look on face*.. but the bad news is tat I have to wait like end of this mth, before i can attend another service! =(
guess wat!! i have to bk in later at 10am becos' I'm P1 force... guess it wld be another "nuah" day in bunk again.. read newspapers and sleepzzzZZZzzz... haiz..
